I was raised to believe in dispensational premillenialism and studied it deeply for years. I am so grateful that God opened my heart to the eschatology of hope. It has changed everything for me. Thank you for this teaching.

@@audreythomas9028 Dispensationalists do not recognize the fact that God wiped Israel off the map.
"Therefore night will come over you without visions, and darkness without divination. The sun will set on these prophets, and the daylight will turn black over them.
Then the seers will be ashamed and the diviners will be disgraced. They will all cover their mouths because there is no answer from God.
As for me, however, I am filled with power by the Spirit of the LORD, with justice and courage, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.
Now hear this, O leaders of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, who despise justice and pervert all that is right, who build Zion with bloodshed and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets practice divination for money.
Yet they lean upon the LORD, saying, “is not the LORD among us? No disaster can come upon us."
Therefore, because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, and the temple mount a wooded ridge." Micah 3:6-12.
"Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I TELL YOU THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD WILL BE TAKEN WAY FROM YOU and given to a people who will produce its fruit." Matthew 21:42-43.
"In speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear." Hebrews 8:13.
The Devil has worked through Dispensationalists. The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. was because Israel rejected Jesus Christ. However that punishment is somehow transferred into the future to the present and those Scriptures that depict Israel's punishment are now directed at the entire world, except for the Christians who will supposedly be raptured.

You live under the glass dome and the sun and moon pierce each other and create a eclipse and it happens every month and it controls the calendar of the Bible. If you look around you - you will see buildings sunken in the mud which is 2 floods either Noah or Revelation. They changed everything and altered all things, they want to go to hell and take us all to hell with them, there are many missing books from the Bible these people rule us right to hell with them, same as Micah 4:2 says everyone keeps the sabbath and feasts but again everyone wants to argue this or that but Revelation is clear 3 times we are told to keep the commandments and believe. Same as letter J and this name we pray to is other than SATAN! God = SATAN
Nasa = deceive because we live under the glass dome so that proves all history is a lie same when this man says Israel = ISIS + RA + EL = devils and deityes
      LORD = BAAL
it can be all proven once studying to show your self approved, same as that round is not even Israel or Jerasulem all the men women and there kids that rule us are actors and created everything fake to keep us from getting to the most high - madness I tell you, I have pictures of Jerusalem in St Louis MO that building was everywhere just like Christmas is pagan holiday and the Bible is clear dont do it, 10 tribes was said to go to a land called Arzareth in the missing scriptures, those missing books tells you how to keep time based on the Bible as well, same as this country fake america its all fake Statue of Liberty is a witch and she was everywhere -

Historicism is the only way to fully understand the Bible. Much of prophecies has been completed, and we now stand by the very end of the 6th vial to the beginning of the 7th vial of the wrath of God. Try to watch David Nikao Wilcoxson and BretNorman readings on “The Divine Programme of World’s History” by Albert Close. You can actually download this book PDF. Your observation makes sense and this is because Preterism was adopted by German Rationalists in the 1800s and made its way from there into mainstream Christian teaching. Atheism and Preterism are a neat fit because there is no need to deal with any future prophecy as its all in the past, done and dusted. Futurism is not too far from this general concept of nothing for today as it goes to the opposite extreme and places the whole thing in the future and of course they always get it wrong .
If you are interested I cover the history of the whole thing here and you will see why why Preterism is appealing: ruclips.net/video/mYE9SiQc1yA/видео.html

Being born and raised in South Africa I wasn't taught about pre-trib rapture. I only found out about it in the last year! I thought at the time that my dear mother wasn't schooled "in proper doctrine" because she didn't know about it.. what a foolish woman I was! My mother's prayers stood in the gap for me during my backsliding years. Thank you Heavenly Father for the blessing which was my mother. I look forward to seeing her beautiful face again! So, online I discovered dispensationalism, pre-trib rapture, etc. But shortly after I was led back to Truth. With all that's happening (it's all so in-your-face) regarding Israel and Zionism, I saw through the lie. I was looking for a link I could post to family when this particular post was revealed. Thank you! So the big question.. with no temple, how do the Jews today call themselves Jews without their ritual sacrifices on proclaimed holy days?
Regarding evangelising.. Singapore is truly being evangelised. Praise His Name

Thank God for leading you back to truth. I am from South Africa as well but live in New Zealand now. Was brought up Christian but struggled to believe and was an atheist for many years. I actually came to the truth of the Bible by watching some good documentaries and then some preaching debunking dispensationalism and pre-trib rapture and something just clicked and I knew this was the truth I have been waiting to hear all along. True, we are hardly taught these doctrines in South African churches. Nowadays people just teach broad messages of loving and forgiving people but hardly these real meaty doctrines. Though it is evident that the message of dispensationalism has seeped into South African preaching as well tho when you see how many people support Zionism and think that is their biblical duty. It was seeing through this deception that brought me to faith. Praise God!

(Matthew 24 is aimed at the Jews, so it just mentions the "abomination that causes desolation." Luke is to the Gentiles, and so it declares it more clearly: "When armies surround the city")
The Rapture happens when Jesus comes back at the end. And that is simply "we'll meet Christ in the air as he arrives", we're not being taken off the earth specifically. Heaven comes down to Earth.

It sounds incredible to me that almost no one takes a parallel reference from the old testament, when it comes to Jesus' quote about the great tribulation, in which he says that such tribulation has not happened until that time, nor will it ever happen again, and it is precisely about the time of destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
    Here is the text:
    Ezekiel 5:8-10 (KJV)
8Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations. 9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations. 10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee I will scatter into all the winds.

    Deuteronomy:
“And all these maledictions will certainly come upon you and pursue you and overtake you until you have been annihilated because you did not listen to the voice of YHVH your God by keeping his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you. And they must continue on you and your offspring as a sign and a portent to time indefinite due to the fact that you did not serve YHVH your God with rejoicing and joy of heart for the abundance of everything. And you will have to serve your enemies whom YHVH will send against you with hunger and thirst and nakedness and the want of everything; and he will certainly put an iron yoke upon your neck until he has annihilated you.
“YHVH will raise up against you a nation far away, from the end of the earth, just as an eagle pounces, a nation whose tongue you will not understand a nation fierce in countenance who will not be partial to an old man or show favour to a young man. And they will certainly eat the fruit of your domestic animals and the fruitage of your ground until you have been annihilated, and they will let no grain, new wine or oil, no young of your cattle or progeny of your flock, remain for you until they have destroyed you. And they will indeed besiege you within all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you are trusting fall in all your land, yes, they will certainly besiege you within all your gates in all your land, which YHVH your God has given you. Then you will have to eat the fruit of your belly, the flesh of your sons and your daughters, whom YHVH your God has given you, because of the tightness and stress with which your enemy will hem you in. Sorry didn't finish scofield completely messes with John and Jesus's confrontation with the Pharisees. Scofield writes that Jesus is comparing the if they were true sons of Abraham meaning he was comparing them with natural sons. He even goes so far as to mention Ishmael. Jesus was doing no such thing he was saying the were Satan's sons. "The Father of lies....". The end scheme was to say the Abrahamic covenant hadn't been fullfilled so we would give the land
back to Isreal. This was set up because Islamic believe that Mohammed descended from Ishmael. They became the robbers who wanted to steal the land in Jesus's Vineyard parable. It becomes even more plain in Leviticus when God says that the land is His they are just sojourners (KJB) with him. (Other Bibles say tenants).

I think what is important to recognize about the preterist perspective, is that although these events were fulfilled in the past, they followed Gods judgment in the OT as well. One little thing I've learnt is that the Bible is a book entirely on its own. Since it is the revelation of God and his dealings with man it is not backed up by external sources. It is its own source and interpreter. Therefore we don't need history for Matthew 24 to make sense. What about people who have no access to secular history? Matthew 24 must therefore be able to stand without history otherwise the bible is not a revelation but a record of events....even if those events were predicted.

Full preterism is obviously false, because we still need the second resurrection and final coming of Christ. I'm not even convinced preterism is true, just that Matthew 24, Daniel 9, and Luke 21 specifically were fulfilled. The rest of Revelation could still be future.
In any case, what's missing is "after the 1000 years." People say "but how can Satan be bound?" He's bound in the sense that the Gospel is now capable of reaching the nations of the world, whereas before Christ's coming all but Israel were extremely wicked.
@@chad969 Personally I don't think there was a bodily resurrection yet. It was a spiritual resurrection, the bodily resurrection happens at the very end of all things. And 1 Thessalonians will happen then as well.
I guess in theory they could have had a bodily resurrection into Heaven, but I've always seen Heaven being specifically a spiritual thing only. After the first resurrection, those who die go straight to Heaven instead of "Abraham's Busom" (I guess Sheol could be another term for this).

God then rebuilt the third temple in us, the believers, for we are now His temple.
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16
The land covenant is now with us Christians, the New Israel. We have been given the whole world, so our work can cause it to be covered with God’s glory and love.
“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'” Mark 16:15
The slaughter of the ancient Hebrews, along with the downfall of Jerusalem and the Old Temple in 70 A.D., was God’s way of releasing Himself from His marriage to them via the Old Covenant, thus legally permitting His marriage to the whole world via the New.
As per the law, God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable (Romans 11: 28-31). So God had to irrevocably kill all the remaining non-Christian Hebrews, otherwise he would have had to keep the Old Covenant alive, and thereby undercut and undermine His Son’s New Covenant.
God does not have both the Old and the New Covenants being enforced at the same time. He only has one. The New. And contrary to what many would have you believe, He’s not married to His bride, the Church Assembly, on the one hand while having an affair with his mistress, the modern state of Israel, on the other.
Modern-day Israel is comprised of converted Jews, and not of Hebrews with whom God had the Old Covenant; therefore it is a state that has nothing to do with God’s word in the Bible.
“By calling this covenant ‘new,’ he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete is outdated.” Hebrews 8:13
When Christ returns to end the world, it will be like a great harvest. This is how Jesus described it:
“…at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.’ ” Matthew 13:30
The tares will be gathered first. Not the Saints.
“Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17
“We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed - in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15: 21,22
Then Christ will start everything over, and His redeemed will receive their inheritance.
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away.” Revelation 21:1
“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

No dual fulfillment needed. The Last Days of the old covenant era was irrevocably ended at 70 AD. The Last Day (singular) of all time will be at the Resurrection.
"The coming of the Lord" is used loads of time in the scriptures to describe a moment of judgement brought to the earth in history for a specific purpose. In 70 AD, Christ came in judgement on Jerusalem just as he promised, "This generation will not see death until ALL if these things have been fulfilled." it can not be any clearer.

@@williambrewer Indeed, Christ is going to return in the future. But this is not "Futurism" as an Eschatological system.
Futurism, as an Eschatological school of thought (Dispensational or otherwise) is the belief that the majority of the events of the book of Revelation are still to take place in the Future. Futurism actually gets its name, specifically with regards to the identity of the Antichrist.
So, Preterism states that the majority of the events of the book of Revelation took place in the distant past: either by the events surrounding the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., or, by the fall of the Roman Empire in the 5th century A.D., and that the Antichrist is to be found in either Caesar Nero, or the subsequent Roman Emperors leading up to the fall of the Roman Empire.
Neither one of these systems, Futurism or Preterism, were what the Reformers taught concerning the proper interpretation of the Apocalyptic books of Daniel and Revelation.
The Reformers were HISTORICISTS. They were NOT Preterists, nor Futurists.
In fact, in order to combat the Historicism of the Reformation theologians, two different Spanish Jesuits first systematized the Preterist and Futurist schools of prophetic thought respectively.
Luis de Alcasar (S.J., "Society of Jesus"; aka. "Jesuits") systematized the Preterist school of prophetic thought.
Francisco Ribera (S.J.) first systematized the Futurist school (Ribera's Futurist system was later taken up by one of the chief defenders of Roman Papalism over and agains the Reformation: Robert Bellarmine, S.J.).
But the Historicism of the Reformers, and post-Reformation theologians, were well aware of the deceitful nature of Preterism and Futurism, and fought against it in their writings.
Sad to see professing Bible-believing Christians defending either one of these false schools of prophetic thought.
I, myself, believe the Reformers were correct in their interpretation, and that the Jesuits' goal was to steer the minds of men from perceiving the truth of Bible prophecy.
There is much more involved in the question of Bible prophecy than just the 2nd Advent of Christ (although that is most certainly a huge part of it).
There is the issue of the Antichrist, as well as the "false prophet," and the proper identity of these two entities, and what they intend to do, and how Christians are to be prepared to combat them.

90% of revelation was fulfilled by 70AD. The start of the book says the events were "just about to happen", 2-6 years later, it did. This makes no sense to say that to the people in the first century if all the events would happen 1000s of years in the future. Jesus says this in John 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." Peter enlarged on this in Acts 2:38, 39. I personall, fasted for 4 days after being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and when I went to church the Lord said to me "Get up and have these 2 men lay hands on you and pray for you I am going to give you the Holy Ghost." They prayed for me and I began to speak in a heavenly language that I couldn't understand. Jesus said “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth.” When someone tells you that all you have to do is say "I accept Jesus as my personal savior," he is wrong it doesn't work that way. Look at all the examples of conversion in the book of Acts chapters 2, 8, 10, and 19. I once ran into a man that repented on his death bed and God raised him up and gave him the opportunity to be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Search the Bible for "all" and "every" and you will figure it out. KISS principle: my Savior in 24:34 made a promise; He either failed or didn't. IF, He is the Son of God, in fact God himself; The Prophet, and didn't, He was a false prophet, a false Savior, and a liar and deceiver. But, alas, He kept it and can be trusted to keep them all.

"The present life of the Christians is therefore lived in reference to the Future glory.
The thought of the Apostles does not begin with the present and pass on to the eschatology as a kind of further stage.
It begins with eschatology, intent upon the coming Parousia; and then it perceives that the eschatology is being anticipated in the here and now, and that the glory of the Parousia seems to throw its light backwards upon the present life of the church ".
The Glory of God and the Transfiguration of Christ by A. M. Ramsey pg 51.
Perhaps, he should have titled the book. The real shockwaves of Armageddon.
The artwork, to the left, where my mug should be, is a collage I built during the days of joy, poetry and music even in the midst of political crisis and national upheaval (2016). I painted it on the 6x6 sheetrock above the fireplace in my living room. Such a Joy! See Psalm 107:23 - 43.
Amazing what you can do with lighting but what about the light that shines in the face of Jesus Christ?
I sense a return to Joy even in the midst of peril and decline.
    How about you?
Just because the Volcanic Eruption of Apostolic Truths that flowed down to us has been cooled off and solidified by the pursuit of prosperity and the material wealth that is ours as a natural gospel benefit. It does not mean that it cannot bubble up again and a Pyroclastic Cloud of Love and Joy can sweep us away into the light of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Was it not the strange mixture of love/joy and fear/dread that captured the first lady witnesses to the resurrection and then spread to the other Apostles and from there onward into the world.
To be spent on your job, love your wife and enjoy your family all the while being swept along as a witness to His Glorious Victory in Christ Jesus is a real life that can be filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
    Alleluia Amen!
Thanks for all the work you do.

And just another tidbit of trivia... there are nine hills in Rome. One hill was the cemetery and never included when the Latins counted the hills. To include the hill in the count was considered bad manners.

Lon W. The relevance of AD 70 over any other "destruction" of Jerusalem involves covenant. The kingdom was taken from the rulers of OC Israel only once and only once was it handed to another people. Jesus told those first century rulers, "Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation." (Mt. 23:36) That generation, called a "harlot" and "mystery Babylon" by John, was judged in AD 70.
The Old Covenant age passed away, we live under the New Covenant in the eternal kingdom of our Lord. Praise God for keeping His promises and for dwelling with us forever. We are a holy nation, a royal priesthood offering up spiritual sacrifices, living stones of the temple with Jesus our Chief Cornerstone. We have everything we need for life and godliness. We are new creations, old things have passed away, behold all things are new! Happy Easter!

    • @lonw.7016

I think that "time" does not pass the same in heaven. We won't age I am thinking. It is complicated yet today "is" Easter during the year 2017-0115 hours. Yet if someone is in Australia, yesterday "was" Easter. The 2017 years that have passed are not even noticed in heaven. Because of the time difference.

    • @promisesrkept
      @promisesrkept 7 лет назад

Lon W. I agree that heaven is outside of time and space. However, when God communicated the imminence of the end of the age consistently throughout the NT He was speaking to those on earth who are bound by time and space. In other words, when Peter wrote, "The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer" (1 Pet. 4:7), his audience could have complete confidence that the end was near. One can't simply ignore the time statements by saying time means nothing in heaven. Time certainly had meaning for the writers and their audiences.

    • @timoxe
      @timoxe 4 года назад

Not sure if Heaven is actually outside space and time. We don't really know where Heaven is maybe an untouched place in the universe. Heaven seems to be tied to a City called New Jerusalem. Heaven probably isn't going to be what we think. I could care less about gold and rare stones. Now a City full of tech across the universe now that's a Jerusalem I can get behind. 😊

I agree that the Olivet Discourse in all three gospels was fulfilled. The thing I can't quite reckon is that I read the ante-Nicene church fathers (they wrote between 100-200 AD) and Irenaeus, Justin Martyr and Hippolytus all wrote about a coming antichrist. If Nero was it, they would have known. Irenaeus was a disciple of Polycarp who was a disciple of John. If Nero had been the antichrist, Polycarp would have known and so would Irenaeus. Hippolytus wrote a work called "A Treatise on Christ and Antichrist" and he was fully under the impression than an antichrist was coming that would mimic Jesus at first and he believed that this is why people would follow after him.
I also wish this guy would have explained Matthew 24:29-34 on. Is he saying all of that happened too?
---------- > “Immediately after the distress of those days
    “‘the sun will be darkened,
    and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
    -------------------
Did the sun darken? Did the moon not give it's light? How did the stars fall from the sky? When did the sign of the son of man appear in heaven? Did Jesus come with his cloud of angels and collect his elect from the four winds yet? I have heard many times that the 70 AD destruction fulfilled so many things in the Olivet Discourse, but evveryone always stops making comparisons at vs 29 because it would seem that those things are not fulfilled yet.
