Solid list. I just started getting solo board games. Fleet was one of first ones I played and I really enjoyed it. Twilight Inscription is the other and it is an absolute blast to play.

I stumbled across your channel this afternoon. I saw you had Dwellings of Eldervale on your shelf. That is my favorite solo experience of all time. I was initially extremely scared of the size. I wouldn't consider myself a quote board gamer. I now own all of Luke Laurie games. I can't wait for Adromada's Edge! 🚀🚀🚀
Back in 2022, it was my favourite board game of all time. It's slipped a little but still top 20. It's also still got my fave type of combat, it's crazy simple and doesn't overpower the game play. Such a great choice, I haven't played it solo for probably 18 months, but you have convinced me to get it to the table again 😁

I have not played it sadly but love the idea of all those dice and improving your character through better dice. Reminds me a little like ISS Vanguard in that regard, which I do really love. I need to get on board and try some Chip Theories, problem is they just are not that easy to track down outside of backing Kickstarters 😒

Heya mate, thanks heaps. Yeah I use the DJI Mic, but I have noticed the new DJI Mic 2 has just been released. I assume the Mic 2 improves the original, but I have been extremely happy with the one I have.

I play 2pl with my husband a lot, but we both have our fave solos that we enjoy. He's more of a Final Girl soloist, while I'm into Agricola and the like.

Agricola is such a wonderful game, great choice 👏 Yeah we are the same, primarily 2p with my partner as well but I love to play solo when I can. It's just a different experience but still lots of fun 😁 Haha I haven't had Matilda in a video for a while. Betty is patiently waiting her turn for the next video!

I have not played Marquis but Coffee Roasters is a great choice indeed. Played it once years ago and really enjoyed it. I really should look into some more truly dedicated solo-only games.

Great suggestions. As you were showing the Sleeping Gods games in the background, I was in the comments already about to type "Lands of Galzyr" as an excellent story, sort-of campaign, starter solo game, but you beat me to it! Nice picks here!
I started out years ago when I got Star Wars Outer Rim and set it up to play with someone who ended up having to bail on me. I then saw there was solo-play and was immediately hooked on solo gaming. Some other great picks that are focused on solo only are Maquis, Black Sonata, Warps Edge and Under Falling Skies. Also, for roll-and-writes, I also love sitting down and drawing out a map in Cartographers.
Haha yeah massive fan of Lands of Galzyr. I play it with my youngest daughter and solo, both are great in there own way.

Have a few of the games you mention. I'm solo only. Started in the hobby about 6 months ago. Unlocked series looks interesting. Have discovered a strong preference for narrative/campaign games like Earthborne Rangers & Sleeping Gods Distant Skies. Just about to buy ISS Vanguard .... is yours out of wrap yet? 😉 No video yet that I can find. Looking forward to your thoughts.
Hey mate appreciate the comment, ISS Vanguard was cracked open last night to look over the rules, in anticipation of playing it this week solo. There is soooo much to get through, slightly overwhelming at first sight but super excited to finally get this to the table. I will be sure to jump back on here and give you my initial thoughts after playing 👍

Some of my favorite solo games: Warp Drive, Jump Drive, Star Realms Frontiers, Tiny Epic Kingdoms and Tiny Epic Galaxies, Age of Galaxy, Age of Civilization, For Glory with solo play expansion.
So many titles I'm yet to try, but have played Tiny Epic Galaxies at 4 player. I should try this and also Tiny Epic Vikings at solo soon to see how they play. Thanks heaps for the comment.

I have similar problems in Australia with some games. It seems every country not named the US has this issue sadly. Land of Galzyr I was super lucky as only 1 store stocked it around me. Sometimes you get lucky! Thanks for the comment 👍

I have made up full seasons and played solo through it, tracking all the teams (colours) throughout. Carrying over standings between races and some exhaustion. Basically I made my own fan-made solo and I just love it 😀
Great list of game recs! Some of my favorite at the moment are Everdell, Wyrmspan and Lost Tuins of Arnak. I was trying to steer clear of Lorcana for a long time because tcgs can get so expensive. Up until recently, my sister got me sucked into it and I caved in. Ravensburger released a solo play mode quest against Ursula and it's such an easy set up and play but so challenging. I've been so addicted to playing it and feels so relaxing to play for me (considering you're trying to defeat Ursula). Anyhow, thanks for sharing!
Seems like we have very similar taste in games. Everdell is in my top 5 games of all time and I really do enjoy both Wyrmspan and Arnak. But Lorcana is the big hit for me lately. Australia only just got First Chapter last week and we are playing catch up. I can't wait for Ursula to drop so I can try that solo.

Tiny Towns is surprisingly thinky, it's amazing how quickly your town board fills up and you realise how inefficient you have been lol or maybe that's just me

While the Automa in SM is best known you really should mention Automa Factory as they are the ones who actually create them.
My favorite Roll/Flip and Writes are Cartographers, Dinosaur Island Rawr n Write, and Three Sisters.
A lot of you list are in my collection:

Wingspan (although it’s honestly one of my least favorite Automa’s for SM games)

Ian you truly are spot on. There is a guy who works for Stonemaier who runs the Automa factory and yes this man is the brains behind the solo. I am not sure if it's a team but I have heard Jamey refer to him in the past. Thank you for correcting me 👍
I'm sorry I have not played Legacy of Yu yet. But yes sounds like we have very similar tastes, so I must go check it out for sure.
@@BangersProject His name is Morten Mondrian Pedersen (I think Automa Factory is a group of people at this point) and he actually just released his first game I believe it was. It’s a card game called Skoventyr and was published through inPatience. It’s a good solo game as well.
@@BangersProject I just figured when you were mentioning games types of games at the beginning Legacy of Yu may have come up as a mention under campaign games. We definitely have a lot in common.
Mate I will need to check this game out. You are certainly teaching me some new games to go check out. I reckon the solo on it would have to be good with their pedigree

Other great solo roll n writes: Rolling Realms (from Stonemaier), Super Skill Pinball, Draft and Write Records, and an oldie would be Roll Through The Ages
Other solo games to try: Terraforming Mars, Race for the Galaxy (with the Gathering Storm expansion), Obsession, Agricola, Fantastic Factories, Ark Nova (especially with the fan made A.R.N.O. app)
