As a Tigers fan who has watched every game of their run this was a perfect microcosm of their play in that run. Skubal was great, the defense was great, a few timely hits and the bullpen makes you sweat as they get the job done. You asked about Foley, I didn't see anything to be concerned over in terms of how he looked (unlike Framber who had awful body language his entire outing). I will say I was a little surprised Holton didn't at least stay in for Alvarez but he's absolutely still available tomorrow. Tigers didn't give away hardly any AB's the whole game, that was probably the most encouraging thing for me.
Royals/Orioles: Pasquantino returning from injury almost a month earlier than projected may not pay off offensively right away, but vibes wise, it is huge for KC. I think after winning Game 1, the Royals will win the series and give the Yankees all they want in the ALDS.

But the Tigers came back and won it in extras. They then came in the next day and won the series despite Baltimore clearly getting to the bullpen. Jason Foley is a nail biter at times but he usually bounces back for a 1 2 3 outing the next time and the rest of the bullpen always just pulls it out when the lineup gets them the lead. If the Tigers are leading in the 9th, i don't care who's on the other side, it will almost always raise my blood pressure while the Tigers pull it off

With regard to the Adley point at 27:00... Adley took a foul ball off the wrist when he was catching on June 27th vs the Rangers. There's been some conversations in Baltimore sports media and among O's fans that perhaps maybe he has been playing through a bit more of an injury than we are aware of. Stats from the start of the season to June 27th: .297 BA, 15 HR, .826 OPS, 136 WRC+... Since then: .189 BA, 4 HR, .559 OPS, 63 WRC+... Probably won't know for sure until their season is over, but I think that is what a lot of people assume is the issue
The Os are done. This team has no fight, not one of these young guys has shown me anything me at all when it really mattered. I guess they just aren't built for these moments. People say they lack playoff experience, but Witt came through in his first playoff game, and the tigers beat the astros. There is not a single person in the Os lineup I feel confident will get the job done with runners in scoring position. They dont have anyone who gets clutch hits on any sort of regular basis.

Foley gave up 2 on a Gunnar double, allowing Baltimore to tie the game at 4. Bases were still loaded with NO OUTS, heart of the lineup coming to bat when Hinch brought in Brieske....and the Os somehow failed to walk it off. Brieske somehow got 3 straight outs: Mullins, Santander, Cowser. Then the Tigers scored 2 in the 10th,and Brieske came back in and held off the Os for the win. So while I felt like I died a few times in that last half inning today, there was a little voice in my head saying "eh, you know everything isn't gonna be OK."
