    One of my favorite time skip panels had to be the shot of the Japan National team, and I noticed that Atsumu is wearing the #11; HIS BROTHER'S JERSEY NUMBER!
    It shows that this is how he keeps Osamu with him in spirit since Osamu doesnt play anymore, while Osamu supports Atsumu wherever he can watch while also providing him good food to keep his brother fed and fueled

    my favorite character in the show is atsumu because of his confidence and pride...he is fully capable of being any type of setter he wants which is why i believe he has every right to go overboard and be a bit extreme at times

    I think Atsumu and Osamu are the perfect rivals for Hinata and Kageyama because they both represent their worst selves, how? Glad you asked, because Atsumu represents Kageyama’s ego, tyrant like personality and his unwillingness to be a team player while Osamu represents Hinata’s distrust in Kageyama, his ego and his constant insulting of Kageyama and when they overcome Inarizaki they abandon their old selves and proved that they did learn from from their loss against Aboh Joshai and now their gonna go up against Nekoma as a true dynamic duo

      I totally agree! BUT, I think the true dynamic duo part was more of a temporary thing... as they still act the same way until the very end of the manga.

      I agree and disagree. I don't think Atsumu is not willing to be a team player, but he only respect self reliant and dependent team mates. If you are weak, you are getting no sets. His belief that his sets are always optimal, the best a spiker can ask for. Arrogant? Yes. But he for sure can walk the talk. It's just that he expect you match his level and it's not that he is just talented but he is obsessed just as how other hardworking members are obsessed.

    “Osamu matches Atsumu’s freak”
    Then alluding to their quick
    I see you…
    ALSO
    I think the “We don’t need the memories” directly ties in to the “What will you be tomorrow” theme. A huge theme in haikyuu imo is how one should look forward through how they live today, which the motto ties into.

    The timeskip flashback from Atsumu during the MSBY/Adler match made these two my favorites. They had already won me over with their introduction and banter. Yet underneath all of that, there is a VERY STRONG sense trust between them, even if its not shown on the surface.

  • @DragonStar524
    @DragonStar524 3 месяца назад +6

    The miya twins are the lerfect fools for Hinata and Kageyama.
    Osamu says he doesn't trust Atsumu, while Hinata puts full faith in Kageyama.
    Atsumu is a setter who does whatever, while Kageyama who follows the setters rules to a T.

    1:49 while this is some what true I think it is important to remember that Kindaichi said that when he tried to tell Oikawa to set to him lower he told him that the high set was the one he will use for him, he knew his teammate could go higher, showing that Oikawa thought a little like Atsumu, just not with the attitude. I think this part was cut out of the anime, which is a pitty, so I don't fault you for not remembering since it was such a small moment, but I feel it makes his character really different since he really was ahead of Kageyama, even more than we realized at the time. Sorry if I'm not explaining clearly english isn't my first languge, but I love your videos

    • @Nunelii
      @Nunelii 3 месяца назад +1

      He wasn’t « ahead » of Kageyama, he just had a way different manner to consider his teammates. The only difference between Oikawa/Atsumu and Kageyama is that they know how to put things and convince their teammates to give the best of themselves, because they trust them. Kageyama had severe abandonment and trust issues, so he was assertive with the others, not because he wants to lift them up to his level, but because he doesn’t trust them and wants to do everything by himself. In terms of game intelligence and technique, Kageyama is ahead of pretty much everyone, but as a setter, at the beginning of the anime he lacks those communication skills and the trust in his teammates. That’s where his progression margin is (was).

    • @tesshh1
      @tesshh1 3 месяца назад

      @@Nunelii Yeah… that's what I meant... that at that point as well rounded player Oikawa was better, which isn't my take, it's literally what the manga told us, like Seijo's coach said, Oikawa isn't a genious like Kageyama but right now (at that point) he is the better player, Kageyama himself admits it severall times (one of them is when he went to spy his practice), ofcourse he has better individual skill, and is a genious like everyone says, but Oikawa understands the game and teammates much better (aat first), and that is extreamly important not only because it's volleyball but also because they are setters and that is their job.

    • @tesshh1
      @tesshh1 3 месяца назад

      and sorry, my main point wasn't to say that Oikawa was so much better but that Oikawa and Atsumu aren't that different, that Oikawa doesn't agree with the goody two shoes mentallity either

    i'm almost sure that the reason Miya atsumu call those who can't hit his sets aren't valuable because his sets are already meticulously made with care and consideration taken according to the hitter tendencies... So his philosophy isnt different from Oikawa's
