    www.peace.org....
The Heresy that Caused the Current Cultural Defeat of the Western Church.
The last hundred years, says John Alley, have seen the spiritual demise of the nations that constitute the West. These nations were formerly based in Christianity but in more recent times have become culturally polluted and corrupted. The remaining nations of the world, on the other hand, have seen a burgeoning growth of Christianity.
John links the current condition of the West to the rise of the doctrine of dispensationalist. With the growth in popularity of this doctrine a large percentage of Christians changed what they believed and chose instead a very pessimistic view regarding end times and the ultimate outcome for the Church. A a result, says John, the Western Church has become emasculated, materialistic and increasingly self-centred. John goes on to explain the nature of the true Israel, the law and the consequences of wrong beliefs. This message will provoke serious thinking on the part of the listeners as well as hope for the future.

Sorry but that is cherry picking. How good was life before Darby? Life was harder and worse and we saw false doctrines in the church, killings of millions of Christians, the church amassing huge amounts of money, the church having a ‘military’ arm, bad hygiene and diseases, etc. was that the result of covenant theology?

I used to believe this when I first became a Christian. But the more I studied church history I realized it was off. It was systematized by one man in the mid 1800s (John Darby) and then spread throughout the evangelical churches by the Scofield study bible. Hard to believe Christian leaders would so readily adopt a brand new theology without first critically examining it and investigating its origins! Just shows how easily swayed we can be by a charismatic leader selling his new doctrine to the naive.

PRE-TRIB TEACHERS ARE THE EVOLUTIONISTS OF THEOLOGY. You will not find them exegeting anything. It was a mere theory that should have been left at that just like Darwinian evolution. If they have to use false stuff to prove their teaching, you already know it is not of God. I was taught it in 1985 in Bible School. Once I compared it to sound doctrine 30 years later, I saw how blasphemous it was, heretical, it has two brides, two gospels, two high priests, and so on. Dr. Thomas Ice right now along with other famous teachers are doing a Westcott and Hort and trying to change what the Greek word apostasia means and say it is a rapture word. This is downright evil. Every single dictionary in the world says it is one leaving their faith. It has nothing to do with leaving the earth. Like I said they dont' exegete anything. They don't know what the word means. God Bless. I am glad to see the Lord opened your eyes. You were teachable and that is why He did that for you.

The Catholic Church was the originator of covenant theology, that taught that Christians were the new Jews and the inheritors of the Old Testament promises God made to the Jews.
Dispensation theology said no. Jews are still relevant and God's Old Testament promises still apply to the Jews.
I'm sure the miraculous establishment of Israel in 1948 as a modern Jewish nation, is proof that dispensation theology is correct.
Perhaps when the Jews rebuild the 3rd Temple and reestablish animal sacrifices, perhaps then you will realize that it is the Catholic doctrine of covenant theology that is the heresy.

This is a blessing. I"ve been a Christian just about 40 years. All my pastors have been dispensationalist. When I would pray for my Country, ( America ), I thought, what"s the use, Jesus is coming and we will be raptured and He say"s all these evil things are gonna happen anyway. I was looking forward to getting out of here because things are only gonna get worst. Well, the Lord has been opening my eye"s to all this. I share it with family and Christian friends and they accuse me of being back slidden and preaching false doctrine. The American Church has been heavily indoctrinated , totally brainwashed. Hard to find an Orthodox doctrinal Church in my area.I believe this dispensational doctrine is the fuel for wars around the globe. The blood of innocence are on our hands. When I got saved, I read the New Testament, then read the whole Bible all the way through in order.
And what struck me after reading the New Testament a second time was the amount of people who called the Jewish people “God’s chosen people” in Christian Churches, at the pulpit.
This is NOT me hating Jews, it’s what I read in the Bible that we have a New Covenant in Christ Jesus, that many of His own did not receive, and that we must receive to be received.
I don’t know what God will do with national Israel. I am not mad when He saves souls. I pray for it. But right now, there’s less than 2% professing Christ over there.
As Christians, we need to stop calling antichrists “God’s chosen people”. We know that those who deny the Christ are in fact antichrist.
We don’t have to go to the extreme and hate a race of people, but we need to be able to say what the Bible says in regards to those who deny the Christ, whether they be Jew or Gentile. If we keep propagating that they still belong in God’s kingdom, there will be no incentive to evangelize them, and they need Jesus just as much as we do!
Remember the next time someone tells you as a Gentile that you are less than:
There is no respect of persons in Christ Jesus.
Jesus is the truth, the life and the way. No one comes to the Father except through Him.
We must be born again of incorruptible seed to be a child of God.
    Jesus is the cornerstone.
Jesus is the seed that blesses all the families of the earth.
No one can come to Christ unless the Father draws them.
If we cast out devils in the name of God then the kingdom of God has come upon us.
WHOSEOVER believes that Jesus is the Son of God will have eternal life.
    God so loved the WORLD.

@@toddstevens9667 Dispensationalism is reflected in the 'Word of Faith' Prosperity Gospel, where they believe God simply 'dispenses' gifts to those who have a strong enough faith. They do not recognize both the spirit and letter of the New Testament. Israel broke their agreement or 'covenant' with God.
"Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant WHICH THEY BROKE, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD." Jeremiah 31:31-32.
Dispensationalists believe that 'what God gives, he never takes away,' hence His dispensations to the Hebrews does NOT matter on their upholding any agreement. They ignore the fact that God wiped out Israel and Jerusalem in 70 A.D. simply because it doesn't fit with their 'what God gives, he doesn't take away.'
"Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I TELL YOU THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD WILL BE TAKEN WAY FROM YOU and given to a people who will produce its fruit." Matthew 21:42-43.
This is New Testament Christianity, not Israel centered Christian Zionism, where they believe that Jews are inherently closer to God, and thus BETTER than Christians. However, Biblical Jesus Christ based prophecy is quite explicit:
"They will level you to the ground- you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, BECAUSE YOU DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE TIME OF YOUR VISITATION FROM THE LORD.” Luke 19:44.

Wow, that could not be more wrong. Dispensationalists are not saved because their system of belief is actually denying what Jesus Christ did on the cross. They are denying that Jesus is the True Israel and that He died to make everyone ONE body! Dispensationalism is not just a "little" wrong about Jesus Christ, it misses the whole point of Jesus Christ being True Israel. Believing in a rapture of the Church so another plan can play out for national Israel is saying that Jesus Christ did not fulfill the covenant promises - denying Him on the cross! It won’t be cleaned up. The people who endorse it will be on their death beds and facing the fact that they wasted their entire lives waiting for a rapture or Armageddon instead of doing something good for themselves or others. I have a family member who’s still extremely fanatical about it and it’s just hard to listen to her speak anymore. The purpose of the doctrine is clear: waste people’s lives and convince them that God is on their side every step.

Frankly, I think that a lot of the antisemitism in the world can be chalked up to people realizing that they were duped into being pro-Israel through a lie being told through their religion. It's hard for good Church going people to suddenly realize that their pastors and favorite Christian TV station has been lying to them.

I'm going to re-post my comment throughout here because it's applicable to a lot of people.
      (repost)
"I find this funny to read since the early Church Fathers were dispensationalists and Premillennialists.
      Understanding the disciple lineage
Apostle John taught Polycarp. Polycarp taught Irenaeus, and it is said that Irenaeus even met John a few times. Irenaeus taught Hippolytus.
Proof of what we call Dispensation in the early Church
Irenaeus (about 180 AD) who wrote his 5 volume works called “Against Heresies” who was a disciple of Polycarp who was a disciple of the Apostle John. “In 2 Thessalonians, the ‘falling away’ is an apostasy and there will be a literal rebuilt temple. In Matthew, the ‘abomination spoken by Daniel’ is the Antichrist sitting in the temple as if he were Christ. The abomination will start in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week and last for a literal three years and six months. The little horn is the Antichrist. Against Heresies 5.25
Ephrem 306-373 AD in his writings called "The End Times"
Before the time of abomination (which Irenaeus says is in the middle of the 7 years; after 3 years and 6 months). of his desolation having been made legal, he takes the empire, and, just as it is said in the Psalm: “They have been made for the undertaking for the sons of Lot” Psalm 83:8 The Moabites and the Ammonites shall meet him first as their king. Therefore, when he receives the kingdom, he orders the temple of God to be rebuilt for himself, which is in Jerusalem, who coming into it, he shall sit as God and order that he be adored by all nations, since he is carnal, filthy, and mixed with worthless spirit and flesh…Because the very wicked serpent shall direct every worship to himself. Because he shall put forth an edict so that people may be circumcised according to the rite of the old law. The Jews shall congratulate him, because he gave them again he practice of the first covenant; then all people from everywhere shall flock together to him at the city of Jerusalem and the holy city shall be trampled on by the nations for forty-two months just as the holy apostle says in the Apocalypse, which become three and a half years, 1,260 days.
Hippolytus (170-235 AD) wrote a 67 section/ chapter writing called "The Antichrist - a Treatise on Christ and Antichrist" (around 205 AD)
"Now we must consider the question at hand, letting the previous introduction suffice. We must find out what the Holy Scriptures teach about: the occasion and time of the coming of Antichrist what tribe he comes from what his name is (from the number 666 in Scripture) how he shall work error among the people, gathering them from the ends of the earth his tribulation and persecution against the saints how he glorifies himself as God. What his end shall be the Lord’s sudden appearing revealed from heaven the conflagration of the whole world the glorious and heavenly kingdom of the saints when they reign together with Christ the punishment of the wicked by fire." Section 5-Prophecy introduction.
      continued in his writing
"Now Daniel will set forth this subject to us. For he says, “And one week will make a covenant with many, and it shall be that in the midst of the week my sacrifice and oblation shall cease.” Daniel 9:27 By one week, therefore, he meant the last week which is to be at the end of the whole world, of which week the two prophets Enoch and Elias will take up the half. For they will preach 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth, proclaiming repentance to the people and to all the nations." ...For John says, “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” Revelation 11:3 That is the half of the week that Daniel spoke about. “These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the Lord of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire will proceed out of their mouth, and devour their enemies; and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy; and have power over waters, to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues as often as they will.” Revelation 11:4-6 And when they shall have finished their course and their testimony, what does the prophet say? “the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them,” Revelation 11:7 because they will not give glory to Antichrist. For this is meant by the little horn that grows up. He, being now elated in heart, begins to exalt himself, and to glorify himself as God, persecuting the saints and blaspheming Christ, even as Daniel says, “I considered the horns, and, behold, in the horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things; and he opened his mouth to blaspheme God. And that born made war against the saints, and prevailed against them until the beast was slain, and perished, and his body was given to be burned.” Daniel 7:8
Hippolytus lived 170-235 AD He wrote this about 205 AD. Long after 70AD. Long after the Jews were exiled in 135AD. Irenaeus who was a 2nd generation disciple from the Apostle John, taught Hippolytus. Now these all could be wrong but Dispensation Premillennialism is what the early Christian Father believed and taught. Now we have to study it to see if it's true but it is neither new nor unbiblical doctrine.
      Proof of Premillennialism
      Barnabas, AD First Century
“Therefore, children, in six days, or in six thousand years, all the prophecies will be fulfilled. Then it says, ‘He rested on the seventh day.’ This signifies at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus, He will destroy the Antichrist, judge the ungodly, and change the sun, moon, and stars. Then He will truly rest during the Millennial reign, which is the seventh day.” Epistle of Barnabas 15:7-9
      Commodianus, AD 240
“We will be immortal when the six thousand years are completed.” Against the Gods of the Heathens 35 “Resurrection of the body will be when six thousand years are completed, and after the one thousand years [millennial reign], the world will come to an end.” Against the Gods of the Heathens 80
      Victorinus, AD 240
“Satan will be bound until the thousand years are finished; that is, after the sixth day.” Commentary on Revelation 20.1-3
      Methodius, AD 290
“In the seventh millennium we will be immortal and truly celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.” Ten Virgins 9.1
However, the problem with many Christians is that they forget the laws of entropy. We were perfect in the garden and we are slowly devolving to the point where Jesus says by the time He comes at His 2nd Coming we will have brought ourselves to the brink of self-extinction.
      Matthew 24:21-22, 29-30 NLT
21 For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones...29 “Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened,
the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
30 And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Notice verse 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive.
how will we bring ourselves to the point of self-extinction? War.
Jesus says the last of the last days will begin with war verses 6-8
6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
      Revelation 6:8
8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Rev 9:16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.
Rev 19:9 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
There are so many early church commentaries on this topic that I can never understand why so many Pastors who talk against dispensational premillennialism never seem to acknowledge these documents but continue to say this is a "new" doctrine. This preacher says you can study and not find a trace, well either he's very ignorant or lying because I have books from 1995 on my shelf that showed a number of early church writers believed these things.
I've known this stuff about the early Church for 30+ years. I'm not sure what he's been reading. Hope this helps.

You’re leaving out a very important part. Irenaes knew who the restrainer was. Not one dispensational teacher mentions it, yet they say Irenaes was a futurist. Of course everything was in the future to him for one thing.
Paul warned there were already false teachers in his day.
      The RCC highly venerated Irenaes.
Perhaps researching where futurism and preterism came from would shed some light on this. Then go back to chapter 26? I believe of Against Heresies and see who he believed was the restrainer. Then look at what every single reformer believed. 🙏

It is imposed on the text and on our understanding of history by doctrinal teachers - who mostly learned this view in seminary, and I would argue it adds nothing to our understanding of Scripture. As a former intelligence analyst and academic researcher, coming to the Bible without no seminary training or Biblical training for that matter, I came into reading the Bible looking for a framework, whether it be an operational framework, conceptual framework, or theoretical framework. I have found all three! However, the latter being the lesser of the three. There is most certainly an operational and conceptual framework in play. To ignore it, leaves the Bible to chance, incoherence, and chaos. No scholars worth their salt, theist or otherwise, would disagree with my position. Dispensationalism is something I happen to fall upon, and not by accident, but my the guidance the tutelage of the Holy Ghost. Dispensationalism is a framework and is found in the Bible (1 Cor. 9:17; Eph. 1:10, 3:2; Col. 1:25)…well it’s only found in the KJV, unlike many of watered down versions such as the NIV.
It is easy to see that God is dealing with three distinct groups of people: Jews or the Nation of Israel (predominately the OT, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, 1 Peter to Revelation), the Gentiles (non-Jews), and the Church (Romans to Philemon). To ignore this is to be purposely ignorant of that very fact.
Now, I disagree with his supposition that dispensationalism has resulted in the worldly woes and apostasy, particularly in the west. Least we forget after the reformation many so-called churches born from the Roman Catholic (RC) Church, it’s children, are now returning home to his mother. Like a child who bears some resembles of its mother, so do these Protestant churches, which most are largely apostate and continued to preach and teach what the RC has taught them. The RC, throughout the dark ages has perverted scripture which many of the RC’s children have adopted and created their own bible versions. I notice this pastor teaches out of the NIV, which is not an inspired book, which goes into a whole discussion about manuscript evidence, which I will not go into. If you look into the history of the NIV, one of its’ translators was a lesbian. Moreover, this heretical Bible version, along with all modern bible versions, adds, changes and substracts from the world of God, and as a result they are cursed according to Revelation 22:18-19. And before someone comments, and says this verse is only for the Book of Revelation, recall what happen to Adam’s wife when she added, changed, and subtracted from the world of God, because “she was deceived”, not the man. As Isaiah 46:10, “10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”
The KJV, particularly the 1611 authorized version cannot be changed. And what’s fascinating is that it’s the most attacked by Muslims and Jews!
I can easily spot pharisees out, just like in Acts 15, where Pharisees tried to keep Christians under the law. This man most certainly believes the Gospel of “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17, KJV) was for everyone and not just Israel. That’s hog wash! He most certainly believes in supersessionsim or replacement theology (the position of the RC), where the church has taken on all the spiritual and physical blessings of Israel, basically the church has replaced Israel. Jesus most certainly came for the Jews, but you don’t have to take my words for it. Jesus said it himself in Matthew 10:5-7,
“5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
As a matter of fact, you will NEVER see Jesus change this command in any of the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), moreover, you will find that Jesus doubles down on this in Acts 1:8, “ But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
The problem with many theological scholars is that immediately assume the 11 disciples are to go to the entire world right away, but is this true? One only has to continue to read the book of Acts to see that Peter, James, and John don’t preach to any gentile, which would have been in violation of Matthew 28:19-20. Why? Because of Matthew 10:5-7, but you can also see Jesus doubles, if not triples, down in Matthew 15:24 and 18:11.
If the gospel of the kingdom was for both Jews and Gentiles, then why did it take seven years for Peter to share the gospel to the Roman Centurion Cornelius and not right away on Pentecost? Also notice the Gospel that the Apostle Peter gives to Cornelius is NOT the same in Acts 2:38.
“38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Acts 2:38 is closer to John the Baptist’ and Jesus’ gospel message, directed to Jews. Peter says to repent, but he did not do this in the case of Cornelius….Even the Apostle Paul says something completely different. In Acts 16:31, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” (KJV).
Now, Jesus does change that command found in Matthew 10:5-7, 15:24, 18:11 in Acts 9:15, which is practically in reserve of Acts 1:8.
“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:” (KJV) (Red letters).
Notice the order of Acts 9:15 as opposed to Acts 1:8.
Obviously we find the Apostle Peter bringing the first recorded gentiles to Jesus in Acts 10, but it was the Apostle Paul’s Commision to go into the Gentile nation and not James, Peter, and John to the Jews (Galatians 2:7). Our Lord Jesus Christ revealed somethings to the Apostle Paul that Jesus’ other disciples did not know, which we see in Galatians 1:11-12 and Acts 15.
So, just because early church fathers didn’t teach it, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Again, Paul was teaching something completely different and he was well educated in the Torah then probably the rest of Jesus’ disciples. Keep in mind, not all of Jesus’ disciples were well educated men…it is assumed that they were, which is conjecture. The Apostle Paul tells his listeners he’s a Hebrew of Hebrews (Philippians 3:5) and Pharisee of Pharisees (Acts 23:6). Don’t assume all of Jesus’ disciples were well educated men, in doing so, you try to deceive through subtlety.
There are different types of dispensations all throughout the OT, but no scholar worth their salt argues against that, but there just happens to be no dispensation in the NT? Again, hogwash. Where most preachers and laymen Christian fall prey is that they don’t understand that the Books of Matthew, Acts and Hebrews are transitional books. As a result they hang themselves with it. Matthew is from OT to NT. Acts Jews to Gentiles (Church). Hebrews from Church back to Jews. If this isn’t dispensations I don’t know what is.
Lastly, Paul says something fascinating in Galatians 1:8-9,
“8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (KJV).
First what Gospel is he talking about? The gospel Paul preaches is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4,
“1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (KJV)
Also, if you teach anything outside of this you will be cursed! So is the angel in heaven in Revelation 14:6-7 cursed? Because he’s clearly preaching another gospel.
“6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (KJV).
The Bible clearly teaches us to right divide (dispense) the word of truth. In failing to do so, you fall into what he says is heresy. Dispensationalism isn’t heresy, it most certainly is doctrine.
“15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV).

I find this funny to read since the early Church Fathers were dispensationalists and Premillennialists.
Sure maybe some have communicated it in a dire way but the world was always on a path to war. There were discussions made 50 years ago that would lead to another world war. Should we panic, or fear? No. But we need to be aware so we know what the LORD is doing.
      Hope this helps.

Let me begin by asking a few questions intended to establish your "baseline" for considering dispensational teaching. 1) Is the Bible the very Word of God? 2) Does God change? 3) Are the Scriptures the authority over man?
For myself, the answers are Yes, No, and Yes. With that as the backdrop here are some dispensational views. God changes His plans in reaction to mans actions whereby He designs multiple forms of His salvation dependent upon current circumstances. That offers the conclusion that God changes and is not unmoveable, unchangeable and is not actually in charge. Secondly dispensation teaches that God is a respecter of persons (in particular blood line Jews) and saves them according to their heritage and not by faith. This results in portions of the Scriptures being for the Jews and others for the Church (dispensation teaches "replacement" theology in which, for a time, God replaces Israel with the Church). The resulting segregation of the Bible (which parts apply and which don't) places man as the authority over the Scriptures deciding what applies and what does not.
This is just a launching point and I pray it causes some examination and some confirmation, not just for you but for as many as take time to read this reply.
      May God bless you.

@@wesmuntz8797 I believe, Yes, Is the Bible the very Word of God. No, God does not change and Yes the Scriptures the authority over man. While God changes the heavens and the earth, He Himself is not among the things He changes: “You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same” (Ps. 102:26-27). God declares, “I, the LORD, do not change” (Mal. 3:6). He is “the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow” (James 1:17). When God makes a promise, He swears by Himself and so stakes the surety of His word on Himself. It is God’s unchangeableness that guarantees the unchangeableness of His promises and that gives us strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us (Heb. 6:13-18). To whatever extent God could change His mind, our confidence in the unchangeableness of His promises would be destabilized. He declares the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done. These all unfold in accordance with His purpose and good pleasure (Isa. 46:10). God “works all things according to the counsel of his will,” (Eph. 1:11) and no one frustrates His plans (Job 42:1-2; Prov. 19:21; Isa. 14:26-27; Dan. 4:35). Insomuch as a change of mind ordinarily redirects our actions due to unexpected roadblocks, God’s mind cannot change. All things and circumstances-good and evil-are included in His comprehensive decree for the world and so cannot be the occasion of a change of mind in Him. A change of mind is invariably due to the acquisition of new knowledge or of a new judgment about reality, but God is perfect in knowledge (Job 37:16), knowing all things (1 John 3:20). Moreover, His perfect knowledge of the world is not derived from the world. He teaches all humans knowledge (Ps. 94:9-11), but no one teaches or informs God (Isa. 40:12-14). A state of mind is a state of being. Mental states have an ontological status. If God were to enter a new state of mental actuality-which is what happens in every change of mind-we would be compelled to say that He previously lacked some actuality of being, namely, the state of mind into which He entered via a change He underwent. What’s more, God would be ontologically dependent upon whatever agent or event caused His new state of mind. New states of mind are caused states of mental being and actuality. And there simply are no caused states of being or actuality in God. He is the uncaused cause of all else-the One from whom, through whom, and to whom are all creatures (Rom. 11:36). As such, God is the One who is fullness of being itself, giving to all but receiving from none. Perhaps for this reason most of all, classical theists are correct to insist that God does not experience changes of mind. Secondly Salvation was by faith in the Old Testament, says Paul, and the example of Abraham proves it. Abraham did not earn salvation by works but believed God and received salvation by faith (not by a particular blood line or heritage). Even in the Old Testament, says Paul, God promised the day when the Gentiles would be joined with Israel and all nations would become children of Abraham. Was Abraham a unique case? Not at all. "The children of Abraham are those who believe." "Those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham" (Galatians3:7, 9). Abraham's exemplary faith is mentioned in Genesis, Galatians, Romans, and Hebrews. His faith is the pattern for all believers.

@@wesmuntz8797 My answer would be the same, Yes, No and Yes. It is not my dispensational view that God changes. Gods nature never changes. I the Lord change not (Mal 3:6), He is not a man that He should lie or change His mind (1 Sam 15:29, Num 23:19), He swears by Himself and so stakes the surety of His word on Himself (Heb 6:13-18). A change is invariably due to the acquisition of new knowledge or of a new judgment about reality, but God is perfect in knowledge (Job 37:16). But he changes the outward dispensations of his providence, or his methods of acting with men . . . and this being similar to what they do when they repent of anything, who alter their course, hence repentance is ascribed to God, though, properly speaking, it does not belong to him. It is God’s unchangeableness that guarantees the unchangeableness of His promises and that gives us strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. It is also not my dispensational view that He is a respecter of persons ( salvation because of Jewish heritage), or that the Church has replaced Israel. Salvation is by faith (Eph 2:8-9). Salvation was by faith in the Old Testament, ( They looked forward to a coming messiah ) says Paul, and the example of Abraham proves it. Abraham did not earn salvation by works but believed God and received salvation by faith. Abraham's exemplary faith is mentioned in Genesis, Galatians, Romans, and Hebrews. I have had this discussion with countless numbers of people for many year who reject basic dispensations and they all just ignore huge sections of the Bible because they don't know what to do with it. So they just pretend it does not exist. Both the OT and the NT are very clear that Israel will exist as a nation in the last days, still rejecting Jesus and do not accept Him until late in the great tribulation.

When I became a Christian I was surrounded by dispy teaching. A couple years ago I began learning covenant theology I fully agree that the system of dispensationalism has emasculated the church. That said, its wrong to call it a heresy. They preach the gospel and adhere to orthodoxy. It's also wrong to say that they teach that the church was an after-thought. Other than that, I agree with everything he says.

Dispensationalism IS heresy....it wasn't even a thing prior to the 1800s. Neither was rapture doctrine. You can preach and teach truth mixed with heresy....that's how so many people are deceived. As far as dispensationalists teaching the church as being an after thought, well they don't say it like that but definitely imply it. It depends on the preacher I suppose. So he's not entirely wrong on that. I am currently researching covenant theology as well. I'm also interested in partial preterism because it's the closest thing I've found that refutes the rapture. There's so much confusion out there....but also so much truth if we are just willing to humble ourselves and allow the Lord to show us. Blessings!😊

He hit the main spots well that Dispensationalists really mess up, namely, The church and Israel, The Law, the Kingdom of God, and how they separate teachings that are not to be separated. I was a dispensationalist for many years before I totally abandoned it through studying the Bible and the church fathers. I truly believe that nobody would ever come up with dispensational teachings by studying historic church teachings or by studying the Bible itself. I would like to add that most people that hold dispensational teachings never studied the Bible for themselves; but, they studied under a specific school of thought.
I have personally experienced that, Christians raised in dispensational churches are afraid of believing something different from their church because most dispensationalist churches consider you a lesser christian or not a christian at all if you disagree with their dispensational theology. The behavior is very similar to NonChristian cult behavior like Jehovah witness and Mormon "shunning." Ironically, dispensationalism came from the same era of Mormonism and Jehovah Witness.' I find it very uncanny the similarity of Charles Taze Russell (Jehovah Witness founder) and Clarence Larkin (major Dispensationalist proponent) teachings on the "Great Pyramid." Both these people are major factors in the destruction Christianity as we know it today.
I even have seen people try to convert people to Christianity by having them watch the "Left Behind" movies. Many people in Christianity today have exchanged the true gospel for dispensationalist "Rapture" and "PreMillenial" theology. It's very sad to watch. If a dispensationalist is reading this and wants to know the gospel please read this link.

It is not the same as historic premillennialism as to some of the timeline (dispensationalists add a lot of stuff to the timeline historic premillennialists don't largely insofar as the nation of Israel and Jews) however they are in the same category as premillennialists. As to the millennial timelines there are 4 schools in Christianity now historical/pre-, post-, a- and dispensational/pre. Obviously the dispensational/pre theology is very recent in church history but it was an offshoot of a minority view of premillennialism at the time. Technically dispensationalists are premillennialists, though since there were new elements added to the historical premillennial view it is technically it's own theory all by itself now. Though dispensationalists are not in total alignment in their views with historic premillennialists they share the "pre" ideas of the millennial kingdom timeline. Since nowadays historic premillennialism is pretty rare and dispensationalism has kind of taken over well it is common to not distinguish between the two since the dispensationalism is the mainstream premillennial view. In truth most Christians are not even aware that there are two premillennial views and think dispensationalism is THE premillennial view, and since there are so few historic proponents nowadays the arguments are pretty much between the a-, post and dispensational millennialists with dispensationalist theology coopting the platform of the pre- camp.

This is a good message but may be a leap for some people in conceptual terms. This particular concept jump has taken me many years as God graciously showed little things at a time. Essentially many western Christians today believe that the world is going to get worse and worse until the end. Because of this they have little faith when they pray because they don't expect God will answer their prayers - they think God's plan is for things to get worse not better. So in fact many western Christians don't act, don't pray, and don't believe for better things.
A proper examination of Scripture shows us a victorious Saviour - one who planned for good. God has given us many promises and the harmony of the Bible shows a good God, a good kingdom... and the gospel, which is "good news."
This message is worth watching - please do.

Although I am not a dipensationalist, an observation is in order: dispensational christians are probably the most conservetive group of christians per group on the earth today. Nothing like fearing "missing the rapture" to keep you in line if you know what I mean. Amillinialists are far more represented in prysbeterian and anglican and etc. - in those denominations (in some cases) they ordain women to the pastorate, as well as homosexuals. You will never see that in any dispensational church. Finally, this guy is criticizing oldschool "classical dispensatioanlism". Most of the dispensational world holds to "progressive dispensationalism" - and most of his critiques are directed at a caricature that most modern dispensationalists themselves reject.

  • @toddmcrae3834

Dispensationalism has to do with how you interpret unfulfilled prophecy. There are 2800 prophecies in the scripture. When the canon of scripture was closed in 100AD, only about 2,500 of those prophecies had been fulfilled. So the question is: what do you do with those other 300 unfulfilled prophecies?
Dispensationalists take a literal view of unfulfilled scripture. That's the foundation of dispensationalism.
If you take a literal approach to prophecy, it leads to the next point which is a distinction between the Church and Israel. Why? Because the unfulfilled prophecies have to do with the Jews.

Agreed, and I will add that the above video is not a fair Biblical description of the premillennial dispensationalist view. For one thing the premillennial dispensationalist view did not begin in the 19th century. That is a flat out lie. I suggest the preacher read "Dispensationalism Before Darby." Also note that Paul is a dispensationalist and the OT has several dispensations.
To the Dear preacher in the video: are you avoiding the forbidden fruit in the garden? Are you building an Ark? Are you under the law of Moses? Are you working for your salvation? Are you preparing a kingdom on earth for Jesus? Answer yes to any of those and you are a heretic.
Paul makes at least four references to dispensations (divine administrations) in his letters:
      1 Corinthians 9:17
      Ephesians 1:10
      Ephesians 3:2
      Colossians 1:25
A Dispensation is also called an Age or Ages many times in the Bible.
In the Bible, a dispensation is the divine administration of a period of time, or a divinely appointed age. These ages are ordained by God to order the affairs of the world. Because they are found in the Bible I refer to them as Biblical dispensations.
There are eight distinct Biblical ages, time frames, or dispensations. Each of these Biblical dispensation have a beginning and an end.
      1. Innocence (Genesis 1:1-3:7),
      2. Conscience (Genesis 3:8-8:22),
      3. Human government (Genesis 9:1-11:32),
      4. Promise (Genesis 12:1-Exodus 19:25),
      5. Law (Exodus 20:1-Acts 2:4),
      6. Grace (Acts 2:4-Revelation 20:3), and
      7. Tribulation (Daniel 9:24-27; Revelation 11:2-7; Revelation 13:5-6; Matthew 24:15)
      8. Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6).
These Biblical dispensations are spans of time in which God relates to man in various ways. The above list results from the literal, grammatical, historical method of interpreting the Bible. With this method, meaning is extracted from scripture while seeking to understand the context. Symbols, times. places, and figures of speech are all interpreted plainly while respecting the immediate and remote contexts, which results in the clear Biblical distinction between: the elect of Israel (a.k.a. the Bride of Christ) and; another group of elect in God's divine plan known as the Body of Christ.
Incidentally it was this Biblical Method of interpreting the scriptures that helped me turn from a hardened Trinitarian to a Biblical Unitarian.
Language was given by God so He could communicate with mankind. He communicates with mankind today through His written word. The written word is God's universal revelation and it requires universal methods for interpreting it.
We know that every prophecy about Jesus in the Old Testament was fulfilled literally. Jesus' birth, ministry, death, and resurrection were all fulfilled literally, just as the Old Testament predicted. There are no non-literal fulfillment of prophecies in the New Testament, which is why the literal method is Biblical.
Without objective Biblical methods of interpretation, the meaning ceases to be objective and becomes subjective. The subjective method has people asking themselves, “what does this passage mean to me," rather than “What is the meaning the author intended to convey.”
The Bible teaches us that it was written for two distinct peoples of God: Israel (The Bride) and the Church (The Body). References to the Bride are found in Revelation. There are no references to the Body of Christ in Revelation.
The Bible teaches the Church has NOT replaced Israel in God’s plan, and the Old Testament promises to Israel have not been transferred to the Church. The promises God made to Israel for land, many descendants, and blessings are still to be fulfilled in the 1000-year period spoken of in Revelation chapter 20.
Biblical Dispensationalists believe God is focusing His attention on the church during this age of grace because the Jews rejected their promised kingdom before 70 A.D. God turned to Paul and gave him a Gospel containing a promise of citizenship in the eternal spiritual Kingdom of God in Heaven. Paul refers to this Gospel as "my Gospel" and Paul warns us not to accept any other Gospel even if it's preached by an angel. Galatians chapter 1. When Paul received his Gospel revelation the prophetic time clock stopped for Israel. This Age of Grace is a non-prophesied Age. Some people refer to this Age of Grace as a parenthesis or a time out from God's prophetic dealings with Israel.
At a future appointed time, God will once again focus His attention on Israel and the Gospel of the coming Kingdom will be preached once again for seven years, and then the Kingdom will be established.
      Summary
Biblical Dispensationalism is a method of interpreting the Bible that rises from the scriptures using the literal, grammatical, and historical (Biblical Method) of interpreting the Bible. It is not an extra Biblical theology that is blindly imposed on the scriptures such as the doctrine of the Trinity. The scriptures are not properly understood and cannot be rightly divided without an understanding of the Biblical Dispensations.
Biblical Dispensationalism recognizes the Bible is divided into different dispensations, a.k.a. ages and it results in a clear distinction between Israel and the Church.
Biblical Dispensationalism results in a premillennial interpretation of Christ’s second coming and a pretribulation interpretation of the rapture.
Questions to the preacher in the video:
      1. Are you under the dispensation of Law or Grace?
      2. Did Jesus or any of the Twelve Apostles teach a righteousness by faith apart from obedience to the law?
      3. Did the Gospel message Paul preached to Jews in Acts 9 change when Paul began preaching to both Jews and Gentiles in Acts 13?
      4. Where in the OT do you find the "Body of Christ" inherits a physical, political Kingdom on earth?

So you’re saying Jesus didn’t know he was here to die for our sins and that if only the Jews would have accepted him he wouldn’t have been Crucified? Of course he did know he was here to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. wouldn’t that make him a liar?
      Isaiah 53:5-8
      King James Version
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
      Mark KJV
“16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
This is right before he went to heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Clearly Gentiles are included and he wants them to hear his gospel. If you think he then went and told Paul to preach to Gentiles a different gospel You are twisting paul writings to your own destruction.

First, I just told you where: Galatians 3:8. The Gospel was preached "beforehand to Abraham". That you call me "dummy" but apparently don't understand that I answered your question is ironic. Galatians 3 and Romans 4 both say that Abraham was made right with God by believing in the "gospel in advance." You are totally wrong.
Second, you've spewed two hateful insults, violating the Lord Jesus' command of Matthew 5:22. According to Jesus, you are now liable to the hell of fire.
Third, you are teaching false doctrine, directly contradicting the Word of God and claiming that some people were saved by works. You are a heretic.
You should stop posting and examine yourself as to whether you are really "in the faith" (2 Cor. 13:5). Real Christians understand the gospel and don't slander and spew insults like you do.

But you do not deny it.
I agree that dispensationalism is very damaging to the Truth. SOOO many errors, and it has opened the door to many other doctrines of errors.
But the swing I see lately is for many disgruntled (but sincere) Christians who are swinging wide the other way by diving back into OT practices. I have seen true, born again converted friends of mine get sucked into this and it is frustrating. I almost did myself at one time.
BOTH of these extremes (HR and Dispensationalism) deny/take away the glorious finished work of Christ on the Cross. I take huge offense to anything that takes away from His Glory.

I really enjoy when he reads James 1:1 and how James literally states he is writing to the twelve tribes, and he then says thats not what it means and its to all Christians. No thanks sir, I will believe James meant the Jews because thats exactly what he said. Sir, he literally said to the scattered tribes. That is literally the Jews. And of course he brings up the next chapter of 2:1 to say "believers". Well hello, he is writing to Jewish believers. Do you think he is writing all of this down to the Jewish non-believers? Nowhere in this text does he state its for Jew and gentile, but it specifically states its for Jews. You put those in a blender and mixed them up to make you feel better.

I listened until the 15 minute mark. At around the 14 minute mark and for at least the next minute, a straw man was built. As a dispensationalist I DO NOT believe what was presented, nor am I aware of any other present dispensationalists that believe that nonsense. Perhaps there are some; there are always aberrant theologians out there. Anyway, one cannot create a ridiculous, unbiblical strawman, label it "dispensationalism," and then call dispensationalism a heresy. I would caution anyone watching this video to know that dispensationalism is NOT what is presented (at least at the time marks noted earlier). Therefore, this video is a waste of time for anyone actually interested in the topic. Sad.

What people miss is that since Darby, dispensationslism itself has been reformed.... in light of dsrbys mistakes... it's not a perfect theology. However it is far from heresy.

@johnp3081 God knows the beginning from the end and set in place provisional or probationary periods in which he brought man into the knowledge of God, and humans need for him.
That plan has not changed. The divisions in dispensationalism are simply those periods... God made the plan and as we mature in our understanding, God speak to us through these different segments.
While dispensationalism does have a few cracks, God doesn't change nor his plan.. we do.. so if you do not understand this theology, you need to look deeper... instead of condeming it.
People use to think earth was the center of the universe, but now our knowledge has increased and we know better... the center of the universe never changed.

I think this sermon is a great disservice to the truth. It is a fact there are different dispensations in the Bible. Paul uses the word (in greek of course).
We can discuss what the different dispensations may be, but to just say there are none and that the concept of different dispensations is destroying God’s plan is just plain silly.

A key tenant of dispensationalism. Is the rebuilding of the temple of the return to animal sacrifice. That would be the single most blasphemous event in the history of the world. It is saying in effect that Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross was insufficient! God forbid! This tracks with Charles Nelson Darby’s belief that Christ died on the cross for his own sin. That belief goes beyond apostasy into enemy of God. Reject dispensationalism.

I have heard some speculate that the Church will fail in its mandate to fulfill the Great Commission, which is much different than saying “the Gospel will fail.” The reason for this speculation is that each dispensation ends in a fall or failure. I personally feel that is a forced tail wagging the dog argument. Not all characteristics of previous dispensations are repeated in successive dispensations.

Who can tell me what "Dispensation" means? Who can tell me why God put it in His Word that will endure "FOREVER"! "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."! Matthew 24:35
1Co 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Eph 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
    Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
All Christians have to say with Paul... "Whereof I am made a minister, according to the DISPENSATION of God which is given to me for you, to "FULFIL" the word of God;"
Are you going to deny your Christian calling to preach to the world the DISPENSATIONS OF GOD??? Are you going to "RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH TO MAKE IT UNDERSTANDABLE TO ALL????

      Amen Brother!
Jesus said, as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness so must the Son of Man be lifted up... Any who looked at that serpent on the pole would be saved from the snake bite. In like manner whoever will receive the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for their sins will receive eternal life! You can't lose it for it is not dependant on you just as it was not dependant on those bitten to get well after they looked on the serpent on the pole! this is called JUSTIFICATION... just as if I had never sinned. Now we are being SANCTIFIED by the Holy Spirit working in our life so we learn to follow the ways of Jesus. This we will not do perfectly but we will receive a reward for what we do for Christ. On the day of our GLORIFICATION, we will be rewarded with gold, silver, and precious stones or wood, hay, and stubble these will be passed through fire and what remains is what we will have for following in obedience to Gods word. We will remain with our Lord in heaven forever.

I had to listen for a while. As a serious student of Classical Dispensational Premillennialism, I am aware of the points of contention and the arguments for and against. I had hoped to hear well presented points to challenge my thoughts, instead I only heard accusation. I believe you made a mistake in going down this road so emotionally charged especially with time restraints, but you also failed by assigning such biased wording in your accusations against Dispensational beliefs. If you feel you can present better scriptural evidence and make a better arrangement for Covenant Theology than challenge the most competent Dispensationalist you can find to a structured debate, where thoughts can be presented, judged, and challenged. This was once and could be again, a great tool of learning.

Charles, I'm answering on behalf of John who hasn't seen this comment. I think the intent of the message was to highlight the unintentional consequences of this doctrine on the prayer life of a christian who believes it. Your points are reasonable, and the type of consideration you mention is something John has done elsewhere, but not online. In that case it seems to me to be really a battle for why a certain hermeneutic is correct for the literature, and John has several times talked about the use of metaphor and figurative language in scripture elsewhere on youtube.
Its great to have someone like yourself who looks to challenge their beliefs and makes genuine constructive and non judgemental comments as you seem to have done here.
I think the main point that ought to be taken from this video is that faith is a non tangible thing, and prayer can look the same externally either with or without it. But when the underlying conviction of a believer is that the world is going to get worse because Jesus is coming soon, its very hard to have the type of faith that really changes a situation.
This message is really a message about prayer and faith in an eschatalogical disguise.

@Proud Deplorable What you have to remember is that the trouble with 2 Timothy 2:15 is that the apostle Paul is speaking here of the Gospel, which at the time of his writing had not been written, let alone compiled into the New Testament. Paul therefore is speaking of the word of God that is heard through preaching. Dividing the word actually means imparting the word, or handling God’s word. In other words, be faithful in communicating the word of God. It doesn't mean literally 'dividing' the word and using nothing prior to the death of Christ. They tell you to worship Christ but not to listen to any of his teachings or follow his commands. Completely crazy at best, dangerous at worst because Darby and Scofield's followers are being deceived.

    • @candyclews4047
      @candyclews4047 4 года назад +1

@Domagoj Golubić It's not about commentary. It's about translation from the Greek & Hebrew. 2 Timothy 2:15 correctly translated means 'rightly handling the Word of God" - which means faithfully giving it to the people. Scofield changed the word 'handling' to 'dividing' which not only has a whole different meaning but it went on to create dispensationalism. Now 180 years later, millions think the Bible needs to be divided into dispensations. They worship Christ but don't follow his teachings or those of the 4 Gospels (because they occurred before the crucifixion, before what they say is the Church Age). For over 1,800 years the Bible said 'handling' and despite Deuteronomy 4 telling us never to change the inspired Word of God, Scofield did so.

@ Peace Apostolic Ministries. If you want to truly represent your Channel's name sake you are going about it all wrong. Attacking an absolute Biblical doctrine like dispensationalism is not how you go about pursuing peace. Are you under a command not to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil? Are you building an Ark? Are you saved by circumcision and keeping the law of Moses? Are you living in the tribulation and saved by rejecting the mark? The only Gospel that saves in this Age of Grace is Paul's Gospel, and you better accept it and understand it, otherwise Paul says you have believed in vain.

@Johan Strydom Biblical Dispensationalism is absolutely Biblical and it has nothing to do with any 19th century doctrine. You are making stuff up or repeating someone else's unbiblical trash talk.
There are four references to dispensations in the Bible:
      1 Corinthians 9:17
      Ephesians 1:10
      Ephesians 3:2
      Colossians 1:25
In the Bible, a dispensation is the divine administration of a period of time, or a divinely appointed age. These ages are ordained by God to order the affairs of the world. Because they are found in the Bible they are referred to as Biblical dispensations.
      There are eight Biblical dispensations:
      1. Innocence (Genesis 1:1-3:7),
      2. Conscience (Genesis 3:8-8:22),
      3. Human government (Genesis 9:1-11:32),
      4. Promise (Genesis 12:1-Exodus 19:25),
      5. Law (Exodus 20:1-Acts 2:4),
      6. Grace (Acts 2:4-Revelation 20:3), and
      7. Tribulation (Daniel 9:24-27; Revelation 11:2-7; Revelation 13:5-6; Matthew 24:15)
      8. Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6).
Do you deny these ages or dispensations are in the Bible? Then you are a heretic.
These Biblical dispensations are spans of time in which God relates to man in various ways. The above list results from the literal, grammatical, historical method of interpreting the Bible. With this method, meaning is extracted from scripture while seeking to understand the context. Symbols, times. places, and figures of speech are all interpreted plainly in this method which results in the clear Biblical distinction between Israel and the church in God's divine plan.
Language was given by God for the purpose of Him to communicate with mankind. God communicates with mankind through His written word. The written word is God's universal revelation to mankind and requires universal methods of interpreting it. We know that every prophecy about Jesus in the Old Testament was fulfilled literally. Jesus' birth, ministry, death, and resurrection were all fulfilled literally, just as the Old Testament predicted. There are no non-literal fulfillment's of prophecies in the New Testament, which is why the literal method is Biblical.
Without objective Biblical methods of interpretation the meaning ceases to be universal and becomes subjective. The subjective method has people asking themselves, “what does this passage mean to me," rather than “What is the meaning the author intended to convey.”
The Bible teaches us that it was written for two distinct peoples of God: Israel and the Church. Dispensationalists believe that salvation has always been by faith-in God in the Old Testament and in God and His Son in the New Testament. (John 14:1; John 17:3; John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Biblical Dispensationalists believe God is focusing His attention on the church during this age of grace, and He will once again focus His attention on Israel in the future. (Romans 9-11).
      Summary
Biblical Dispensationalism is a theological system that results from a literal, grammatical, and historical interpretation of the Bible. Biblical Dispensationalism makes a clear distinction between Israel and the church and recognizes the Bible is divided into different dispensations, a.k.a. ages.
Biblical Dispensationalism results in a premillennial interpretation of Christ’s second coming and a pretribulation interpretation of the rapture (instantaneous departure of believers from the earth).

The fact that Israel has held out so long does make me think that God is trying to bring them back into the fold, but it could just be a matter of patience. He wants Jews to completely accept Jesus instead of them continuing to turn their backs on him. It could be he gave them a chance again for a while, but if they still reject them he'll allow them to be dispersed again and then he'll try again in the future. (Obviously God knows what will happen, but I don't believe in the idea that everything is predetermined like Calvanists believe.)
My biggest issue is I have with this video is that I havs never heard about the idea of Gentiles being "God's Plan B". Or that God promised the Jews "the entire world". It was always the idea that Israel was chosen as the figurehead to bless the entire world. This is the first time I have ever heard anyone discussing dispensialism ever bring that idea up.
Even when I did believe pretrib Rapture and we're in the end times, the idea was always that Israel would still be apostate until they came to Christ. The end times teachings just suggested that the prophecies being future means there must be a future temple. It wouldn't be a real temple of God, but it would exist.

The person in the video is misrepresenting the truth. Romans chapter 11 refutes the notion that the Church is Israel and heirs to all the promises of land and an earthly kingdom. The Church is made up of mostly Gentiles and a remnant of Jews and it's inheritance is in heaven as glorified beings. God will turn back to the natural branches during the tribulation after the Church is removed. The tribulation is called the time of Jacob's trouble by Daniel because it involves the Jews being converted to Christ and then evangelizing the rest of the world. The Gospel Preached during the tribulation if NOT Paul's Gospel.Once the Church is removed the Gospel of the kingdom is preached again, and it it a gospel of faith plus works.

I have studied the Bible and reviewed my beliefs hundreds of times. As far as your position goes, You have revealed where you are coming from. You don't need to say another word because I KNOW ALL YOUR ARGUMENTS and I KNOW YOU IGNORE ALL TH|E SCRIPTURES that refute your arguments because if you did not ignore them you would not still be believing the heresy you believe.
Blindness in part has come to the Jews until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.
Then what happens? See....you have no clue what happens because your teachers are ignorant.
You ignore Paul's words and you ignore the OT prophecies. God is not done with his first elect.
The church has been grafted in. That does not mean we replace Israel. The tribulation is the time of Jacobs trouble. It refers to the Jews. The Church will be raptured before the tribulation. It has to be, do you know why? Because there is a different Gospel that will be preached during the tribulation and it includes works. That means the age of Grace and Paul's Gospel will no longer be preached during the tribulation. Saved Christians can't be here for that reason.

Jeremiah 3:8 (ASV) And I saw, when, for this very cause that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorcement, yet treacherous Judah her sister feared not; but she also went and played the harlot.
Yes, really. Better read it again.
Romans: 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21
Jesus is the vine. Israel was broken off the vine. Christians were grafted in.
God doesn't divorce and remarry the divorced spouse:
3 and if the latter husband [b]turns against her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her to be his wife, 4 then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her again to be his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the Lord, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance.
Israel is the defiled, divorced harlot. She is broken off from the vine. Taking her back would be an abomination. That's the Bible. From, I would add, one of those prophets I "didn't read."
Somebody did tell Paul: Christ did, through the spirit and the book of Jeremiah.
Please stop apologizing for US military strategy. It is evil. You do realize that the Bible says that militarism is evil over and over again in the New Testament?

Read on my friend. Why stop at verse 8 and build a doctrine with a verse wrenched out of context? See kid....this is the difference between a know it all punk that reads a few verses and listens to a few false teachers vs. someone who has spent their entire life studying the scriptures. I told you that I know your arguments before you even leave the starting gate and I told you you are WRONG. Now you made yourself look like a complete FOOL.

'I will not remain angry forever.
      Only acknowledge your iniquity,
That you have transgressed against the LORD your God,
      And have scattered your charms
To alien deities under every green tree,
And you have not obeyed My voice,' says the LORD.
      Return, O backsliding children,' says the LORD;
*_'for I am married to you._*
I will take you, one from a city and two from a family,
and I will bring you to Zion.
And I will give you shepherds according to My heart,
who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased
in the land in those days,' says the LORD,
"that they will say no more, 'The ark of the covenant of the LORD.'
It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it,
nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.
At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD,
and all the nations shall be gathered to it,
to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem.
No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. (Jeremiah. 3: 12-17)
In case you quote Jeremiah 3:13 out of context I'll add:
"In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers." (Jeremiah 3:18)
You forget the covenant with Abraham is unconditional. If God actually divorced his people he would be violating his own covenant and word. If God actually divorced Israel, then what is stopping him from divorcing the NT church?
If God divorced his people, he would not be the faithful and true God.
      God is a Faithful God
The Holy One of Israel is an omniscient God -- knowing beforehand the transgressions and backslidings of His people.
God is a God of forgiveness and mercy.
Your view denies these attributes and his unconditional covenant. You violate so many divine principle characteristics of God that it screams demonic pal.
I could go on and on showing you that you have been hoodwinked by false teachers teaching doctrines of demons.....but I doubt you would listen.
      Have a nice day.

@@lindenhouseeditingservices5236 In addition to my previous comment:
In Jeremiah 3, we are told of a time when YHWH's people will weep as they turn from their sin. (Jeremiah. 3:21) and of a time when they will acknowledge that, "Truly, in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel." (Jer. 3:23)
The following prophetic words of YHWH's perfect love end the very chapter of Jeremiah 3, that you quoted that verse 8 from.
"A voice was heard on the desolate heights,
Weeping and supplications of the children of Israel.
      For they have perverted their way;
They have forgotten the LORD their God.
      'Return, you backsliding children,
And I will heal your backslidings.'
'Indeed we do come to You,
For You are the LORD our God.
Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills,
      And from the multitude of mountains;
Truly, in the LORD our God
      Is the salvation of Israel.
      For shame has devoured
The labor of our fathers from our youth--
      Their flocks and their herds,
      Their sons and their daughters.
We lie down in our shame,
      And our reproach covers us.
For we have sinned against the LORD our God,
      We and our fathers,
From our youth even to this day,
And have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God." (Jer. 3, 21-25)
If God truly "divorced" His children in Jeremiah 3, why would the prophet conclude it with a divine prophecy announcing their ultimate repentance and redemption?
One more final thought. Israel in the OT is not the church of the NT. Applying that kind of thinking to the Bible destroys the context and tosses to the wind all the objective standards for interpreting the word of God, that just so happen to come from the word of God itself. That's right....the methods of interpreting the Bible and rightly dividing it are found in the Bible. The reading comprehension skills you learned in public schools and universities are insufficient for interpreting the Bible. I see highly educated people make fools of themselves all the time...because they cannot comprehend what they read.

This John Alley spoke of western achievements such as, science, medicine, art, evangelism, culture, etc. These were achieved by a population of mostly white people which is the elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about. When a nation turns its back on God, as the west has, one way God judges that nation (people) is to invade it with foreigners. The west is under the judgement of God and foreign people are invading them. Immigration is an invasion and judgement against the west. It is incredible to me to see the ignorance of the church to see the obvious. It's not happening with guns, but the result is the same, namely, the destruction and replacement of a people. Do you think America is being flooded with fresh godly people of the kind who came to America from Europe 100 years ago? Immigrants in the past were white Christians who were bred in a Christian culture. This is not what is happening today. We are importing non-western pagans by the millions.

Frankly, he pins too much on Dispensationalism. It has serious flaws, but that’s not where the battle should be fought. Besides, his description of Dispensationalism sounds exactly like the Classic or traditional form, and maybe even some exponents of its Revised or Modified form. BUT, it’s definitely not Progressive Dispensationalism. Here’s what I mean:
There are 3x flavors of Dispensationalism in the following chronological order:
    1) Classic or Traditional Dispensationalism
    (Darby, Scofield, Lewis Sperry Chafer)
    2) Revised or Modified Dispensationalism
(Ryrie, Walvoord, & J Dwight Pentecost)
    3) The current form is Progressive Dispensationalism as advocated by the late Robert Saucy and scholars Darrell Bock & Craig Blaising.
Therefore, here are some Important Observations:
First, In the academy today, not one respected Dispensationalism scholar that I’m familiar with holds to either the first two flavors. They are all advocates of #3.
Second, it’s the Classic or Traditional flavor of Dispensationalism that held to two separate plans of redemption for the Church & Israel.
Third, the primary doctrinal problems in the West have little to do with either of these flavors of Dispensationalism, but with Liberalism. For more on that, read J. Gresham Machen’s magisterial work titled, Christianity & Liberalism.
Fourth, our current targets must be those pastors & scholars who deny classical/Nicene Trinitarianism, historical Adam & Eve & subsequent fall, embrace theistic evolution, deny the unity between the testaments (unhitch from the OT like Andy Stanley) and others. Other problem pastors and doctrines are those associated with men like Andy Stanley, NT Wright, Greg Boyd, Peter Enns, etc...
Now I totally agree that Dispensationalism commits its fair share of exegetical and biblical-theological errors. But don’t attribute the whole nest to them. The West was in decline long before Darby and his ilk came on the scene in the mid-1800s. An intellectually honest argument starts with The Age of Enlightenment, Germany’s Higher Criticism movement, & Fredrich Schleiermacher, but one could argue that the West started to decline during The Renaissance period.

Pretty sure, Amillennialism did that by believing that we have to create the kingdom here and now on the earth.

Believers are not much different than the unsaved. We choose to beat on each other rather than sitting down with each other and looking at what the bible actually states and work out our differences with the love of Christ that we all claim we have. Quite frankly, I am quite disgusted with how we treat each other in regard to differences in theology. Bottom line is, most believers would rather throw rocks at each other than to examine their own beliefs and ask the question why do I believe this. Dispensationalism is not the problem, not rightly dividing the word is the core problem.

"If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book." Rev. 22:18. The church is dying with plagues from all this abuse of the Word of God, and adding to the book of Revelation.

You mean like when people add to the book by saying the 144,000 are not Jews of the 12 tribes, despite revelation clearly saying they are from the 12 tribes of Israel?

@@ExperienceEric Read what Paul and even Jesus had to say about who are real Jews and who are not.

@@churchmythbusters1863 What did Paul say about when when the fulness of the Gentiles has come in? What did Jesus say about when the times of the Gentiles is completed?

@@churchmythbusters1863 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that ****blindness in part is happened to Israel**** until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Rom 11:25
      Israel = Israel
      Gentiles = Church
The church is not the one under spiritual blindness right now, Israel is.

So true . And all the predictions made about the "antichrist" , dates , signs ..all this verges on divination. What a curse we bring upon us !
