I love the fact, the reason Kageyma was able to rebuild his set to Hinita was because of Oikwa. It is in direct contrast from how he was in middle school. Unwilling to teach anyone who was posed as a threat anything, and I think it was a huge moment of growth!
He did contribute to that with his advice, but his advice was also half-assed. Kageyama is "dumb", he takes the whole advice literally that he needs to give what his spikers "need". Sometimes, he spikers need to be pushed. Thankfully, Atsumu woke him up.
i think in haikyuu; genius means unexplainable such as with noya like not being able to teach recieves. The great thing about Oikawa is everything about him and play he makes can be explained. His best move is the serve that he’s practiced 100 times a day for 4-5 years.
I will say this “One of the many things that make Haikyuu so good is that any character could be the protagonist and still be amazing” and Oikawa is a perfect example of this
Oikawa is a character that gives me hope for volleyball when i look at players i wish i could've played like but knowing i always have something to learn inspires me
My favorite aspect of Oikawa is that he doesn't even need to try to piss Iwaizumi off. Yet Iwaizumi also serves as his rock. Iwaizumi is a guy who'll give it to Oikawa straight, and he still clearly respects his skill.
Favorite character in the series. Dude was all about his friends and achieving victory doing things he was way no matter what. He comes off as an ass but he’s all about doing whatever he can for his friends. He was able to train his way hard enough to be able to make it at the highest level without falling off his path and going for an easier path.
these are always so interesting to watch, you bring up a lot of things i don't usually consider out of pure curiosity, is there anyone else from shiratorizawa you'd consider doing an essay on? no pressure, just wondering
Man.. reading at the latest blue lock chapters and then watching this, made me realize that the genius and talented learners also exist in haikyuu. Geniuses being the likes of Kageyama and Wakatoshi, and talented learners being the likes of Oikawa, Hinata, and Kourai 😮
Not sure if youve read Ao ashi, but imo theres alot of content and storylines further into the manga that has yet to be animated, not 100 sure if youre strict on anime only
this was a nice analysis for the most part but you make a lot of assumptions tbh, ushijima starting on the bench in the olympics is not that symbolic for anything, it was the quarterfinals and he was in the match before that instead of other players, that's what you do with a large roster
Oikawa needs his own 12 episode spinoff with him in Argentina
This would literally change lives
I would bawl my eyes if that came true
Nawww he good. More like I wanna seee Kageyama and Ushijima having their own spinoff if you manga readers know what I mean
😊

Sounds exactly like the current themes in the Blue Lock Manga 😂

Oikawa is my favourite character in the entire show. His story is so fantastic and inspiring 🩵🩵
U have great taste
@@TOIKA_2AM same bro oikawa use just that dawg
Same
Oikawa developed an inferiority complex by going up against people that ironically respected his skill.
Ushijima even respected his skill.
Kageyama is scared of oikawa and thinks he’ll never beat him and literally vice versa lmao
@jacobian9826 nah. Kageyama respects Oikawa's skill. But I guess the Aoba Johsai match could prove otherwise.
@@DragonStar524 idk what you mean, but what I said isn’t wrong, he said in the shiratori match he’s only scared of oikawa

But the whole thing was he always wanted to be there with his friends. I love the thought but he would have only gone there if others went too.

I think it says something that the author of haikyuu for their starting lineup of volleyball players oikawa was the setter let that sink in
Oikawa is one of the most talented players in haikyu I don't know why he thinks he isn't
Sometimes i feel like as a player oikawa is underrated in the fandom of his skill in favour of atsumu or kagayama
