NIV, Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. It's really very important to listen first before we come to a conclusion. 🥰
These videos are the true blessing. R.C. Sproul is one of my favourite pastors-teachers. But we definitely are Christians firstly and then Calvinists. Knowledge is so important, but debating with the Arminian bretheren with love is more important. Greetings from Ukraine (Evangelical Reformed Presbyterian church of Odesa).
This is why I love this man..... He's so honest and diligent with his explanations of terms, etc.... I just came from John Barnett's teaching on Covenant Theology vs Dispensationalism--- He totally misrepresented Covenant Theology....... and I like Barnett......
God gave this man a gift to put into words, what redemption entails in a clear and concise manner. This session was indeed a blessing to partake of. Thank God that we don't have to work our way into heaven. ..The Worker did it for us. Our faith in Jesus carries us over the goal post.
What a beautiful plan of redemption. God truly cares for His creatures as the one who keeps His promise to fulfill the Covenant of Grace in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are nothing but great sinners, and God is nothing short of a great Savior. Thank you, Lord! This is deserving of an “Amen” for all of eternity. Soli Deo gloria!
Truly a teacher of the given word! I really appreciate your teachings & understanding of Grace, works, & faith!!! This is the whole teaching from Genesis to Revelation! Faith without works is truly Dead! If not for the Grace of the LORD through Christ our redeemer as Isaiah foretold, then none of us would have a chance in Hell :)....
Rantings and accusations without evidence is gossip, backbiting, and bearing false witness. Reformers believe in a new birth that changes ones heart, making them want to obey Christ. You are bearing false witness about their beliefs. Bearing false witness means, you are the lawbreaker. Turn from trusting in your "works" because you are a lawbreaker and trust in the finished work of Christ. Much love friend
PRAISE THE LORD JESUS... I thought the exact same thing today, that we are indeed saved by works ....but not by our works, but by the perfect works of Jesus Christ who never sinned but died for my sins and was raised to make me righteous by faith alone! For people confused on why he used that term "saved by works", it's because the Law demanded perfection, and none of us could be sinless and therefore Jesus did ALL the work for us to save us by GRACE through faith apart from works. Now when we believe, our faith is a living faith that produces love - the fruit of the Spirit - therefore our faith has the works of "love" because Christ lives in us to do His good will and pleasure!
Jeremiah 32:40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. If you are denying Calvinistic Reformed faith, read the verse again... and again.. and again untill you get it. - The New Covenant
When He prayed in the garden "let this cup pass me" He loathed that there was going to be a separation between Him and His Father, where previously He had always been present with Him,
PASTOR beautifully done I have a great great problem according to statistics of NDE only 2% of Christians go to heaven 98% go to hell this is very disturbing after all Jesus died on the cross to save each one of us and almost every pasta is in here why something should be done only those worship safety should be in there
The Covenant of Grace is the application of the contractional agreement of the Father and the Son made in eternity and thereby applied by the Holy Spirit to us when we are declared righteous by the gift of faith in the righteousness of His Son. As did Moses has and he ultimately realized, is that the promised land is the temple, Christ, in which he had the privilege of talking with God for eternity.
Unrelated, but this clip reminded me of when I was a kid and thought wide-screen films meant that they were cutting off the top and bottom of the image, rather than broadening the sides.
I needed this. This one is going on my playlist. I perform my works for blessings, but I figure out my own salvation through "fear and trembling" and repent when I have sinned against God and/or my neighbor.
Supersessionism, also called replacement theology, is a Christian doctrine which asserts that the New Covenant through Jesus Christ supersedes the Old Covenant, which was made exclusively with the Jewish people There is more than one covenant (agreement or promise). Genesis 12:1-3(KJV) Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall ALL FAMILIES families of the earth be blessed. The original Covenant with Abram/Abraham say through Abram ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH, the Covenant for the gentiles is in the book of Genesis. Hope this helps friend, Jesus Christ is the King

is a covenant akin to a contract....the idea, of a covenant is that of a stronger party, making an agreement with a weaker partner.....for lack of a better word....
James speaks of works only in that they confirm a true initial faith, not that they are the conduit in which Salvation is received. Our Faith naturally leads to good works(of which were prepared beforehand by God) So James states with multiple examples how men of old exercised their faith by their actions of obedience towards God. When Abraham believed and it was attributed to him as righteousness he ddi not need to preform anything to receive that attribution.
Covenant of works: no amount of “attaboys” can make up for that “oh crap..” Covenant of grace: Jesus, the Son of God and God Himself, took on the full cup/wrath of God for us...

Yes he was. Romans 4:1-3 If Abraham were justified by works, he would have something to glory in, but not before God. Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness. We can justify ourselves before men by good works, but not before God. Romans 4:5-8 But to him that worketh not, does nothing, but believeth on Him who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Faith alone apart from works. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputeth righteousness APART FROM WORKS. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Once we trust Jesus alone apart from works, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14. John 3:18 No longer condemned. it would be helpful to know what constitutes a testament.....and what makes it old, and what makes it new....or does a covenant have to be....verified....by a testament....
the cross. Before the cross, the sin offering was a lamb. But sin was only put off for one year, and then another sacrifice for the following year...and so on. But when Jesus died on the cross...He WAS that sacrificial lamb. And it was His blood that removed sin forever, that justified the sinner and covered the believer with the righteousness of Christ. So Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament. (or "Old Covenant") It would be very helpful and enlightening to you to read the Book of Hebrews (New Testament) because this is all explained there.
That translation more explicitly expresses the original Greek meaning. The “For God so loved” is a traditional phrasing that archaically meant the same as the Spanish phrase. However, it takes on the meaning that it is a love to an extent: God loved the world so much. The meaning in the Greek is that it is a love in a certain way: For in this way God loved the world.
I believe we Chrisitians greatly misunderstand how the "faith" or "faithfulness" plays in the covenants God had made with humanity. On human side, we put faith or believe that God will keep the promise (Grace). On God's side, God put faith or believe that we will keep the promise (works). Otherwise God will not make covenant with humans who have zero interest or ability or tendency to keep it. God is not a fool; He is wise and foresees. The fact that God made a covenant with humanity means He believes us. Finally, it is grace of God who put faith in us that empowers us and encourages us to do our own part to fulfill the promise. For example, the more parents show their confidence in their children, the more the children will do what their parents say. The more parents don't believe their children, the more their children will disobey. It was the Faithfulness of God like a friend, which motivated Abraham to continue to live toward fulfilling the covenant. That's why Paul said, " For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith (God's faithfulness) to faith (faithfulness of His Son) , as it is written, “The righteous shall live by HIS faith (God's or Jesus' faithfulness). Romans 1:17

How telling is it that Sproul's "teaching" here is little more than public speaking? Not once did this man open his Bible or read from the Bible. He made a few ancillary references to Scripture devoid of all context. He mentions the covenant God made with Abraham over circumcision (Gen. 17:10) but what about the three other distinct covenants God made with him? Covenant of land - Gen. 15:18-21 Covenant of offspring/nations - Gen. 17:2-6 Covenant of blessing (Christ) - Gen. 22:17-18 (cf. Lk. 1:72-75) Further, as others have pointed out, there is nothing in Scripture suggesting God made a "covenant" with Adam in the garden. That's pure eisegesis, bringing extra-biblical ideas and applying them to Scripture. The problem with reformed theology is that it requires the adherent to believe God has only had one plan for all of humanity for all time, even though Scripture clearly shows that different peoples at different times have received different messages unto Salvation. God has always seen salvation for humanity as coming from the finished work of Christ on the cross. But that has not always been the message (gospel) for salvation that man has lived by. We live in an age now where the gospel for salvation matches 1:1 with God's plan for salvation, yet people still try to confuse the issue and poison the gospel.
Who ever was saved by their own merit and not through faith in God? There is only ever one means of salvation for anyone who has sinned even just once, by grace through faith in God’s substitutionary provision.
@@K-Wiles I don't disagree with your point, and that's not what I was saying. While there is only one means of salvation from God's point of view, but from humanity's POV the truth ("gospel") that must be believed has changed throughout time. Abram did not believe that Jesus Christ, the son of God, would die on the cross for his sins, be buried, and raised again on the third day. That is *OUR* gospel message, but Abram believed God's promise to him about his seed numbering among the stars (when both he and Sarai were old and she was barren). Despite illogical nature of the promise, Abram believed, "and it was credited to him as righteousness". So too, with us... when we believe the illogical (from the human standpoint) facts of the gospel that Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, it is credited to us as righteousness. The unspiritual/unsaved man cannot comprehend a man rising from the grave, yet God, in his grace and out of his love for us, has given us the gift of faith (Eph. 2:8) so that our minds might be open and we can believe. Sproul (and other covenant theologians) propose an unbiblical "Covenant of Works" that the Bible never explicitly talks about and is actually incredibly difficult even to infer, but is necessary for their interpretive lens that God only has "one people" and has saved them throughout time the exact same way. If you live your life now by Deuteronomy 28's curses and blessings rather than by walking by faith in the Holy Spirit alone, you are outside the will of God (read Galatians). The Bible is clear that God has worked with humanity at different times in different ways -- always by his grace and according to his plan -- and therefore it's error (heresy) to apply promises and doctrine that are meant for other people at other times to ourselves during this Church Age.
@@K-Wiles The gospel hasn't changed at all. Read Galatians 3:8. Abraham was preached the gospel. And there's only one gospel. Abraham looked forward to the Messiah. We look back. You missed that when RC mentioned it at the end.

I disagree that works no longer had relevance in the old testament after the covenant of work had been broken, or after the disobedience of Adam. Old Testament saints could not have been saved by putting their faith in Christ because Christ had not yet died and rosed again. Old Testament saints were saved by putting their faith in God and by works until the time of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The works they performed were the sacrifice of animals. This is how the sins of those under the law were forgiven or atoned for. Then after Christ died on the cross, we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as taught by the Apostle Paul. During the time of Christ's ministry Jews were saved by believing in Jesus and being baptized. Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be, saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: The dispensationalist view cannot be denied or overlooked.
Read hebrews 10 brother, no one was ever saved by animal sacrifices, also Romans 3:21-26 all were saved by Christ, some just looked forward in faith to a Messiah and some could see the revealed Messiah was Jesus.

Hebrews 13:5 He will never leave us or forsake us.
@@jimkraft9445 Faith is not a meritorious work in "Calvinistic" theology. It is only the instrument by which sinners receive the salvation of God through Jesus Christ alone. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. I have no sins to pay for. Jesus already paid my sin debt in full. John 3:18
This is a theology that stands in opposition to the actual text of Scripture. There is no 'covenant of works' because God no where uses the term covenant until Scripture gets to Noah. Adam and Eve had a decree from God to rule and reign over the earth, to have dominion, and that they would lose it if they transgressed by eating of the tree. The only 'work' so-called that God directed them to DO was to AVOID a tree. This is hardly aptly described as a 'work' approaching God; its just the opposite: a decree of avoidance! Everything else they might have done was in their freedom to do, having a condition prior to the knowledge of 'evil' or corruption. And the last two 'covenants', grace and redemption are neither in Scripture because they are superfluously worded: redemption is accomplished by grace, and neither are spoken of by God as 'covenants' but happen through faith in the God who accomplishes them. As every example of salvation shows: Adam having faith in God's decree of redemption in Gen 3. This spawned the Melchizedekian priesthood until Abraham's reception of God's decree to accomplish the same through 'land, nation, and blessing" as head of all the nations, which the final Melchizedekian priesthood acknowledged, and whose order of which Jesus became a priest as the second Adam, that is, the final King-Priest of the World. The Old Covenant formed the nation Israel in Mosaic practice holding the Messiah's line until the New Covenant secured the headship over every nation once its Messiah arrived. The end of days will see the non-national church raptured (i.e. Bride/Body of Christ) where the National headship of Israel can be reestablished unto the return of the King of Kings, (i.e. nations), and high Priest forever. Amen.
Read the book "Abraham's Four Seeds" by John Reisinger to see the problems with Reformed Covenant Theology, which is about 400 years old, and Dispensational Theology, which is about 200 years old. Both man-made systems fail to agree with Galatians chapters 3, and 4. Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made systems of interpretation fall apart.
brother, with all due respect, have you really disproved dispensationalism when Jeremiah plainly says it is to the TRIBE OF ISRAEL and to the TRIBE OF JUDAH (no Gentiles there); your verses in Hebrews are written to, well, HEBREWS (not Gentiles); and your verses in II Corinthians 3 do not contain the word “covenant” but rather “testament”? In fact, the word “covenant” isn’t found in the entire book of II Corinthians. To an impartial observer outside of either camp, it may read like you simply and directly reinforced dispensationalism. Maranatha.
@@hereticus40 You are ignoring what happened on the Day of Pentecost when Peter addressed the crowd as "men of Judea", and as "men of Israel", and as "all the housed of Israel". On that day about 3,000 Israelites accepted the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. The Gentiles were not grafted in until several years later. The Book of Hebrews was written to Christians of Hebrews heritage who were having problems letting go of the Old Covenant. We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. The same Greek word "diatheke",which is translated as "covenant" in Hebrews 12:24 of the KJV, is the same Greek word Paul used in 2 Cor. 3:6-8. Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ? (Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30) The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations? 1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Galatians 3:8) 2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ? 3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds? 4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh? 5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers? 6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"? 7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost? 8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.) 9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? 10. Watch the RUclips video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology. Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:
“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.” Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107. Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.” Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323. John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated… "...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.” John F. @@SpotterVideoYou're correct about dispensationalism. You don't need the Bible to disprove it. The first sermon on it was in 1825 by Edward Irving. But your amil view of 2 Peter 3 isn't conclusive because it doesn't follow from the text that the entire universe will be obliterated. It says there will be a new earth in v 13. That is a renewed Earth, changed earth and transformed earth mentioned in Romans 8. 2 Peter is a repeat of Matthew 24.
If God is God, why did he let Satan come into the Garden? ...because God would be an unfair God if he gave us free choice, but then no choices than what choice did they have? God spoke to them, and if they didn’t hear anything else but God, what’s the point of free choice? That’s why he let the serpent in God says something, the serpent says something else, and they believe the serpent and choose to disobey God because God is Holy, they had to separate from God in sin and ever since there’s been a war and the war one day will end when every single person on the planet hears about Jesus has the same opportunity as Adam and Eve. The insanity of Calvinism is clearly told by RC. Sproul on answering a question on predestination, in short “…That God positively decrees and determines in advance those whom he will save namely the elect and in the same method he decrees the damnation of the sinner and that just as on the one hand he creates positively saving faith in the hearts of the elect he in an equally determined fashion creates fresh EVIL in the hearts of the reprobate to make sure they don’t come to BELIEVE “ James 1:13 Jeremiah 7:30-31 - “‘The people of Judah have DONE EVIL in my eyes, declares the Lord. They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my Name and have defiled it. They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire-SOMETHING I DID NOT COMMAND, NOR DID IT ENTER MY MIND. James 1:13 “Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one”. Genesis 6:6 debunks Calvinism's false teaching that He "predestined" everything including the fall of man, sin, and evil. Calvinists also believe that God created man and then INTENTIONALLY predestined his fall and predestined sin and evil. If that is true, then it makes no logical sense for God to feel regret and be deeply troubled afterwards. Hence, the errant belief that God predestined the fall of man is debunked and blown out of the water. Genesis 6:6 - The Lord REGRETTED that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was DEEPLY TROUBLED. If YOU create something and then intentionally engineer it for FAILURE, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE FEELING REGRET AND BE TROUBLED AFTERWARDS. Jeremiah 7:30-31 - “‘The people of Judah have DONE EVIL in my eyes, declares the Lord. They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my Name and have defiled it. They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire-SOMETHING I DID NOT COMMAND, NOR DID IT ENTER MY MIND The Bible teaches John 3:16, NOT "John Calvin 3:16".
Does God know everything? Ignoring the point of whether he caused it or not. if he knew what is going to happen why would he feel sorrow and remorse in that moment.
I have been trying to reach you to ask you - do you believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit have ceased as it falsely taught by John MacArthur? I don't think it's wise to brush this 'topic' under the carpet.
That's a untrue statement. It's easy to take something someone says out of context to make it appear that a lie is being told. In the true context, John Macarthur explains it beautifully and scripturally without error. False teachers in false churches use demonic forces wittingly and unwittingly to make it appear a person is "speaking in tongues" when in fact it's non-language mumbo jumbo. Last I checked there was only one day of Pentecost and other times of gifts in that period such as shortly afterwards some of John the Baptists converts who were baptized in water and only later baptized in the Holy Spirit when the Apostle Peter laid hands on them were then talking in tongues separate from the day of Pentecost but specific to that place and time to show gifts and wonders. It should be noted that they actually spoke in real verifiable foreign tongues and not meaningless mumblings or screaming, laughing or whatever the modern day Pentecostal clown car sideshow presents. But this is nothing new, demonic forces have been trying to alter the true Gospel and the Word of God since the time of Adam and Eve. It's a battle that will continue until Jesus returns and Satan is finally utterly deposed. And those in the fake churches following the wide path to the wide gate will say to the Lord that they have worked wonders in His name and the Lord will say depart from me, I never knew you. The times of gifts and wonders ended when the last Apostle John died. Don't buy the Roman Catholic lie that the Apostolic succession continues. Speaking of false churches, the Roman church is the widest of the wide paths to the wide gate. Salvation is by Grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and specifically in that order. You can't buy it, earn it by good deeds or anything else. If God doesn't Grace you with the gift of seeing in yourself your truly pathetic rotten soul and you beg for mercy you're condemned and lost forever. End of story.

@@alexh2790 As long as "reading the entire Bible" happens somewhere, sometime, people should see through this fog. He's obviously a skilled orator, tracing his lineage back through to Augustine himself... granted, Augustine was a Gnostic, and that's the rub. Gnostic ideas presented as Christianity, using the same verses that were used to support the same ideas way back in the first few centuries AD -- which the early Church fathers argued vehemently against. These ideas have been polished and passed on through Luther, Calvin, Spurgeon, Sunday, and up to today through "reformed" Calvinists like Sproul and MacArthur. Like handing someone a pair of glasses through which one must read the Bible, which effectively filters out most of the Book, leaving only concepts. So, yeah, I would prefer he read the entire Bible, to himself if not to them. Granted, it's a little late for that now, for Sproul. RIP...
@@wagnervana2000 There is no denying that Augustine was influenced by philosophical schools of thought that existed during his era; however, he was influential in developing Christian doctrine that is still biblically sound. I don't know your church background, but I was raised in a somewhat brethren church with a strong dispensational leaning and a preference for the King James Version. As such "Calvinism" was a dirty word for much of my early life. As I started to watch debates and explore the arguments of reformed thinkers I realised that there were good reasons for why they landed where they did theologically and arrived at their positions precisely because they were sincere in their desire to be true to God's word. Obviously there are doctrines that are absolutely non negotiable; however, I think there is room to debate many things within the family of the church, especially regarding areas where a clear answer cannot be found in scripture. If you dont already have an opinion on him I would suggest looking at some of the debates James White has engaged in. Thanks
“Covenant of redemption” is not found in the Bible, neither is there a hint of any such thing. “Covenant of works” is not found in the Bible. “Covenant of grace” is not found in the Bible. But there is a “dispensation of the grace of God.” (Eph 3:2) Interesting.
Ephesians 3:2 "The dispensarion of God's grace that was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation..." That dispensation or stewardship, as translated in the ESV, is not the dispensationalism that you believe in. Paul is just telling them he's an agent of revelation of God

PRAISE THE LORD JESUS...
I thought the exact same thing today,
that we are indeed saved by works ....but not by our works, but by the perfect works of Jesus Christ who never sinned but died for my sins and was raised to make me righteous by faith alone!
For people confused on why he used that term "saved by works",
it's because the Law demanded perfection, and none of us could be sinless
and therefore Jesus did ALL the work for us to save us by GRACE through faith apart from works.
Now when we believe, our faith is a living faith that produces love - the fruit of the Spirit - therefore our faith has the works of "love" because Christ lives in us to do His good will and pleasure!
Take my Savior off that cross!

When I think of Covenant Theology, I think of Replacement Theology. Care to correct me?
Supersessionism, also called replacement theology, is a Christian doctrine which asserts that the New Covenant through Jesus Christ supersedes the Old Covenant, which was made exclusively with the Jewish people
There is more than one covenant (agreement or promise).

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall ALL FAMILIES families of the earth be blessed.

When Abraham believed and it was attributed to him as righteousness he ddi not need to preform anything to receive that attribution.

John 3.16....translated from Spanish de tal manera....in such a way....which may mean something different....For God so.....
What are you taking about??
Romans 1:17
But, if you mean that God elects those based on foreseen faith in them, you are holding to Arminianism.

Covenant of offspring/nations - Gen. 17:2-6
Covenant of blessing (Christ) - Gen. 22:17-18 (cf. Lk. 1:72-75)
Further, as others have pointed out, there is nothing in Scripture suggesting God made a "covenant" with Adam in the garden.

I never knew you , you who practice lawlessnes!!!! What is sin? How does the Bible define sin??? Transgression of the law!!!!! Jesus did not abolish the law and neither did anyone e else in New testament. Seek , knock and search scripture and find d yourselves worthy.
Come out of her my people!!!! You can't reform roman catholic beliefs Into truth bc Roman catholic teachings and doctrines wernt truth. It was half truth half pagan , for.ed by Constantine to unite his land. Please people, do not be decieved. Wake up. Seek knock and search.....in love and truth. My heart breaks. Please listen
Salvation by grace(that is available through Christs work) of which allows Faith(in said work) that is then evidenced by the subsequent fruits & works of the Spirit.
Be careful what you say.
And avoid false preachers like Sproul, MacArthur, Washer, etc..
God so loved the world.....has been determined to be a miss translation.....that should have read .....in this manner....what manner the same as Mosses having lifted up the serpent, in the wilderness....which gives a false teaching, about the love of God, toward humanity....
The old Testament saints did not have the seal of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30, Our guarantee of eternal life by faith alone.
The OT Saint were also filled by the Holy Spirit, but He manifested differently until Pentecost.

How can I be glorifying Satan for preaching the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.
I am glorifying God For sending His own Son to pay for the sins of the whole world, First John 2:2, so that anyone who would believe on Him alone would be saved John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE.
First Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us who are saved it is the POWER of God.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
First Corinthians 1:21 For after that, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. John 3:16-18. God can not lie. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, physical death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. The GIFT of God is eternal life. A GIFT is paid in full by the GIVER. Jesus is the GIFT of God. John 10:28-29. First John 5:13 John 3:18. Gods word, not mine. Man can do nothing to save himself. Jesus paid the debt and set us free. No longer condemned to hell. John 5:24. First John 2:2.
If what the bible says is not true, then you need to argue with God. He is the one who wrote the book. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30. John 6:47. Romans 3:26-28 For He is the just and the justifier of them that BELIEVE in Jesus. Where is boasting then? You can not boast in a free GIFT.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
The dispensationalist view cannot be denied or overlooked.
Read hebrews 10 brother, no one was ever saved by animal sacrifices, also Romans 3:21-26 all were saved by Christ, some just looked forward in faith to a Messiah and some could see the revealed Messiah was Jesus.
A covenant is an agreement between two. We are not in a covenant. We are in a dispensation of grace. Grace is that now eternal life is given as a free gift by faith alone. We have to believe it to be saved. John six:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH, PRESENT TENSE, EVERASTING LIFE. Once we believe it, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30.
The second we believe on Jesus as our only way of salvation apart from works we are given eternal life. Romans 4:5-8 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputeth righteousness apart from works. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered, blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Our sin debt is paid in full, past, present, and future sins we have not even thought of yet. John 3:18. Believers can no longer be condemned to hell because our sin debt is paid in full and we have been given His perfect righteousness and eternal life as a free gift.
Romans 11:29 For the GIFTS and calling of God are without repentance. Irrevocable, Can not be changed back. Once we accept Jesus plus nothing for the free gift of eternal life, we can no longer go to hell for any reason. We have been stamped, PAID IN FULL.
And it is available to every one in the whole world by faith alone apart from works. First John 2:2.It is Gods will that everyone believe and be saved, but only those who have believed are saved. Those that believe it of their own free will.
We are not in a covenant?
The Lord Jesus said "This cup is the new covenant in my blood".
Also, you realise everything in reformed theology is in agreement with what you've said, apart from your last couple of sentences.
Those last two sentences are important. Why I am not a Calvinist. A person can believe they are chosen, and never believe the gospel, First Corinthians 15:3-4. and be saved.
Faith is not a work. John six:47. John 3:sixteen. Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it. John 3;18 John six29 and John six40 Gods word, not mine. And He can not lie.
And the P is false. We do not persevere in the faith to stay saved. We are saved when we believe. First Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, after we have once believe, He abideth faithful, He can not deny Himself. Ephesians 1:13. Sealed by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30. Hebrews 13:5 He will never leave us or forsake us.
@@jimkraft9445 Faith is not a meritorious work in "Calvinistic" theology. It is only the instrument by which sinners receive the salvation of God through Jesus Christ alone. It is the command of God for every human being on this to repent and believe the gospel, and the promise of forgiveness and eternal life is to all who will believe (John 6).
"Calvinism" is simply seeking to be faithful to Scripture. I don't want to defend "Calvinism". I only want to honour the word of God.
Does not the Scripture teach that Christians are chosen by God? - e.g. Ephesians 1:11, 2 Thessalonians 2:13.
We are chosen when we believe the gospel. First Corinthians 15:3-4 Acts sixteen:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after ye heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your salvation, in whom also AFTER, ye believed, ye were sealed by that Holy Spirit of promise. Our guarantee of eternal life.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. I have no sins to pay for. Jesus already paid my sin debt in full. John 3:18
How strange.
Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Galatians 3:8)
(See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107.
Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323.
John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated…
"...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.”
John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25

Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth?
Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups?

@@SpotterVideoYou're correct about dispensationalism. You don't need the Bible to disprove it. The first sermon on it was in 1825 by Edward Irving.
But your amil view of 2 Peter 3 isn't conclusive because it doesn't follow from the text that the entire universe will be obliterated. It says there will be a new earth in v 13. That is a renewed Earth, changed earth and transformed earth mentioned in Romans 8. 2 Peter is a repeat of Matthew 24.
Like many errors, the devil is in the details. In this case, there is a false dichotomy set up between faith and works. That's never been the issue.
R.C sproul gave a talk on God's sovereignty and free will. I found it to be a useful perspective.
Does God know everything? Ignoring the point of whether he caused it or not. if he knew what is going to happen why would he feel sorrow and remorse in that moment.
He feels it because he is a relational God and any straining of the relationship between him and Humanity causes grief.
Ultimately I agree that it is not the teachings of Calvin that saves, but Christ.

Let's craft a mythology, couch it in Christian terms, present it passionately enough to get everyone on the same page, and then try to find scripture to (seemingly) support it. Present concepts first, then scripture. Cart Before Horse. It's fascinating, really....

We are given eternal life after we have believed, not before. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit after we believe not before.
First John 2:2. Christ died for the sins of the whole world. First Timothy 2:4 It is Gods will that everyone believe and receive the free gift of eternal life. But, only those who have believed are saved.
John six:40 Verily, Verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgement, but is passed from death unto life.
Romans six:23 For the wages of sin is death, and we all sin, First John 1:8, and we all die, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, because no one can earn it. The GIFT of God is eternal life, not a reward for good behavior. We are saved the instant we believe it. John six:47
Romans 11:29 For the gifts, eternal life, And calling of God are without repentance. Irrevocable. Can not be changed back. Once you believe it, you are saved forever. No longer condemned. John 3:18 All our sins are paid, past, present, and future sins we have not even thought of yet. Paid in full. John 10:28-29 Double eternal security, based on what Jesus did for us, not on what we do. We can not save ourselves.
Very unbiblical teaching😅😅😅
You’re probably one of those heretics who hate the Great Saint Paul.
