That isn’t even the fastest M4- that would be the M4 CSL… it would have been worse 😂
@@show2imec8 Eray would dog the shit out of ANY bmw production car. Same with the c8 z06. Same with the c7 z06, same with the c7 zr1 lol. Cut the crap. 2023 M4 CSL is so slow! That it did 7:15 at the Nurburgring. When the corvette did 7:13 back in 2015 with the c7 z06 with a manual transmission by a car magazine journalist. C8 z06 ran 10.2 bone stock by Will farmer, go look it up. C8 ERAY isn’t out yet but savagegeese recorded the c8 Eray doing 2.2 0-60. Hagerty recorded a c8 Eray doing a 10.4 on non prepped surface. C7 z06 ran 10.4 by will farmer 100% stock. C7 zr1 ran high 9’s again by Will farmer (AKA professional drag racer) and again STOCK. Cut the crap.
Great racing.
Sam would you take a new M4 comp or new GT500?
Without even fully watching this yet I’m sure Sam was in the losing car 😂
Good race, m4 really takes a hit in RWD
As expected with AWD weight would be fair for RWD not Xdrive M3 has same power but less weight, C8 beaten in all races
C8 has advantage of mid engine. More weight on rear tires and comes with wider tires than m4 stock. Also NA motor with lower torque and less torque at lower rpm, so bmw rear tires gets blasted with way more torque and at low rpms, further giving it a hard time putting power down.
@@MikeyG003BMW does not execute traction control better than Chevrolet either. They will never put their power down as well as any high performance *gm* vehicle because their engineering does not exceed that of the Corvette racing team or Cadillac V-series performance division.
@@G-Ratedlol how dumb do you sound? The front engine M4 beats the mid engine stingray on Nurburgring, so much for your unstoppable corvette racing team. Oh yeah and so does the m4csl against the ZL1 1le on Nurburgring with less cylinders and power. Bmw engineering>
Because using RWD will disable launch control and limit the power. BMW officially said many times that RWD mode is designated for drifting only and not drag racing, but everyone is now doing a drag race with the RWD mode.
Bet that wouldn’t happen with a c8 zo6. Seems. Unfair souped up bimmer against base c8
C8Z has horrible torque with the flat plane crank engine. These turbocharged straight 6 make crazy torque. Torque wins races period especially if you can plant it to the ground with Xdrive and for the price of a new Z you can get a much better performing car than a C8Z. the M3 and M4 with downpipes and exhaust and other supporting mods will put down 6 to 700 to the wheels AWD hell you can even tune the new Z yet very disappointing GM could have done a lot better. The C8ZR1 will be the the car to set the bar against if it has the good that are floating around.
What is the 1/4 mile time for M4 in AWD?
In the 8s. Stock in the 10s
Stock is usually 11.0 seconds@@AlexFlores-cr6hb
@@AlexFlores-cr6hb what do you mean 8 seconds than proceed to say stock in the 10s boss?
Entry level Corvette w/ RWD vs halo M4 Competition with AWD. Got it. Now let's see them around the track.
There is no shock that the Bimmer beat the h... out of the Vette!
The person driving the C8 is losing on purpose, Horrible shifts, lol. Why even waste your time posting this
Great race
A 2 door purpose built mid engine sports car vs a 2 door 4 seat sports luxury sedan and both with ~500 hp. Better bring the z06 next time boys. 😂😂😂
Y’all really feel better after this race huh? 😂
@@G-Rated yup, taking my whole family on trips while smoking c8’s at the same time… it’s pretty nice. Oh and the m4 comp xDrive beats the c8 on the reference road course (Nurburgring) too (7’30” vs 7’28.5”). Better bring the ZO6.
@@Bimmer_Bill Yea, we’re going to bring the ZO6 and maybe the E-Ray too just to humble you down, because everyone here knows whenever *you* say “C8” you’re actually talking about a base model Stingray ($65k sports-car) - which is the only Corvette that will lose a race to a $90k BMW. 😂
@@G-Rated lol you’re trying to compare a purpose built sports car to a family car? 🤣🤣🤣🤣wrong, 🥲🥲🥲🤣btw the m4 CSL is even faster than the track specific Camaro zl1 1le despite having 120 less horsepower. The mighty Eray runs the same 1/4 mile as a bmw m5 cs (10.6), the z06 is actually slower yet you say any bmw doesn’t match up? The m5cs is a four door family car too! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
GM cars at a joke compared to European cars on the track (name your vette and I show you a faster production euro car). Stick with corvette price point, you peasant
No you need a real garage is GTR & Z nissan is Real daddy!
Them turbos suckin through them turtle nostrils show ya what it do up top, nice Vette but i would take the last year model vette with a manual an normal a v8 for the more aggressive sound
I don't think the c8 launched as well as it should have but still a pretty close race
11.3 is about as good as you can get on a C8.
@bobbyspanino6874 ok but I feel like it could have gotten a better 0 to 60, I've seen 2.7 2.6 from the c8 stingray
@@chrism869 possibly so if equipped with the Z51 package. C8 in the video is a regular C8
@@bobbyspanino6874actually no multiple drivers have managed 10.9 stock with a c8 so it does have a little more room. But either way the m4 is sandbagging in horsepower numbers, everyone knows when you dyno an m4 it actually makes more power than bmw claims, the real crank hp numbers is around 600hp range do. This m4 will not stand a chance against the e ray corvette.
@@N0neofyourbusiness.C8s will not do 10.8-10.9 stock wtf are you smoking?
"Average Joe's " love to hate on BMW 🤣
Define "average joe"? are you trying to say poor?
Not surprising to me. The Corvette is a beast up until 60, but falls on its face after that.
Well done for n/a engine, good job Vette!
Disappointed with C8 I expected more
It’s the base model sting ray, not a z06. Idk what you were expecting 😂
@@nhlanhlamagagula7467.
@@MikeyG003 was expecting it to outperform the m3...M3 is family saloon with back seats while c8 is a sport car..
@@nhlanhlamagagula7467you must not be familiar with that an m3 can do then lmao. Results as expected for anyone that knows cars
Did NOT expect that 😮😮😮
What was the first drag race time with the BMW using its x-drive?
The BMW coolaid drinker probably chipped his car..
Car and driver had the same results
I own a Supra, at least for a short while longer. It will be for sale soon, but as far as performance, it moves. It has HKS exhaust, but even before that, I thought it has to be making more than 400HP!
Funny you say that. I have a 2022 z4 M40i, same platform, and I swear it’s over 400 for sure, more like 425. Very fast car. Just as fast as my C6.
Expected with similar HP and torque. I saw one race on RUclips with a M4 with 503 HP vs Ford Mustang GT500 with 760 HP! They were wondering why the M4 lost?
Can we do the same race with atop shelf Dodge product?😀
Power to weight ratio shows that both cars are equal even after dynamometer test.
At 0:26, it looks like the Bimmer's hood is up. Hope that's all it was.
Like in all other video, top of the line against regular c8, bring z06 or E-Ray
U serious? This isn't top of the line. A m5 or m8 is. Also these are the same price. A z06 with dealership markups are going for 160k same with the eRay
I love putting the gap on them c8 in my Supra, especially when I know almost all of them paid 30k more than I did for their car.
I have an M4 and although I've never raced a Corvette, I'm not sure how the M4 would do against a Z06. I'm guessing not near as well lol. Maybe an M4 with a tune could beat the Z06 but not a stock M4.
The bmw m4 with a downpipe and tune will run laps around the Z06, find a good tuner
Yeah!!! The M4 has 503hp.....to the wheels!!!
Who cares? Lol
@@user-yi9hz3or2t BMW cares!!!
Great video. What was the time for the XDrive mode? Was it below 11 seconds for the 1/4 mile?
I would imagine under 11 - 2.2 0-60
Mine pulls low 11.2s all day long
Vette boys mad 😂. Eray this eray that, give the m4 650hp lile the eray and it'll dog that too! 😂 cry harder
I have been saying it since the beginning, the base C8 should have came with 520-530hp stock out the door. The 495hp is a joke in modern cars and the small block definitely can crank out that type of power with no problem.
Guy in the c8 doesn't know how to drive it
Not shocked at all. The Corvette winning would’ve been shocking.
I didn't expect the Vette to lose.
Its overrated no idea why ppl idolize this car lol
Americans measure power at the crank.
Germans measure power at the wheels.
M3 and M4 makes probably 600 motor easy , there so underrated. Has anyone ever dyno them in stock to see ? Standard c8 no chance.
What was the time on the BMW Xdrive mode 0-60?
I would like to see M2 vs Corvette, because in some tests M2 is not far off M3/M4
Wow, how good the bmw did against vet in x drive I would like to see the bmw against the c8 z06🤷♂️😁
It would be nice to see the specs a little more clearly for us older folks thankyou
Hi Sam! Need a drag race video between Nissan z nismo vs bmw m2.
Soon!
That would be a waste of time, the m2 would beat the nismo every time.
Forced induction makes a huge difference in these races!
So what was the time of the m4 in Xdrive??
The V6 totally *ate* the V8 ALL the times 🤣🤣. It was just too funny to see how efficient turbos can be. Gotta love efficiency.
V6???? Lmfao

Why didn’t you post your xdrive quarter mile run?
Machine didn’t record
One time i think it was 2.4 for xdrive
Wait - did we just see America's greatest sprots car get smoked mulpiple times by a 2nd rate German sedan??!!! Wow - that's nuts!!!
Great review Sam...but please provide stats we been begging for stats on all races...still not today
We don’t have the machines for roll races
@@SamCarLegion11.3 corvett 1\4 mile 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣.. 12.3 maybe.???
S58 motor is just ridiculous 🔥
2wd race is BS. The xDrive M4 isn't meant to race in 2wd. It doesn't have any launch control in that mode and only uses a basic traction control.
If you want to run a 2wd against the Vette, use a 2wd M4. It at least have the ability to put the power down and had launch control.
People are moaning about ‘horsepower’ in the BMW. They should be talking bout it makes a crap load of torque more than the C8 through the rev range (as advertised by BMW…)
