Testimony about the faithfulness of the Lord. A few days I was listening to 2 guys talking about pre-, post- and a-millenialism. After listening to them I thought that 2+2=4. I had a lot of questions in my heart regarding what they said. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me the truth through His Holy Spirit. Today I “accidentally stumbled” 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 across these 2 videos. It answered all my questions and I realised that those 2 guys believed the covenant theology. I am a dispensationalist (never knew that there was a name for it), by the grace if God. Thank you Dr Andy and the other man, (sorry, don’t know his name). I believe the WHOLE Bible is the Word of God and I take it literally. Praise my Jesus. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

It’s really not covenant vs. dispensation...
Both doctrines are true, it’s the dispensations of the covenants. It’s as simple as that.

I moved from an evangelical Church 12 months ago to a dispensational Church and I cannot begin to tell you how much I have grown in the Lord since then. It was like a hailstorm of truths hitting me from every direction, verses and whole books of the Bible that I had struggled to understand or make any sense of immediately made complete sense. My eyes have been opened and I now love listening to sermons and reading the Bible.

If you simply read the Old Testament as an historical event concerning the Jewish nation and place the prophets in their correct timeline and continue into the four gospels, you can't miss the meaning of what the scriptures say. It is dispensational and you don't need a degree to figure it out, The same thing with the book of Acts and the epistles. and it's all followed up in the book of Revelation. A young child with reading skills can figure it out.

    To all who read this:
I'm just now forming my hermeneutics and am a member at a covenant theology church. It's a confessional Baptist church and holds to the 1689 confessions. Although I lean dispensational and reject certain tenets of covenant theology, I've never been blessed more at a church than I have here at Grace Heritage. The discipleship, advocacy for the purity of the Church, reverence towards God and His holy Word, and the unwillingness to compromise woth society has done so much to mature me. I'm thankful to God for such a faithful church with amazing elders and deacons and other great men.
Be careful when rebuking. Although dispensationalism is the correct way to study the Bible, isn't it only by the grace of God that you have this wisdom and knowledge and discernment? Forget about others, how can you pridefully elevate yourself above them while ignoring the grace of God that allowed you to see all of this clearly? Don't cause division in the Church when it doesn't need to happen. I came to a healthy understanding of covenant and dispensational theology while maintaining amazing relationships with folks on both sides.
Although it is tough at times, I will remain a member at my church until God leads me to a dispensational church that is just as concerned about holiness as my church is now. It is possible to be a servant in your local church while holding different views on eschatology and having different hermeneutics. Be graceful and humble. God's rebuke is harsher than any man's.

While I agree we should remain humble and speak with love, and that some issues shouldn’t be divisive , some are, and your point of view is very Calvinist, and consistent with your church’s reformed views. Total depravity doesn’t mean total inability to make a choice to believe in God or seek out a more biblical interpretation. If people just sit around and wait on God to push them around, as if they’re robots, they might be sorely disappointed. Yes, God is sovereign and guides us, but we have a responsibility to seek Truth and to help lead others to Truth. Different interpretations can be very divisive. I would never in good faith attend a church with a completely different interpretation method, because all the teachings would be distorted. How could I worship or be a part of falsehood? How could I invite others to church if I didn’t believe the truth was being preached. To prove my point, your Calvinism (which could be a result of unintentional indoctrination) has led you to believe your view which I believe isn’t biblical and might be detrimental to you or other Christians. Why would I not want to help steer you and others with your views back to biblical truth? John 8:31-32: “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed in Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Part of being a good disciple is choosing to seek the truth of God’s word. In the Greek the person doing the action of continuing in the word is the believer. That falls on us. Believers are also to make disciples of all nations. It doesn’t say just make believers. We are to go beyond and disciple believers, leading them to truth. When a fellow believer stumbles (and it could be sin or even doctrinal error), the most loving thing to do is help them. Not let them be complicit in their stumbling.

And just think, a Calvinist can with a clear conscience sing this Calvinistic accurate song to their children.
    How sick is that?
    The Calvinist children's hymn:
"Jesus loves me, this I know.
As for you, I don't think so.
Only some to Him belong. We are right and you are wrong.
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    But
I hope this isn't effervescent grace that I'm walking in and instead
I'm actually deceived and one of the reprobates that He created to burn
as a candle for His glory in Hell forever."

They become one in that they share the same root, but still distinct from each other. The rose bush doesn't become a hydrangea bush, nor does the hydrangea become a rose. Likewise, a Gentile can't become an Israelite. But, they can become united by sharing the root, which is Jesus Christ.

The speaker justifies his tone by comparing himself to another man. We need to consider our actions by the word of God. The one he called out was correct to say to leave a church that teaches one can be saved without being changed at all or be a carnal Christian. II Timothy 3:5 says we should turn away from those who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. Tone also suggests the reason we think this is important. If the reason is to make one feel smart that they understand certain passages that others do not, the result is harmful. The tone makes the messages affect people differently. We will know them by their fruits. If you teach that one can be a carnal Christian or that everyone who said the sinners prayer is saved you are an enemy of the gospel. Matthew 7:21.. Those who believe that the salvation of God has power to transform the soul and keep believers preserving in the faith are teaching the true gospel. No message can be profitable if it doesn't have love, and isn't connected to the gospel.

      ✝️ 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🇺🇸 - That’s wholly untrue that a ‘carnal’ Christian cannot be saved.
      - Once saved, always saved
Beyond that, all we need to do is look at Lot. Lot was more carnal than just about anyone, and God sowed favor on him. God would not destroy Sodom until he was sure Lot left.
      - The angel actually said to him, these verses:
      Genesis 19:21-22
21 The angel said to Lot, “Very well, I will allow you to do this also. I will not destroy that town. 22 But run there fast, because I cannot destroy Sodom until you are safely in that town.” (That town is named Zoar)

@@davidkunze2770 This doctrine fails to recognize the First Resurrection happening already with Jesus Christ. Those Old Testament saints are already in Heaven experiencing the Millennial Reign with Christ. Reading Hebrews 11 and 12 together shows this clearly. We see the Firstborn already enrolled in Heaven in Hebrews 12:22-24. Ezekiel's Temple is there in Heaven right now. If you die between the Two Resurrections you are a spirit in Heaven, the same Hebrews 12 Scripture mentions the spirits separate from the Firstborn. They get their Resurrected bodies at the Second Resurrection. Andy Woods fails to see that the next Resurrection is the Second Resurrection. We see the Second Resurrection mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4. Revelation 1-19 is over, culminating in 70AD. The Greek word for earth in Revelation is ge. Ge does not mean global earth, it means soil, land ground or earth, as in the land of Israel. Andy thinks that when Revelation says 1/4 or 1/3 of the earth in destroyed, that this is global earth. That's how he comes up with all of Revelation being in the future, but again, it's not. There won't be more earthly temples built. There won't be an earthly king jesus for a 1,000 years on earth. Your position would be more persuasive with less ad hominem and projection. Stick to presenting your case, and when you critically examine the opposing case, present it as fairly and treat it as charitably as possible. Would someone who was discipled in covenant theology recognize what they were taught from your presentation? Do you think they’d be willing to give your arguments a fair hearing after having teachers they probably admire have their motives or training or competency questioned? Otherwise this just becomes an exercise in preaching to the choir, “see, ‘our tribe’ is better than ‘their tribe.’”

You will know them by their fruits. Attacks against those who are simply following the Word, follow the same pattern that political liberals follow. Conservative thought and actions have always been to the point, both in the political and theological realms. Liberal actions toward conservatives have always been in person and against the plain reading of the Word in the theological and against the Constitution in the political. It would seem that there are parallels on these fronts. It would seem that there is a commonality on the liberal side of the equation. The standard according to liberals is that conservatives must be silent take whatever abuse that liberals wish to heap on them and allow liberalism to gain sway without opposition.

One serious mistake made in our world is placing someone who is a "scholar" ahead of the clear teaching of the scripture. There are "scholars" who support both camps. The Lord will give us non-scholars understanding:
-2 Timothy 3:15 "...from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures..."
A child can understand the Bible (certain non-complex verses).
-Acts 17:11 "...they received the word..., and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. "
Personal responsibility: These people were in a Jewish synagogue, not in a group of mature believers in a church setting. We are to do our own Bible study.

      @billadams6232 9 месяцев назад

Additional... I gain a lot of spiritual benefit from pastors/ Bible teachers that are sound (correct) in their teaching of the Bible.
Andy Woods is one of my favorite Bible teachers. As stated in my previous post each individual has a responsibility to check out spiritual teaching/ teachers by comparing it/ them with the Bible.
-Acts 17:11-12: The Bereans searched the Scriptures daily to verify the teaching they heard.
-2 Timothy 3:15-16: An infant can know scripture, be made wise unto salvation & in time become fully equipped in spiritual matters.
Add'l: I haven't received any formal training; I have just listened to Bible teachers/ pastors and done a lot of personal study of the scriptures.

If you want to understand the problems with both Reformed Covenant Theology, and Dispensational Theology, read the book "Abraham's Four Seeds" by John G. Reisinger. They both tend to ignore the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in the scripture below.
They are both man-made doctrines. One is about 400 years old, and the other is less than 200 years old. These two systems have been at war with each other for over 100 years.
Jer_31:31 "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-
Mat_26:28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Mar_14:24 And He said to them, "This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many.
Luk_22:20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
1Co_11:25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
2Co_3:6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Heb_8:8 Because finding fault with them, He says: "BEHOLD, THE DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH-
Heb_8:13 In that He says, "A NEW COVENANT," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Heb_9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Heb_12:24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

      @@marcyoverby3120 New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14.
      Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)

Dear Sirs, if you consider yourselves Bible teachers, please teach the Bible and stop criticising and gossiping about others. You are supposed to discuss or teach about the subject of Dispensational VS Covenant. Just because others criticising you does not mean you should do the same. You could use the Bible and a little compassion to be different comparing to others. 20 minutes talking about RC a little too un-Christian.

      Titus 1:13
“...Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith.”
      Acts 20:28
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers...”
In other words, we are told to defend sound doctrinal teachings, and call out incorrect teachings.

your thinking is the reason why there are wolves in sheep skins teaching apostasy in the church. you must call out false teachers you are at the end of the church age. Many false teachers are out there. John McArthur teaches that a Christian can go to Heaven taking the Mark of the Beast. The Bible Teaches otherwise.

@@65gtotrips This doctrine fails to recognize the First Resurrection happening already with Jesus Christ. Next is the Second Resurrection, then this earth burns with intense heat, then Heaven comes down to earth. Look up partial preterism for a solid Revelation understanding.
