I bought a set of Ninja Foodi frying pans last Fall based on your review and they really are awesome! There are several other products I'm considering buying, too, (and many I've decided not to!) thanks to your thorough testing and candidness. I especially appreciate these "One Year Later" videos that showcase the truly useful products. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into trying out all these gadgets!
Same with me, I bought the 12 inch premium last Christmas based on James and one other review. I didn’t use it much for about four months, but when I moved into my new place and didn’t have a grill at my disposal outside, the ninja pan has become my go to, and it is amazing over these last six months using it almost every day.
My fiance and I got the granite stone non stick pan based off James’ recommendation (as well as several other items) and it’s been at least 3 years (I don’t remember exactly when we got it, i know we moved into our house in May 2021 and we got it when we lived at our previous house, so it’s at least 3 years old) and it’s still going strong! We use it all the time and it’s held up great.
The quickflip is definitely one of my favorites! I bought a few as gifts when they had their black Friday sale. I like to take it to concerts. The last one I took it to I flipped it from bag to hoodie and all of the security had to come over to look. They were surprised and impressed.
I purchased the Ninja Neverstick Pan based on your review and I just love it. I have had it since November 2021 and it is the best pan. Nothing sticks ever. My chocolate chip pancakes come out golden brown and when the chocolate chips which are touching the pan while the pancake is being cook never stick. My scrambled eggs before this pan would always have a little brown because I like my eggs done, but with the Ninja pan my eggs come out done to my liking and are fluffy without the cooked brown on them. Clean up on this pan is amazing. I bought mine nine months ago and it still looks brand new.
Ive been amazed how evenly it makes pancakes. perfect first time everytime. Its sorta silly to be excited about a frying pan, but man, when you find something that actually works, and then better than you expected, you end beside yourself. That and im in my middle 50s probably means my priorities are way different.
Just thought of a great update for the backpack that turns into a hoodie. It should include an instructional booklet teaching the wearer how to juggle. That way if you have a bunch of things in it and suddenly for whatever reason you need a hoodie you can simply juggle your items while you wear the backpack as a hoodie. Practical, Protective AND now Educational. You just can't beat that combo.
I have used an Oxompeeler like you showed for around 30 years & it still works as good as the day I bought it. love to watch your reviews especially the 1 year later reviews.
Hi James! As far as toasters go, the slider on most is a continuously variable resistor that allows you to dial in the level of darkness that suits your preference. All of the other settings will never get used. The test for toasters should be to first get them all to the desired setting. Then compare the brands for toasting evenness, length of time to achieve desired results, and price. Then pick the best bang for the buck. The more expensive ones typically have electronic controls. They are the ones that turn into boat anchors while the simple ones tend to last much longer. Another plus would be a bagel slot.
Actually the slider is a timer, measured in minutes of toasting. The degree that you push it between the numbers is how many minutes, and seconds, you want it toasted.
I can't believe it has been one year that I started watching your channel. Love all your reviews so keep them coming. Have a great weekend and week. 🤗🤗
I love that after hundreds of reviews James still have an objective approach to all new products. It's really excellent tests, almost scientific, considering it's tested by a single pearson
I love the Expand laces and have them on all my lace up shoes. Rather than use the the plastic anchors, I just double tie the laces so they look like a regular shoelace.
Hey I got a awesome review video for you, I used to worl for a knife company called cutco !!!!! There actually really sharp and the design of the saraded knifes make it so they never go dull, the had a knife that was used for I think 50 years and still sharp as it was brand new ! Highly recommend putting them thru your tests !
I sent mine back for another sharpening after 24 years, and they actually replaced them instead. They are expensive, but they are awesome. I "sold" them for a short while and there's a lot of negatives with their business model, but I learned some sales skills anyway.
@Danielle Anderson and I half agree with you. However, those that stick with Cutco, do well, and those of us who suck, get out quickly LOL. I never felt exploited. Now, when friends keep sending me invites to online parties for May Kay, leggings, nail polish strips, etc... those companies feel much more exploitive! I buy one thing from a co worker and then I'm bombarded with messages about sales and wouldn't I like more cash. Never had that with Cutco.
A while back you did a review of the coldest water bottle. I seen the same company made a product called the coldest pillow. It’s $50 I wonder if it’s better or worse than a $160 beautyrest pillow
I’ve been using the addalock portable deadbolt ever since Jame’s review. Have used it a good number of times on my door that doesn’t lock! Never used it for travel though
The one thing that bugs me are the little 'air conditioners'. They are not air conditioners, they are swamp coolers. While swamp coolers work well with the added water, air conditioners use a Freon type for cooling. Definitely not air conditioners.
That Ninja Foodie Neverstick Pan is the ONLY non stick pan that has lasted more than a few months of everyday use. It actually works better now than the first few times ive used it. Just dont use cooking spray, wipe with butter or oil if you want, and dont heat it past medium on the stove top, it gets plenty hot at medium to sear steak. I literally use it everyday.
I love those videos because it actually give us info about of items can survive the long run. Like, even if they were good, of you didnt end up using them it can tell à lit about their actual usefulness
I bought the ninja pans after seeing your tests. Not once have they let me down. They make a mean pan pizza too. really quality product; I never want to use teflon ever again.
You sure those aren't teflon pans? Found this on Best Buy page for this pan. "The Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick™ has a PTFE Non Stick coating." It's still PTFE, which is Teflon. Not saying this as a bad thing, it's definitely the best non-stick surface while it lasts.
I bought a few of the Dream Farm kitchen gadgets as a result of the review. Actually like them. Can't find the Levoons at a Brick and Morter retailer around Boston.
As for those “air conditioner” things, a reviewer said they are like swamp cooler - and that is the absolute truth. I lived in Phoenix from age 7 to age ? (48-1/2 years later😄) We has swamp coolers till my Mkm sprang for A/C long after I was going e😳. The swamp coolers were everywhere mostly, especially in schools. I now live in NC where no one has heard of swamp coolers - why? Because of the humidity! The sea pies worked ok but it was still pretty darn hot - just like Vegas without a/c👍👍👍👍🤭🤭. When our upstairs a/c unit died several years ago we just used fans - both ceiling and small tabletop ones till we couldn’t stand it and spent the over $8,000 to buy a new upstairs unit!!!
about the egg tester, apparently it needs to be same temp as the eggs, though thats not normally mentioned on the packaging for this type of timer. so if your eggs are fridge cold the timer needs to be as well if the timer is room temp and the eggs fridge temp it will be off
Unfortunately people are obsessed with the idea of buying a single gimmicky non stick pan every 5 years rather than buying a decent brand that they buy once and never have to think about pans again.
Add a lock was something i bought for my daughter when she went to college. She rented an apt, and a couple times the land lord maint person tried to get in thinking no one was home, it stopped him, He was there to fix an outlet, nothing nefarious, just that it did what it was designed to do.
For the record, I’m not sure if it’s different for colleges, but most places, landlords are required to give 24 hours notice before entering an apartment for things.
I laughed so hard when I read the tiny text that explains the "lifetime guarantee" of the non stick pan. So... 5 years is a lifetime of... a mouse. :D If you buy something in Germany that says lifetime guarantee, you register it once and it will repaired or replaced whenever something breaks in YOUR whole lifetime. My grandma has cooking pots of whom she got a lid knob replaced when it broke after nearly 30 years of use. :)
When you do toasters next time, see how they do pop tarts I bought a toaster and dropped a pop tart in it and it went to the bottom, I had a quite a time getting it out. Makes toast fine.
i really like the idea of that boiled egg timer, perhaps if you want soft just take it out in between soft and medium? probably gonna buy one of those or possibly a different brand, Makes it a lot simpler than trying to figure out the perfect time.
I got the egg timer (to be honest I bought it because it's cute). Mine is shaped like an egg (otherwise the same). It works well if it has been stored at the same temperature as the eggs.
4:46 I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the actual review video, but your test with the cheese on the pans was not at all the same. On the hex clad pan, you lifted up the tortilla, but not on the ninja neverstick pan where you slid the tortilla off. While I think I would buy the neverstick over the hex clad, that test was not accurate. I think I prefer the granitestone pan, especially after watching your original review on it. I use a set I bought from Costco, which are comparable to granitestone, albeit a different brand, and they have held up really well. I make sure to take care of them as well as I can, and I have not been disappointed.
im 57 and i have never owned a peeler, i started a diet and to peel cucumbers i bought one at the $1.25 store and it works great! i think if someone made one of those orange peelers it would be in every household
I have been wondering about that door lock, if it works on doors that open outwards? (For example, in Sweden, most of the front doors open outwards). I don't think so...but has anyone tried it? Because I have seen several people who have tested the lock, but only on doors that go inwards, and not mentioned if it works both ways....
@@Volitantmule8games you mean on doors that open outwards? Because even if I'm on the inside of a room, that lock, on a door that opens outwards, probably won't work
