@@GoreBruce I can't wait for that series! Just out of curiosity are you a full preterist or a partial preterist? I ask because I'm very much convinced at least of the partial preterist position that the events take place in AD 70. But I have a hard time understanding the resurrection occuring in AD 70. Yet at the same time I don't see how I could say some events have taken place and yet more are for the future.
I am persuaded that the Olivet Discourse and the book of Revelation describe events that largely took place in the first century. I also affirm, with the classical creeds of the church, that Jesus 'sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from whence He will come to judge the quick and the dead.' Thanks for the question.

Very interesting I have been experiencing the same thing . I have tried to fit in but I always get beat up . I still try to stay involved and just keep my mouth shut, but some times that causes a worse problem. I like the worship and the friends, most don't know squat about theology but have been conditioned enough to know I am wrong. Anyway the traditional old fashion churches are to ritualistic for me and kind of boring. But like Bruce suggested I may try one like Presbyterian, Greek Orthodox or Anglican like N.T. Wright
What I was realizing just today , after watching Bruce's videos a few weeks and eating them up, Is the comments under each video of his are always positive even the ones that people do not agree 100% with him . And I love the way he responds. He takes the time to actually answer. The Neo-Fundo-Evangelicals with the dispensational theology fight and argue over and over about Pre-trib rapture and all that Book of Daniel 70 weeks revelation stuff get to the point of condemning each other to eternal Hell . It's ridicules .
I a fool for punish, get involved to try to bring rational peace to there conversations but get kick again and again . That is what they mean by insanity. When Bruce Gore mentioned Cestius Gallus and his unknown retreat from the city and it was then that the Christians escaped from Jerusalem paired with Matthew 24:15-16 and Luke 21:20 (also Eusebius) this was the beginning of my journey to study the Preterist view. Although I learned this view before I heard of Bruce Gore it is always fantastic to find another teacher who holds the Preterist view and uses history to back it view up. It really has me wonder how any honest Christian can even hold a futurist view in light of all the historical documentation we have.
I can’t believe any honest Christian can have a preterist view when the historicist view is the only valid one. Especially when Daniel specifically said “shut up the book UNTIL THE TIME OF THE END” and many other similar verses.
Not only that the bible is consistent and the day year principles on prophecy is proof. Why do Christians use 490 years in Daniel 9 but then changes to literal dates for the rest?!
Also how can Nero uprooted 3 before him and how is Nero the 11th coming after the Ten horns which the 4th beast is the 4th kingdom. So it must be after the 4th kingdom is on scene.

What I've found also very interesting with regards to when Jesus said "not one stone left standing"... Some people may think "what about the wailing wall?". Well, it turns out that the wailing wall was built by Agrippa, AFTER the time of Christ. Apparently people today in even Jerusalem still say it was built by Herod the Great, but excavation under the wall found coins from 25 years after his death...so for what Christ said, for what was there at the time He said it,. .....TRULY..not ONE stone WAS left standing. I just thought I'd put that out there.

The Sadducee Temple priests officiated the weekly Sabbaths and High Days at the time of Christ, who never contested their solar calendar.
In 66AD the Pharisee Anti-Roman (Anti-Fasse/ANTIFA) Zealot rebels, seized control of the Temple.
When contested for control, 20000 Judean 'Jewish' Edomites assisted the Zealots and murdered most of the Sadducee aristocracy, priests and hundreds of the Jerusalem populace.
The ANTIFA Zealot rebels then appointed their own accursed lunar calendar high priest, who was the last to be seen standing in the Holy Place when THREE AND A HALF YEARS later, the prince of the Roman Empire arrived and desolated Jerusalem, Judea and the Jews in 70 AD - culminating in the taking of Masada another THREE AND A HALF YEARS AFTERWARDS.
Most of the Christians, remembering Christ's words, escaped to Jordan between the two sieges of Jerusalem - the first siege by General Gallus who then strangely withdrew from Judea, and the second by "prince" Titus son of the new Emperor.
These SEVEN YEARS are the fulfillment of Daniels prophesy.
Surviving Pharisees continued to enforce their lunar calendar 'sabbaths and high days' in the Synagogues, which they controlled - hiding the Sadducee Temple calendar from the people.
Constantine managed to establish the Resurrection day as Sunday in 30 AD on their Julian calendar, which actually overlapped the Biblical weekly Sabbath THAT year.
Unable to establish the Biblical calendar, Constantine changed Sunday to the first day of his new Roman week, in honour of the Resurrection.
Later Constantine's son Constantius ll, knowing the Pharisee's lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar to be Babylonian and Canaanite, forbade them from signaling the start of their lunar months across the Empire from Jerusalem.
As a concequence, Hillel ll was forced to choose a Roman day for their weekly 'sabbath', and he chose Saturday - the seventh day of Constantine's NEW Roman week. The rest of their lunar calendar they kept by Rabbinical calculation.
Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar, revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies.
Saturday was only chosen as the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standadised the Jewish calendar. Even before that, the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues, after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD.
The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire.
However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Therefore, in honour of the resurrection he changed Sunday to the first day of his NEW Roman week, and also made Sunday the day of rest.
Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" !
Rabbi 'Sages' don't tell you all this and most Rabbis don't even know this themselves !
Karaite Jews today still keep the Babylonial lunar calendar and many Christians have been seduced into doing the same.
Jericho was an ancient lunar calendar observation city dedicated to and named after their moon god.
The Bible called Jericho the "accursed city" and Joshua was commanded to totally destroy it and its inhabitants after marching around it once for six consecutive days, and seven times on the seventh day - i.e. 13 times in total !
I think that, as opposed to the Second Advent and the "Marriage of the Lamb" that nobody knows when, the preceding "great and dreadful day of the Lord" can actually be established as the 20th March 2031.
The world will feel that ominous consuming fire approaching and will run around trying to hide, while Christians enter into their inner prayer "chambers".
When the Christians come out, there will be no OTHER flesh and blood survivers - who will be burnt up and trodden "as ash under their feet."
They will mourn for their friends and relatives who weren't "saved", but SOMETIME afterwards will witness the return of Christ coming from east to west.
Raising their eyes they will be transformed in an instant, allowing them to rise up and meet His RETURN.
Thereafter, they will be consoled when He "wipes the tears" from their eyes and takes care of them like as "calves of the stall".
That's how I perceive these future Biblical events.
Don't the dead in Christ rise "first" - a great multitude ? Then those living Christians that are "left" come safely out of their prayer chambers - AFTER the "wrath", to "tread upon the ashes of the wicked who have been removed from the earth" - "The righteous shall NEVER be removed but the wicked shall be cut off".
These "saved" righteous remnant "lift up their eyes", and are then "changed in the twinkling of an eye", and able to rise up and meet Christ returning with this great host.....
The chronology in the Septuagint is a few hundred years longer than in the Masoretic Text. Both are flawed:
The imminent millennial reign of Christ on earth coincides with Yahweh's 2nd 'day' of rest - "and His rest shall be glorious" because His Son is ruling on earth for that 1000-year-day.
So if Yahweh's first "day" of rest was ALSO a thousand-year-day, in which Adam died at 930 years old "in the same day" he sinned, and Adam was also made near the end of the previous 6th 'day', then we are currently near the end of the 13th thousand-year-day which actually ends on the "great and dreadful day of the Lord" on the 20th March 2031.

Mr Gore, this has by far been the most enlightening study of Revelation, I have taken in and it has cleared the air on so much that was a mystery to me in other books of the bible. The bible, just about in its entirety, has always been about Jesus and His prophetic birth and how man would turn on Him due to our hardening hearts and sinful nature.
I can clearly see why this book is suggested by many to be read and, most importantly understood, before any other book in the bible. What it REVEALS and its correlation with world history is the most convincing evidence of God's existence, power and mercy. Its such a shame that because of Hollywood and the countless myths which shroud it, a lot of the very obvious is missed.

Thanks yet again for a wonderful series. I was raised in a historicist view of Revelation so this has been a real help in my personal search for truth. I have been watching and weighing multiple interpretations and I can see how the spread of the Gospel has benefited from each view and maybe God intended it that way. He after all knows what motivates each of us. These courses you've done are great for an average person such as myself to gain the information I need to make an educated and reasonable decision. I must say I have been persuaded to the Preterist view with yet a little to go.

The Bible has a lot more punch and makes a lot more sense from the historic perspective. Scripture must be understood in light of what has taken place in history, not in ignorance of it. When you read Daniel and Joel and revelation and the parables of Jesus, they all make sense that the 70 weeks of Daniel were meant to be understood as the end of Gods mercy on an unrepentant and apostate people. Then Peter having come, said to Him, "Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I will forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus says to him, "I say to you not up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven! This Passage is a clear reference to the 70x7 weeks of Daniel. Jesus said up to 70 times 7 (70 weeks) so once 70 times 7 has been forgiven then the time of mercy of up, the judgment comes. The LORD repaid the Jewish people for killing his prophets and finally is own son.
When the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld. And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You avenge our blood and judge those who dwell upon the earth?” Then each of them was given a white robe and told to rest a little while longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers, were killed, just as they had been killed. The full number of the righteous ones were slain when Gods wrath fell upon the promised land. This number included the apostles and the first New Testament saints who sold all they had, quit their jobs and preached the gospel to the ends of the then known world.
The Bible has so much more power in its true context but futurism is the ice cream truck that the majority of Christianity drives sadly.

@Jose Mascarenas Yes, it's so frustrating when pastors divorce scripture from it's cultural & historical context. Modern Anglo culture is radically different from 1st century Semitic culture; and if you don't take that into account you'll fail to understand its meaning.

Love the rich historical context. Dispensational doctrine has never made sense to me within the full context of scripture. Now applying historical context I realize how misguided I was. My husband recently said that he wished Rev. had been left out of the canon, “it’s too confusing and causes too many arguments!” 😉

Very good yes. Only thing is is that you’re right - if Preterism (this view here) is 100% correct then Revelation should be left out as it is redundant now and only causes confusion. The thing is though the flavor of the apocalypse in the book and Jesus definitely sound like it’s to be worldwide; and it has been taken this way for all times by most thinkers. Irenaeus for one doesn’t not speak as though all of these things have been fulfilled recently just before his own time! He points to the future and this is very very telling. It is that way with most Christian thinkers - even the reformers. There must be more to it than this here. This can only be a typological half of the story. Bless you

Jesus said a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. I was once firmly pre trib but am no longer. I have become weary over the dispensation crowd seeing a sign in every event citing prophecy. It has become obsessive. What about the events of 100 years ago or 500 years ago? Was everything prophetic? No. But somehow it is today? Simply living during this time and claiming it unto exhaustion doesn't make it so. And the endless false predictions prove it.
This quote is taken put of context. He was surprised that a people that are wicked and committing adultery even cared to be show a sign to bring them to repentance.

Recently finished this Israel Bible history bundle and I am very honored that I was able to listen through it. As a non-denominational (akin almost to Baptist), I didn't agree completely with your assessment of the Apocalypse, but certainly has placed a seed as I learn more. To my friends, I am known as someone with a vast wealth of history, especially in the areas of Bible history (and Rome which you did an excellent job of explaining). This series was tremendously helpful for its concise packaging, yet detailed material, and I will be passing it off to others.
Are other videos available for "further reading" like dissemination of the nations (from Noah), the religious systems of Jebusites, Magi, Zoroaster, and the changes in the Israel religion pre- and post- Babylonian Captivity, and post Temple?

Josephus had been a top Jewish military commander who was captured by the Romans after putting up valiant resistance early in the Galilean campaign in 68AD. Unlike the Zealots he had spared captured Roman soldiers and garnered the reputation of being a gracious commander. This reputation spared his life. While under captivity by Vespasian's own guard he'd had a dream about Vespasian that indicated that the general would soon become Caesar. And sure enough, after the suicide of Nero, when recalled to Rome at the behest of some senators and most of the Roman army to lead Rome it was Vespasian who prevailed and became Caesar in 69AD. Josephus, in exchange for this prophecy was granted his freedom by the new emperor and in turn adopted the emperor's own family name, Flavius. We know him as Flavius Josephus, the historian of the Jewish War. Granted access to Titus' inner circle of advisors because he probably knew best the battle strategy of the Jewish army, he was an eyewitness to every battle, setback, and triumph the Roman senior command faced during the war and seige. His accounts are riveting to say the least.

Thank you very much for your sacrifices for our Lord and His kingdom. I am new to your work but I am throughly pleased to spend my time in your videos. I am also an ex-dispensationalist. I am very concerned of the damage this view has brought upon our brothers and sisters in Christ. I was also recently freed from the "rapture/70th week" crowd, and I find that I have a whole new reverence for our beloved scriptures. That theory eats its way into people's hearts and minds, and it's so difficult to help them see what is plainly written before them. They laugh at me and look at me like a silly child that has wandered from the herd when I suggest that Jesus knew exactly what the words "soon" and "quickly" mean. Lord help us.
What are your thoughts on doing a lecture on the prophecies in Daniel 2 and 9 from a preterist view? I won't complain a bit if becomes a series of lectures, as I understand a bit of what I'm asking of you. I just feel that if we could show them that 70 comes right after 69, and how that still fits perfectly with the scriptures, and (strangely enough) recorded history, that maybe they could consider Revelation to be what it IS..... The awesome Revelation of CHRIST. Not a future map of the end of the cosmos. Besides, didn't God tell us to stay clear of trying to predict the future? Rapture=escapism. It's poison in my opinion.

I gave my heart to Christ 2 years ago in a prison cell, and for the first time in my life, I began to truly live. I vividly remember watching my thoughts being renewed. I was a God-hating atheist, drug addict loser, and 3 months later, I was ON FIRE for the Lord!! I saw God working through me in there to seed and water. They saw the almost overnight change in me and it was a powerful witness for Christ. I have a testimony that many of our brothers seem to almost envy because it's so dramatic, but I try to explain the pain and scars that came with that lifestyle. I say, Praise God, that He spared them from what I have seen. I may still have to go back to prison for a lengthy stay, as I am still dealing with the charges that led me into that fateful prison cell, where I met our Savior for the first time. I know that God is with me and that ALL things work together for the good of those that love God, so I am standing strong in my faith. I wish I could tell you some of the incredible ways that God has made it perfectly clear to me that I belong to Him. I love when He does that!! I'm so unworthy. Anyway, I'm sorry, I didn't intent on writing all that, it just felt like I should share it. I live with an insatiable thirst for His word, and have many questions, but I have chosen the most important to ask here.... I am only aware of two ages in the scriptures, the one that was coming to its end (Judaic age), and the one to come (The spiritual Kingdom of heaven), that Christ brought with the new covenant. Isa 9:7 says that the increase of His government will never end. Do you think it's possible that there is no "Second coming", as they call it? If we move into the eternal state at some point in the future, how can His government still increase? What does the earth look like when it's been thoroughly "footstooled", you know?

This interpretation of Revelation is woefully inadequate regarding connections to the rest of the revelation of the scriptures, but the most obvious error at the heart of it all is in the ignorance of CHRIST'S SECOND COMING. If you miss that, you have no business teaching anyone.
For anyone who wants to know the truth, see the Life Study of the Bible by Witness Lee, especially Daniel, Ezekiel, Matthew, First Thessalonians, Second Timothy, and Revelation. If you don't want to do that, just read those books, and you will see that Christ must return and while the destruction of Jerusalem is a prefigure of these events, many of the prophecies regarding it and the time of Antiochus Epiphanes have not yet been fulfilled. First Thessalonians confirms that the Lord Himself will come and all things will be ended in a particular series of related events. Finally, if the Lord were done at this point, what a sorry conclusion this would be: his enemy is still wreaking havoc and suffering all over the world, his church is still divided, He has not had his vengeance on corrupt human government, and the world is in general ignorance of Him. Every knee has not bowed, every tongue has not openly confessed Jesus Christ as Lord. Read the last three chapters of Revelation, and you will know that we are not there. All is not over.
You seem to be equating a preterist approach to revelation, and the heresy of full preterism.
What this video describes is the judgement coming of Jesus, to judge lost Israel.
His future and bodily 2nd coming is where He resurrects judges all.
Don't get "lost" in the details when you read the Revelation of Jesus Christ or you might find out some of those details don't work out with his deeply symbolic preterist theories. If all this has been fulfilled and we're now living in the millennium, how is it when I look around we're still living in a fallen world? Jesus rules out a 'dual' fulfillment in the Olivet Discourse. The historical moment described in Revelation (and the Olivet Discourse) was a paradigm change, once for all, in human history. The kingdom of Christ was established then, and at the end of human history, that kingdom will be fully realized.

In fact, it is precisely the internal evidence of the seven churches that does indicate to me a late date (rather than Iranaeus' external evidence, useful though it is).

If John wrote the book in say AD 65, the churches would not have had enough time to "fall"/decline from their earlier very positive state. They would have to be planted by Paul or someone closely associated with him. Then they need time to grow and do the many things they are differently commended for by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only then that they will need time to decline to the point of admonishment by the Lord, which supposedly happened in AD 65. Which means the churches could not have started a mere 5 years before. The missionary dates of Paul do not line up to support this. To assert that other apostles planted them earlier say around AD 40-45 is mere speculation. We dont go there. However, in the period of quiet after AD 70 to about AD 95 DOES allow for enough time to grow to reach a point of commendation and then to decline. It is precisely this factor that is strong internal evidence for a late date. That Iranaeus also indicates so merely adds additional credibility.

The other very weak point people assert for an early date is that John brings in the temple in Ch 11. And he did so because it existed, and it would have existed because he wrote before AD 70. This is very weak! John, like Paul and the other apostles, know that the temple IS the our Lord Jesus Christ, and the redeemed, subordinately, in him. Moreover, John, himself, knows what he wrote in v1, to wit, "and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John"! He knows he is using the word temple as a sign and not as a physical structure.

I love your teachings in general, except for the inevitable one or two issues that come up. We are all growing and none of us will always fully agree. Nonetheless, I am rather surprised that your chain did get rattled by Palmer on this point of an early date. I really don't see why. Certainly I wouldn't have expected you to have gotten jostled! @royal priest Even if a quote from a brilliant church "elder" (I dont call them fathers - our Lord explicitly taught us to call NO man Father), let alone an eccentric one, contradicts the internal teaching of the Holy Bible, all external evidence MUST yield to the biblical text. Period.
I expect you will concur on me with this, else you are not a biblical Christian, whatever else you may call yourself to be.
This said, the apostle John has already heard and then later understood what Jesus Christ meant when he said "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up on the third day". They knew he was talking about his body being THE temple of which the OT temple and tabernacle were shadows. Later Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit to teach absolute truth, taught that a redeemed person is engrafted into the body of Christ, and thus is now part of the wider spiritual, yet exceedingly real, temple in whom the living God dwells and will do so time without end.
Thus when John in Rev 11 writes about the temple, he is not going to write about the second temple, when the Holy Spirit who is inspiring him to write has already taught him and Paul and others WHO the real temple is!! The old temple and shadows are done away with. They have no use now EXCEPT as the important teaching truths to what God was doing BEFORE the true and living temple took on flesh and arrived on this earth!!! So clearly the temple in Rev 11 is symbolic, though very real! One reason people get all bunched up in Rev is they miss the clear teaching in Rev 1:1 that what is to follow is "signified".
Furthermore, there was simply no reasonable time for the 7 real extant churches then, to have risen in love and obedience and then to have fallen away such that the Lord must reprimand churches. And of another he says they are "dead". And so on. There is not a reasonable amount of time if John wrote before AD 70.

What other evidence do you want to understand that it refers to the actual temple before its destruction and before Jersualem , the city called Sodom , Egypt and then Babylon was trampled by the gentiles , which were the Roman armies ? The Bible says 42 months.
The temple here is not the Lord !! It is a physical structure . It is crystal clear in the text.
The most logical explanation of Revelation unlike Darbyism which is just wishful thinking
Nero's identification with the number of the beast seems to be a stretch to me. For one, it only actually adds up to 666 if you call him Nero Caesar (Neron Kaiser). Secondly, none of the early Church fathers identified Nero the Antichrist. Iranaeus, who writes extensively on the topic, doesn't even give Nero as a possible theory. Third, Nero Kaiser only has a value of 666 in Hebrew, an odd language to render the mark of the beast in considering Nero spoke Latin and John wrote in Greek, which both have their own numerical values in letters. On top of that, the typical 1st century spelling of Nero Caesar in Hebrew was "Nrw Qsr", which adds up to 616. The spelling "Nrwn Qsr" did exist in the 1st century, but was far from common. Fourthly, Nero never returned from a healed deadly wound, which all but elminates him. Fifth and finally, it seems clear to me that A.) Revelation was written in 95 AD and B.) It is talking prophetically and not about current events. Why?
Well for A.) Most every record we have (Examples Iranaeus and Clement of Alexandria) describe Revelation as being written in the time of Domition, 81 AD-96 AD. On top of that, the Nicolaetins are a full fledged sect in Revelation, something they wouldn't be in the 60's AD. And for B.) John outright calls the book a prophecy at the end.

Can't escape the statments that "the time is at hand" and "I am coming soon". The "end of all things is near". No matter how people spin these statments, one cannot escape the clear meaning.
Yes, those statements and a good many others like them are persuasive to me, but obviously not everyone sees them as compelling.

In fact, that's a big part of the reason why Jews don't accept JESUS as Messiah. I don't know if the prophets always knew the time frame accurately, unless GOD told them.
First, whatever you want to try and argue about 666 or 616, the fact remains that the Beast that John spoke of must be relative to the first century Christians. Hence, this rules out any historical personage beyond 100 CE.

Nero Caesar (nno q.w) is equivalent to 616.”
When you attempt to use Irenaeus against the Nero theory please remember that he confesses his own ignorance on the matter. Besides, he wrote in 180 CE. Eusebius points out Ireanus's ignorance on certain biblical matters anyway.

As far as a deadly wound, who said it was to be understood in a literal sense? Further, it is not clear whether the wound refers to a man or the Empire! Weak point.

Bruce you mention Agrippa II as the seventh and last of the Herods. I have looked into this a bit and it doesn't seem to me that they were all rulers in/of Jerusalem. As I recall two brothers ruled at the same time and that the one which had rule over Jerusalem ended up also taking over rule for the territory of the other. Is that correct? I would greatly appreciate any information you could give pertaining to this group of kings, possible family connections, or a source of study that would go beyond wiki. I really appreciate your teachings, and have attempted to listen to them more than once to help absorb all the info. Please respond to my idea of Matthew 24:
"time of Jacob's trouble is the Jewish Diaspora.. which lasted for over 1800 years. Jesus addresses this time to include the "time of the gentiles" who trodden down Jerusalem....Luke 21:24. Hadrian caused this to happen in 132-135 AD when he made Jerusalem off limits to Jews.... this continued from 132 to Nov. of 1947 This shows that everything was not totally fulfilled in 70 AD. Jeremiah shows that the time of Jacob's trouble to include not only the time of her scattering, but her gathering as well... we see that with Hitler. Jeremiah mentions the 'north country" as part of the gathering ...Jer. 31:8 in the 1970's Russia opened its doors to release the Jews. Today 2 million of the 5+ million Jews in Israel are Russian speaking. However, Israel is not entirely gathered today. Around half of the Jews are still ungathered. Jesus states that immediately after the tribulation of those days an astronomical event will occur... Matt. 24:29-31. I suggest that the tribulation of those days are not complete, and will not be complete until the Jewish Diaspora shows a fulfillment of Israel being gathered as a whole.
Consider the astronomical event:
The event will cause the sun to be darkened and the moon to not give it's light. The powers of the heavens (oranos) will be shaken. "Oranos" was a Greek god of the heavens. In the 1850's the 8th planet around the sun was discovered and was named after the Greek god Oranos. The planet is called in English as is the Greek god: Uranus. Ten years later another discovery was found... the radioactive element.... that too was named after Uranus... it is called Uranium. The astronomical catastrophe of a nuclear winter and a nuclear war is described in this passage.... the sun being darkened and the moon not giving it's light is a nuclear winter. The stars falling from heaven are the nuclear bombs which are powered by the same energy as the sun ... nuclear fusion and fission, and when they go off they cause blindness from it's brightness for those who see it at close range. There are 24 passages that describe this nuclear event in which they all shed a little more light on the subject.... people's faces melting like wax... which was reported in the Japanese bombing... the stars being darkened as well. Every account is consistent with a nuclear holocaust. That explains where we are in the book of Revelation... just prior to the 6th seal.

Pastor I really thanks to you to reveal such a mystery of revelation which was misled by traditional pastors.Even today my church pastors believing that revelation never happened it's a futuristic. I realised it but I can't teach them they will be expell me from the church.

I just had a thought, At about 6:45 minutes into the video, Bruce talks about Cestius Gallus withdrawing from the City. The Christians then fled to the mountains, but the "Jews" mistook Gallus' withdrawal as a good sign for them. Could their misinterpretation be the "powerful delusion" that Paul refers to in 2 Thessalonians 2:11? Anyone have any thoughts on this??

I’m relying in Michael Grant’s “The Jews in the Roman World,” because it’s hard to find a satisfactory synopsis that covers the both the chronology and conflicts between religious themselves and the political factions from a biblical perspective. We’re studying Matthew 24 in our Bible class and you referenced verses from that chapter that connect directly to the events of the fall of Jerusalem (the running to the hills, and the phases of devastation.) And the five month period from Revelation within a very helpful summary with explanations of the symbols from that book. You are an incredible resource, “Doctor” Gore. Thank you!

I incline to the view that Paul's 'man of sin' refers either to Nero (more likely) or to the High Priest in the closing days of the Jewish Wars.

@@RedDevilStudio The word for temple in the text is 'naos' which does not generally refer to the external temple, but to the place of true worship, the inner sanctum, a term often applied to the church. This was precisely what Nero attempted to do, to force Christians to worship in the Caesar Cult.
I always understood Jesus' words in Matt. 23, "You're house is left to you desolate" as meaning that He took the glory of the temple (Holy Spirit) with him when He left the temple...leaving it desolate (empty) of what made it full.
Could this be a possibility or are you quite certain it was the destruction in 70 a.d.?
Of course, I don't know and haven't studied nearly as much as Mr. Gore so I could be entirely incorrect.

I can't imagine what historical mystery may linger around Cestius Gallus' sudden withdrawal from his seige of Jerusalem. He was deep in indian country and out-gunned. He was running for his life but whatever miscalculation informed his campaign to Jerusalem caught up with him at Beth-Horon. There is a certain similarity to Custer's campaign in front of the Little Big Horn.
Palestine is what Newt Gingrich describes as a "choke-point". The Roman road system is a free market structure and keeping the system open was an important function of the legions. At the time of Jesus, there were two legions headquartered out of Caesarea just to keep those trade routes free. At Passover, they routinely surrounded Jerusalem for crowd control. I would guess that this force could have been as large as 30,000 men, being a permanent headquarters and all, but its TO&E was only 12,000. But it seems that these elements had been withdrawn and the Roman population in the area had to call in support from Syria. And this seems to have been the source of the miscalculation that ended up at Beth-Horon, because, if you didn't live there, Palestine seemed to have been assumed to remained pacified simply because most of the fighting was Jewish intermural. He seemed to believe he could march in and march out like the govenors of Jesus' time, but the situation had changed. Jesus demonstrated, twice, that He could mobilize nearly a legion of very mobile infantry in the Galilee but Gallus didn't get the memo.
The interesting detail is the Christian reaction in Jerusalem. They had received the memo and they got out of Dodge. Anyone in doubt of the irrancy of the Gospels need to account for this. Anyone who desires to see the Holy Spirit in action, consider their faith in the Word.
Vespasian didn't make the same mistake as Gallus: his first task was to create an escape route. It is a military maxim that you can get in anywhere: it's getting out again that is contingent.
The Sadducee Temple priests officiated the weekly Sabbaths and High Days at the time of Christ, who never contested their solar calendar.
In 66AD the Pharisee Anti-Roman (Anti-Fasse/ANTIFA) Zealot rebels, seized control of the Temple.
When contested for control, 20000 Judean 'Jewish' Edomites assisted the Zealots and murdered most of the Sadducee aristocracy, priests and hundreds of the Jerusalem populace.
The ANTIFA Zealot rebels then appointed their own accursed lunar calendar high priest, who was the last to be seen standing in the Holy Place when THREE AND A HALF YEARS later, the prince of the Roman Empire arrived and desolated Jerusalem, Judea and the Jews in 70 AD - culminating in the taking of Masada another THREE AND A HALF YEARS AFTERWARDS.
Most of the Christians, remembering Christ's words, escaped to Jordan between the two sieges of Jerusalem - the first siege by General Gallus who then strangely withdrew from Judea, and the second by "prince" Titus son of the new Emperor.
These SEVEN YEARS are the fulfillment of Daniels prophesy.
Surviving Pharisees continued to enforce their lunar calendar 'sabbaths and high days' in the Synagogues, which they controlled - hiding the Sadducee Temple calendar from the people.
Constantine managed to establish the Resurrection day as Sunday in 30 AD on their Julian calendar, which actually overlapped the Biblical weekly Sabbath THAT year.
Unable to establish the Biblical calendar, Constantine changed Sunday to the first day of his new Roman week, in honour of the Resurrection.
Later Constantine's son Constantius ll, knowing the Pharisee's lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar to be Babylonian and Canaanite, forbade them from signaling the start of their lunar months across the Empire from Jerusalem.
As a concequence, Hillel ll was forced to choose a Roman day for their weekly 'sabbath', and he chose Saturday - the seventh day of Constantine's NEW Roman week. The rest of their lunar calendar they kept by Rabbinical calculation.
Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar, revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies.
Saturday was only chosen as the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standadised the Jewish calendar. Even before that, the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues, after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD.
The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire.
However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Therefore, in honour of the resurrection he changed Sunday to the first day of his NEW Roman week, and also made Sunday the day of rest.
Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" !
Rabbi 'Sages' don't tell you all this and most Rabbis don't even know this themselves !
Karaite Jews today still keep the Babylonial lunar calendar and many Christians have been seduced into doing the same.
Jericho was an ancient lunar calendar observation city dedicated to and named after their moon god.

I think that, as opposed to the Second Advent and the "Marriage of the Lamb" that nobody knows when, the preceding "great and dreadful day of the Lord" can actually be established as the 20th March 2031.

Raising their eyes they will be transformed in an instant, allowing them to rise up and meet His RETURN.
Thereafter, they will be consoled when He "wipes the tears" from their eyes and takes care of them like as "calves of the stall".
That's how I perceive these future Biblical events.
Don't the dead in Christ rise "first" - a great multitude ? Then those living Christians that are "left" come safely out of their prayer chambers - AFTER the "wrath", to "tread upon the ashes of the wicked who have been removed from the earth" - "The righteous shall NEVER be removed but the wicked shall be cut off".
These "saved" righteous remnant "lift up their eyes", and are then "changed in the twinkling of an eye", and able to rise up and meet Christ returning with this great host.....
The chronology in the Septuagint is a few hundred years longer than in the Masoretic Text. Both are flawed:
The imminent millennial reign of Christ on earth coincides with Yahweh's 2nd 'day' of rest - "and His rest shall be glorious" because His Son is ruling on earth for that 1000-year-day.
So if Yahweh's first "day" of rest was ALSO a thousand-year-day, in which Adam died at 930 years old "in the same day" he sinned, and Adam was also made near the end of the previous 6th 'day', then we are currently near the end of the 13th thousand-year-day which actually ends on the "great and dreadful day of the Lord" on the 20th March 2031.

I think the Revelation was written in about 100 AD. Of course there are reasons for that, but you do give an interesting Bible study.

Three questions the disciples came to Jesus with when will these things be when will be the sign of your coming and the end of the world or age, which at during that time they were still in the age of Pisces, so neither the end of the age nor the end of the world has happened yet. Hello Mr Bill now I'm about 25 minutes into your video and I have actually enjoyed your historical synopsis of everything that took place in 70 AD. But I have gotten to where you're saying that everything in Revelation basically has been fulfilled that when John said these things would shortly come to pass that he had written those in '68 or 69 AD and that I refuse and I'll tell you why, if you read not only Irenaeus, his against heresies where he brings up John being exiled on Patmos, I also have read others such as esubious, who in book 3 mentions that after donation had passed away or died, nerva had released all of the prisoners that were illegally or unjustly arrested and exiled by Domitian. That John was actually one of those and was released in 98 AD. So if John was exiled by Nero, which I highly doubt because Nero was a brutal persecutor of those Christians in and about Rome, not all over the empire not in Jerusalem not in all the other territories that Rome had controlled. However polycarp who was a disciple of John, was born in 69 AD, and would not have been a disciple of John if John has been in prison for 30 years. So the printerest view, holds that Nero was the Antichrist even though Jesus Christ did not return, and destroy him with the brightness of his coming as it mentions in second thoughtsalonians chapter 2 but he was an Antichrist, I wish I could actually sit down and have a conversation, cuz you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders, so I'm going to make a few comments on here because I don't want to write a book so I'm in this comment here and start another
Bruce I have found your series to be very good up until this point. Although I thoroughly disagree with your interpretation of the Revelation my main beef is the dating you used. 60-65 is NOT the mainstream dating accepted by scholars. It is the minority view. The mainstream dating is post 70 AD after the events in Jerusalem. In fact it is closer to almost 90 AD. The dating of pre 70 is an invention of later scholarship of a few scholars who cling to preterism.
Yes, the principal source for the late-date is Irenaeus, who appears to put the date under the reign of Domitian. A respectable number of scholars (admittedly a minority at this point) argue for an earlier date based on multiple pieces of evidence, both external and internal. Gore has presented a brilliant creative justification for human protraction of mortal sin by endorsing the doctrine of faith prominently as the primary key to eternal salvation! He has conveniently left out the call of all souls before the Judgment Seat of Christ to answer for their "work" in the world by which they will be judged, either for or against God, the same justification used by all religious charlatans, especially alcoholics, gluttons, money/power/pleasure/status lovers!
His opinion early on in this discourse considers the prophesies of Revelations to have already mostly occurred, primarily within a symbolic evolution v. physical reality. In this opinion Gore has also conveniently ignored the earthquake that will divide Jerusalem into 3 parts, destruction of 1/10th of its buildings, killing of 7000! He conveniently also dismissed the 144,000 souls who only are to ascend to Heaven when Jesus returns, as undefiled by women, while only those beheaded, martyred for Chist will be with Jesus during his thousand year reign! He ignores Christ's revelation to John that the New Jerusalem will extend from the New Heaven, with a full description, as the earth, seas, and mountains will pass away, while the souls whose names are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be cast into an eternal fiery pit of molten fire and brimstone! There are many other assumptions Gore projects which astute readers of the Book of Revelations, the Holy Bible, can detect, most notably of which is the evil condition of the world under the current power of the anti-Christ, the "abomination of the desolation" as prophesied by Jesus!
There is a distinct difference between "mystery," shrouded in uncertainty until it "may" not be, as the intelligence of God which extends beyond space and time, v. intentional subversion of God's revealed truth to human creativity as unknowable in time and space, which it is to the obedient to God's will!
Gore is counseled by God to stick to historical validated fact instead of biblical interpretations, opinions, that are still to be revealed by God in confirmed reality, as Jesus has provided for us! Amen!

They touch the past, the schoolteacher of understanding, the present, a relation to what we can actually see and witness and a future, the culmination of Gods plan, when He calls: “Time.” It’s not just a double entendre but a triple, ie. God is the same yesterday, today and forever, Christ was, died and Rose again. Shoehorning Christ’s Revelation to John into a single event culminating in 70AD leaves no redress of grievance for the ongoing problems concerning men, angels and especially God. The 7 Churches of Revelation that were are also historically prophetic types seen throughout the church ages dealing with the ramifications of the Scroll, the seals, trumpets and vials (all yet future from John’s perspective in an address to Christianity, not the cut off Jew of the past law but of the grafted in gentile of the present and the future age of grace) as yet God’s culmination is still on the horizon (unlike then, today there’s no new world to discover, we’ve filled up the earth). Today the Lawlessness of 70 AD era has returned again, just like Sodom and Gomorrah and the world that Noah found himself in before that. There is nowhere for man to go, the wheat and tares have now grown up together, the maturity is white unto harvest as God said, He’s going to winnow at Christ’s return. Christ rules with Saints in a millennial kingdom! There are 4 periods for mankind on earth: Satan, and No Law,- Satan, and The law,- Satan, in this time of Grace and No Satan, for a 1000 years of Christ’s perfect rule. In each of these periods, Faith and Faith Alone gave, gives and will give “whosoever will” access to Gods heritage. All of time, past, present and future is Gods plan, a necessary plan to ultimately leads captivity captive; the war in heaven is what IS, it’s being quelled. It started when God created Satan who, seeing what was being created, left the habitation of what he was created for, for a usurpation of what had never before existed, in his covet, he decided he wanted to be “as the Most High.” Every facet of this Diamond we call “time” is repeated again and again and again till the end of time, ie. around its Pavilion, around the Girth, all the way to the end at the zenith of time on the table of it’s Crown. God will present the Faithful of mankind to the Angels (the servants of those who will inherit salvation) as a display of His victory over death, having explored every facet of every argument and answering every rebuttal in Truth. Death and hell are cast into the lake of fire, this eternal darkness is reserved for the Children of Disobedience just as those who lived by Faith, from the beginning of time to the end, are transformed into the Children light and ushered into God’s Kingdom as joint heirs with Christ to live eternally in God’s radiating Light.

Heb 9:28 states that He would come again not for sin but for salvation. Does not Him coming in the clouds as told in Matt 24 surmise the whole prophecy. His Kingdom was established and the New Covenant.

And open ceremony of colosseum and introduction of messiah (who destroyed temple) seven trumpets and seals would be seven temple on seven hills of Rome proclamation of that temple god approving of games. Four horse are four army generals that surrounded the city. Recreation of siege within coliseum. The beasts and blood and gore and things that look like dragons or other beasts. Imagine trying to explain to people not there about how it was like a dream with things that look like this or look like that. But traditional story and all that goes with it, is the only way to look at it?
I highly recommend Bruce Gore's admonition to read Revelation through from start to finish in order to get the big picture, the "story" or the narrative. I did this several times, and you do get a different perspective. You also can listen to it being read on RUclips. It definitely changed my view of ch. 20. I always approached ch. 20 with the "main event" interpretation as the thousand year reign, but that's not this chapter's main theme. Instead, it is about the defeat of Satan. In previous chapters the three enemies of Christ that were also enemies of the seven churches in Asia beginning in the first century, the harlot, the beast and the false prophet were eventually all defeated. Satan was prohibited from engaging new allies in his attempt to destroy Christianity, thus he was bound for a thousand years (symbolic). The defeat of Satan is separated from the defeat of those three enemies by the thousand year period, but this ends when Christ comes in final judgment, yet to happen, and intervenes by destroying Satan at the end.
What does Rev. mean by " the time of the end." Hab.2:3. Dan. 8:15-19
It means the end of the old covenant.
The parables in Matthew 13, the tears in the wheat, where he sends his angels at the end of the world to harvest the earth, here they will gather both and separate and throw the chaff in the fire and collect his wheat in the barn. Judgment day is coming it has not already happened. Judgment day is against all men who have ever lived not just the Jews in 70 AD

I wonder of that is the same kind of eating that Adam and Eve did when they ate the metaphorical Fruit.
Eating the Fruit means letting your judgement get under your skin. Internalizing your judgment. Becoming attached to it.
Forgiveness btw is spitting the Fruit up and grace is leaving it on the Tree; reserving judgment or at least your attachment to it.
