Also, apologies for the moving cam facing outside. I forgot to turn off the stabilization after filming handheld prior to this shoot.
Tbh I think it's way better with the stabilization turned on.

as a charger 392 owner, having stock 245 width all seasons, i dont know how the hell dodge got away selling this car with 500 treadwear all seasons.
They made these cars for burnouts and goin sideways, same as the hellcats some came with 275s

Oil cooler plus a little more time dialing in the spring rate, bound/rebound and you've got a perfectly balanced, comfortable, practical super sedan for a reasonable price with reasonable upkeep costs. Love it!
I doubt if only a oil cooler would be enough.. it is even the first lap and 147 celcius is insane.

@@jangr3813 an Oil cooler will definetly be enough, they only need a 10c reduction, and at those speeds that oil cooler will recieve a lot of airflow
Oil cooler, and some people end up swapping out to a 180* thermostat. They run hot from the factory. When he is on the straights in open air, you don't see it drop that much, so could be anything with this kind of car. I don't think it would be airflow to the radiator since the widebodies (should) have quite a bit of opened surface area.

I’ve lived in metro detroit my whole life and these things absolutely litter the streets here. Every dad and average joe has one and i thought they were just goofy straight line cars with flashy looks for a cheap price tag. But after seeing this i respect this car now. Too bad none of them by me will ever see a track. Just pot holes and street drags
I would say it takes a very good driver like Misha, to take one of these Chargers to its limit. One small mistake and 4,500lbs can slide away from you fast.

I hope he got an oil change after this lap cause that oil is cooked. This lap was much better than his last lap and I’m glad he came back. With an oil cooler and some better brakes he should have a pretty good setup.
from my experience, these motors dont seem to mind the heat too much. the weekend my dad bought his(less than 500 miles on it), we put into limp mode and it ended up stalling itself at stops. oil looked fine and car still runs great

@@moroccanfuturestrader94 He has the stock 6 piston brembo brakes with upgraded pads. His suspension is also factory with suboptimal camber settings.

👌😁 Car owner just entered the bottomless well of car performance. Improved tires, brakes and wheel alignment, now needs to improve cooling. Then will be the suspension, then more power and so on, and on and on…

Round #3.....oil color, upgraded brake fluid and/or braided lines. To help the body roll maybe a thicker rear sway bar. I wonder if the hellcat sway bar would make a difference

Honestly, thank you for showing us again how our Scatty’s in the States, handle on the track of the gods, you made that heavy sled look effortless. Having the same twin of his car (stock& 555 Nits rear),makes me love mine even more! Getting something like or please god close too that Nürburgring track in the states, I’d love to watch you roll out here and master that track. Please continue to post amazing content 🤟🏅
I’ve seen a hellcat challenger get turned into an autocross machine and with a good driver good tires and decent suspension these cars are very capable

They actually handle really well with decent tires and suspension work.

Loved the first one video! The Hemi engine is quite lovely,I think it likes to rev a little more than 6.000 RPM to fall in the peak power quick again while up shifting. Maybe a bigger radiator and oil cooler would be ace hehehehe. Very nice video!!! I would love to ear that engine with a better exhaust&air intake too!
I’m impressed with P4S tires. I have them on my C6Z06. Very good grip vs wear! 300 hardness and they are better than the 200 wear Nittos I used to run.

I never fully understood the differences in high end cars and riding "like on a rail" until seeing the Porsche pass you guys. The way it moved on the track was the explanation in of itself. Thank you for the video.
Just FYI mopar recommends DOT3 brake fluid for track events like this. That might help with the softness with the DOT4 getting warm.
You are right. You can use AP R1 brake fluid ( Dot 3 ).

The widebody upgrade is a must for this car. I think the Red Eye model has more robust cooling/brakes/everything for track driving.

These two videos with the Charger were so intense! Love it!
A 190 Tstat is a must in these cars. They have them at 203 stock to get cylinder temps hotter for less emissions which is bad because the engine is already heat soaked at factory stock temps.
190 F = 87.7 C
203F = 95 C

It's a testament to the goodness of the 25 year old E class chassis.
IT isn't the E class chassis. Only thing in common is a few suspension parts. Not the complete E chassis.
Impressive. Never figured it would put power down no problem on regular street tires. Then again, 315mm width alone gives you a lot to work with.
It's not that much power for how much it weighs , id hope it would put it down

the rear facing camera is worth its weight in gold, adds some perspective to the speed in the corners and shows why you always take a look in the mirror, even if you are on a hot Lap

Don't forget to run the heat at full blast. It helps a little bit to keep the engine cooler.
That's wild. I have max summer on my 2023 Scat Pack and zero issues with overheating in the deep south after a session.

From a US perspective it's nice to see normal people driving these cars, and not gang members.
Change the brake caliper lines with braided stainless lines the rubber swells and causes that spongy feeling , get higher temp brake fluid.
The Kevin cam was more fun in the original video 😂😂.

So I am an American that owns only Japanese cars.... After watching a bit of the US cars run, I may consider one in the future. I fell into the "American Muscle only goes straight" demographic.
Lastly, I love the rear view camera. That looks newer. Very very good. I like watching other people try to chase you. A lot of fun.

Totally worth it to watch 2 videos in a row. It's like it's not the same car, so much difference. Safer, that's the right word.
Upgrading the engine oil cooler and better oil is needed! The factory 0w40 oil isn't good enough. Motul or Total racing oil would have helped keep the temps down.
No it wouldn't have! Watch project farms synthetic oil challenge. Motul is garbage. Penzoil platinum full synthetic is what Mopar recommended for the hemis and it litterly came in second place out of 15 plus different oils including the best which is amsoil

He may need to play around with stiffer/adjustable Sway bars, especially in the rear to get the large wheelbase car to behave more neutral, to me it looked like there was a bit much of understeer. Nonetheless, I'm happy for the Owner and it was a enjoyable watch
Most American police use Hemi chargers to chase down speeders in Porsches, Corvettes, Ferraris, and such. They can do the job with someone who has advanced driver training like they give at police academies.

You can gut a challenger narrow body scat which is 300 pounds lighter stock than a wide body charger and remove some things to make it even lighter and it would Hang with a 1le!
@@fredwilliams7893 well and then the same can be done to the camaro and we're back to one. the camaro is light years ahead of the charger in chassis tuning though. no amount of weight saving will make up for that.

I think Misha could easily get down around 7:05-7:07 in the latest ZL11LE at the ‘ring. Current record for the 2018 model is 7:16.
@@Lofi.z34 viper is a sport car, not a muscle car. The viper is dodge’s corvette . Unless you think. A corvette is also a muscle car of course .
1.1 lateral g is quite good for such a big car. But it also matters how the car and chasis react when past that tyre limit. And it looks very predictable and smooth.
It's possible with Michelin Sport 4S tires ( 1.3g even ).
good tires, alignment and pressures are underrated!
needs a massive oilcooler for the Nordschleife and a KW V3, i guess then it would be the perfect setup for this kind of car. Insane how Misha drives this tank.

It's a 392, the 6.4 litre SRT, so no supercharger. That's the Hellcat you're thinking of. This car is one trim level down, 485 horsepower. Still a great car.

I like how people saying it’s a different car now. All he did was basically switch tire brands because he reverted back to stock springs which isn’t a mod. The scat pack is such an underrated car
