A siege of Kreig would be over too fast. With the rate they churn out armies and material to support fronts across the entire galaxy, AAAAND how much the Imperium loves Krieg troops the chaos force would be smashed. Although it could be an epic novel about how wave after wave of Death Korp soldiers march forward, almost like Necrons with rifles leveled at the foe. As the waves fall the ones behind simply march over the corpses of the fallen in a display of determination badassness that Khornate berserkers would pause to admire it. Right before the Guardsmen, being led by the Death Korp Grenadiers, reach the front line of chaos, the chaos followers hear a different kind of thunder than that of inexorably marching boots grinding their fallen comrades into the blood soaked mud. Out from the flanks riding in front the Death Riders charge into the line, decimating cultists with their hunting lances before drawing their swords and laspistols. As the Death Riders start to get cut down by chaos bolter Fire from enemy astartes the front lines of Krieg arrive. One by one chaos marines slowly fall to the disciplined hellgun fire of the grenadiers. Khornate berserkers rush the enemy screaming bloody murder in the name of Khorne. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE, AND DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR! As they charge they quickly find themselves drowning in an ocean of Krieg blood, so deep it makes Khorne himself stop and giggle with glee. But no matter how many guardsmen fall, more advance, never ending tides of Krieg guardsmen and Grenadiers continue to pour over chaos, destroying all in their path. As the Berserkers start to fall they see the Golden light of the Emperor shining from over the horizon where still more guardsmen are marching forward. Suddenly, Battlefleet Bakka arrives from the Immateriam, bringing the Emperors Wrath to the Heretics. In a matter of hours the chaos fleet is smashed and vox communication is established with Krieg. Much to the Battlefleets surprise Krieg is winning, currently engaged in mopping up the last of the traitor forces. Within several days Krieg is free from the taint of chaos once more and the regiments who’s heroic defense saved their world request to be sent off to die for the Emperor. Never to return to the planet they saved, their debt to the Emperor, still unfulfilled. P.S Sorry for the long story lol, I was writing my initial comment and then I started thinking about specifics and I couldn’t help myself. Hope you enjoyed if you read this, and as always. The Emperor, protects.
When I actually play the game again I'll make the most formidable imperial army: death corps with space marine support specific to each situation; raven guard for assassinations, imperial fisty boys or defence, white scars for tactical missions, and grey nights to deal with deamons. The ultimate battle group with an unsealing core of badass soldiers.
This is all the guardsmen units summed up in three sentences. "See those Chaos Marines? Well I don't want to. (Sending millions of Guardsmen at the threat)Ahh, that's better.
Never forget the men and women of the Generian 99th. No greatness in their victories, no glory in their defeats, and they had Nubby Nubbs, but no matter what, they held that Emperor-damned line.
I always found the Guard way more interesting and relatable than the overpowered tin cans, they're basically Starship Troopers with religious overtones.

What about Colonel Ironhand Straken? The dude lost his arm/right half of his chest to a landshark and DIDN'T scream as he didn't want to give away his men's positions. That leads to another fun fact, Catachans actual care about causalities. They'll kill men infected with a parasite on Catachan not due to the risk of it spreading, but so the infected won't suffer. If a tribe on Catachan meets another tribe, they won't fight because other humans are the only things in Catachan that don't naturally want to kill you. Also, Commissars attached to Catachan regiments have a tendency to be highly, accident prone...
-Reporting for duty sir!! -Sir yes sir!! -We will show these filthy aliens what imperial guard are made of!!! -Fix Bayonets!!!! -For the glory of the imperioum!
“Why does everyone forget about Tallarn? They’ve done some good shit and then their model line gets removed because no one wanted to buy anything that wasn’t Starship Troopers or guys in power armor.” -A very pissed off imperial leader being disgusted with both the average citizens ignorance and what the Imperium of Man has become.

Or those people know that the numbers are being blatantly lied about and manipulated just like a certain tribe did with their death numbers in ww2 and have seen it happen with people they actually know such as my friends dad who died last week of a heart attack he had in front of his daughter then with no autopsy he was marked as a covid death or my aunties 2 friends who went for testing but was taking so long they left without being tested then got told they had covid, or a girl I know who swabbed a peach for a laugh which guess what tested positive but sure feel free to live in fear from a bulshit flu that is being completely lied about and used as a power grab.
@@murderousmayhem6362 Testing stats may be BS but it is out there. I've known 2 people who were perfectly fine and healthy then caught covid. Both are dead now. One was 42 the other 37. Both had the flu numerous times in their lives but were never hospitalized or put on a respirator because of it. Just because no one you know has been affected doesn't mean it doesn't exist or it's just a bad case of the flu.
The Astra Militarum, the Flashlights. The WALL OF GUNS who always die standing for the Imperium.
The guys from Predator... I mean the Catachans are the best!
I honestly do not regret subscribing. Keep up the good work!
I’m looking forward to the seriously messed up stuff.
Valhallan Ice Warriors reporting with his most Distinguished Imperial Hero, COMMISSAR FETHING CAIN!
One day I hope to collect a 597th Valhallan army that perfectly portrays the regiment of the HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!
But today is not that day...
I like the valpone bluebloods too, but my favorite are the Vitrinen dragons, their armor gives them invisibility and cannot be destroyed by laser or normal weapons. They are using high Energie Laser rifles
Honestly, Catachan (except Sly Marbo) are my least favorite. It's a shame you didn't include the Vostroyan Firstborn, the coolest ones.
Cadia Stands, Mordia Obeys, Krieg Sacrifices.
Reference for the art at 1:05 pleaseeeeeeee, I need that in my life.
Bro I love that you got gaunts ghosts in there. Tanith first and only. Hell yeah. Great book series
I'm 10 seconds in and i can just hear screaming ahhhhhhhh's

Any complaints, you can file it with the Departmento Munitorum. We can discuss it once the paperwork is finished.
I want a siege of krieg, that would be so much fun.
@@Mornathel THAT. IS JUST TOO. FUCKING. AWESOME.
Julian Gardisky Glad you enjoyed
So when are writing the book
HardCaseLJ 111 lol is that a serious question?
Your channel is so good
No.1 Guardsmen Regiment:
Australians
That’s technically an insult to Australians
When I actually play the game again I'll make the most formidable imperial army: death corps with space marine support specific to each situation; raven guard for assassinations, imperial fisty boys or defence, white scars for tactical missions, and grey nights to deal with deamons. The ultimate battle group with an unsealing core of badass soldiers.

I fucking love the mordian iron guard. "Yes we walk into heavy bolter fire with dress uniforms."
Don’t mean to be that annoying person, but this is the earliest I have ever been!
Me-working on a death korps grenadier costume, hears you mention the krieg-
Wait! *HAPPY GAS MASK NOISES*
Description:
"Guardsmen in warhammer 40k are often overrated"
Uh don't u mean underrated???????
Lol
Gotta say, you really made my day with this video mate
Thanks for that
If catachan's are australians how are kiwis represented in 40k?
One of the other unremembered planets in the Cadian System ;)😂
Poxwalkers.
Krieg and Vostroyans are my favorites , Cadians are like the stormtroopers of 40k at this point...they are everywhere...and they die everywhere...
Did you mean Guardman are often UNDERRATED, with Astartes outshining them.
In the description?
Also great vid as always!
This is all the guardsmen units summed up in three sentences. "See those Chaos Marines? Well I don't want to. (Sending millions of Guardsmen at the threat)Ahh, that's better.
That balls so heavy they have to drag them across the ground with them had me dieing 😂😂😂
9:46 Ah, the space aussies. I wonder when he's gonna ref..
9:50 did not disappoint.
10:07 Ok, we get it.
Hey man big fan, any chance you could do a “how the warhammer races would respond to Coronavirus” video? Could be a lot of fun for a skit/lore video.
Why is it that every time people go on about the guard they always seem to forget the Dirty Dozen of 40k, the 13th Penal Legion
Bro, I was sooo Happy to find Gaunt n dem Tanith Boiz in your list of top 5 Guardsmen!
And I agree, a huge fan of Dan Abnett's works, and definitely hoping for GW to maybe update tabletop with some Tanith, Vitrians, Blood Pact, Sabbat etc. If at all possible, I'd want them on my diorama.
Sorry, Tanith Boiz n Girls too. Got plenty of girls in Gaunt's regiment too.
>Mentions Sly Marbo
Time to see the Sly Marbo video again.
Great video btw, always good to see more love for the Astra Militarum
5- Generic Redshirts.

Very funny

The steel legion are one of my one of my favorite regiments
Mechanized warfare is fucking cool

"I want a space marine inside me" . Sounds like my nephew who runs blood angels lol
Nobody:
The Krieg: YOU TAKE HERESY THAT BACK BEFORE I MAKE THE SOMME LOOK LIKE A JOKE
after nearly 40 years we still don't have plastic kits for anybody but Cadia (don't talk to me about the catachans, that sprue is old as dirt)

-Sir yes sir!!
-We will show these filthy aliens what imperial guard are made of!!!
-Fix Bayonets!!!!
-For the glory of the imperioum!
“Why does everyone forget about Tallarn? They’ve done some good shit and then their model line gets removed because no one wanted to buy anything that wasn’t Starship Troopers or guys in power armor.”
-A very pissed off imperial leader being disgusted with both the average citizens ignorance and what the Imperium of Man has become.
Khorne warms sly Marbo’s throne
Sly Marbo makes the Eye of Terror cry demons
My favourite Commissar is Ciaphas Cain it's a shame they never made a model of him
I could just see telling a commissar of the imperial guard that the eye is leaking bad vibes and lots of demons. One ticket to a black ship or firing squad for me please commissar..
