  • Here, KC HiLiTES will show you step by step how to install our #6308 wiring harness onto your vehicle so that you can easily wire off-road lights. This wiring harness installation guide applies to Jeeps, Toyotas, Chevys, Fords, UTVs, or anything else that you can put off road lights onto. It's pretty simple to do, but can be awfully frightening for those who aren't used to working on electrical systems.
    www.kchilites....
    In this video, we used a Jeep Wrangler to demonstrate how to wire off-road lights, and specifically we used our Gravity LED Pro6 lights with amber covers as you see at the end of the video.
    For over 50 years, the KC brand has been a symbol of outdoor freedom, adventure, quality, and performance. We take features engineered for off-road racing and design them into unique lighting and adventure products used by those who have a thirst for the paths less traveled. We stand for the outdoor enthusiasts - from off-roaders to hikers to mountain bikers and anyone in-between - because that’s who we are, and we make products to allow us to adventure further.

    If you’re going to install driving lights you need to connect them to your bright light circuit using a relay so they only work when the bright lights are on. Guess I’ll keep looking for a diy video that’s more than basic “switch on, lights on. I was hoping KC would have done a better job!

    I purchased these lights and already have an S-Pod type system in place. I don't need the provided switch, but I can't find anything that shows or explains how to install without provided switch. In this scenario; If the Yellow is Supply, Red is Load, Black is Earth does that mean...Yellow is Positive, Red is Negative and Black is Ground? I wish I knew more about wiring, but hopefully someone can help? Thank you.

    • @rogercueto
      @rogercueto 4 года назад +3

      @@christopherroy7748 you use two harnesses with two relays and run both "turn on" leads from the relays to the switch. You'll have one ground and one source from the battery to the switch which essentially controls both relays.

    3:47 long video, and the only real thing they showed was zip-tieing the wires. These kits are fairly simple to install, but you won't know that from this. Look elsewhere for better instructions.

    You should go through Junction box, fuse, relay for the switch and if possible through ECU for indication Instrument panel light.
