- Gillian Lucky is an Attorney at Law who has in the past occupied the positions of Senior State Counsel at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions; Government Senator; Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs, Opposition Member of Parliament and a Temporary High Court Judge. Gillian is currently the Director of the Police Complaints Authority; a columnist with the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian newspaper; host of the television programme Just Gill and Principal of the Academy of Tertiary Studies (ATS).
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. why put this person on TED to talk about courage. Courage is not having a wellspring of accumulated wealth and contacts to fall back on. or taking a cushy job without any real action. in real courage comes from action like Kiran Bedi.
