I don't know if it's the same for everyone else but if you want a reusable straw, you're probably not the kinda person who will be going into Starbucks and getting disposable cups. I tend to stay away from plastic drink cups.
Yep. Almost no one who wants to live Green will drive(!) to the next XYZ to get a disposebale Cup and get back. It's more for home usage or maybe when you go out, get a cocktail, and would get a disposable Straw in your reusable Glass or something. And after all... if you didn't have a problem with disposable cups, you wouldn't give a single Shit about Straws anyways. The plastic lid is propably more Plastic anyway, plus the Cup itself out of Paper (or even more Plastic...) Plus for Citizens of the EU, including myself, desposable plastic Straws will be forbidden in 2021. So either you won't get a straw at all or you can (propably) only get one reusable in the Bar or whatever that you need to give em Back.
Straw would be nice in places like the San Diego Zoo and other places that have banned straws and lids. If you're there with your little kids and they spill a lot when the drink is not covered, so they need a straw and for you to hold the cup. I don't blame the zoo, I blame all the lazy a$$ people that couldn't walk a few extra steps to a trash can to put the straws and lids into, so they don't end up in with the animals.
I actually carry a reusable straw, not because I'm necessarily trying to be green, but because none of my local restaurants offer straws anymore, and the cold bothers my teeth.
I’m glad I watched this video! My partner is very hard to shop for lol. The flexit flashlight would make a perfect gift! He works for UPS and I think the product would make his life a little easier. Wonder if the flashlight will stick to the inside of the truck walls? 🧐
The only correct answer is to only own one of them (times the number of beds you own) That way you take it off, wash it, and put it back on the bed, you never need to fold it.
A woman I knew who worked in the bedding department could fold them pretty well but not well enough to be considered "new". I worked in display and always used the patterns I liked so I could buy those "damaged" goods plus my discount. My twin bed was always dressed beautifully.
I got a telescoping straw last spring at an international tournament I worked at. It wasn’t expensive and the organization had the cases printed with their logo. I carry it in my purse and use it when I’m out to eat. Works just fine.
@@DonnaMSchmid I don't think he does. Bailey looks what I like to call "pluffy" and that's taking into consideration her thick fur. I think James gets weak with her and slips snacks, lol. Or baby needs a walk but wow, Vegas has to be scorching most of the year.
I have two adult sons, a son-in-law, a step-father, and three brothers I have a hard time finding Christmas gifts for. Unless you outdo yourself between now and when I start my Christmas shopping for 2020, they are all getting a Flex-it 2.0. Thanks!!
I only buy one gift for each of my grandchildren. Adults get checks. I got tired of giving and receiving useless gifts that we would designate to a box somewhere until we finally donated to a thrift shop. We buy too much crap! Christmas shouldn't be a buying spree. It has been so easy to enjoy the holidays now without the commercialism. Every year people feel they have to buy more and go deeper into debt. Time to make new rules for your family. edit: I forgot to mention that 1. only have one grandchild born at this time (one on the way) but still send money for preparation. 2. the one grandchild already born gets a check in with the one for his parents.
Ha. I have one of those and literally thought the exact same thing when I got mine. I don’t understand how they came up with the name and the logo on it is a crest with BL. Strange.
Definitely showing my wife the reusable straw segment. So many of your points validate what I have been telling her for YEARS, especially "it's a viable option".
Okay, for better results folding shirts with the first gadget, grab the hem of the shirt at the two sides and shake it before you put it down. That should eliminate the bunched up front.
@@tommytoms5445 Lay the shirt flat. Look at the hem of the shirt, this is the lowest edge. Notice the middle portion of the hemmed area, do not clasp this portion. Notice the shirt has side seams, take hold of the hem at these 2 side seams. Use google translate in future.
I adore silicone straws! My favorites are the slightly wider straws than you've shown but I also have those exact straws and they work well. Due to my health, I am in bed often. The "bendiness" helps me sip from a laying position and the silicone does not hurt my teeth (I sometimes have muscle spasms and metal against teeth is quite awful). They are easy to clean with any straw brush and don't mold easily. If you often eat out, you can buy silicone straws with metal bottoms that will easily poke through disposable lids.
@@mjc0961 I don't eat out at all (health) and so I never use disposable containers. But I'm not going to judge someone that eats out as most fast food eateries (and most restaurants in general) won't allow you to bring in outside containers.
@zerotoeleven I freaking adore my bed so I'm happy to answer. I needed the most comfortable, soft bed to absorb my body and, after a dozens of mattress shops, I found the Serta iComfort Wellbeing Refined. I've made everyone who stays with us try it and they cannot believe how soft it is. It is like sleeping on the most pressure relieving cloud mixed with the gravity free feeling of a hammock. It isn't for everyone but I adore it. After almost 5 years of owning it, I'm still so thankful on a regular basis that I own this mattress. That all sounds dramatic but it has made a huge difference. (A trick for shopping for soft mattresses is to go to a local mattress store and ask to see their most soft mattress. I was in a reclining wheelchair full-time and so my husband did this with stores by himself. And then he narrowed it down to a few and I made the trip to see "the winners". It wasn't any competition; this bed won easily and immediately.)
@@fightingfaerie Not just that, but you don't have to worry about having the right notebook for what you're doing. You can have a notepad at work and at home. Or one that lives on your desk and one that lives in your bag. Personally, I wind up with tons of notebooks that wind up only being partially used, so this would clear a lot of clutter very quickly.
Chris L personally I think the biggest selling point is that you can search for something and it will find the notes where you had written about that thing. Rather than having to look through possibly hundreds of pictures of notes for the one you want, it will find it for you.
I have that exact cutter/sealer tool. I love it! My cutter works fine. You have to make sure you are using the slanted edge of the blade, or it doesn’t cut right. So you have to make sure you’re moving it in the right direction.
I got the biggest laugh watching you seal the bags of chips. My dogs heard the sound and ACCOSTED ME!!!! Needless to say...I then had to go give them said chips!!!
That’s what I was go I g to say. Department and clothing stores have those on rolling carts for folding clothes on displays. As someone commented above, if you had a shoulder or arm injury and are operating in “handicapped” mode, it’s pretty helpful. Also might get your kids more inclined to properly fold their shirts.
I’m definitely getting that rocket book, that thing is really cool! I’m always grabbing for paper to doodle ideas down and this would be perfect!!! I love it!
•Try the environmental straw with an icee. •The big red flashlight looks like an old school hot water bottle😂 •You should of tested the ink on the 16 minute mark to test if it's really smudge proof.

Upgrade to some decent alkaline types and these are actually kinda bad-ass.
Really??? I'm tempted. I've seen those or something similar before on these kind of vids, in my OCD makes folding shirts an impossible way to win. Saves time too? Idk, that's like, super life changing LOL I'm not good with change. Joke (the only one that I can remember by the way): Q) why did the lady walk outside with her purse open? ~your turn to answer~ 🦗🦗🦗 A) she expected some change in the weather 🥴🍅🥁
Stores have had the clothes folder for ages! When I worked at Target, we had those to use, but it took too long, so I always folded the clothes manually. Not quite as pretty, but way faster.
the issue I see with that chip bag resealer is that chips are packaged in Nitrogen Gas to help preserve them. Resealing the bag with oxygen won't keep them very long. They will still lose flavour and become stale, grant it perhaps 1 or 2 days longer than if you hadn't sealed the bag at all.
The higher quality the stainless steel is, the less magnetic it is. I can't even hang any magnets on the front of my fridge, only the side. No fridge photos for me. =(
I play world of warcraft and some quests are just too confusing and I was trying to screen shot but in Raids or such not fun, this would be useful too.
I actually use my Rocketbook for notes in the campaign I'm in and it's great! I've been using a Rocketbook for for almost 3 years now (only in the last year have I started using it for D&D) and I heavily recommend it. The Frixion pen that comes with it is the best type of Frixion pen and I purchase a pack from Amazon when I start to run low.
"It's like when you'e a kid eating your cereal in the morning and you had the bendy straw". Dude, it must've been tough growing up in your house. My Mom would usually put a spoon on the table.
I love my Rocketbook. My favorite part is the transcription, it isn’t perfect, but then when I want to find a specific note it is much easier to search for based on keywords I knew were in the note. I use mine for business and find this the only useful note taking I’ve done in the business world, because I can easily access the notes at a later time (even without remembering exactly when I wrote it down - thanks to the transcription.).
I'm surprised that you are reviewing the rocketbook. I have to say that it's amazing and I have been using one since last September. I'm very happy with it. The reviews recommend getting a second cloth for wiping it-- and I did end up getting that. Also, lately, I've been using a soft sponge on it to wipe it down (and using the cloth to dry it off) since I usually end up with a lot of pages that I need to scan and then wipe down at one time.
A while back, I used to work at the Disney Store in the mall. I used the shirt folding item. I LOVED IT!!!!! It made folding shirts so much easier, since I had to fold 2 boxes of unfolded shirts at a time. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!
One question has been in the back of my mind with every review video I’ve watched on your channel, where do you store all the items you’ve reviewed? You must have phenomenal storage!
but a fiddly bag sealer that requires you to have the sides nice and flat and even speed down the entire bag so the heat can fuse the sides correctly is going to be right up her alley.. that thing is going to go straight to the trash after a week.
I'm just now remembering that my mom did away with bags and boxes when we were growing up and we kept our cereal in a plastic canister on the counter. It was of course a set so it fit in alongside the flour, sugar, cornmeal, etc. Bless kids hearts but remembering to put things away and doing them *properly* is an uphill battle.
I like the steel retractable straw, fits on my key chain! I purchased one for all our county volunteers at the animal shelters, libraries and other sites. I also use the everlast EVERY DAY and I love it. Just don't forget it somewhere hot, the ink will go clear and you'll have to stick it in the freezer and hope it comes back 🤣
First of all I don't like straws anyway... I am an adult I can drink out of a cup. Plus I don't take drinks on the go, I have my own drinks with me. I tried once the metallic straw. Eeks... when it touches your teeth... now input the lid of and drink lake an adult...

The plastic lid is propably more Plastic anyway, plus the Cup itself out of Paper (or even more Plastic...)
Plus for Citizens of the EU, including myself, desposable plastic Straws will be forbidden in 2021.
Love how excited you are about these reviews! Thorough work indeed.
I’m glad I watched this video! My partner is very hard to shop for lol. The flexit flashlight would make a perfect gift! He works for UPS and I think the product would make his life a little easier. Wonder if the flashlight will stick to the inside of the truck walls? 🧐
Do they make a product that can properly fold a fitted bed sheet? I would buy one!
Agreed
The only correct answer is to only own one of them (times the number of beds you own) That way you take it off, wash it, and put it back on the bed, you never need to fold it.
@@Moola868 That's how I do it. Besides not having much storage, trying to fold a fitted sheet makes me use bad words a lot. :)
A woman I knew who worked in the bedding department could fold them pretty well but not well enough to be considered "new". I worked in display and always used the patterns I liked so I could buy those "damaged" goods plus my discount. My twin bed was always dressed beautifully.
My daughter uses her elbows to somehow manipulate those fitted sheets into a perfectly folded square.
"and there's Bailey!"
*proceeds to blind Bailey*
"Bailey!"
Yea, when it's floppy it doesn't really want to go in. How life-like.
😢
Can't do the one finger technique
darkholyPL damn!
😂
😂😂 i laughed harder at this than I should’ve
Stop playing that straw. 😂🤣😂🤣
I'm impressed with the bag sealer, you can reuse what you normally throw away, keep empty crisp packets for sealer bags!😊👍
Sheldon Cooper always uses a folding board for his shirts...
I was thinking the same thing. lol.
F yes i remember after seeing your comment
Same here, I loved that show.
However, James showed us that if you have skilled hands, it's just a novelty, but it is cool.
Me too, I love my board! 🙋🏻♀️
I think Sheldon using the folding board on The Big Bang Theory, is what has made it popular, and why every one wants one now.
For the reusable straws you should review the metal telescopic straws.
@ZaC kWinz thanks. I've been curious.
We've switched at home to stainless but I was eyeing the telescopic for when I'm away from the house.
I got a telescoping straw last spring at an international tournament I worked at. It wasn’t expensive and the organization had the cases printed with their logo. I carry it in my purse and use it when I’m out to eat. Works just fine.
A friend bought the metal straw. Broke a tooth using it. His wife is disabled, unable to speak, and banged something for his attention....oops.
Leslie Fischer, I’m going to guess that your friend didn’t have the one that has a soft silicone tip. Ouch.
Bailey: "Ooh what you got there, buddy?"
James: "You can't have cereal, Bailey."
Bailey: "Naaww 😞"
I know! How does he resist that FACE!??! **sneaks a treat to Bailey**
Bailey, he's crazy but he's mine.
Poor Bailey. Lol
@@DonnaMSchmid I don't think he does. Bailey looks what I like to call "pluffy" and that's taking into consideration her thick fur. I think James gets weak with her and slips snacks, lol. Or baby needs a walk but wow, Vegas has to be scorching most of the year.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley Pluffy! I love it!!! Hahahahahahahaha...
that shirt folder looks like it's begging to be hacked together with cardboard squares and tape
LOL. I'm dying. That's how my husband "folds" shirts. First time I saw it I was like "Dude what are you doing!?!"
I have two adult sons, a son-in-law, a step-father, and three brothers I have a hard time finding Christmas gifts for. Unless you outdo yourself between now and when I start my Christmas shopping for 2020, they are all getting a Flex-it 2.0. Thanks!!
Lol
I was thinking about picking one up for my dad, as he’s a long distance truck driver :)
@@marg4229 id hate to be your grandson or granddaughter.
@@marg4229 never said I feel bad lmaoooo
i did that shirt folder for years in retail. haha. ours was smaller and did better
And you can also just do that technique by hand without a folder. It's pretty easy actually.
Board folding was a great way to not interact with customers
Seriously, I mastered this technique at Old Navy, no board needed!
Cool?
I did too and I still use one at home years later. 👍🏻
Box Legend, John's less musically-talented brother.
You have my sense of humor.
🤣🤣🤣
Ha. I have one of those and literally thought the exact same thing when I got mine. I don’t understand how they came up with the name and the logo on it is a crest with BL. Strange.
7:56 😂😂😂😂 “environmentally conscious”, while drinking out of a huge plastic cup with a plastic lid! 😂😂😂😂
Definitely showing my wife the reusable straw segment. So many of your points validate what I have been telling her for YEARS, especially "it's a viable option".
So many... "That's What She Said" moments!! Lol
It’s best to hold the shirt upside down by the seams to help realign the shirt. It will help reduce wrinkles.
I was thinking that too.
Yeah, you have to properly align and shake out your clothing before folding, hanging, etc.
Okay, for better results folding shirts with the first gadget, grab the hem of the shirt at the two sides and shake it before you put it down. That should eliminate the bunched up front.
Grab it where? What's a two side?
@@tommytoms5445 Lay the shirt flat. Look at the hem of the shirt, this is the lowest edge. Notice the middle portion of the hemmed area, do not clasp this portion. Notice the shirt has side seams, take hold of the hem at these 2 side seams.
Use google translate in future.
When I used to work retail I used them. They work well! Good job!
Regarding that gadget for folding shirts, you could make something similar out of an old cardboard box.
Buying silicone straws to use with disposable cups and lids 🤦🏼♂️
I’d like that Flexit! Looks like a great item to have in the car or garage!
After watching this, I ordered the Rocketbook. My boss likes constant meetings and I never remember where my notes are.
Just take a picture of your notes after taking them. It's virtually the same thing.
@@jnrs9512 You don't get a reusable notebook. This is saving the trees
I would buy one too, but I'd like something a little sturdier, and maybe a form factor that fits the inside jacket pocket of my suit.
I have that exact cutter/sealer tool. I love it! My cutter works fine. You have to make sure you are using the slanted edge of the blade, or it doesn’t cut right. So you have to make sure you’re moving it in the right direction.
What do you use it for? Most of the food I buy in bags is a single serving for me. As in I eat the entire bag.
I got the biggest laugh watching you seal the bags of chips. My dogs heard the sound and ACCOSTED ME!!!! Needless to say...I then had to go give them said chips!!!
the only time i have ever seen tees folded like 3:02 is when i was working retail.
When your plastic cup has more plastic then your straw would’ve had 🤦♂️
That Rocketbook would be amazing for artwork!!! I'm tempted, man.
I bought the folding shirt thing about 25 years ago and I still have it lol. You can also make one out of Cardboard and wide masking tape 😁
I’m definitely getting that rocket book, that thing is really cool! I’m always grabbing for paper to doodle ideas down and this would be perfect!!! I love it!
the fridge steel has more Stainless Steel in it which is not magnetic enough. I'll take the rocket book
•Try the environmental straw with an icee.
•The big red flashlight looks like an old school hot water bottle😂
•You should of tested the ink on the 16 minute mark to test if it's really smudge proof.
That flashlight is really cool I would put it in my jeep so I could do repairs on the trails night and stuff like that
To be honest, the lights I use the most are those cheap $4 things you can get at Harbor Freight.

They come with batteries, but those are just cheap zinc-carbons. Upgrade to some decent alkaline types and these are actually kinda bad-ass.
I use mine all the time....most of the time as a BBQ light.
The shirt folder would be good for packing luggage.
I use that shirt folder ALL the time. Its such a time saver
Really??? I'm tempted. I've seen those or something similar before on these kind of vids, in my OCD makes folding shirts an impossible way to win.
Saves time too? Idk, that's like, super life changing LOL I'm not good with change.

I doubt you opened three bags of chips and didn't have at least one. The magic of video editing. 👌🏽
the last time i was this early the products were two rocks banged together.
Lol
That sounds interesting, did they work? :)
Stores have had the clothes folder for ages! When I worked at Target, we had those to use, but it took too long, so I always folded the clothes manually. Not quite as pretty, but way faster.
Same with H&M. It was just a single flat board though. We never used it
I needed one when I'd have to organize the art isle at Walmart when I worked there. I hated folding the damn shirts.
the issue I see with that chip bag resealer is that chips are packaged in Nitrogen Gas to help preserve them. Resealing the bag with oxygen won't keep them very long. They will still lose flavour and become stale, grant it perhaps 1 or 2 days longer than if you hadn't sealed the bag at all.
Great way to fold for packing clothes when going on vacation.
The sealer was just like the "as seen on tv" product from many years ago called the Eurosealer. I can definitely use the flexit light for emergencies.
The higher quality the stainless steel is, the less magnetic it is. I can't even hang any magnets on the front of my fridge, only the side. No fridge photos for me. =(
Not necessarily, it's just dependant on iron content, and alignment of the domains
Suffering from success
I'm even more old school and love taco flavored Doritios.
Re:shirt folder. . .gimme a hanger, Hal.
The shirt folder seems good to teach kids to fold and give them more responsibility. Id have fun using it lol
I’d like to I formally request to see more Young James in reviews 😂
As a Dungeons and Dragons player, who's looked at the RocketBook for note keep for games.. Seeing it in action makes me really want it now.
I absolutely love my rocket book! I have assignments to upload online, easy! Also, I used to use a lot of paper
"It's like when you'e a kid eating your cereal in the morning and you had the bendy straw". Dude, it must've been tough growing up in your house. My Mom would usually put a spoon on the table.
Lou Standards my life was rough, I had to get my own spoon.
lmao I thought the same thing
Woah, Harsh
Did anyone say "Nice hiss!" when James opened the notebook package?! LOL.
Lol aaah mre's
let's get this out onto a tray
Nice!
You forgot to try the reusable straws with milk shakes from BK and MacDonald. I have the stainless steel and I'm looking for the silicone ones.

A while back, I used to work at the Disney Store in the mall. I used the shirt folding item. I LOVED IT!!!!! It made folding shirts so much easier, since I had to fold 2 boxes of unfolded shirts at a time. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!
I've seen those folding boards being used in stores by the clerks. Lay's Classic!
One question has been in the back of my mind with every review video I’ve watched on your channel, where do you store all the items you’ve reviewed? You must have phenomenal storage!
The bone yard in his garage... just a bunch of old shelves.

That bag sealer is perfect for my kid who can’t clip chips or cereal closed to save her life
but a fiddly bag sealer that requires you to have the sides nice and flat and even speed down the entire bag so the heat can fuse the sides correctly is going to be right up her alley.. that thing is going to go straight to the trash after a week.
If your kid can't use a simple clip then there is no way she could use this device.
Just roll and rubber band.
Reusable straws may be worth it for disabled people who actually need straws if their preferred drinking-place goes for the Green option.
Paper straws suck (pardon the pun)
@ihatescreennames89 yes they do have them! I have a few, just look up "smoothie reusable straws" .
Straws are not going away. Only the shitty cities takeaways straws.
