In this video, I rank all of the Harry Potter movies from worst to best. This list was extremely difficult to make because every movie is wonderful in it's own way.

Agreed, Deathly Hallows should of been one film not 2. Just like the hobbit should of been 2 films at best not 3. Bu5 money talkes eh
Haven’t seen even one Harry Potter film nor read any of the books, my son watched them. Haha

5: Prisoner of Azkaban: overrated and needs to get rid of screenwriter (he is the reason I don’t care for movie)

Lauren Hutton Solid lists! There is a distinction between best made and favorite. Prisoner of Azkaban is probably the overall best made movie, but for me Deathly Hallows part 2 was a smidge better because of the action payoff and the Snape scene that completely changes how you view the entire franchise. I got into Harry Potter for the first time in my life in 2020 during the Covid Quarantine. I read the books before I watched the movies so there's my bias. It's hard not to compare the books and the movies. If I watched the movies first maybe my ranking would be different. I'll just have 3 tier lists.
Great: Prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Phoenix, Deathly Hallows Part 2
Solid: Sorceror's (Philosopher's Stone), Chamber of Secrets, Deathly Hallows Part 1
Disappointing: Goblet of Fire, Half-Blood Prince
I agree that the Sorceror's Stone's special effects have aged poorly.
I wish Alfonso Cuarón directed more of them he really nails the cinematography.
Order of the Phoenix has my favorite scene of the whole series, the fight at the end between Dumbledore and Voldemort. I actually enjoy the political aspect of that film.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the Star Wars films, Lord of the Rings, and The Dark Knight trilogy if you needed some video ideas.

I agree. The fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort in Order of the Phoenix is 1 of the best scenes in all of Harry Potter. I still think Snape’s scene in Deathly Hallows 2 is the best but your pick is definitely a close 2nd or 3rd.
I understand why the politics was in it but it’s just frustrating for US as an audience because WE know Voldemort returned, but the characters refused to accept it. That was intended for us to feel frustrated like Harry because nobody listened to him or Dumbledore.
I just finished watching Lord of the Rings extended cuts on 4K blu ray and will start The Hobbit trilogy today. This Harry Potter ranking video has gotten quite a lot of views! Especially in the last week or so. I’ll probably do a similar format video for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I’m a big fan of Lord of the Rings so it will be fun nerding out over the epicness of the movies with my subscribers. Thanks for the future video idea.

Solid ranking! We're mostly in agreement. It was definitely tough between Deathly Hallows Part 2 and Prisoner of Azkaban for the #1 spot. That was the hardest to choose. Thanks for watching and commenting your list!
it is actualy very interesting to se a point of view from a people who likes the movies, but hasnt read the books.
for me it was all the time waching the movie like comparing all the thinks to the book, it is actualy no surprise to me how goblet of fire is so up there.
Thanks for the comment! I really liked Goblet of Fire because it was the movie that Voldemort returned and things really began to get darker for the franchise going forward. That and the triwizard tournament was fun to watch.
Imo:
1. Philosopher's Stone - totally biased from nostalgia.
2. Deathly Hallows Part 2 - an epic ending
3. Goblet of Fire - great ending and many interesting events happen throughout
4. Order of the Phoenix - last act is great and Umbridge is a brilliant villain
5. Prisoner of Azkaban - probably the best movie, just the storyline doesn't interest me as much as the rest
6. Deathly Hallows Part 1 - has grown on me a lot since it's release
7. Chamber of Secrets - slightly too long
8. Half Blood Prince - has always been my least favourite - too focused on drama and is very dreary throughout

Hey man, my opinion is no more valid than yours. If you don't like movies that I like then that's perfectly fine. We're allowed to disagree. There's no right and wrong here brother. I love ALL of the HP movies for different reasons, Deathly Hallows Part 1 just happens to be my least favorite because of it's super slow pacing halfway through. That's my main gripe about it. And part 2 is just incredible. Thanks for watching and sharing your ranking!
