Ok I get that we haven't seen much from them because they have no personality, but having a lucifer black as the secondary strait man character to a Ciaphas Cain type. A sort of "what are you willing to lose on the path of power" type story, ending all bittersweet and whatnot.

They sound almost like gene troopers, it is a concept seen in 1. with BattleTech with the Clans with those who are vat-grown, being sired in some cases from multiple genetic templates of the most elite veterans then being brought up in a Spartan lifestyle they might also further augment themselves with neural implants to increase reaction time, but the Claners being who they are well you guess how things went 2. then we have the Star Wars Null & Alpha class ARC Clone Trooper secret batches that had gene mod alterations that made them perfect candidates for the Phase Zero Dark Troopers, super soldier cyborgs, while still retaining their Mandalorian mindset & discipline, now while not many of the Fett clones remained the Empire following the Kamino Rebellion & the End of the cloning programs, they did keep on experimenting with DNA templates from human recruits who showed near perfect scores in the Clone Tropper training program, ARC & Commando programs as well, well those who survived, even if they were female humans, Legends wise the Stormtrooper core only allowed male humans till the Fell Empire age, the process would involve these individuals would have undergone genetic augmentations to be injected with what we could only describe as a Gene seed, be it from remaining Fett templates from other clone veterans or other Mandalorians & cybernetic augmentation similar in quality to the likes if General Grievous but not to that extent, or the soldier could vat grown with all the above, the only reason the project did not carry on was first Palpatine was dumb with super weapons, 2. many Moffs were just as dumb, 3 D.Vader while finding promise in the project was removed because of the first 2 reasons,
Sounds like they would make a good retinue for an inquisitor, that would probably be a sick story since inquisition type books tend to have the best storyline, they would just add even more epic battle shit to it.
Hey have you thought of making a video about a 40k TV Series? Also a video on the PDF and all the "different" types would be cool there isn't alot out there
About Scions, that are same thing about Auxiliary and Black lucifers Literally an elite army and very elite spec-ops but ONLY few of them in the Imperium, so... Tempestus scions are very cool, especially their armor, so they deserve respect And they(scions)don't really have enough books... I hope for now SOOOOOO, in the end of your video Lucifers became just tempestus scions with worse training and experience but better equipment, so it's fair to say that they are on par
I think halo proves a protagonist that doesn't speak much could still work in a similar setting. Just gotta be kinda niche. Would love to see a novel focused on a lucifer that has the 'luck' stat master chief does and ends up saving humanity in one way or another.
Seems like the kinda plot device characters that writers use to show how badass a particular character or faction is, like when they has Harlequins kill Custodes to show how badass they are.
You should do a video about all the bad ass first captains during the Horus Heresy MajorKill! If you don’t Jago Sevatarion may pay you a visit this Halloween
Majorkill is Australian Jesus at this point, I was so bummed I wasn’t able to get a calendar before they went offline. But then this absolute chad pulls a miracle and I bought one right away. So happy to support a channel that helped me fall in love with 40k.
Apparently Harlequins never killed custodes. The author of that story confused the Custodes with the mortal, human guards of the exterior palace. The Custodes guard the inner imperial palace.
Would love to see them be more mainstream in the current setting. It would be cool to see them as a splinter faction that are just straight forward people who just want to get things done, not caring about religion but seeking all they can get there hands on to deal with serious issues. It would be fun to see an Eldar interact with one and just be weirded out at this human who barley cares that they are working with an alien.
I foresee a group consisting of a couple Custodes, half a dozen Sisters of Silence, and a couple dozen Lucifer Blacks. Call them Guilliman's Godslayers.
In my defence I wrote this before I saw the video... That fight between Grammaticus and the Lucifer Black in Legion is amazing. it comes across as a really desperate fight on Grammaticus' part. and their leader, Dinas Chayne, took Alpharius on in single combat and managed to make the primarch take a step BACK while defending himself. He then manages to drive his sword into the side of Alpharius, right up to the hilt. Chayne couldn't pull it back out. Alpharius looks down at the sword, looks at Chayne and says "that's all you get" before splitting Chayne in two down the middle. Awesome.
Now we NEED a book from their POV. "I entered the room. Immediate survey showed 47 cultists, a spawn, and a thousand captives. I detonated the charges over that section of ceiling and eliminated them all. Then I moved on."
What do you mean a novel about them would be boring. Look at the Death Korps of Krieg, they have the same personality as them and they are entertaining to read about.
I don't know who came up with the name "Lucifer Blacks" but god damn that is badass.

They sound almost like gene troopers, it is a concept seen in
1. with BattleTech with the Clans with those who are vat-grown, being sired in some cases from multiple genetic templates of the most elite veterans then being brought up in a Spartan lifestyle they might also further augment themselves with neural implants to increase reaction time, but the Claners being who they are well you guess how things went
2. then we have the Star Wars Null & Alpha class ARC Clone Trooper secret batches that had gene mod alterations that made them perfect candidates for the Phase Zero Dark Troopers, super soldier cyborgs, while still retaining their Mandalorian mindset & discipline, now while not many of the Fett clones remained the Empire following the Kamino Rebellion & the End of the cloning programs, they did keep on experimenting with DNA templates from human recruits who showed near perfect scores in the Clone Tropper training program, ARC & Commando programs as well, well those who survived, even if they were female humans, Legends wise the Stormtrooper core only allowed male humans till the Fell Empire age, the process would involve these individuals would have undergone genetic augmentations to be injected with what we could only describe as a Gene seed, be it from remaining Fett templates from other clone veterans or other Mandalorians & cybernetic augmentation similar in quality to the likes if General Grievous but not to that extent, or the soldier could vat grown with all the above, the only reason the project did not carry on was first Palpatine was dumb with super weapons, 2. many Moffs were just as dumb, 3 D.Vader while finding promise in the project was removed because of the first 2 reasons,
The lucifers look what peak imperium could have become. Superhumans in high tech armour.
Sounds like they would make a good retinue for an inquisitor, that would probably be a sick story since inquisition type books tend to have the best storyline, they would just add even more epic battle shit to it.
finally a video on these guys, you even beat luetin to the punch
I LOVE wolfdawgart's work. Im so happy to see his stuff pop up in videos
Hey have you thought of making a video about a 40k TV Series?
Also a video on the PDF and all the "different" types would be cool there isn't alot out there
I want a Souls-type game where everytime you die you play a new Lucifer Black
Game Workshop: "Sure, but who wants those when you could have more GENESTEALER CULTS!"
About Scions, that are same thing about Auxiliary and Black lucifers
Literally an elite army and very elite spec-ops but ONLY few of them in the Imperium, so...
Tempestus scions are very cool, especially their armor, so they deserve respect
And they(scions)don't really have enough books...
I hope for now
SOOOOOO, in the end of your video Lucifers became just tempestus scions with worse training and experience but better equipment, so it's fair to say that they are on par
I think halo proves a protagonist that doesn't speak much could still work in a similar setting. Just gotta be kinda niche. Would love to see a novel focused on a lucifer that has the 'luck' stat master chief does and ends up saving humanity in one way or another.
I should've waited until today to order my calendar. I've got mine and I love it
Seems like the kinda plot device characters that writers use to show how badass a particular character or faction is, like when they has Harlequins kill Custodes to show how badass they are.
I like to think that the Lucifer Blacks would function like Goblin Slayer: blunt, practical and unfunny to a T.
Apparently Harlequins never killed custodes. The author of that story confused the Custodes with the mortal, human guards of the exterior palace. The Custodes guard the inner imperial palace.
What a coincidence!
I'm reading the LEGION right now:)
Now I think about it more, they're litteraly just more special and unique death Corp
You should talk about the solar auxilaria and compare it to the guard in the 40k
I foresee a group consisting of a couple Custodes, half a dozen Sisters of Silence, and a couple dozen Lucifer Blacks.
Call them Guilliman's Godslayers.
Always loved the Lucifer blacks. I found them really interesting and pretty scary.
Awesome.
GW: we can’t have a strong Guardsmen unit in the tabletop then nobody would buy our hoard units
Soon as he mentioned that primarch firght my brain took a shit, fuckin love 40k power scaling
This is the most "woah shit I didn't know about this and how's that possible" video you ever made
Now we NEED a book from their POV.
"I entered the room. Immediate survey showed 47 cultists, a spawn, and a thousand captives. I detonated the charges over that section of ceiling and eliminated them all. Then I moved on."
He did get a hit in on a primarch (Alpharius), but then he was told, "That's all you get." and was split in half.
The Lucifer Black”Oh….wait!”
What do you mean a novel about them would be boring. Look at the Death Korps of Krieg, they have the same personality as them and they are entertaining to read about.
