The last stretch of this series is transcendental.
man i have seen your videos and they are like the best like they are like the type of video i would like to create myself. just like keep it up they are great :p
furudate knows if he releases more story of sakusa, he'll get a lot of love than any other characters from hq (it'll basically become jjk 2.0 with gojo) so yeah. still, i wish i could see more of him in the anime ;;
Sakusa was a character that, while not having the most page or screen time, resonated with me in a personal level. He's more observant, he doesn't like crowds and sticks with himself if he can, and he has his own quirks that he sticks with, and he mostly talks with himself via thought bubbles. He also showed me a parallel between him and Ushijima: Both are top aces in different areas of play Ushijima: Power and strength Sakusa: Analytics, technique, and risk.
I really like this sort ot world building. Each arc goes to greater and greater height to show us that this is still just High School volleyball, we can just get to know stronger players as Karasuno start to go outside of their usual prefecture. And it shows that there are a lot other players that are way better they just will never meet. Keeps the story really grounded.
First of all, Furudate (the author of Haikyuu) said that he decided *some* of the plot points and major events as he was writing, to make the story more organic. So IMO, Itachiyama been included wouldve been cool, but not working for the story asthe other matches, so there is no need, in a broader sense, beacuse whqt he wanted to tell through Itachiyama he showed through Sakusa jn the final arc
@@emils1615 but could he at least shown a match of itachiyama with a different team, . It doesn't need to be in the finals but I would really like to see why itachiyama is a good team like shiratorizawa
@@emils1615 so what's the problem of that. You said each team is destined to not win. I Also hate how when Korosuno loses (I don't mind if they lost) Furudate just shows the results of the semi final matches and final matches with showing the matches. I hate the idea of only showing the main team perspective but not the other teams. We could of kept going to see the other teams perspective in the semi finals or the final match. It just feels like nationals ended in the quarter finals through our audience perspective.
@aniessays It would be SICK! But i think you should make a characterization of Nishinoya before that, since it would be briliant to see you analising his freedom and talent
One key thing i recognized, is that Sakusa is the only character that had a relative also go pro. Sakusa went with MSBY Black Jackal and his cousin, Motoya Komori, went with EJP Raijin.
You have a misconception that "ace" is a position at all in volleyball. Your best hitter could either play Outside hitter or Opposite (sometimes middle but this is rare). Sakusa plays outside hitter while Usiwaka plays Opposite (outside hitters hit from the left side and opposites hit from the right side). Generally Outside hitters are supposed to be very good passers (only libero's are ever expected to be better passers) while Opposites are often not required to pass as much. This isn't an "ace" thing, this is an actual volleyball thing. It's why Bokuto, Hoshiumi, Kiryu, and even Tanaka are all good passers in addition to their hitting prowess. This isn't a strict rule by any means, Diachi plays opposite and primarily focuses on defense and passing, often only really hitting from the back row, but this has a lot to do with the fact that Karasuno is an outside hitter heavy roster and this leaves the right side and middle open for hinata to run a lot of routes. Long comment cut short: Sakusa isn't special because he is a good passer, he's required to be a good passer in order to play outside hitter. It might be the case that he is especially good at it, but this isn't a deviation from the requirements of the position he plays.
Me and my team(i am the ace of the team)had been training for a year about the national tournament u18 and in the 3rd set i am getting injured with a second degree ankle sprain but i kept playing because we had elementary school kids in the bench in the end we lost cause i couldn't jump nor i could walk to change rotation and yeah thanks for reading this
The tragedy of Hinata is that he always wanted to be the ace. The star player the team couldn't survive without. Through out the whole story Hinata is put down, belittled, wasn't even invited to training camps, kageyama is the real genius and doesn't need Hinata... But by the end of nationals its irrefutably proven in the most painful way possible that Hinata is the ace.
Hey, could you add English subtitles? I really like your work and videos, but English is not my mother tongue so I can't enjoy your vids as much as I'd like!

Furudate never misses!
Sakusa is one of my favorite characters I'm happy there's a Sakusa analysis
Love Sakusa so much!
Sakusa is a fanfavorite regardless of how little he shows up, he is in my top five favorite Haiku characters as well.
It was about time he got a spotlight video on him
Certainly hope the Jackals vs Adlers game is animated. It is a BOSS volleyball match.
Yeah it’s a top 5 game in the whole manga for me
I hope they dont. Even if its a movie, some games deserve to be like season 3.
@@effayeyeayzed I wish they'd make the match into its own movie. After Kamomedai. And then include the Olympics section of the finale to end it.
Chapter 402.5 revealed a lot of unknown monsters of characters we didnt expect. I was certainly surprised by how many actually continued volleyball.
I love the voice editing pace tone about this video and analysis is on the note, hope to see more of u.

Would be cool if Furudate did his next extra chapter focusing on him

This analysis explained the brilliance of Sakusa's character so well man, great job. I would love to see a Kiryuu analysis from you too 🙏
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!!
As a Sakusa Simp I approve of this video #SakusaSimpApproved ✅
U love to see it!!!
Is there a reason why the author didn't at least show a single match itachiyama. Was the Author burned out?
Simply all the player we know were destined to not win nationals because of the message the aitor want to gave us.

Could you do a video talking about the most talented characters at Haikyuu and how their talent were portrayed?

One of the top 3 ace in Japan and hes only first year
*2nd year
Now let’s imagine his animated timeskip! I hope there would be a movie towards it
Sakusa feels like a Kita contrast or Kita on steroids
Everyone's got rivals:
Oikawa and Kageyama
Hoshiumi and Hinata
And I personally think Sakusa is the best candidate for Ushijima's rival.
Yea he is Ushiwaka's rival, it's been stated. Two monsters

In the anime in S2 Kuroo says fhat Sakusa is the no.1 ace at the no.1 school. So is that a mistake from the anime if he's on par with Ushijima??
It's not a mistake. Kuroo is saying that Sakusa was just that good.
