It's caused by inflammation or pinched cervical nerve from inflammation in the neck or of the nerve. can be from overuse or from what ever is going on in your body. that's why some people develop it out of the blue. with me I've noticed every time I start having neck pain/tightness I start having issues with my shoulders and hands.
I just went to orthopedic surgeon recently, who diagnosed this condition in under 10 sec (previous X-ray and MRI done and found nothing), and said, you are in the first stage only, no exercise will help you now. Exercise should start in the third, thawing, stage, he said. I am still going to talk to my primary doctor again, as it is too awful to have to wait for 1 or 2 years until this thawing phase, all the while being in pain.
thats not true, of course you cab start with physio therapy in the first or 2nd phase. it could prevent to get even worse. the only thing is, to be really caution and dont do exercise which causes to much pain, it has to be always bearable.
Surgery is never the answer. Go to a corrective muscle specialist. Usually a kinesiology degree w muscle Imbalance specialization. Surgery makes everything worse.

Judy Hinterlong .... Same thing happened to me ! Started in left shoulder, then my right also started freezing up months later... although I got the injections earlier on my right so I think it helped prevent a a total freeze like my left shoulder... I had this. Had the PT and injection and was scheduled for surgery...I did a home drywall job and after 3 hours of sanding with a pole my shoulder broke loose and I could lift it over my head. Pain subsided in a few days...canceled surgery. The sanding motion must have been better than all the physical therapy.
That is what my chiropractor did. He has ultrasound machine and it was increasing power and I could feel my shoulder was vibrating. I think it helped but I'm not sure.
I developed this at the start of covid after getting the vaccine. I was misdiagnosed for the first 6 months (they thought it was the muscle reacting to vaccine) but I had all the classic symptoms. I was interested to discover many women had this after the vaccine (probably prone to it, with the needle trauma to the arm). Took exactly one year for the symptoms to clear up and physio did not help unfortunately. So glad it’s finally over as it was absolutely awful to get through the varying stages.
Did it go on its own? I have been suffering from Frozen shoulder for 2.5 years now after the Covid shot. I was misdiagnosed for rotator cuff tendentios at first. took one cortisone shot 10 months ago. I had another one 2 days ago.

I got this after an intense repetitive motion activity. My chiropractor, Hollis Wilson in Pflugerville, TX fixed it in one to two session whereas my friend who saw her primary physician said he didn't know what to to do about it and she suffered for a year.

Hi doc in case of frozen shoulder, can the pain extend up to wrist and elbow muscles, or patient can observe the swollen nerves?. If not what is could be?
Can the pain from a frozen shoulder make you fall/drop to the ground? It's an extremely short sharp painful burst, way more painful than the usual daily pain. That's what I'm experiencing.
I think this will only happen ones that is to me just ues deep hit and and don't move it it happens to me for like one day I'm sorry if this is not the same thing
I am week 8 post op rotator cuff surgery and I have a frozen shoulder as a result. Physical therapy is becoming more painful and must repeat at home. It is so aggravating but I hope this period shall pass.
I've had this for months. I actually remedied it by changing my diet. I stopped eating bread and it started improving within a day. I would say I have 90% movement back after 3 days.
Surplus of food and notably carbohydrates create inflammations in body. I got this after overeating for two days. Before that I had sometimes only very small pain in my shoulder. But after overeating unbearable pain and no mobility.
I’ve had frozen shoulder for several months and it’s very painful. It’s made worse by me having to take a statin. Not sure what statin does to the muscles, but it’s bad. I feel it 24 hours a day, it’s made worse by sleeping on my side. Hope to start therapy after this stupid virus is over.
I just went in for possibly this. Or impingement. I cant move my arm up over my head or even near there or behind my back. They said women in there early 40s get frozen shoulder for no reason. And it could in both arms. I'll find out next week.

Every year for the past 5+ years, this frozen shoulder occurs. I get it for 3-7 days and then it heals on its own. It always happens randomly and suddenly, but it causes severe pain and stiffness in my shoulder and shoots you my neck. I become completely immobile in the left arm with this condition. Doctors don’t know how to treat it other than physical therapy so I take ib Profen for my pain.

I am happy to report that my frozen shoulder condition has gone. I changed my diet to reduce sugar and wheat, which after getting covid-19 in Sept. 2022 seem to cause me inflammation, micro blood clotting and joint stiffness in me. Even after changing my diet I had to let the frozen shoulder run its course: went from debilitating pain every night for months to still frozen but no pain as long as I didn't try to move the shoulder to back to mostly normal... took about 9 months. I take vitamin d3 and k2 daily as I am in a place without enough sunshine.
I was diagnosed with this. As it turned out, I had inflammation of a shoulder bursa but the symptoms were identical. That was 4-5 days of pain, though.

As horrible as it might sound I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I started a facebook support group as a result of my feeling alone with this thing and having to explain what it is!
Thanks for the info.
thats not true, of course you cab start with physio therapy in the first or 2nd phase. it could prevent to get even worse. the only thing is, to be really caution and dont do exercise which causes to much pain, it has to be always bearable.
9 months of this now, torture! Had steroid injections, helped slightly over time but still frozen... This condition is no joke ...
It sucks I had surgery 6 months ago labrum now been out of work mild frozen shoulder not fun! May nerd 2nd surgery
Surgery is never the answer. Go to a corrective muscle specialist. Usually a kinesiology degree w muscle Imbalance specialization. Surgery makes everything worse.
@@kaffarghost3223 so many people told me that surgery was no good so I put it off and it just got worse.
Well I had the surgery on my right shoulder and right away the pain difference was so great that I was trying to tie my shoes right after the surgery and the doctor had to stop me.
So I don't listen to people who thinks all surgery is bad I think there advice is bad.
I say talk to your doctor, do the physically therapy, take meds and after all of that and you don't see any improvement then do the surgery.
Same...kills at night so bad. Going to orthopedic this week. 7 months and counting...
Judy Hinterlong .... Same thing happened to me ! Started in left shoulder, then my right also started freezing up months later... although I got the injections earlier on my right so I think it helped prevent a a total freeze like my left shoulder... Man, still not 100 percent, working my shoulders out but WTF causes this ? Terrible condition !
I had this. Had the PT and injection and was scheduled for surgery...I did a home drywall job and after 3 hours of sanding with a pole my shoulder broke loose and I could lift it over my head. Pain subsided in a few days...canceled surgery. The sanding motion must have been better than all the physical therapy.
Did you feel any sharp pain when the shoulder broke loose? Or you just suddenly felt like it's no longer stiff?
Wow! I have one its painful
I had another one 2 days ago.
i had no vaccine just covid!! and i am 100% sure this is from covid! i am 7 months in pain small pain but i was very athletic and never in my life did i have anything simmilar!! covid effect 100%
I got this after an intense repetitive motion activity. My chiropractor, Hollis Wilson in Pflugerville, TX fixed it in one to two session whereas my friend who saw her primary physician said he didn't know what to to do about it and she suffered for a year.
I suffered for 2 years for left shoulder stiffness. When i got well, immediatletly right shoulder got the same problem. Finally with physiotherapy exercises pain reduced and got unfreezed.
How are your shoulders now?
@@Isayah_613 it is almost back to normal. Sometimes things fall from one hand, some weakness . One Ayurvedic doctor treated me for a day. He did some changes to nerves 😬 like chiropractor does. Followed physio therapy exercises and bitter ayurvedic medicines and Within 3 months it was back to normal. Freedom from pain is 100 percent.

I have that too. My chiropractor said it’s the adhesions pulling on the muscle or tendon. It is so painful!! I’m so sorry you have this too.

It’s the most painful thing I ever experienced and I have any chronic pains around my whole body .
I fall down on my arm and I was plastid my hand and now I cannot do my right hand properly to the shoulder so I pray to God and you also pray to God that please my hand should be fine please 😞😞
It happened to me and I am a man. It took about 6 - 8 months to make any progress. It was terrible.
I would try massage therapy as a solution, a skilled therapist could ease the pain, and increase the mobility in the shoulder...all without surgery! Massage Therapy is a Medicine, one that feels great too!
Physiotherapy can do it too.
You should apply oil treatment and it prevents from a surgery.
can you explain what is oil treatment for me? thank you

Beginning of 2020 in April was going hard lifting weights at gym knowing we going into lockdown "COVID" I was in great pain, like a electric shock shooting up my arm shoulder and neck.. every time I hit my arm on something, I wanted to cry the pain was unbearable a 10 out of 10 or if I trip up the pain was unbearable.. months later we came out of lockdown I went straight to see my GP she refer me to a physio.. 3 weeks during physio was still in great pain.. then they decided for me to get x-rays done.. they found two problems in my shoulder.. then they injected fluid into the shoulder.. a bit of relief 🙏 went through physio for couple months and exercise at home, then she said that they couldn't do any more for me because I was going through frozen shoulder phrase today 2022 still got this bloody frozen shoulder.. every night been having uncomfortable sleeps tossing and turning trying to get comfortable sleep. Can't wait for normality. 🙏

If it's inflamed, why would you stretch it.. you need a chiropractor...
No one ever needs a chiropractor. It's not real medicine.
Do stretches and stop sleeping on your slides and don't forget to fix pain you have to go through even more pain
Thanks
I was diagnosed with this. As it turned out, I had inflammation of a shoulder bursa but the symptoms were identical. That was 4-5 days of pain, though.

Most of my guy friends have had it so why is it more common in women or is this BS? I had my right shoulder and now i am suffering on the left after Physical Therapy. Now they are calling it Rounding Shoulders. So did the diagnosis of frozen shoulder lead to rounding?
Don't believe those retards. They act like they know everything and just start treatment right away when they haven't even found out what's wrong. I'm in the same boat right now. I'd say its best to get an mri done first to see what the problem actually is. These clowns over here are so quick to self diagnose me when they don't even know whats wrong and outline some cookie cutter routine or plan for my "therapy". I still can't find any good physiotherapists in my area, they're all a joke and so lazy. I'm putting in all the effort while they just do the bare minimum

....
I just constantly stretched through the pain yesterday i could barely move my arm but this morning it's a small pain but bearable. I also sleep flat on my back and drank lot's of water. Good luck
that sounds like a torn rotator cuff.
That cracking sound is arthritis, it's two bones that has arthritis growth and are clicking together.
I just had surgery and the cut away the arthritis and the difference of daily pain was night and day.
Most days I was between 8 and 10 on the pain scale but after surgery it was a 4 to 6 during therapy and now no pain at all except from scar tissue.
Sounds like arthritis, which is inflammation of the joints. It can be caused by overuse of joints amongst other things. Your doctor will have to order an X-ray to make diagnosis

I have had frozen shoulder in both shoulders and I had all of these treatments except the surgery which my orthopedic surgeon would not perform that specific surgery. Instead, I was put under and a "manipulation", of my shoulder in which they literally move your arm in all directions tearing the fascia apart and that did the trick. I had that frozen shoulder for 18 months, 4 months of PT and 3 injections. You don't need anyone to CUT into you. Now I have the other shoulder and it came on fast and furious during COVID. I will attempt the cortisone shot first.
Thanks good job...😇
