  • a beautiful new enclosure for some Amazon milk frogs as a gift for a friend. I'm so happy with the results, and Ben's stanky lil leg agrees. This sort of tropical jungle, arboreal setup would be perfect for a ton of frog and amphibians species including Whites tree frogs, Red eyed tree frogs, and even some dart frogs, to name a few. Tons of species of reptiles including crested geckos, gargoyle geckos, and abronia??? would feel right at home here. but who knows, thats for a different video. SEE YOU SOON
    A huge thank you again to @JoshsFrogs . Enjoy ben hugs and kisses, hags

    YOU BAKED THE WOOD TO SANITIZE IT? i've only ever boiled it... is it safe? did that work??

  • @amrkw1998
    @amrkw1998 Год назад

    do the frogs need a water space to live better or it's the same without water? I'd like to replicate it with a 30cmx30cm old aquarium tank but as a terrarium/paludarium but I can't manage to make a big water pool on that

    • @leafystreet
      @leafystreet  Год назад

      It'll depend on the species, but a majority will appreciate a water feature, even if it's something this size. What's in the video is a minimum for Milk frogs. With some, you can make an entirely aquatic base like Reed frogs

    what’s the process of you putting wood in your enclosures? I’ve seen you go from baking it to boiling it why is that and how do you do that? how do you find good wood for an enclosure for a leopard gecko for example

    • @leafystreet
      @leafystreet  Год назад

      hey so you could go about it a few ways. You can buy online from places like Josh's frogs or Aqua terra supply. That could be baked but isn't totally necessary. Expos are also good. Ive used expo wood and had mold outbreaks and regretted not baking, but it can be pure luck for any of the above options wether you can an outbreak during your intital cycle. Most mold generally resolves itself after an 8 week cycle, and proper ventilation.
      You can get wood and leaf litter from outside but stick to just oak and maple if you can. I only buy leaf littler but outdoor collections could be boiled. This wood was found outside, I baked it at 250 for 3 hours to kill and spores or hitchhikers i couldn't see on the surface

      Well you won’t be loving life for long if you do much nibbling in random ornamental or landscape plants, a surprising number of them will be toxic to you. I know you’re joking but I’m not! People worry about mushrooms growing in their yard without ever realizing there’s half a dozen or more deadly plants within sight.
