I recently installed the Collins Performance torque mount with mixed poly bushes (purple and yellow). Minimal increase an NVH, but the gear changes are so much better - really crisp and the wheel hop has gone. £s very well spent IMO. Easy installation as demonstrated by Gavin.
Hi great video i fitted the revo and after a few weeks had to remove it bad vibration between 1500 revs and 2500 had to keep changing gear to avoid it not had the car tuned yet
Hey, super cool video, very helpfull, very well explained and realy like the way u are showing the differnce, last lime with short shift and card board, this time with water. Why did u decide for powerflex over others?
Cheers mate I went with the Powerflex because you can change the bushes on these. The one I got is the softest one. This is fine for everything driving. I do think the harder bushes will be to much for the road but I might try then out when I am board one day.
Powerflex revised the bush/design recently to improve it and resolve the issues people have been having with them. Looks like yours is the newer version. PS great Vids - I have the exact same car, albeit in 3 door, same colour but running Dreamscience (was very close between Mountune & DS!!)
Yer I did find out that my mount is an updated one. To be fair I didn’t realise there as a problem with them before I got mine. Cheers for your comments, I’ve got plenty more to come.
what's the difference between the earlier ones and the updated one? I'd guess the part numbers would be the same, what are the visual cues? I also saw that Revo's torque mount has gone out of stock due to a revision, they have worked with Powerflex on the failures and now they are starting the production of a revised mount.
Just put my Powerflex mount on, and already u can tell it's the best 1 out there, I've now tried the Revo mount which was horrible and also the Pumaspeed mount which was slightly better than Revo but now having got the Powerflex on already really good so thanks for your video, really helpful 👍
Hi Gavin, greetings from Australia. I know you did this mod awhile ago I just wondering how its going so far? I took delivery of my PB MK8 Fiesta ST a week ago and I just got this Powerflex mount in the mail. Thanks mate, Ryan.
Hello. I just got the powerflex on my ST but i think the vibrations is sounding like an old Golf 2 starting up. 😂 Is this going to be better in the nearest future or is it just the same? If not, i have to put on the stock one on again. 😆 Hope you will reply soon. 🙂
As it has been months now. How is the vibration? Normally it should settle in after a month. But if it is too much for your taste, go back to the old one.
I don’t know much about Collin to be fair. I don’t think mine is as bad as your by the sound of it. With mine you can feel a slight increase of vibration when you pull away but it’s not that bad. Might be worth trying a different brand as the standard one is to soft. You can get inserts for the standard mount from powerflex. powerflexstore.co.uk/ford/fiesta-mk8-st-200-2017-on/powerflex-lower-torque-mount-large-bush-insert-fiesta-mk8-st-200-2017-on-pff19-2224/?gclid=CjwKCAjw8df2BRA3EiwAvfZWaCFbGFTh9_MdZXHlTkdnsusoYnM9aOXlvKukcPdunUSpbvysQGoNPhoC7WwQAvD_BwE
@@philhill7973 powerflex make most of the bushes I believe mate, and these were revised recently! May be worth trying the latest Powerflex one or another brand. I'm trying to see how people are finding it before I buy one
Hey mate, nice vid, I was worried doing it on my ST, but looking at how easy it is, I'll give it a go ! Anyway, why Scorpion exhaust over Miltek one ? And now that you've been under the engine, have you look if there was a factory BOV on your car, cause it's seems like some ST got one, and other doesn't, and it's a bugger realy cause I ordered a Turbosmart open BOV, and I feel like it won't fit on my car... Cheers
Hey I went for the scorpion because everyone I spoke to have said that the scorpion has the deepest sound, oh and I really like the look at the black tips on the scorpion. No I haven't looked for the BOV as yet but I know what you are talking about. I am still unsure if I want one or not but I will have a proper look when I am fitting the scorpion. I am sure I can come up with a solution once I have had a look.
@@G5MAV Great video. There has been a lot of conversations on the MK8 forums about what torque settings to use for this mount, I think powerflex say 45nm for the 16mm bolt and 47nm for the 15mm bolt. Other companies suggest for their own mounts about 54nm. I think when I do mine I will probably do 50nm. Glad to see you have got the new updated mount as the earlier ones had quite a few failures. Thanks again for all your videos, they will help me out a lot.

Such convenient timing! I’ve been meaning to fit mine for a month now!
get it on mate. it really makes a difference!!

Had the Revo mount on for a month or so, vibration was awful so bought the Powerflex mount, hope it's a lot better than Revo
To be fair I hardly notice mine now. They get a bit better once they have worn in a bit.

Is the Stamp on Launch Control away with this Torque Mount?
Any long term updates on this? Has the NVH reduced?

I took mine off to much vibration for me on idle with a/c on , ridiculous!
Was yours the same as mine? I can feel the difference with the mount on there but I can put up with the feel because on the performance benefits.

The BOV can't be fitted on models after mid 2019

I didn't own a torque wrench but I have received mine from amazon today. I will double check everything in the net few days.
