Just fyi, the "soup pourer" is actually a "paint pourer" for which that would fit on a standard 1 gallon paint can quite well and the viscosity of the paint prevents it from leaching under the item. It eliminates the build-up of flow-back paint along the rim which inhibits putting the lid back on. And hence the rubber construction which makes for easy clean-up once any paint left on it is dry. Actually, this is a brilliantly designed item.

@@dittohead7044like many As Sold On TV items, this is likely an attempt to expand the use of a niche item. In this case a paint pourer.

I’d almost forgotten about the blackening toaster! It reminded me of the hand mixer my good friend and her roommate got their first year at Johns Hopkins. One afternoon, while E was taking a bubble bath, her roomie decided to use the hand mixer she’d gotten for opening her bank account to make a chocolate cake. (Remember the days of getting small appliances when you opened accounts at new banks?). Anyway, E heard a yell from the kitchen. Roomie came into the bathroom covered in cake batter from the waist up. She’d turned the mixer on to 2. After seeing that the counters, cupboards, walls and ceiling were splattered with chocolate cake batter, they decided that the mixer’s settings started at “whip” and went all the way to “atomize”.

Also, if you angle your knife as you get to the bottom and let the tip of the blade cut the bottom as you pull it through you would maybe have better luck. I totally enjoy your videos! They were solar powered and back then did manage to keep the cabin air temperature to a manageable "I can at least grip the steering wheel." without burning my hands off. Back then they worked. Parking orientation seems to have been a factor. East to West perpendicular parking orientation of the sun was the best.
Cut to now the Lanmodo Car Tent is the overall winner in my book when it comes to keeping the interior cabin cool in the summer and in the winter a respectably snow free vehicle.

The laser scissor is for paper. You are supposed to make a starting cut aim the laser and then GLIDE the scissors straight to the other side following the lasers path.

This is so depressing to watch, love the video, but I can definitely see people that made them reach that sweet spot of "Ok, this doesn't work but it looks like it could and it is cheap enough that people will buy it just to try it out, let's make a batch of them!"

Weekly Meeting at the Chinese Assembly Plant.
Quality Control Manager: This product is poorly designed, does not work as intended and immediately breaks when you try to use it.
Assembly Manager: Oh no. We made 10 million of them.
Factory Manager: Hmm.. You should have told me sooner. Ahh.. I know. We'll sell them on Amazon and eBay before the Big Boss finds out. I'll get the Marketing Manager to write some great reviews.
Managers (in chorus): A brilliant idea, Chief. That's why you are the mover and shaker.

The soup spout would have possibly worked better if your pots weren't shaped bulged out. Flatter, more cylindrical would have been a better test.

Solid picks. Just note that your #4 slicing guide must have been advertised wrong as well as built badly. Well built ones are great for cutting 1 or 2 egg sized items & I find it’s easier to wash by hand than the wire slicers.
“Is it easy to clean?” is my top metric for kitchen gadgets. If you’re doing large volumes, the metal wire slicers win handily for efficiency as clean time is less of a factor. But if you’re cooking for 1-2 and don’t have a dishwasher, or don’t run it every day, I can recommend the classic version of this slicer.
I thrifted a classic aluminum one & use it on hard boiled eggs, mushrooms, olives, & small fruits all the time. The trick is turning it upside down & cutting toward the open end with a medium sized knife.
Bonus tip: To dice eggs, cut the first lines, then rotate it so those lines are parallel to the opening. Then after the 2nd cuts you can hold it sideways to support the julienned egg on the slats while doing the final rotation to cut dice.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who had problems with the laser scissors. I thought this would be the answer to my problem since I can’t cut straight but it just made it worse. I ended up throwing them away.

I think the slicer holder deserves a second chance with a better cutting technique. I didn't watch the original but it looked like you were just pressing down with the top half of the knife in the clips you used. This probably won't work unless your knife is extremely sharp, so I could see why you'd end up with messed up tomatoes.
If there's a next time, try cutting by starting at the base of the knife, then pulling it towards you while applying downwards pressure, you might get cleaner cuts that way.

The actual ORIGINAL product was for egg slicing. Someone just reboxed a vintage product without any redesign at all. Works great with eggs.
Regarding the knife, you’re spot on. Don’t bother slicing tomatoes unless you have a sharp knife.

Thank you ranking the toaster so high but it's not really a problem with this particular Toaster more with a lot of them even from name brands. I've tried several and almost every toaster BURNT the bread beyond a medium setting. I'm yet to find one with gradually and evenly toasts
