- Indigo has announced an order for up to 100 Airbus A350s to enhance its business, introduce widebodies, and reach new cities. Meanwhile, Etihad Airways will begin flying its Airbus A380 to Paris Charles de Gaulle as part of capacity ramp-up plans for the French city. Lastly, Finnair has posted a larger than expected loss for Q1 amid strike action in Finland, high costs, inflation, and global conflict.

A380 and A350 are just marvels of the sky, the most beautiful and comfortable airplanes in the World
Especially the A380
The Airbus 340 too
@@Cta2006 fax
Hope they bring the A380 back to Sydney
The Airbus A380 is my favorite plane.
Yeah, smooth take off, flight and landing like nothing else...
Very happy with latest Indigo's order of 30, A 350 Aircrafts 🛫🇮🇳✔️
Its crazy how airlines said "the A380 is dead" now airlines, except a few, are desperate to get it back in seevice.
Until next year it may change again because the 777x is for sure confirmed to be certified next year still
Now if you can only convince airlines and lessors to stop scrapping them ;
You may be on to something !!
@@nickolliver3021 The aircraft demand grows quicker than how fast Boing can build B777X. Unless there is another disaster like the pandemic.
Unitl airframers and other OEM's can get over supply isses that's the route growth
@@alicelund147 boeing have already built the 777x. Many of them are stored. Why would there be another disaster like tbe pandemic
Great to see the A380 regaining momentum
I use an app when booking flights that allows me to stay completely off Boeing aircraft. The personal and obscene greed of the Board of Directors has destroyed a once wonderful company. There’s no way I’m getting on a Boeing.
Your loss
@@stevesmoneypit6137 My life. Boeings loss, and any airline that buys them.
womp womp
What you said doesn't fit in this video.
Well IndiGo Airlines may have taken cues from the experience of French budget airline French Bee as they operate 10 A350-1000s
10 Wide seating will be interesting as their economy layout.
Great content, dj.
Great video Dj! Thank You!
Good On The A350 And Airbus Great Video And Info
Thanks dj!!
Fantastic news for the most beautiful passenger airplane and for Airbus👏👏👏
When Finnair flies to Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing they've to use an extra 3/4 hours of fuel to avoid Russian airspace and that has got to hurt financially.
Isn't the Trent XWB the only engine option for the A350-900?
Yes.....
I see a problem 🤔 RR not available on 350-9
@@stevesmoneypit6137 They're not expecting their first aircraft until 2027. I'm sure they'll be fine.
Hey can you do a little segment in your next vid talking about beregional its basically Flybe 3.0
More and more purchases of Airbus is only making sure that Boeing is having a mental existential crisis right now and they should after all that has happened.
Bring the ethihad a380 to miami we got the best sea cruise
IndiGo could do with a full service subsidiary exclusively for full service international long haul flights . . .
yaay
More and more airlines lean to Airbus even for the widebody segment. The A350 is putting more pressure on Boeing. The B787-10 can't compete with the Airbus A350-900 due to a shorter range. Even the A350-1000 has found its market. Except for the Gulf region airlines...
I wish Boeing would get it's act together. The 777-9 is the near direct replacement to the 747 (passenger wise) and would be a good option for those who need the capacity. But Boeing management is trying to get put money over proper development.
Qatar Airways is the biggest A350-1000 operator
@@thisiskevin1000 indeed. But Emirates does not want it yet. Because of delicate RR engines...
@@Chrisp707-they are getting their act together. With this action now being put into place they should not be putting money over product development etc
How is this order down to "customers leaning towards airbus"? The a350 is getting the same orders as would the 787 would be getting. The only reason is range being slightly more than 787-10 despite a new 787-9/10HGW variant
Can guarantee that IndiGo will only use the A350s from DEL/BOM to other destinations.... They'll ignore BLR, HYD, COK, CCU etc
they actually won't interestingly
So while the A380 may not be the most efficient, there is little alternative to having the world’s largest plane in your fleet when faced with overwhelming passenger numbers. Perhaps the A380 was ahead of the curve when it entered service but as time rolls by and passenger numbers balloon it may again become a much needed aircraft.
Wonder if Qatar, who are still saying the a380 has no place in their fleet, will change their mind as well - although they seem content to lose First Class completely and I suspect are already refurbishing their Doha First Class Lounge into an extension of the Business Class Lounge next door. Any thoughts?
The new CEO said that they will have First class on the 777x and wants other aircraft to feature first class
With Indigos A350 & earlier order of Air India A350, very soon Bharat (India) will be largest buyer of A350s.
6:14 Disagree with your comment due to the fact that it's the A350 1000 that the A380 is replacing...
Delta
Etihad was right when they said it didn’t belong in their fleet. Will RR still be making engines in 2027 for Indigo?
More chagrin at boeing. Are they already lawyering up?
Everyone wants the super A350.
😊
I remember predicting way back when airlines were divesting themselves of, or furloughing their A380s as the pandemic took hold, that they would find they needed the A380 as the world started to emerge from lockdowns & would have to re-energise them. I can't see them being dispensed with them now until at least 2030 after the money invested in refurbishing their interiors is won back. As for the new B-777, I think Boeing will have a hard time selling it as their safety reputation has been seriously damaged & will take years before airlines can trust a Boeing product again, but I may be wrong. We shall see the trend within the next 2 years.
Etihad Will NOT bring A380 back to Mumbai ever, unlike Emirates!
Indigo is yet to make a profit how it can it afford the aircraft it has on order ?
Indigo became the 3rd most valuable airline in the world this month

More old news nothing new
Finnair lost money despite not having any Boeings in its fleet?
Regardless the subject of the video, somehow it always turns into a Boeing commercial,. 2 thumbs down
The A380 $50B loss to airbus, $50B loss to those who owns them... where as the 737 never lost money
Both Boeing and United just recorded a loss due to the 737 for Q1?
