I tracked and rally raced a Porsche. Some folks are confusing “racing” vs “open track”. Racing you don’t get out of the way and block. Open track etiquette and safety is to move over for faster traffic. I conservatively counted 3 times Misha had to let off.
In the end Misha was demonstrating safety and maturity on the track keeping himself, passenger, and Golf safe for another day on the track.

    • @DNHarris

A cammed LS3 will put out LT2 rwhp, they are a limited due to the OHV geometry and powerband vs efficiency and testing emissions. Zora Arkus-Duntov is very happy with the existence of the C8. It's the mid-engine Corvette that he always dreamed would exist.
Also, the big problem with the C8's power is that it likes to pull timing. The cars will dyno close to the claimed 490hp, but because they can pull up to 15 degrees of timing it can really fall flat on its face when pushed on a track. That has been the big thing I've seen track guys trying to combat.

The car looks and feels like it's worth so much more than what I paid for. One thing I immediately noticed was how well the car just hugs the road at high speeds and it handles so well.
