    I'm so excited to share this one! It's been in the works for a few weeks now and was a lot of work, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. How do you think it compares to the original?

      Your Duckies are fortunate to be in the bigger happy place, that perfectly capture the beauty of nature.
      You posted this just in time as I started building my Ducky habitat based on your original idea last night. I like how you used cycled old substrates. If the wet rocks and under rocks are the hot spots, (just like what we observe in common Lolly Pollies in backyards), then I’d try increase such spots in my plan. Thank you again for this video at this timing!!!

    It really shows how much you care for your animals knowing you were able to breed rubber ducky isopods. Youre such an amazingly kind and considerate human being for, despite learning this, you still wanted to make their tank bigger

      It’s great to see someone who actually cares about the animals and doesn’t just use them for props and views, like so many animal RUclipsrs. Paul Cuffaro is maybe the worst offender. I’d love to get Tanner’s thoughts.

      That actually makes it believable. Humans subcontiously de-randomize things. That's something nature isn't capable of. Throwing is pretty much what wind would do in nature. The leaves stay where they stay and drop where they drop. Perfect randomizer.

    these last few builds have been truly on a new level! I'm loving the shift from tropical jungle looks for larger builds to something that much more closely resembles something you could head out and see locally. I'm studying herpetology and art, and one of my major crossroads interests is enclosure design. I feel like enclosures that house native species and mimic local environments could be an excellent way to get folks interested in conservation. The biggest step is letting people know what's out there!

  • @Cyberdragunz
    @Cyberdragunz 8 месяцев назад +53

    My coworker is giving me her old aquarium and I plan on turning it into a slice of local nature. There's an abundance of moss and ground creeping plants, twigs and branches, leaf litter, etc. Perfect to home isopods and centipedes

    The algorithm is being unfair to you. Your recent videos have really been excellent and the new studio and capacity adds so much to your videos. I imagine a reptile/frog vid will help pull a few more views or another less-natural habitat like the crystal caves or play button one. Just hoping you keep getting enough support to make these vids. Maybe even patreon?

They are way more active (visually) than any other colony we have, Including our "dairy cows". Anyways love your work and THANKS again!!

    Beautiful setup but I couldn't help myself but to add a front view of a small water pooling area with a couple coolie loaches and/or maybe some nano-fish. I'd also need one area that had a small visible waterfall and I know the rubber ducky fans will hate me for this but I'd love to fill that tank with various poison dart frogs. Ohhh the possibilities. I have to hand it to you, such dedication for Rollie-Pollies.

    I love seeing someone else put so moch work into the critters that are usually forgotten about . I did this same thing for the dubia roach colony I have . They are for my tarantula but because she only needs to eat every like 2 weeks . They needed something more . Plus the better you care for the food . The better it is for what eats it . And ever since I made their new home . They started breeding again and I love seeing them all come out when I feed them lol. I got attached to the biggest female. So she’s like the matriarch of the colony now and will never be eaten by nova lol
