Can't please some people on here, Carl. I don't understand why they bother commenting if they don't like the type of fishing you do. I bet 90%+ of your viewers would give anything to go where you go to catch a fish of a lifetime. I know if I ever got the chance, I would be there in an instant. Keep doing what you love Carl and take no notice of the naysayers. Content is great, and I will be viewing your stuff until you stop producing it and even beyond that. I know it's each to their own, but I think you have tackled a multitude of different types of fishing, which caters to most anglers, im sure.Tight lines Carl and keep it coming.

I love and appreciate all ways of fishing! Fishing in a place like this is a chance to catch fish that are so hard to catch in the wild in far flung places, and the expense involved to do so makes it even harder. I'm glad fisheries like this enable people to have a chance at catching these exotic species. Cheers John :) appreciate your comment.

I think the last video I saw of this place was from the late, great John Wilson (RIP.). There are some real _dinosaurs_ swimming in that lake.
A great video and what a stunning location too. Great fishing and Thai food. Could it get any better? Can it compare to a small pond or river in Mid-Sussex? Where I grew up, fished and left some 40 years ago?
But you left us hanging on as to whether you'd get your Arapaima. And you did. At last knockings too. The best time to catch what you wanted to catch. So congrats for that 8-))...
However. How big was the Arapaima? You didn't say! It must surely have been over the 100lb mark. Or very close to it. 8-\\...

From a Thai person her. If you come to Thailand dont eat at restaurant inside shopping malls or fancy restaurants it’s a waste. Go buy the street foods that grandma or grandpa that has been doing it everyday for the last decades. I swear you will be hooked

Hi Carl, how are you doing?
You should come to Brazil for some fishing. There is a place called Rio quente resorts. There is a hot water river a lot of swimming pools, a lot of fun things to do. The Hotels have good food as much as you can eat lots of fruits. And a big lake, where you can fish some of the biggest and best fish of the world.
Congratulations for your videos, they're amazing. Greetings from Brazil

Yeah it's true :) I can find lots of people and busy places stressful sometimes. I need a lot of time to recharge as it can take a lot out of me. I am definitely more energised when speaking about/ doing something I love though in these situations. Glad to be going outside my comfort zone more these days, and trying new things. Much less fear. Thanks for the support mate, all the best to you :) take care!

Man what an amazing video, me and my family went to the same place only a few weeks ago and on the last day we chose swim 1 and we casted in the exact same spot as you did, plus we baited it the same exact way and everything. The first arapaima was at 1 pm just dumb luck, second was at 2 pm again just dumb luck, and the third was 5 minutes before we had to reel in plus the bait was no joke touching the side of the landing area, I have it all on film and this video is helping me understand editing and such with this kind of content, this helps me a lot more than you could know so thank you and amazing work!

Smashed it mate! I have to admit watching you play that arapaima in the very last moments of your trip my heart was in my mouth. I know they are known come off the hook very easily due to the way they feed and the hook often ending up on the outside of their mouth rather than inside. Its rarely angler or falty tackle that causes it its just the way they feed that results in something like a 60% loss rate. Thank god you landed it mate i was so nervous for you but it made for superb filming. Congrats dude another awesome fishing video. I hope you do go to the Amazon one day in hunt for these incredible fish, could that be possibly something in line for you and Mr Wade?
