I used to hate U.S. History because not only did I find it boring due to bad teachers but because because I felt that I was being deprived of the truth in middle school as the class’s often taught propaganda stories like Christopher Columbus being a hero, how Hernan Cortez was sympathetic figure for weeding out the Aztecs, George Washington could never tell a lie, and how Steve F. Austin was justified for conquering Mexican territory. The only reason I knew this was wrong was because of my dad who was educated. So I developed some passive aggressive contempt for it and mostly dismissed the subject as I didn’t think I’d ever learn the full context until I made it College. It was there where I got a much broader understanding of U.S. History and a new appreciation for the subject matter. Honestly, this video pretty much affirms, most of what I learned and it’s wild. 😂 lol I just wish school system in my state (Texas) told me the truth of what really went down much earlier.

This video is primarily focused on the wrongdoings of the United States ( not that I’m anti-American, I’m literally from here) so things like 9/11 and the Civil War would not really fit. I would change the end part to have more modern countries and invasions like Iraq, Syria Afghanistan or Vietnam though.

Honestly, I've found more people agreeing with this video that are american then people who aren't.
I mean, if you have to hide behind the fellas partially responsible for mustache man, then that pretty much tells more about you than about the person you're hiding behind.
"Partially" because another important part of THAT time period was this thing called Manifest Destiny, and guess where that came from? Why, It's the place where national exceptionalism is still very strong even after nearly a century of history and plenty of reasons on why said country isn't nearly exceptional as It's citizens thinks It is.
Yankoids forgetting that Nazi ideology is directly descended from Manifest Destiny. America essentially succeeded in what Germany failed to do.

I live in luxury, with all the food I could ask for. Working hard to solve problems, compete, and make money helps everyone. You can offer people employment, pay for good school and healthcare, and help far more people along the way. Being poor is a burden on everyone around you. You consume more than you produce. Forrests re-grow, crops are harvested and re-planted. It's the circle of life. Making free market enterprise the bad guy is extremely naive and dangerous.

Not exactly, this kinda glosses over alot of shit the U.S did, and doesnt rlly go into detail, plus also kinda conveintly ignores the fact that american institutions like the bretton woods system, and multiple economic and political instutitions are the reasons why most people nowadays live a more stable life then their ancestors even like shit, 90 years ago which is practically unheard of in history.
