"He who climbs the ladder must start at the bottom" is one of my favorite quotes. I apply it to nearly everything in my life if it feels daunting to start, like the gym, volleyball, or even my career
The fact that hinata was having a mental breakdown during that fever scene and no one can stop him not even ukai, and then there is Takeda who was able to remain calm and came up with a speech that he knew would be able to calm hinata down
Takeda is the epitome of that phrase "protect this character at all costs"! Even when he needs to be "harsh" with his words, he's still the most mindful and precious person someone can be as a mentor. There's a lot to learn and, definitely, he's an underrated character. Side note: "Learning How To Learn" is literally the name of a free course from Coursera that helped me SO MUCH to study better! Did you see it before or was it pure coincidence?
AniEssays is one of the reasons I still can't let go of Haikyuu. Such a masterpiece of a story, and this video of one of the more fundamental but often neglected characters from the team was simply beautiful!
thank you for doing this. takeda has always been my favorite non player character ever since he said that advice to kageyama and hinata at their first karasuno loss. it had always made me sad at how some viewers don't see the value of his character just because he's on the sidelines, not knowing the impact he made to our main characters' journey.
As someone in their late 20s I wish any of my coaches had given me a speech like the "even this is volleyball" speech. I had s bunch of injuries that are starting to bother me again now because I didn't properly take care of myself
I really would Have loved to See the final day of the first years and how they Say good bye to Takeda, who showed them so much more than just Volleyball.
New comment to share something: soon I'll have a tattoo based on the "he who climbs the ladder..." phrase. Takeda is THAT inspirational. Not sure about the drawing and I'm not into lettering tattoo, but I'll find out something to carry this concept woth me forever.
@@aniessayshe's honestly my favorite adult character of Haikyuu. He may not have much volleyball knowledge, yet with his job as a teacher and club advisor, he makes sure his students have all that they need to be volleyball players, and to help them grow into good people.
Your Haikyuu!! videos are always so good, and this one is no exception. Takeda is so important to Karasuno's journey and to the story. The title of this video is perfect. Greatest Teacher indeed.
man i swear when the kamomedai match gets animated everyone will be crying in the end BECAUSE OF THIS GUY his dub va did a great job making his character funny wise and the quotes still hit as hard if anyone hasnt seen the haikyuu dub before i suggest you do
