Great job, absolutely loved the video. And yes, I too must say your solo mode for Star Wars Deck Building is amazing and I absolutely love it. Thank you 🙏🏻
Great video as always. I laughed out loud when Arnold stopped you from giving up the christmas jumper. I've just bought 2 games from this list, and it's not even December yet! Brand New Cartographers for £15, and used Jaws of the Lion for £12. Please save me, o Great Mother of Piles of Shame. Maybe I should consider what Arnie once said: “Yeah sure, some people say they sleep 8 hours. For them I have only one message: Sleep faster.”
@@GreenGawain haha thank you 🤣 damn Jaws for £12!!! What a steal. I have a mighty pile of shame myself... Cloning technology can't get here soon enough haha
Great vid, thanks. It makes me sad, but there are a ton of very popular solo games that just don't do anything for me. These include Marvel Superheroes, Gloomhaven, Final Girl, Under Falling Skies, and Spirit Island. I can appreciate that they're well-designed games, good productions, clever ideas, etc. but they make me yawn. This makes it difficult to decide what games to try next, because even if something has rave reviews I might wind up disappointed. Oh well. Thankfully there are tons of games for everyone, and I've found plenty that I do love.
I say this respectfully, but I am baffled by the praise that Warp’s Edge gets. I bought a copy 4 years ago, was on a solo kick after having so much fun with Terraforming Mars and Roll Player and Spirit Island, and then I tried Warp’s Edge and my gawd did it fall flat for me. But maybe I gave up on it too early, I don’t know.
@@paulhamrick3943 I hear you. I think the shine wears off after a while. But for the price point, it's a neat product to introduce people to solo-only games. The components, art, and bag-building elements just have a cool factor to them. I pull it out on rare occasion these days, but yeah it doesn't hold a candle long term to TM or Spirit Island.
Hey! First video I've seen from anyone with Age of Civilization recommended. It's such a fast great little game.
Thank you! Agreed!

There are lots of people out there who should be grateful for your video when Christmas day comes around!
@@davidatkinson703 I hope they get tons of presents 😁
Great video and great set of categories!
Thank you!
Great video man!
A lot of interesting suggestions 😁
I like the format, your calm voice and how you go into details, not just "I love this"
Thank you for watching!

Fantastic video!

Grrat idea for a video! I enjoy this kind of thing, especially for the holidays
@@brianfrazee584 Thank you! Glad you enjoy it!
Ashes looks great but with the solo expansion is pretty expensive for what it is (~80€).
@@ironartur you're not wrong. For less than that you can get a marvel champions core set, that has a lot more solo content.

Thank you! The only time that happened to me was with Marvel Legendary.

@ honestly I probably gave up on it too early. And I have enjoyed other smaller solo games, I love Fleet: The Dice Game for instance.
I've played Warp's Edge so much, and don't see myself getting rid of it.
I like the pace, and the variation.
Have you tried Conservas?
@@Weedaxe420 I haven't but I've heard it's too easy.
