After 13 years my Sennheiser HD477s were kaput so I replaced them with Skullcandy Hesh 2.0 headphones - that was 4 years ago and they are still going strong. I did need to order replacement earpads off ebay. Pity they went wireless with the Hesh 3.0.
Hi Paul, yes, the older skullcandy headphones were incredible and durable. It's the new generation where qualify has fallen. I also agree with you on the Hesh 3.0. Thanks for your support buddy. 👍🏻

Back in my wee child days, I remember absolutely loving SkullCandy's Ink'd earphones. Would like to see if I could buy another one of those to see if it still holds up (trying to cleanse the nostalgia glasses a bit. lol)

I had 2 different pair of Skullcandy headphones and neither one of them really held up as well as other cheaper brands I had at the time.

Not as much as before, but back in the day there were a lot of people using skullcandy earbuds! ☠️
The new Skullcandy headphone designs are, sorry to say -- absent. The reason I liked & purchased Skullcandy, in the past, was due to its fantastic/plentiful visual designs, and also its unique features. But mostly, it's because the sound quality was 'good enough' and the art/design/style choices were AMAZING! I think they should pick like 5 of the top selling designs, over the last 15 years -- and bring those back, but with improved sound from R&D and basic functions that work solidly/reliably. This would bring the brand back to full capacity, I hope.
I guess that the best thing Skullcandy can do now is to reduce the price and run at a loss till they get a good number of customers and then make changes to the product that'll make them a profit. They could even make like a limited edition headphone for the people who really wanted one as a child cuz it used to be really popular before.
I love the Skullcandy crushers and evils is the best I’ve heard I also owns Sony XM fours so both both of these headsets are my favorite great job Skullcandy I love the evils

The Titans were some of the best wired earbuds I've ever used back in the day. They were the 1st thing I bought with my Best Buy discount. They lasted about 4 years and countless accidental runs through the washer and dryer and still worked fine. They're sadly not their former self anymore and I've nestled in with Sony for my audio products.

I still hold a variety of headphones, all over the board. I love my Skullcandy Aviators (brown and gold, with see-through drivers), but they have a wire, ugh. I also, nowadays, have some amazing headphones/earbuds from other brands. My most used headphones, right now, are: * Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 {best earbud full sound!}, * Skullcandy Venue Wireless ANC Over-Ear - white {best regular use and good bass sound, not so durable}, * SOL REPUBLIC Tracks HD V10 On-Ear Wired Headphones - silver and black {best rebel-looking, full-sound on-ear headphones}, * Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Wireless Earbuds {better for talking than the Sennheiser, but not for sound}, * Marshall Monitor Bluetooth Over-Ear Wireless Headphone - Black {best rock/power sound! And cool looking with simple controls}.

The Skullcandy Hesh 2 Wireless lasted me 2 years. The Skullcandy Hesh 3 lasted me 2 months.

Ok. This video was definitely not what I expected it to be. I expected you to talk about the quality of the headphones or the “decline in quality” but the only thing you mentioned was financial issues and competitors. Personally I would’ve enjoyed you talking about the headphones instead of the decline in sales.

The name alone is rad and the logo is perfect... I have the hesh 2.0's and just got a pair of grind's (that I'm still trying to figure out how to use in ways) lol. Solid products and it won't empty your bank account like other brands.

I crazy love skull candy gadget espectially skull candy headphone..Hope one day I have a chance to have one of this headphone ( skullcandy crusher, skullcandy crusher evo or skullcandy hesh anc) but for now I only have a chance to buy skullcandy hesh 3 in my hand..In Malaysia Skullcandy headphone is still quite expensive..espectially when I doesn't have a job now 😔😔

I agree. Skullcandy has definitely gone down in quality. I've found cheaper earphones than it better in bt connection.

if you love Bass then you will love skull candy crusher's line - that is what they are known for today in my opinion , the crusher evo and the crusher anc which i own are the best bass headphones out there for the common working person...... I tried the $500.00 dollar beats and thought their bass was junk, sony- what bass? when it comes to bass all other companies are like eating sirloin steak. When you try the Crushers anc or the Evo- crusher it is like having Prime Rib every day........I prefer sound quality of Bass over popularity or fashion. Yet to be honest i think their earbuds that i have the sesh, indy evo are junk compared to cheaper brands that are generic like Chansa L1, or even Tranya's M-10, T-3

the skullcandy logo is so iconic. it's really a shame to see them fall.where they are at now all they release is true wireless earbuds but they really should stick to what they are good at; headphones. the crusher evo is their last good headphone and even then, it's a 1 good product out of a bunch of okay products.

My original ear buds were so good I recommend them constantly. Bought another recently & it's terrible. The same quality as a dollar store pair. It even died the same, first one ear bud, then nothing. I was really disappointed.

Hey dope video! I made a skullcandy archive of most the skullcandy headphone products and it's clear that skullcandy is lacking innovation.
They are using old teck and still using usb type b for dime and don't want to buy dime for that reason and if they want to sell to youth we want type c charging and the dime design is good but old teck... Sad to say being skullcandy fan 🙏

This analysis is pretty poor, the major reason why skullcandy declined is because their products were crappy in both terms of reliability and sound quality

Apple released airpods in 2016/2017 not 2013, that would have been waaaay to early.
Just a minute...why would snowboarders need music while the are on the slopes? I always thought that snow sports were about being one with nature, without the distraction of the outside world...
I heard it adds to the "experience" but I agree it must be different than say racing in a Ferrari with the radio on. 😅

Recent update - Have received a lot of hate mail from Skullcandy fans. To say again, I used to be a fan of the skullcandy earbuds, but quality has come down. That is a fact - www.trustpilot.com/review/www.skullcandy.com

I have not bought 💀🍬🍫 in 8 year's or more and it's not the headphones 🎧 or earbuds anymore it's My ears I don't want to lost over time anymore especially when noise canceling are very popular in today's age image in 60 years from now all the 90"s and 80,70 generation will either lose their hearing and using hearing aid 🦻 ⛑️ if you think 🤔 about it from now And I don't know math but .. that's a LOT Of people generations using hearing aid and 💥🤯 booming BIG TIME of business making all kinds of hearing aid 🦻 not to mention that the people now who use Headphones/earbuds will over time will lose their natural born hearing now that I mentioned that I don't want use Headphones/ earbuds anymore I am not saying I am losing my hearing just point ☝️ out Facts

Popularity, high prices, and fashion does NOT mean quality...I bought a pair of Skull Candy earpods, thinking that they would have superior sound...far from it...they were not crisp, no real bass, and overall sounded like a pair that I could buy at WalMart...I later bought a pair of Samsung earbuds that were just a little higher in price...but they were a world of difference!!!! So I would say to not buy into the hype of "cool" branding, but to test each product to find the best...
Such logical advice never works in real life for everyone no matter how much sense it makes...
I'm using the crushers right now and they seem really good for me. Maybe I'm just a bass person but skullcandy isnt a bad at all
