Great video brings back lots of memories. I was there some years back, for 10 nights doing a manic museums-galleries-churches-palaces ''crawl''. Even went to the Uffizi twice, making sure to be among the first to get in before the BIG groups/crowds poured in (which is usually 30 to 40 minutes after opening). Didn't have time to be at an eatery so lived on bollito and lampredotto sandwiches or grabbed some groceries from a medium-sized grocer near the Duomo (don't bother with those narrow-shop 'grocers'). The regret is I did not add on a 2 to 3 night stay in another Tuscan city, Siena, and an overnight in Pisa.
Hi guy's thanks for this informative video. It looks like you had a pretty amazing trip. I adore Italy. I was there in June/July travelling around the South and staying indoors Naples. I will certainly go to Florence for sure it looks beautiful. Did you find it expensive to dine out? The food looked awesome 👌 Thanks again
So glad you liked it! If you try you can spend a lot, but we thought it was not that expensive to eat at the restaurants. Additionally they do not tip in Italy which makes it cheaper. Our tip to keep dinner cheap is skip the cocktails and just grab a $25 bottle of wine at the restaurant. it makes the dinner feel nicer and is so much cheaper

Venice is great, but surely it warrants more than a day trip from Florence! Of course, I also feel Cinque Terre deserves more than a day trip from Florence. Like at least time enough to hike between the five lands and stay overnight.
For sure, you could definitely stay in Venice and Cinque Terre for more than a day but a day for those was ample time for us. If we had an opportunity to stay in Italy longer we would have done those places longer. We actually were planning on going to Pisa instead of Cinque Terre but there was a train strike that day. Be sure to check out our Cinque Terre video as we did a hike and saw all 5 towns and check out our Venice video as well!
