Sadly you are right Alex. Here in the U.S. carp, for the most part are considered trash fish which is so sad and unjust. They are beautiful fish that deserve the same respect and admiration as the so called "game" fish. Hopefully with the help of your great videos such as this and your channel in general will help to change attitudes towards this truly magnificent fish.
In Europe, rainbow perches and catfishes are considered harmful to the environment. In France you are not allowed to release these two species back into the water and can get fined if the guard sees you. But carps no, lots of people like fishing them. :)

Thanks for the more in depth explanation of that trip, I have watched your US videos especially the Dale Hollow piece so many times that when the song " When lies become truth" is playing all i see in mind is the tail lights of car in front of you guys on your way down there LOL. Whenever this pandemic is over, you guys HAVE to come back and fish in Lake Fork in Texas, many 40lbs and up Carp & Buffalo and no one is fishing for them. Please keep your fantastic videos coming!

i live in America and you see carp, Buffalo, koi, on the bank its pretty sad
