I do know time does help a lot but you never lose that feeling of loss. I do hope you continue to enjoy memories and hopefully one day you’ll be able to smile more and cry less thinking about him, he is in such a better place.

    16:26 is a camel spider, aka sun spider, aka wind scorpion. Despite its common name, it's neither a spider nor scorpion, and is in its own class of arachnid called solifugae, literally "flees from the sun". Because of their tendency to run for the shadows to hide, they often run toward people to hide in their shadows, and they run as fast as scorpions, due to their main prey animals being spiders and scorpions. They appear like they have ten legs, with two long ones in front, but these are actually pedipalps, the arachnid's version of an insect's antennae, and are used for sensing things around them. Sun spiders aren't very common in the US but are native here and the Middle East where they are much more prolific. However, it seems like they're becoming more common in the southwestern US. I've even seen more of them here in Arizona in the last couple years than I've ever seen in my life, I used to only see them like in northern New Mexico on vacation. They're a very beneficial species and despite their speed and tendency to run at you, they're actually very NON aggressive arachnids. They're scary but they kill things that can harm us like very venemous scorpions and spiders (black widow, brown recluse, etc.), just an FYI that if you see one and it scares you, try not to squish it. I've had to a few times because there was no way to remove them from my belongings without accidentally squishing them, they are as soft as tissue paper, like a moth, if you even touch it it can just smear sadly. But they're very cool and good to have around, they like it outside and don't like winding up inside your home if they can help it, but if they do, they're only there to get rid of pests. They're really cool and everyone should know about them because they're pretty ugly and unnerving if you don't know what they are.

      Idk if I could just let it be. That thing is a huge monstrosity! I also recently moved to AZ and have thankfully not seen one yet. When I do, I’m going to scream and smoosh. Idk in what order. The screaming may be throughout and even after. LOL. I don’t do well with insects after living my whole life in a rural area of NY near Niagara Falls. Not a lot of insects to worry about. So seeing anything else in my home is a big nope 👎🏻.
      Goodness. He didn’t even seem phased by that camel spider. It’s so gross to even look at. 🙈

    • @Nocturnalux
      @Nocturnalux Год назад

      I find spiders and spider-like critters to be really disturbing but I always try to rescue them when I spot them at home.
      Which is not easy, given how squeamish I am of them. In a way, that actually seems to help as they can be so fragile and touching can be lethal to them. So my trapping very small spiders in glasses, and them carefully carrying them outdoors, may be better than picking them up.

      He did show either in a video or on social media that at some point last year he and his son seriously organized the bone yard which is what he calls the set of shelves in his garage where he keeps products he doesn’t use anymore and the boxes they come in. His son really got into it and catalogued everything and put them into bins labeled with what they are and when they were reviewed. He put them in order of reviewed date for the most part. The bone yard looks so much better now than it used to. I’m not sure if he kept the boxes for the items as part of the organization. He also has a nice spreadsheet on his computer of what he has reviewed, when he reviewed it and his opinions, etc. He is very organized since he has reviewed hundreds of items over the years.

    I love my Crunch Cup! In the before times I would bring it in to work on any morning that I anticipated needing some comfort cereal time. I'm a super slow eater, so this allowed me to 'graze' on my cereal at my own pace without it becoming literal gloopy milk soup. Since transitioning to WFH 100% I've only used it a handful of times, mostly to show off on team video calls lol but I will stand behind this product being functional and amusing. Just gotta get your milk to cereal ratio dialed in, I like filling it just to the first indentation line. That works for me.
    I've used a walmart variant of the Obol for...probably a decade. The only difference it's a fully compartmentalized mini cup and larger cup intended for cereal. I use it for fruit and caramel dip, or veggies and dressing - works great for that too.
    I must have a problem because I forgot all about the Cereal on the Go cup...and now I really want one. And I have negative 50 reasons to have it LOL I don't even eat cereal a lot!
    I should probably stay clear of these review videos. If I managed to not knee jerk buy the gadget on the first go around, I'm not sure I have the willpower to remember why I didn't get it a year later...and now I want to stock my Amazon cart with more things haha

    10 out of 10 for your series... Stating that a diet cola cant be used saved me from buying it... Are there any devices that can make a calorie free slushie or is the sugar necessary for slushiness?

    • @yetinother
      @yetinother 3 года назад +2

      The sugar is necessary for the texture, you can make something out of diet soda, but it's the same as freezing water, either it's liquid or a block, and very little besides shaved ice in-between

    • @soogymoogi
      @soogymoogi 2 года назад

      Wouldn't be the exact same texture but the fluffy setting on a shaved ice machine could work

    I can only imagine this guys garage is packed floor to ceiling with products he’s reviewed over the years. U catch little glimpses of parts of his house and with as many products as he’s reviewed you’d see stuff all over the place if all of them actually got used on a regular basis. My guess is probably 10-15% of the stuff he reviews actually gets used somewhat regularly or as often as necessary for the products intended purpose

    I have 2 clocks both with the same controller/maciacal setup 1 aa battery.
    The safe clock i have had for over a year and if the aa battery is below 1.2V it hangs up the 2ed hand.
    The same with my main clock yet it works down to 1V = 2 more months of use.

    The egg thing. All you need is a container with a lid. Soak your boiled eggs in cold water for 2 minutes pour the water out leave about an inch of water put the lid on and shake i peeled a dozen eggs in less than 2 minutes. Oh you might have to crack the eggs before you shake them. Have fun.

    If you run your credit cards through a shredder, the pieces should easily fit into the hairbrush safe. You may have to melt down your keys, though, to fit more than one of them into the brush. But it's still a winner in my book as the crow flies.

    I am a fiend for slush drinks, I had one of those squeezey-type slush cups and it was one of the best things I've ever owned. I ended up accidentally ruining it by leaving it out for too long, the gel stuff got destructed thanks to... I dunno environmental exposure or something? But now that I've been reminded they exist, I'm about to go get another one XD

    I have the clock. No one in the many years I had it, not even my ex-husband, realized what it was until I told them... Honestly, if it's displayed like a clock and you don't try to hide it, people don't see it. Unless the robber already knows about it, they won't go for it. They will go for more obvious things, like my portable safe and computers... XD I mean, it would suck to have anything stolen at this point.
