TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos -- sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.

A lovely speech, she began by explaining that she had broad goals and gave many examples of how that is OK as people achieved great success without definite goals.

Not a very good public speaker. Too many uhs and ams ; very intelligent but not impressed with her fluency in dialogue.

Why are Trinidadians so obsessed with Americans . This lady is giving a speech @ University of The West Indies.. yet all her role models are Americans..She speak about Oprah Winfrey, Ted Turner , Jack Warner etc etc.....Americans DO NOT give a damn about Trinidadians or any other people of the Caribbean...Trinidadians are always trying to be what they are not...I am sure there are successful Jamaicans, Trinidadians, Vincentians who would make perfectly good role models - Trinis are just to much..sad sad
