I agree. I’m a former brainwashed Calvinist and eventually found James Jacob Prasch who helped me get away from that nonsense. Then recently I found Dr Woods and have never heard of free grace. It has been encouraging to say the least! However, as an admitted newbie to this doctrine and fairly new to scripture also, my discernment might still be a little shaky. Which leads to the point I’m trying to make and get some help on: I recently by coincidence (or not hehe) I found many critiques from Prasch regarding Andy’s theology which Prasch claims to be a false one that Andy reaches. Do you have any insights you might be able to share?
The trend towards CT is due to the internet. Calvinists dominate. Plus, dispensational eschatology is tough for lazy Pastors and academia shuns fundamentalism and literalism.

Pastor Andy Woods is phenomenal! At minute 25:17 he explains why the average person gravitates towards Dispensationalism because it's easy to understand. All you need is reading comprehension! I mean, why would God make the Bible complicated? Man makes it complicated. Yet, with Replacement Theology, it's complicated and hard to understand. Most Christians coming out of seminary now (professors/students) are the ones gravitating towards replacement theology because it's coming from academic scholasticism. Which explains why John MacArthur told Ben Shapiro on his show on this same topic, you have to go to university to mess it up! This also explains why a lot of these Bible teachers on RUclips that promote Replacement Theology (Voddie Baucham) speak in a philosophical manner. Like the Catholic priests would speak to the lowly peasants during the Middle Ages, because after all, THEY wouldn't understand the Bible anyway if they read it for themselves. Great video!
@jesuschristisyhwh Well the reason Peter said that about Paul is because Peter was talking to practicing Jews. Paul was teaching circumcision was now unnecessary for salvation and practicing Jews couldn’t wrap their heads around that. It’s why they had such a difficult time accepting who Jesus was because they were so legalistic. Jesus sat with tax collectors & sinners. He seemed so welcoming to the people who were sinners. Jews didn’t do that. They couldn’t understand Paul’s teaching that following the Law didn’t save them. Jesus fulfilled the law. So this new doctrine that gives salvation to the ungodly and the unholy and the unrighteous -who believe in Christ and repent - This was the scandal of salvation thru grace. It scandalized their “works righteousness” system, which is what the Jews did. So grace was a foreign concept to them and they couldn’t understand it from Paul.
Excellent teachings about how exegetically derived teachings compare with those derived from a theological system. This difference is the challenge in today's Christian leadership.
I see in the comments that old canard that dispensationalism is a relatively recent development. So what was Jesus teaching, then, in Luke 24 when he said, "O, fools! And slow of heart to believe ALL that the Prophets had spoken. Ought not the Christ to have suffered, and [then] enter into his glory? And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he showed them the things therein concerning himself." Two lines of messianic prophecy: one where the Christ would rule forever, the other where he'd be "cut off and have nothing." Both couldn't happen at once, and one had to preceed the other. Dispensationalism rightly divides the word so everything doesn't happen at once. So let's be honest and give each word it's place in time, like God does in the Bible. "Every word of God is pure; he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
Covenantalism is something you have to convince yourself of _before_ diving into the Scripture. It's not an idea that can be exegeted from the biblical text, just like amillennialism and preterism. Even though I'm not a dispensationalist, I have respect for it because it's based on the historical-grammatical method and a plain reading the text, which is sorely lacking in many hermeneutical methods being used today. God bless Andy Woods for his scholarly defense of classical dispensationalism! We need more men like him in the academic and theological communities.
It’s unfortunate. Woods clearly approached this as a theological and intellectual discussion and displayed charity, the host just seems to want to mock his theological opponents.
It’s a more defensive position than mocking because they have been called terrible names and branded as idiots for taking the plain reading of all scriptures.

@@danielrutigliano7938 this is an ongoing debate, but seems to have its origins in the 1500's with the rise of calvinism. Most Christians reject this and hold to "synergism" with respect to salvation and view the doctrine of eternal security as heretical, instead teaching that one's salvation is not only conditional on one's continued faith, but ALSO good works, sanctification and the avoidance of sin. Most dispensationalists, a theology that arose in the mid 1800's and which is featured on this video do believe in "once saved always saved" theology.

So I know that my wife loves me, but I also respect her, and make sure that I treat her with love and respect so as to maintain that relationship. Our relationship with God is similar. We know God loves us, but we also know that if we turn our back on Him, we will not remain in a right relationship with Him. Know what I find actually funny? The explanation for OSAS individuals who later become Athiests or Reprobates - "well, it's clear they were never saved in the first place and never truly believed". What a bunch of obviously circular reasoning. Read Matthew 25:31-46. I've seen some pretty nutty evangelical explanations for how we are saved only by faith alone when trying to explain away those verses. There is most certainly a call to action in Matthew 25, with eternal salvation at stake. Once saved always saved, faith alone, a literal millenium, papal infallability, a pre-tribulation rapture, indulgences, etc., - most of these are ancient heresies that the Church dealt with in great detail before 500 AD. Most of these sprang up again after the great schism in 1095 AD in Catholicism and later when Luther nailed his 95 thesis to the door in Wittenberg in 1518 AD. The mystery of salvation is a duet, not a solo. It is a life-time engagement with God. It has ups and downs, twists and turns, with opportunities to grow in the love of God. Definitely not any reformed denominations like Lutherans or Presbytarians. This would also include (sadly, though it wasn't always like this) most of the Southern Baptists. Not Catholics/episcopalians either. Pentecostals are not dispensational in any way either. The only denominations that uphold dispensational views on the covenants, salvation, and the kingdom of God (like myself and teachers like Andy Woods) are many of the independent baptist churches and bible churches. A bible church can be reformed sometimes so you have to read their specific doctrinal statement to pick them out. You might also find non-denominational churches that are dispensationalistic but this is rarer. Your question is an important one because it is mostly only dispensationalistic churches or independent baptist churches that hold to faith alone, not of works and that you can be 100% sure you're going to heaven (Jn. 5:24).

Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ? (Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30) The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations? 1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Galatians 3:8) 2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ? 3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds? 4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh? 5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers? 6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"? 7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost? 8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.) 9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? 10. Watch the RUclips video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology. Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:
“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.” Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107. Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.” Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323. John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated… "...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.” John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.) What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16? Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth? Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups? It's not about whether you take the Bible literally or figuratively. Both camps believe they are taking things literally in their approach. The question is....does the Bible teach that physical Israel is still God's people or are God's people only those who believe in Christ? The issue is... who is the new covenant for? The issue is...was the "church" prophesied in the old testament? The issue is...are Jew and Gentile co-heirs to the promise or are they separate groups with separate promises?
@@PinoyMusicRevolution I think you miss the point. There is only one new covenant and it's for all. There is also one promise and it's for all. The land promise was an old covenant promise and was only a shadow and a type.
@@contemplate-Matt.G where did I miss it? I just said Both are in the Body. God is faithful in his promises. Israel is Israel. Even though they rejected God, God fulfilled and is going to fulfill His COVENANT with them ,144,000 from the Tribe of Judah in Great Tribulation. We're not part of God's Covenant with Israel. We cannot take what's for Israel. Still, they're the chosen. But we're graffed. And now saved, in the Body of Christ.
@@PinoyMusicRevolution I believed exactly that for 20 years. But really think about this for a moment... Start with the covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jer 31 31. It's the "new covenant" right? According to the plain language in the Old Testament, that new covenant is only for Israel and that new covenant should include their land promise. That is what dispensationalism teaches since this so-called "church age" is said to be something not prophesied. Now if the new covenant is solely for Israel, then it obviously hasn't happened yet. This means that the "church age" is NOT the new covenant age because it includes Gentiles and has nothing to do with land. New covenant teachings in the new testament should not be applied to Gentiles at all. But what if God planned all along to literally change the promises made to Israel? What if land and blessings in the land were not God's plan from the beginning? What if that promise, as I said earlier, was merely a type and a shadow of something even better? That would make perfect sense because the promise was directly tied to the "old covenant". Hebrews teaches us that the old covenant was dysfunctional. Part of the promise of the new covenant was that it would be nothing like the old one. Not only that, Hebrews tells us that the new covenant is "a better covenant built on better promises". Better promises? Isn't it saying that the promises made to Israel were not the ultimate goal? What could be better than a small piece of land where people still die?....ETERNAL LIFE! At the last supper, Jesus took the cup and said "this is my blood of the new covenant shed for many". Did Jesus shed His blood for Israel only or is that "new covenant blood" shed for all? You can't have it both ways. Either the new covenant was a total change in promises and recipients of the promises, OR we have nothing to do with the new covenant. In order for what I'm saying to be so, God would have had to hold a mystery in the old testament. This is EXACTLY what Pau explains in Ephesians. The "mystery" God revealed to Paul was that Jew and Gentile would become "co-heirs". But wait, I thought what was promised to Israel was only for them? No, Jew and Gentile have been made ONE because God removed the middle wall of partition. Not only that, he became "no respecter of persons" in this new covenant to which you and I are a part of. The "promise" not only became "better", it includes all nations. The old covenant promises is obsolete just like the laws that pertained to acquiring it. Did Jesus come to tell the Jews that they would get their old covenant promise? Hardly. "Therefore the kingdom WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOU and given to a nation that bears its fruit". Remember, Israel broke their covenant with God and became a harlot. God divorced them for marital unfaithfulness. But did God reject His people? Not according to Paul....God saved a "remnant" of them and they were the ones who believed in Jesus. "though the descendants of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved". The first-century Jewish Christians were that remnant.
I would add this little fact....Jesus said "I am the true vine". We are not grafted into Israel...we are grafted into Christ. Now Paul teaches that we can be cut from the vine just as Israel was and that if certain Jews believe in Christ, they can be grafted back in. Paul puts it his way..."if you are Christ's, THEN are you Abraham's seed and heirs according to THE promise. What promise? Paul just included Gentiles into "the" promise and made the contingency faith in Christ. This has nothing to do with ethnicity. Remember what the Baptist said to them... "do not say to yourselves we have Abraham as our father..."

That is the same argument every JW makes with the word Trinity so is the Trinity now not a biblical concept? "If you keep My laws" must never have crossed anyone's mind.
Disappointing to see these gentlemen using an argument that logically overturns their own doctrinal conviction of the Trinity (assuming they are Trinitarian). If we are going to critique others, we should do so honestly.
@@agustinvega8969 If I remember correctly, one of their arguments against Covenant Theology is the lack of explicit Scriptural references to the various covenants highlighted in covenant theology. If this were a logical reason to reject covenant theology, we would also have to reject the doctrine of the Trinity, because no where in Scripture is the Trinity directly given to us. This line of thought is not original to me.
@@djcl1538 Until you demonstrate that the Scriptures are only explicit about the times when God makes a covenant with man, you are simply begging the question.
The Bible titled one book is the Old Covenant and the other book is the New Covenant. How silly of believers to assume it is about the Covenant of God with men.
Both Dispensational Theology, and Reformed Covenant Theology fall apart in Galatians chapters 3, and 4. Read the book "Abraham's Four Seeds" by John G. Reisinger. Reformed Covenant Theology claims the 10 commandments were given to Adam in the garden. Paul said the law was "added" 430 years "after" the promise made to Abraham "until" the seed (Christ) could come to whom the promise was made. In Galatians 4 Paul compels the Galatian believers to "cast out" the Sinai Covenant of bondage. Both the Westminster Confession, and the 1689 LBCF claim we are still under the 4th commandment, by ignoring what Paul said in Colossians 2:16-17. Dispensationalists have replaced the one seed, with the many seeds in Galatians 3:16. They have replaced a Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles, by ignoring the fact that about 3,000 Israelites accepted the New Covenant on the Day of Pentecost. They have replaced the word "so", with the word "then" in Romans 11:26. They have replaced the one people of God in John 10:16, with Two Peoples of God. They have replaced the Church as the fulfillment of God's promises in Genesis 12:3, with the Church as being Plan B, or a "parenthesis" in God's plan for Israel. Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it. The modern Church has done a pitiful job of taking the Gospel to modern Orthodox Jews. John Hagee has even claimed that preaching the Gospel to Jews is a waste of time, because they are under a different covenant with God. Hagee's Dual Covenant Theology is one of the fruits of ignoring the New Covenant promised to Israel, and Judah, in Jeremiah 31:31-34. Hagee then has a habit of calling those opposed to his claims... "Anti-Semites". He needs to read Galatians 1:6-9.

Exactly, all people approach the Bible with assumptions. Pretribbers begin with the assumption that there will be a Pretrib rapture and then interpret the rest of the Bible according to that. They ignore the fact that the entire Bible is about ONE JEW, Jesus Christ and that ALL prophecy is fulfilled in HIM, the SEED of Abraham.
Eh? No, we take what Paul tells us in 1 Thess 4: 14-18 and 1 Cor 15:50-58 and Yeshua in John 14:1-3 and compare it to the 2nd advent passages and realize THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. Also we take all the passages of believers not being destined for wrath and understand the Body of Christ will not be around for the Tribulation. Also we take Daniel 9:24-27 and see that the last 7 years on the 490 prophecy is clock is FOR Israel, not the church, and that the church was never part of the other 483 years either. Maybe you should listen to Dr. Woods' The Rapture series and see what you are missing. He does an excellent job of showing how we got to the "theory" and answers all the objections..... well maybe except for those who just cross their arms and say, "I need to be punished!" as if they believe in a Christian purgatory and that Christ's sacrifice wasn't enough to get them into the Kingdom.
✝️ 👨👩👧👦 🇺🇸 - You obviously don’t follow Dr. Woods teachings. His whole ministry is based upon exactly what you said. He teaches this. I’m not following your pretribulation angle. The entire doctrine of the pretribulation Rapture is outlined in the ‘Upper Room Discourse’.
@@sigalsmadar4547 @@sigalsmadar4547 1) Just because every detail of Christ's coming is not mentioned in every passage, does not mean they are separate comings. For example, in Zechariah, Jesus' feet touch the Mount of Olives, but in Revelation, there is no mention of the Mount of Olives. According to your argument, then, these MUST be two separate comings, since there are differences. Even the Gospels have SIGNIFICANT differences. Does this mean there are four different Christs? Of course not! Pretribbers like to claim that in one coming Christ comes FOR His saints, while in another He comes WITH His saints. However, I Thessalonians contains BOTH. "...even so them also which sleep in Jesus, God will bring WITH Him...then those who are alive and survive will be caught up together with them..." Jesus comes WITH those who sleep in Him, and FOR those who are alive in Him. 2) The answer to this comment is in the comment itself. Believers are not destined for WRATH and so will not see TRIBULATION. Wrath and tribulation are not the same. God's wrath happens after the tribulation. It occurs on the Day of the Lord, which begins with the darkening of the sun, moon and stars. This darkening of the heavenly bodies happens "after the tribulation of those days." Believers are not appointed to wrath, but they are appointed to tribulation. And tribulation is NOT punishment. The purpose of tribulation is for the maturing of the saints, and the perfecting of our faith. The New Testament is FULL of passages stating that tribulation is the NORMAL lot for the believer. We are told that God chastises those He loves and those who are not chastised are not true sons. James tells us to consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds, knowing that the testing of our faith develops perseverance and perseverance must complete its work so that we may be matured, lacking nothing, in order to be an effective witness (a word that is associated with martyrdom). Paul himself longed to fill up in his flesh the sufferings of Christ, becoming like Him in His death, in order that he might attain the better resurrection. The tribulation is not for punishment, but for the perfecting of the saints, making the Bride ready for His coming. Pretribbers seem to thing that they are the church of Philadelphia, forgetting that the church at Laodicea is as much a part of the Church as the others. The so-called, Church Age, then, does not end with Philadelphia, but with Laodicea. And even now we see the evidence of an effective, lukewarm church, who believes it has no need of anything because Jesus has "done it all." Yes, we are saved by grace through faith, but that is only the beginning. God longs to mature HIs people, and HE does this through suffering, persecution, and tribulation. 3) It is a major ASSUMPTION that Daniel's Seventieth Week is synonymous with a seven year tribulation. There is no seven year tribulation taught anywhere in Scripture. Nor is there any reason for God to remove His Church prior to His dealings with Israel. He is perfectly capable of dealing with BOTH at the same time. Pretrbbers ignore and refuse to see that the remnant of Israel is grafted into the very same Olive Tree that Gentiles are grafted into. 4) I have listened to Dr. Woods and a hundred other Pretrib teachers. They all say the same thing, and give the same old tired arguments (which are not arguments at all). I have studied prophecy for almost 40 years, so I doubt there is much that I am "missing." And again, tribulation is not punishment. It is, or at least should be, the normal lot for the believer. It doesn't save. It matures us and perfects our faith in order that we may become EFFECTIVE witnesses. Tribulation is what Satan uses against the Church in order to lessen its effectiveness. However, God is smarter. He uses tribulation to prove our faith and mature us. Satan continues to make the same mistake over and over again, never learning his lesson. Satan holds the power of death, but Jesus holds the power of the resurrection. And who doesn't need to grow and mature as a believer? Pretribbers apparently.
wouldn't say that's quite right, disagreeing that God's purposes aren't redemptive bc "well why isn't He redeeming the demons", there's scripture that mentions something like they don't have a means for redemption. The point of Jesus dying on the cross (as a man) is because we needed a sacrifice for our sins, so there's some conditions involved, it's not merely God snaps His fingers and forgiveness occurs, no, if that was the case Jesus wouldn't be had to die as He did, to satisfy the justice side of God as Judge I'd say part of the purpose is that God be glorified, but a broader view is also that God the Father was seeking a bride / suitable partner for His Son, Adam is a type of Christ, his side was pierced for Eve to be made
to say that those who twist Scripture who inject into the bible what is not taught and say they are Christians, they are our brothers is a stretch. We simply cannot know for sure where they are. Why we feel the need to be welcoming is a strange thing rather than bring the necessary rebuke and correction that might make them actual Christians. After all my question is Jesus said the Holy Spirit was coming to be in and with us and Lead Us into ALL THE TRUTH, So what exactly is going on with those who teach what the Bible does not endorse?
Salvation is not based on what you believe about eschatology, but on what you believe about Jesus. Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit would convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. But there are those who tell us that once the Holy Spirit is "taken out of the way," that SOMEHOW 144,000 will be seal without the Holy Spirit' indwelling, a great multitude will be washed without the indwelling Holy Spirit, and a remnant of Israel will be saved without the indwelling Holy Spirit.
It was to His disciples that He was speaking. They are the ones who were lead into all truth in order to write the Scriptures. How we interpret what they have written is another thing altogether. Are you absolutely sure that every single thing that you believe is the truth? Or that every single person who disagrees with you, even on a single point, is not your Christian brother?
@Tomas I never said that the 144,000 do not have the Holy Spirit. I said that Pretrib Dispensationalists believe they are not indwell with the Spirit. They teach that the Holy Spirit in the Church restrains the mystery of iniquity and keeps back the Antichrist until he is revealed. If that is the case, then why don't the 144,000 Spirit indwell believers restrain evil and keep back the Antichrist? So give me a verse, just one single verse, that tells us that the 144,000 will be given the task of evangelism. It is an assumption not backed up by Scripture. They are called servants, not evangelists. Nowhere does the book of Revelation describe them as evangelists. Give me one verse that tells us that the Holy Spirit in the Church is the restrainer. None exist. It is again, an assumption. The Church is the Body of Christ, united to Him by the indwelling Spirit. When the Church is removed, is Christ going to have ANOTHER Body, 144,000 united to Him by the Spirit. Is Christ divided, with one Body raptured and the other suffering through tribulation? Now, I suggest that you be a good Berean, be noble, open the Bible, search it eagerly to make sure what YOU claim is scriptural. Stop making assumptions, and stop conflating terms (tribulation=wrath=hour of temptation=time of Jacob's trouble=Daniel's 70the week). There isn't a single verse in the Bible that teaches a Pretrib rapture. It is built of the unbiblical teaching of Dispensationalism which claims that Jesus did not unite in one Body, Jew and Gentile, that He is not building up Jew and Gentile into a holy Temple in which God lives by the Spirit. Jesus came to unite Jew and Gentile into one Body, and it is in that Body that all will be saved. Just as all perished who were not in the Ark in Noah's day, so ALL will perish who are not IN CHRIST in His Day. And no, all Scripture should NOT be taken literally, That is where you fall into a trap. The New Testament writers interpreted OT Scripture, not literally, but typologically. Even the prophecy of Jesus' virgin birth was not a literal fulfillment, nor of His being called out of Egypt, or of Him raising up David's tabernacle. "Take everything literally and if the plain text makes sense seek no other sense," is the mantra of Dispensationalists, but it is something that even you don't follow. An example is Revelation 4. Jesus calls John up in the Spirit, to see the Kingdom. That makes perfect sense, doesn't it, but Pretribbers then turn around and make a passage that makes perfect sense, mean something totally different, a symbol of the rapture. And even though Paul tells us that the coming of the Lord and our gathering to Him happen only AFTER the apostasy and the revelation of the man of sin, Pretribbers ignore that fact and make the claim that the gathering happens before it all. Not only that, but Pretribbers are now claiming that the word spostasia is a reference to the rapture, not a departure from the faith. And can you tell me where Scripture says that most Christians who do become Christians will be beheaded? So let's recap: 1) your claim that 144,000 are evangelists...NOT in Scripture. 2) your claim that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit in the Church... NOT in Scripture. 3) after the rapture Jews and unbelievers will be saved APART FROM being In Christ...NOT in Scripture. 4) after the rapture, most Christians will be beheaded...NOT in Scripture. 5) you should always take Scripture literally... NOT in Scripture.
@Tomas We have evidence from the Bible itself that confirms typological interpretation. In fact, the virgin birth was not LITERALLY prophesied. There is no prophecy in the OT that says Jesus would be called out of Egypt. These things were hidden in types and shadows. Abraham's Seed is not Israel, it is Christ and all who are in Him by faith. David's Tabernacle is Christ's Body, including those who are in Him by faith; that is, the Church whom Christ is raising up. The Kingdom is no longer of this earth, but has been raised up. Captives have been led in His train as He ascended on high, and now His people are seated in heavenly places with Him. Israel has been born again (while all unbelievers are cut off, circumcised from the nation.) "All Israel" is not the entire ethnic nation since only a remnant will be saved. And yes, Dispensational theology DID begin in the 1850's. There isn't even a hint that the Church age is a parenthetical time period between God's dealings with Israel anywhere in any writing prior to the 1850's (and even if there were, those writings would still contradict Scripture). The Church is the FULFILLMENT of ALL of the promises made to Israel...and they are all found in Christ. Paul's Gospel is not a different Gospel than Christ's. It was for the hope of Israel (the ethnic nation) that Paul was in chains. In other words, Paul's Gospel, a righteousness that is by faith, was Israel's hope from the beginning. In fact, Paul tells us that His Gospel was preached to Abraham, and the writer of Hebrews even tells us that the Gospel was preached to Israel in the Wilderness. The Church will not be rapture so that God can return to dealing with Israel. He is already dealing with Israel. Remember, to the Jew first, then the Gentile. Gentiles could not be saved until Israel (the believing remnant) was saved first, for it is into Israel that Gentiles are ingrafted. And the branches that were broken off can only be grafted back into that same believing remnant into which Gentiles are ingrafted. Scriptures are clear on this. There is no difference for all have sinned, and all are saved in the same way. There is no favoritism or partiality. You can pretend all you want that there are two peoples of God, with different destinies, but that is not what Scripture teaches. ALL are saved through the Body of Christ. In Adam all die, in Christ all are made alive. There is one Temple, one Bride, one Body, one Kingdom, one holy City with foundations, whose builder and maker is God, whom Abraham looked for. All must be united to Christ by faith, crucified with Him, raised up to new life in Him, and made a new creation in Him. He is the SOLE inheritor of ALL of the promises made to Israel, for He is the ONLY faithful Israelite, the ONLY one who fulfilled the Law. Israel will inherit nothing unless they are part of His Body, in Him by faith; that is, part of the Church. It's that simple. If you would like me to cite the references where the above scriptures are found, I can, but I would hope you would know them already.
You are only basing your argument on the fact that covenant is not mentioned. But even the term Trinity is never mentioned in the Bible. Does that mean that we don't believe in Trinity? Trinity is so clearly seen in the Bible and we no doubt believe it. Similarly Covenant Theologians see the aspect of covenant clearly in the bible. How do you explain that?
I like how dispensationalists cant allow the other point of view to explain themselves... cause they might make sense... Literal means the way the author intended, not wooden... Woods

I have a hard time understanding the hostility towards a Dispensational, literal Biblical interpretation, and prophetic view of the Bible. I've even heard some that accuse Dispensational Hermeneutics and pre-tribulation eschatology as the reason that we haven't converted the entire world, and why it's in such a mess. (Even though the scriptures tell us that is what is going to happen.) Some Millennialists seem to think that the Church is supposed to create the Kingdom by our own efforts, and hand Jesus the keys when He shows up and then everything starts into the eternal state; which really does not seem like what the scriptures tell us, at least not the way it reads to me; but I am far away from being a theologian. 🙏✝️👑✝️🙏
My favorite quote to illustrate covenant theology, and I’m sorry I can’t find it right now is the world continues to exist by God’s grace for the sake of His elect. I just have to disagree about God’s primary purpose in the creation of the world not being to have a people for His own possession. I think Ephesians 1:3-8 perfectly illustrates this. Obviously the world exists for God’s glory ultimately. But remember God is by nature a Savior. Exodus 34:6-7. I mean God ultimately could have annihilated Adam and Eve in the garden, but He did not and instead gave them the promise of the messiah to come in genesis 3:15. The whole OT is really a grand illustration of man’s inability to help themselves, and God setting the stage for His Messiah to come into view. Jesus even says that in Luke 24:44-49. The whole of Scripture is pointing to Christ. And so yes creation was made for the purpose to glorify Christ for the ultimate glorification of God the Father through the working of the Spirit. One day every Knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
What really gets my goat is you fellows don't take it to the end you are still mixing works with grace...exa. tithing...baptizing...church membership ...etc..our apostle Paul does not teach these organized church doctrines...so why don't you follow Paul as he follows christ
eh? So you evaluate the Bible through the lens of Paul, then? Tithing is not for the gentiles outside The Land. Baptism, or rather Immersion, has preached in the OT and NT. If Yeshua is our example, he did it. Where is your argument? Church membership is not uniformly across all organized churches.
Folks - “Trinity” is not expressly used in Scripture but it’s there. A “Covenant” is an agreement, implied or expressly stated. Adam & God had an expressly understood covenant but the word isn’t used. You might enter into a 30 year agreement with your bank to pay for your home - the word “covenant” might not be anywhere in the paperwork, but IS a covenant. This is really underhanded, to say that there’s no “covenant” if the word isn’t there. People are married (male & female) in the world every day & the word “covenant” might not be used anywhere in the paperwork (marriage licenses or certificates) but it IS a covenant. Come on, if you are going to say you interpret Scripture “literally” then do your due diligence and extrapolate a “covenant” (a contractual agreement, verbal or written) from Scripture, when it’s plainly there. Sheesh - we’re not ALL idiots, some of us actually DO scholarly research & come away recognizing the covenant theology that is understood in Scripture.
What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word.
(See what Joshua said about the Old Covenant land promise in Josh. 21:43.) Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth? Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups? Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and is it fulfilled by the blood of Christ at Calvary in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 12:18-24? Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church, if the New Covenant is “everlasting” in Hebrews 13:20? (See also 2 Thess. 1:7-10) If the New Covenant has made the Old Covenant “obsolete” in Hebrews 8:6-13, why would God go back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period?
Somebody sent me this clip, so here are my replies, copied & pasted from my reply texts. I strongly disagree with dispensationalism. Side note they like to use a lot of fancy sounding words to make themselves look smarter, and more believable as well. I will deal with this step by step as I I'm listening to it. First, Yahweh didn't allow a Redemption for the Angels , because even though they had free will, AKA a right to choose good or evil, they were created differently, were not tempted by the devil, and yet they defiled themselves. Second, the Covenant that Yahweh entered into with his people, which was Abraham at the time, and then later became Israel, those covenants and Promises were for all who wanted to be his people, because as it is written in Gal 3:8, Yahweh foreseeing that the Heathen would be saved foretold Abraham that through him the Nations will be blessed. Also see Ephesians chapter 2. Thirdly, the church does not replace Israel, because the church was here with Moses in the wilderness, see Acts chapter 7, so I believe the church has just evolved according to prophecy starting with Abraham from before Jews even existed, then extending to the proselytes who fled out of Egypt with the Israelites, and all other proselytes from the Bible, to the Church of today, and to the New Jerusalem of tomorrow, all made up of many nations. The old is a shadow of things to come. This is why God confused their languages in Babel, and their bloodlines of today , so that nobody could trace their lineage , and take false pride in that. Fourthly, reward and Punishment based on Works was from the beginning, sea Genesis 4:6-7. Works without faith is self righteousness, but faith without works is dead faith , so therefore they go together. The Works prove the faith, but yet Works without faith it's self-righteousness. Fifthly, Isaiah talks about the nations in the future coming to Israel and helping then plow their fields and take care of their animals, and looking up to them for teachings of the faith oh, but nevertheless there is the New Jerusalem as well at that time which will be on the Earth, which is made up of all tongues and Nations, not just Israel. There will be the Old & New Jerusalem on Earth at the same time. Sixthly, so Genesis 4:6 through 7 does talk about what looks like a clear and understood works rule, that if you do well you will be accepted, and if you do bad sin lies at the door. All of this was just up to minute 15 of the 55 minute video. These guys are tripping hard buddy. I'm sure there are some that believe they take the place of Israel, and those are known as anti-semites, but I simply believe that the Israel that God was referring to is made up of all tongues and Nations. You may think that sounds absurd and wonder where is my proof, so I will show you by simply stating some facts. Most of Israel does not even know their bloodlines, most Israelis are mixed with all kinds of nationalities, most Israelis cannot even Trace their lineage back to any tribe. And I just use the words most Israelis to be generous, but rather it is more accurate to say 99% of Israelis can not trace anything back to anything, so their nationality is simply based on speculation. They are just like anyone else heavily mixed. However there are only 12K from every tribe making up 144,000 that our heavenly Father preserved for the last days to go out and Minister and be marked with His seal. Besides their parents and siblings, that's it. Honestly, even though I may be wrong these guys are too painful to watch. To me they sound like two lunatics. Please don't get offended, but all I hear is nonsense from them. If anyone wants to try me, then I can provide even more scripture showing who are heavenly Father was referring to as His people.
✝️ 👨👩👧👦 🇺🇸 - Your theories are just flat out wrong thinking. The suggestion is to watch through all of Dr. Woods teachings on his ‘official’ RUclips channel...this will help you to see what the scriptures really say in these matters. 🙏
The irony is that dispensational theology is bankrupt and IT is what dominates the church. Which is why so many Christians lack understanding of scriptures. Read Phillip Mauro "The Hope of Israel"(1929). He does a very good job of explaining the error of dispensational interpretation method. The main thing to understand is that the "We interpret the bible "Literally" and you interpret the bible "Spiritually" or "Allegorically"" is a false dichotomy. Mauro shows that the true, biblical dichtomy is "EARTHLY/NATURAL" (OT) vs "HEAVENLY/SPIRITUAL" (NT) *BOTH Literal* (Read 1 Corinthians 15 until you see this clearly) This is why the book of Hebrews is called the book of "Better" things. OT realities were earthly, natural shadows. NT realities are the TRUE spiritual, heavenly, things of God because they are ALL made real by the "TRUE ISRAEL," Jesus Christ. Read Isaiah 49. Jesus IS the "Servant, Israel" that Isaiah speaks of. Jesus IS the ONLY True "Seed" (not seeds) Of Abraham to whom the promises were made. (Galatians 3:16) Not an earthly Israel "after the flesh." That's why the ONLY way the promises are made real is if one is IN CHRIST. "For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory." (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Man, this was a terrible interview. Two people in an echo chamber, building up each other's strawmen together and knocking them over in interview form. It's a disgusting misrepresentation of Covenant theology. It's hard not to call it bearing false witness. All these objections they bring up have had been answered and rebutted time and time again. It's painful to listen to, really. I was going to point out the issues with what they were saying but it is literally every other statement they make. The one that takes the cake is, "Covenant Theology is a form of antisemitism." This reminds me of, I don't like what you have to say, you must be a racist. I'd love to see them speak with someone about this rather this just sit around high fiving each other about "problems" they see with Covenant theology. So sad. This is a 16 part series on amillennialism. But every "major issue" they bring up is answered in the first three lectures. If you want to have any intellectual honesty and be able to see through strawmaning this issue check them out. ruclips.net/p/PL_9qlOmzFeL41UhQKISaPbtfyqWKCtf96 Also, it is hard to take him seriously when he calls the Westminster Confession of Faith, the "Westminister"
How is it that these people who do not believe the Truth of the Bible; ie Dispensationalism, be true Believers? The Holy Spirit leads us into all Truth. Thus, I believe there is only one interpretation of His Holy Bible.
In the interest of fair minded investigation, you could lookup a critique of dispensationalism by a covenant theologian. As proverbs 18:17 says “The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.”
@@deej4527 Exactly. I think Anthony doesn't see the implication of reading the promise of the new covenant in Jeremiah 31 31 as only ever applying to Israel and Judah. Logic would follow that Christ only died for their sins. This is what dispensationalism can do

✝️ 👨👩👧👦 🇺🇸 - No, you’re incorrect; Darby didn’t invent dispensationalism, he merely reinvigorated it. The Bible invented dispensationalism. All the word means is periods of time. We’re currently in the Church Age dispensation, the Rapture is next, then the 7 year tribulation, etc... Both doctrines are true, it’s the dispensations of the covenants. It’s as simple as that.

Dispensationalism= Earthly 1000 year reign of Jesus, Future for Israel, Rapture of the Church, global, seven year tribulation. All these truths are clearly taught in Scripture and were held by 1st Century Christians. The notion that it was invented by Darby in the 1800s is simply not true.
@Kimberly K I don't. However, one of the arguments for dispensationalism ( and I was one for over 20 years) is that the old testament promises to Israel have not yet been fulfilled. Old testament prophecies are referred to often to prove that Israel will receive the promise but the new testament does not support that notion. I'll now ask of you the same question...
@Kimberly K Hi, It's nice to meet you btw. I'm Mathew. No, I'm asking for proof, using the NT, that the prophecies regarding national Israel were still applicable to Israel.
@Kimberly K As I said, I was dispy for over 20 years....not so for the last 6. I can argue, using ALL of the scriptures, from both sides. But you must realize that Paul never addresses a postponement "mystery" but rather an "inclusion" one. Jew and Gentile were "made one" in Christ. They are "co-heirs" and "of the same body". Therefore, no non-dispy asserts that Gentiles have the blessings while Jews have the curses. That is what we call a strawman. All those "in Christ" have blessing whether Jew or Gentile. This is what the NT teaches explicitly.
✝️ 👨👩👧👦 🇺🇸 - Dr. Andy Woods is THE MOST underrated rockstar of today’s Christian Theologians 🙏
That's a lot of truth in only three sentences! :)

Those Old Testament saints are already in Heaven experiencing the Millennial Reign with Christ. Reading Hebrews 11 and 12 together shows this clearly. We see the Firstborn already enrolled in Heaven in Hebrews 12:22-24. Ezekiel's Temple is there in Heaven right now. If you die between the Two Resurrections you are a spirit in Heaven, the same Hebrews 12 Scripture mentions the spirits separate from the Firstborn. They get their Resurrected bodies at the Second Resurrection. Andy Woods fails to see that the next Resurrection is the Second Resurrection. We see the Second Resurrection mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4. Revelation 1-19 is over, culminating in 70AD. The Greek word for earth in Revelation is ge. Ge does not mean global earth, it means soil, land ground or earth, as in the land of Israel. Andy thinks that when Revelation says 1/4 or 1/3 of the earth in destroyed, that this is global earth. That's how he comes up with all of Revelation being in the future, but again, it's not. There won't be more earthly temples built. There won't be an earthly king jesus for a 1,000 years on earth.
Thank you Pastors for this very insightful discussion.
I love how Dr. Andy Woods makes deep study so understandable!
Excellent teachings about how exegetically derived teachings compare with those derived from a theological system. This difference is the challenge in today's Christian leadership.
Excellent work enjoyed the discussion.
Subscribed. This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Love this guy, has all the biblical evidence to prove his position, just as it should be.
And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he showed them the things therein concerning himself."
Two lines of messianic prophecy: one where the Christ would rule forever, the other where he'd be "cut off and have nothing." Both couldn't happen at once, and one had to preceed the other. Dispensationalism rightly divides the word so everything doesn't happen at once. So let's be honest and give each word it's place in time, like God does in the Bible. "Every word of God is pure; he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
Thanks y'all
Covenantalism is something you have to convince yourself of _before_ diving into the Scripture.
Not that covenants are important in the history of the church or anything 🥱
It’s unfortunate. Woods clearly approached this as a theological and intellectual discussion and displayed charity, the host just seems to want to mock his theological opponents.
Agree, this was hard to listen to. The host just wants instant confirmation of his viewpoint without understanding the other side in any depth.
Yes! Thank you!

@@George-ur8ow I've noticed that most...not all...but most who believe in loss of salvation tend to introspect oneself whereas those who believe salvation can never be lost see Jesus as salvation not looking at themselves or what one must do or continue to do. I believe Jesus finished it 2,000 years ago for those who would believe the report (Isaiah 53:1)
Recently, I was in fellowship with a street preacher and a few others who all believed salvation is contingent on one's own merits....but never outwardly professing this. Fear and condemnation is what engulfed me for weeks and months. A very heavy, weighty presence even when I prayed. At the moment I began to go back to reading Acts 16:31, the fear left almost immediately and peace and comfort rushed in. I soon ended the fellowship. I actually ran. This was this past May. This is not to say I still don't get caught up with anxiety at certain verses which seem to suggest a believer can perish for good, but altogether God's doing a work in me and I have to trust Him since He's the author and finisher of our faith. I believe salvation can never be lost. Thanks.
@@danielrutigliano7938 I have known my wife since I was 17, and we have been married for more than 20 years. I feel very secure in our relationship, but I am quite certain that there are things I could do to destroy that relationship. I am not in fear of that happening, however, because I have no intention of doing any of those things.
You sound like you might be on the younger side. Were I in your shoes, I wouldn't make a decision one way or another. I'd study long and hard and read a lot on this subject in the coming months.

Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Galatians 3:8)
(See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107.
Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323.
John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated…
"...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.”

Absolutely massive misrepresentation of the "CT" or Reformed view.
Both are in the body of Christ.
Great teacher!

@@agustinvega8969 If I remember correctly, one of their arguments against Covenant Theology is the lack of explicit Scriptural references to the various covenants highlighted in covenant theology.

Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.

? You stated the Palestinian covenant? What and Where is that ? There is no Palestinian covenant in scripture.
Covenant theologians smack of Gnosticism.
wouldn't say that's quite right, disagreeing that God's purposes aren't redemptive bc "well why isn't He redeeming the demons", there's scripture that mentions something like they don't have a means for redemption. The point of Jesus dying on the cross (as a man) is because we needed a sacrifice for our sins, so there's some conditions involved, it's not merely God snaps His fingers and forgiveness occurs, no, if that was the case Jesus wouldn't be had to die as He did, to satisfy the justice side of God as Judge
I'd say part of the purpose is that God be glorified, but a broader view is also that God the Father was seeking a bride / suitable partner for His Son, Adam is a type of Christ, his side was pierced for Eve to be made
to say that those who twist Scripture who inject into the bible what is not taught and say they are Christians, they are our brothers is a stretch.
Since dispensationalism was invented in the 1850's are you saying there was no true Christian until then?
So let's recap:
1) your claim that 144,000 are evangelists...NOT in Scripture.
Israel has been born again (while all unbelievers are cut off, circumcised from the nation.)
"All Israel" is not the entire ethnic nation since only a remnant will be saved.
Maybe these two guys haven't read most of the new testament. I hope they find time to do so.
Sadly, a novel dispensational movement has replaced Christ with a re-emerged national Israel as the sacred centrepiece of prophecy. ✔️

Dispensationalism imposes a rigid framework on history, creating artificial divisions and neglecting the organic progression of God's plan.
Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary.
What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below.

@@romansthirteen-four8626 The following shows some of the many errors of modern Dispensational Theology.
Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ?
(Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Paul’s interpretation in Galatians 3:8.)
(See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)

(See also 2 Thess. 1:7-10) If the New Covenant has made the Old Covenant “obsolete” in Hebrews 8:6-13, why would God go back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period?
Not an allegorical believer

Mauro shows that the true, biblical dichtomy is "EARTHLY/NATURAL" (OT) vs "HEAVENLY/SPIRITUAL" (NT) *BOTH Literal*
(Read 1 Corinthians 15 until you see this clearly)
This is why the book of Hebrews is called the book of "Better" things.

Utter mis-representation of CT.
well why don't describe it the right way for us... or post links to better evaluation
This host is just foaming at the mouth trying to cut Andy off and interject his opinion....
Jehovah made a covenant with the house of Israel and judah.. Nowhere in the bible does he make a covenant with anyone but Israel after Abraham..
That is an interesting statement. You're saying that Christians today are not part of the new covenant.
Um what was...this is a new covenant in my blood.
@@deej4527 Exactly. I think Anthony doesn't see the implication of reading the promise of the new covenant in Jeremiah 31 31 as only ever applying to Israel and Judah. Logic would follow that Christ only died for their sins. This is what dispensationalism can do
@@deej4527 It is a RENEWED covenant in Yeshua's blood rather than the blood of goats and bulls using the same TORAH/God's Instructions, but now written on heart rather than stone. Gentiles are grated in. Romans 9-11
Calling blunders "theology" is generous. The Church isn't Israel. Maybe that wasn't as obvious in 1540.

Covenantal theology is about Glorifying God. You are wrong.

(See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
9. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology.
Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:

@@jordanmitchell2624 Can you show me the proof of what your saying using the gospels and epistles?
