tbh if both sides in the clone wars weren't palps puppets and the separatist had competent leadership it would have been a lot closer of a conflict if not a separatist win.
The Separatists would have shattered the Republic. Without Sidious, there would have been no Clone Army. He and Tyrannous purposefully wasted Separatist resources so that the Republic would not capitulate.
I think Battle Droids were the group of individuals that had the most tragic (somewhat) life in the clone war in general. Just stuck on the front lines with somewhat sentience being shot down, only being able to do as their generals say, before being shut down with a flick of a switch and melted.
