This Hunger Games: TBSS quote really struck home for me when I think of America and why we do all the crazy stuff we do. Now I know the whole world is an arena. And we need The Hunger Games every year. To remind us all who we truly are. Dr. Volumnia Gaul: And who are you, do you determine? Coriolanus Snow: The victor.
I was expecting things like - america giving weapons to the taliban to counter isis - supporting isrel despite war crimes worse than Russia - Nato dumping weapons in north Africa (the weapons ended up in terrorists' hands) - usa not providing enough military support to make Vietnam democratic while doing dumb stuff like spraying chemicals on forests to kill them (which still heavily pollute large areas of land today) and allying inhumane Cambodia to use their land as a military base in the war etc. etc. But that clip from the Lorax describes America a lot, not just the government but also companies & influencial figures

The Andrew Jackson bit was such a good reference to what he actually did
This makes me so mad… I hate climate change, global warming, and pollution, we need to do something about this!!! 😢
As an American, I can confirm, our history is messed up, but it's usually pretty watered down by the school system. So you need money to know the whole truth with outside sources.
**World War 1, World War 2, The Cold War, The American Revolution And The Bombing Of Hiroshima Have Left The Game**
You can't fit a comprehensive list in a 3 minute song. The people bitching about Hiroshima don't even know about Tokyo. Japan got off incredibly easy.
I wish my teacher would show this in geography class
2:52 “AND THE LAWYERS ARE DENYING” lol so funny
Nah bro just gave my the answers to my history essay
How I wish they would teach us U.S. history:
"Who care's if a few trees are dying"
Fallout 5 quote
Probably the most real video I’ve ever watched
The teachers need to play this in history!🤣
As an American, I can confirm on a daily basis we sing how be can I be and chop up other countries with weird logging machines
How bad can I be is weirdly fitting for America knowing all of the bad things America did
America donates over 640 million dollars to countries all over the world, let's in more immigrants more than any other countries around the world and stop one of the most evil men in world history who killed over 6 million jews at this point America's good majorly outweighs its bad.
US: We know we did terrible things in the past, and we’re really sorry.
World: That’s good. Are you gonna pay back to people you harmed in your rise to the top?
US: I said I was sorry, not financially responsible.
2:27 this guy looks like someone💀
ABRAHAM LINCOLN AHHH

I love this song becouse it fits every single todays superpower like USA, Russia and China

This Hunger Games: TBSS quote really struck home for me when I think of America and why we do all the crazy stuff we do.
Coriolanus Snow: I used to think that The Hunger Games were punishments for the districts. Then I thought they served as a warning to us here in the Capitol, about the threat the districts posed. Now I know the whole world is an arena. And we need The Hunger Games every year. To remind us all who we truly are.
Dr. Volumnia Gaul: And who are you, do you determine?
Coriolanus Snow: The victor.
I love how even though he used the correct Mexico flag for the cauldron scene he didn’t use the correct California flag.
3:02 all of these are the US’s friends
I was expecting things like
- america giving weapons to the taliban to counter isis
- supporting isrel despite war crimes worse than Russia
- Nato dumping weapons in north Africa (the weapons ended up in terrorists' hands)
- usa not providing enough military support to make Vietnam democratic while doing dumb stuff like spraying chemicals on forests to kill them (which still heavily pollute large areas of land today) and allying inhumane Cambodia to use their land as a military base in the war
etc. etc. But that clip from the Lorax describes America a lot, not just the government but also companies & influencial figures
can you make a part 2 where after that he becomes ashamed of it after ww1 and ww2
Maybe
2:18 yep basically built the modern world as we know it
Damn bro I wonder where they got all the land and wealth and labor to build all that stuff.
You should send this to everybody you know. Perfectly illustrates how friggin horrible we can be if no one helps. Actually, just tell them to watch the movie.
i need this version but with poland
Poland isn't rich...
Poland can't to space😢

I might make that ngl
America might have done some bad stuff but it’s pretty hard to top Britain lol

As Georgian, VERY accurate
As an Italian, I think this is how ppl should learn American History tbh :3
Ethiopia…….
You guys committed a lot of atrocities in Ethiopia and Libya, so never speak on this topic again.
@@genuscorvid Why does that fucking matter? Also no, oversimplified memes should not be used to teach history.
