- In my first ever install video I will be showing how to install the Mountune M235 MAP and air intake. This is a step by step guide to installing the M235 map onto the Ford Fiesta ST MK 8.

Hello from the USA. As you probably know, we won't be getting the MK8 so I'll just have to sit here and be jealous. I'll never forget the day I put in the MP215. It really wakes the car up. Can't imagine how good the M235 must feel.
Dude I know the USA isn’t getting the MK8!!
You guys are really missing out. I have driven some really nice cars in my days but there isn’t much that will touch the MK8 on the good old English back roads. I am in the proses of putting together more videos so keep your eyes opened. Stay safe!!

The colour is the best ain't it, and the pano roof is good to. I have only had mine since Feb so I am looking forward to driving it through the summer.
@@G5MAV I've had mine since last year, so tempted with MP235, I previously had MP275 on focus ST... Presumably you are not worried about voiding Ford warranty.. silver fox is lovely.. do you have the performance pack option.. oh one thing listening to part2 torque mount is a must.. as it uses standard fiesta one.. so I'm told

Great video mate, I’m looking into getting a mk8 ST.. just needs to work out best way to pay. I just don’t want to be slapped with the 9k final payment after 3 years!
There ain’t a lot you can do to get around that. You could take out a lone at the end of the 3 years but then you are stuck with the car for another 2 years or you can trade it in at the end of the 3 years and get another one for roughly the same money. Just make sure the get the Performance pack!!
Buy a used one, they are down to around 14-15k now
Great video mate as well your other vids, very useful 👍🏼 , although I'm confused why removed the MAF sensor from the OEM lid as the whole lid comes off and clips onto the Mountune box? Keep up the good work!

Cheers for the comment. I do follow you on here and watch all your videos. I did watch ya last video about you thinking of changing your mk7 to a mk8. The colour of mine is the best and the performance pack is a must. I have just order my exhaust and an Intercooler so I’ll be posting videos on these soon.

Finally a video on this, big like! Does Mountune send you a file without permanent launch control? That is a dealbreaker for me...
Cheers mate. If you mean removing the restriction on stationary rving then yes they have. My part 2 video will be out later today or tomorrow explaining the differences of the 2 maps they send you. Watch to the end and you will see me reving the car to the limiter when not moving. If you have any more questions let me know....

@@G5MAV Yes I mean that, so that's good news! I like to rev it, obviously :D Would like to know if you notice any difference in consumption and if the cylinder deactivation is still there in normal mode (I get awesome mpg with it, in long trips). Waiting for part 2. All the best!

Great vid - where does the soft black tube that comes out the bottom of the air box actaully go? I'm installing this tomorrow and will be using this vid as a guide !!

The whole Mountune thing is interesting because you can actually keep your Ford warranty.
@@stevendufour Not on this one it’s not, therefore it’s very risky if you’ve got warranty remaining, plus my car is PCP so also goes against the agreement conditions 😩

How easy was it to program the vehicle. How long from when you installed the dongle to uploading the files from mountune please
Hi. Nice vid. I'm looking to get the kit soon. They're out of stock at the moment.
My question is to the vehicle mode buttons. When you select the normal driving mode I'm assuming this just runs the standard map? Then sport mode operates the mountune map?
Just picked up a brand new Puma St, thinking to fit this tune on it, but reading the warranty questions i am not sure what's best.

You didn’t use the zip tie at the end of the air hose or you skipped that part in the video?

The cable tie is for fixing the sensor cable back to the air box. You do see me cutting it off when I was removing the top part.

Can you just unplug the smartflash if you don’t need it ? Or does it have to stay plugged in once installed ?
Once the map is on the car you can remove the hand set. You do not need it plugged in all the time. Only when changing maps.

Hello, I would like to know what is the purpose of the Mountune kite pipe going down? (You said it maybe in the video but I am French and my English is not perfect) :) Thank you

The extra pipe going down is for extra air flow into the air box. You have to pass the pipe down under the car so if picks up better air flow.

I’m using a lumix GX8 with am Olympus 9-16mm 1:4-5.6. I’ve recently got a Rode go mic but I have been having trouble getting it to
Work as the input on the GX8 is a 2.5mm balanced input. My GoPro is a only a GoPro 4 black and bits are filmed with my iPhone 11. I use Final Cut Pro for my editing as I’m a apple snob lol.
G5MAV Great, thanks for all the info mate, the video looks very clear, and yeah the rode mic with improve the audio for sure. I use a DJI osmo pocket and and gopro hero 8 black for my skiing videos but am thinking about making a few videos on modifying my MK8 ST. I’m sure they’ll serve the purpose fine going off what you’re using!
Just got this delivered today (Saturday) so have to wait untill Monday for the files. Just wondering if you unplug the obd dongle after completion or leave it in permanently?
Installing this m235 with no airbox, Just a mountune air filter Is ok? Or temperature go too up?

Followed your tutorial to fit mine, it really helped especially as I didn’t have a clue what I was doing! Do you find the air box doesn’t add any extra noise? As I think mine is as quiet as the stock one
Yer I didn’t notice any noise difference. I have changed mine to a Airtec filter now and that has mad a massive difference to the sound.

It’s not covered by warranty. If you still have your warranty I’d wait until it’s expired !

Well done. Get a short shift fitted. How many maps did they give?
There are 2 maps that are the same but with different rev limiters for launch control. If you look closely are the email in the video it explains the difference there. I have the standard map and anti-theft map now. I will be doing my follow up video soon so keep your eyes open to see!
M225 is better and funny. You are tested ?
M235 disappointed for me but m235 is very nice for performance and trackday
why are you disappointed ?
M235 is an improvement over M225, I've driven both!
