Woo hooooo, was able to participate in back to back Monday Live Workouts. Hoping to make it to the Power Step too. I appreciate the comfort level provided to use the weights that are just right for each of us. I had shoulder surgery 4 years ago, and the surgeon mentioned that they did a bicep tenotomy, where the tendon is cut and allowed to retract into the upper arm, where it heals to the humerus after a few weeks. I worked so hard on my PT, and feel so strong. I am slowly increasing my weights, but I know my limits with each move we do. Thank you Chris for the reminders that form is so important and to only use weights that allow you to do it with proper form. Your classes are safe, challenging and super fun. 💕😄
Really appreciate you Christina - talking about body image. At 52, post menopause, shifting weight is like rolling a boulder up hill 😛 The thought whilst watching you both was, I would love sculpted arms like you both have - and then I listened to you - and acceptance came through, this is not my reality and may never be. I love me and what I have 💕 THANK YOU 💯

I had backed off on workouts for a while as I have a tender right deltoid. I’m slowly starting to do my shoulders again but with lighter weights. Love how Audrey is representing at 69! An inspiration, even if part of it is genetics!

I took a webinar a few weeks ago about a new way of health-ing, HAES, Healthy At Every Size. It's about your health markers, not your size/weight/BMI, but your BP/cholesterol/A1C, that stuff. Get those in line, and that's how you can live your best life. I also like to think of it as Happy At Every Size. I'm getting there. I'm changing my mind-set. My boyfriend loves my body, loves my bootie, which was always the bane of my existence. But when I would tell him he was crazy, I realized that was an insult to him. I'm not afraid to shake my groove thing. It's me and it's what he wants so it's what I want!

This was superb! I think these are my favorite muscle groups to work, and I loved that we were working the same muscles, but in different ways (instead of repeats). Made the time fly, and OMG, is my upper body feeling it! Thank you!

Did this after a busy day at work today. And just before power step so I was glad for this 25 minute but very effective arms strength workout.
Loved that you reminded me that the shape of our bodies is what makes us who we are and that we’re all different. When I was young I used to be a skinny minny, but now I’m in my 50’s I know I wouldn’t be like that anymore and I’m happy with how toned I am thanks to your fitness classes (also I have a big butt too 😉) 👌🏻💪🏻🧘🏼♀️🏋️♀️

There is some cheesy quote about being yourself because everyone else is taken. Don't you love meeting people who are unique? What if everyone looked like a Barbie? BORING! One of hte great things about Niagra was seeing all the body shapes and sizes. We all do the same workouts, and we all look different. It was mind blowing and beautiful. PS - watching Audree choose heavier weights based on what you were choosing inspired me to go heavier too!

I remember when I started working out over 7 years ago and had 3,5 and 8lbs in the beginning and thinking these are sooooo heavy and little by little I kept getting heavier! It does happen gradually and one day BAM! Those 8’s turned to 12s then 15s then 25’s!!!💪💪💪My only downfall was not starting when I was in my 20’s…. But at least I started, little late but started and kept it going😅
