Much Cheaper than an sPOD!

- In this video I'll be installing a Voswitch, its basically the same thing as an sPOD but at a much cheaper price point. Basically an all in one fuse, switch, and relay box. Voswitch makes a direct bolt in kit for the JL and JK Jeep Wranglers and also the Gladiator. They also make a universal kit that can be used in any vehicle setup although you could use the JL kit in any vehicle as well. The button colors and functions are programmable and its a pretty neat setup. In this video I'll show you how to install it and how it works.

I just installed the Voswitch on my JKU a few days ago. Love it so far. I have my lights, on board water, air, etc and it’s flawless so far
Thank you for videos like this. We’d been procrastinating on this one because we weren’t sure on how we wanted to route the wires. We have a different switch pod, but really similar to this one. Never even crossed our minds to run it under the windshield. It’s the little tips like this that make your vids so helpful. Your steer smarts vid for example highlighted a bracket I didn’t know I needed bc it wasn’t mentioned on the website. So thank you for being so detailed.
I remember the old one you made. I always imagined making one out of a module controller for a boat (marine application) and just using it for the truck. This looks a lot nicer for a car than a marine one would look. Thanks for the in depth video!
That is very cool and would make a huge difference for me on the added lights and other electrical accessories I have installed in my JL. You have done some great videos that I have used for items on my 03 Rubicon!
I have the 8 switch vospod! Love it... good choice
I was just looking at these! Very timely video Matt!
Do you know if there are still available for sale somewhere. Can't find the one he has in the video anywhere. Thanks
I just ordered and bought my first ever Jeep. A 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. So far I totally love it! I bought my Rubicon with the 4 aux switched from the factory but they are not enough so I am going to have to look into getting one of these for my Rubicon. Thank you for the video! I’m now a new subscriber to the channel.
I love the field of vision comment with that huge crack across the glass.
It's a neverending battle
@@bleepinjeep Lite-Brite has a window for it on one of their videos
That's so bad ass . Been looking into getting one of these. Great video again Matt , thank you for sharing.
Gotta love these great cheaper options! Between this or the homebrew option I can actually set something up. Instead of longingly staring at the expensive stuff lol
Thanks for the video. Installing a ARB compressor for front and rear lockers and now looking for auxiliary switch options .
Thank you for this video! Just ordered one for my 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland.
I was just looking a an sPOD too! Very timely video. Thanks!
Very similiar to the flexible, programmable "sticky" pad product that went out of business in '13/'14. Except their product was just the switch pad and not the entire kit iirc.
Programmable switches is a slick idea that's got the "cool factor" but can also be very useful.
Not a bad price either, especially considering it's a complete plug and play kit.
Thanks Matt. I wouldn't have known about this if you hadn't done the install.👍
I tried out the rough country one. It's been going great for me so far.
Thank you so much. I bought that same kit for my JK, I haven't installed it yet. I didn't have the option to change it to a JK so I bought the JL kit. Made a few adjustments on the mount
I was wondering if this would work properly on a JK. Thought about buying one for my JK
I installed one these bad boys in my JK about 3 months and I've gone Jeepin in mud, rivers and lots of snow and its held up very well! Its nice not using those little red light switches cause after 6 pairs of lights it begins to get messy. For me, it was a very wise investment and parts are good quality.
Nice to see an alternative to the sPOD. Thanks for all the great videos
I'm sure the spod is great quality but man its soo expensive!
BleepinJeep I concur
Great video thank you. Just ordered mine but will install through firewall to the a pillar and mount to my CMM ball mount. 👍🏽
Thanks for the video Matt !
My new favorite channel. February 13th 2020.
Love it. It would look great in my Jeep. Thanks for all the great content and cool gadgets.
Clean look and interesting mounting location in the JL!
This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Great video. I buy my electrical connections in bulk, as I put things back together in the wrong order all the time.
You the man! Nice, clean install.
We installed one in our JL today. Couldn’t be easier. Thanks.
I’m still running stock lighting on everything on the XJ. Looking to start upgrading and would love to have this!
Engine compartment is SO CLEAN!
Would be a nice addition to the parts I’ve been stockpiling while trying to find a proper jeep to build.
This is pretty cool relay kit. Would be good for my Tacoma. Love the channel. Looking for another 79 bronco like I had in college. Could work for that as well.
JUST ORDERED FOR MY GLADIATOR, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
Matt, you are truly the Mister Rogers of Jeeps. That is in no way an insult, as Mister Rogers showed me the world as a child, you're showing me everything Jeep as an adult:)
Can’t wait to see how it holds up... may be on my short list if it is reliable
Seems like that is the key. Every one of these I see has issues in the reviews over time. Some sooner than others.
That looks like the JL version of the Appolotech, I have it for the JK and absolutely love it.
This would be perfect for my zj! Just what I need for my accessories
Definitely wanting to get one for my tj since seeing this vid earlier this year.
Good looking install!
I like the strobe n flash features
Nice unit. I’ll be getting one for the LJ.
Love seeing your videos in my feed
Thanks!
This would be real nice on my ZJ build. Keep up the good work.
Would solve my switch situation! Thanks for the chance!
Very helpful video. Thanks!
Installed one of their 6 rocker kits in out F550 Type 6 fire truck to control all the scene lights and emergency lights.... Great product and happy with it so far. and was on $160 for the basic over the mirror 6 rocker kit.
Not sure if they have it for the JL but they also have a Pillar POD using the button panel seen in this video.
This is the exact one I'll be getting. I was wondering if there was a review of it. Thanks
I have been an avid Squatcher my whole life. That new JL in panel unit would help me find one for sure!!! 😁🤪
This guy is the Mr. Rogers of overlanding.
Excellent content
Awsome videos 👍🏼👍🏼 Keep'em coming.
Need this for my e lockers 🤘👌
Very cool. Keep up the great videos
I think I need one of these ASAP!
Nice switch
You should set up in and out for your winch in the cab on the momentary setting! Enjoyed the video as always.
That would be pretty cool
Man that looks pretty sweet.
Great video thanks
Great job, Matt.
Don't you sleep, Matt?
as a note: you can run the wire in through a smaller hole in the plastic if you route the wire through before you crimp it to the fuse holder and terminal. you should finish by sealing each hole with RTV or some similar sealant to keep water out of your fuse panel and relay box.
can not say I care much for the strobe effects, but I may have to look into the universal version for my Tacoma. sPods are seriously over price for being an over glorified fuse box and switch bank
This would be perfect for my XJ or Crosstrek! 🤞🏼
Love it. Would look great in my rig.
The ball and socket mounts are "RAM MOUNTS", you can find all kinds of accessories on Amazon to extend the mounts out farther. I use these on my UTV to mount Go Pro's, and on my motorcycle for my phone mount (just like you have) and GPS mount. I love them.
Knock off RAM mounts
Great videos thank you
Need this for my xj. Good luck everyone
Great video!
I still have my old repurposed OEM relay center in my XJ for all my aftermarket gear. If I had it to do over I would definitely just buy something like this. Much easier.
This will be sweet in my crawler.
Hey Matt, very cool. Am building a full size Bronco, or just put it in my 1st Generation 4runner! Hope it would fit it!
Thanks!
great video.
Would love one for my custom dash setup in my ZJ with an 8" tablet/ radio delete, hidden CB and VHF radios, etc!
Great review. Thumbs up 4 sure.
Would definitely appreciate one of these once I finally get some lights on my JK. Lol
Very nice!
After pulling those plugs and putting the wire through you should rtv the hole to seal it. Those are there to help water sealant.
That would be really cool in my old Cj
Neat solution. Prefer doing my own switchplates with vandals and a relay box, but if I wanted an easier answer, that would be a sweet setup.
It was a pretty simple plug and play install.
And another great video :D
@8:24 when you crimped your wire, I heard your knuckles crack, LOL happens every time to me!
I could definitely use one of these for my JK
Instills great confidence 30 seconds in...lol...great vid
Would love to have one for my Jeep
Want one of these for my JKU!!!
Sweeeeeettttt! Definitely getting one.
I want one of those! But it may be a bit fancy in my dirty YJ 🤣!
Thanks for the great video. Can the switches be placed in a place other than the top of the dash? Thanks!
I'll love to win one, great stuff
Hi first of all great video
Second I have suzuki samurai you think what you install will be good for the samurai?
This would be great for my 96 xj
Need one for my trail rig
great link to the switches LOL
Entering the give away. I could really use one for my Jeep!
Yo Cameron, you won! get ahold of me somehow, FB, Insta, YT, email, website, etc.!
@@bleepinjeep Awesome!!! Reached out to you on Insta and facebook.
Nice
Chrisfix sent me here. And I'm a Jeep guy so win/win
Been looking at these units myself, wondering if a guy could use it for in cab winch controls. One switch for winch power and 2 set as momentary switches for winch in/out
May if you wanna move those further look at ram mounts they may have what you need to put another link in those
I have the voswitch panel and it has like 3 strobe settings while most videos I seen have 5 or 6
Cool.
Thats nifty, but Im old school. I like the Carling rocker switches better.
@@law1143 and half the price
this is the rocker switch version for Jeep JL , www.amazon.com/dp/B07XSZPXGZ it will be what you want.
I'm really old school, I like twisting wires together when I need the function activated
so i bought this and love it. im looking to get pod lights with two colors, white and amber. how would i make this work with the voswitch switch module? i know the pod lights come with their own clicky switch which you use to cycle thru the different modes?
I put a JK rocker switch set up in my XJ for about 120$, complete plug and play with a volt meter
Sounds interesting which one and where did you mount it?
i guess your came in perfect condition
when i got mine was defected and had to return it....
