  • In this video I am sharing some impression from a roadtrip through Sweden. This is the second video in a series of videos from our 5000km roadtrip to the northern part of Europe.
Here is the link to part 1 of our roadtrip in case you missed it: • Two days of photograph...
During our stay in Sweden we visited Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
All photos in this video were taken with my Leica M-D and my Mamiya RZ67 on Fuji Pro400h color negative film.

Nice photography, I can see the sharpness of the APO Summicron 50 clearly! Thanks Markus 👍🏻

Thanks for watching. The APO didn’t disappoint (again).

Totally know that fatigue feeling. Sometimes it even kicks in in the course of a day. Starting our strong and then declining and not even touching the camera in the afternoon. 🤷‍♂️ what helped me on our last trip was just taking the M6 and thinking of photography as some kind of add on. So I only shot like two rolls over ten days. 😁

Now that you mention it, I never experienced this kind of tiredness when shooting analog. 🤔 I like your suggestion to think of photography as some kind of add on if the fatigue kicks in.

@@TheMPhotography I think for me it’s mostly about limiting myself. Also just taking the GR3 had a similar effect. Maybe it’s like this for you as well. If I remember from the video you had a digital Leica, the analog Mamiya, the drone, action cam and iphone. That’s a lot of stuff to choose from and to operate on a trip. Even without additional lenses. 😉

Yes. Indeed. I has the drone, GoPro, iPhone, Mamiya RZ67, and the digital Leica. The more equipment and especially the digital one practically without limits is tempting. You want to capture everything. Can be tiring. Glad I left all my other Leica M lenses at home 😎

Nice trip and nice video. Thank you! Going from Stockholm to Göteborg, I believe that you travel westwards. And end up at Swedens beautiful west cost.
If you should decide to make another visit to Sweden, I recommend Uppsala, Swedens religious hub. Scandinavia’s oldest university. And where Linnaeus lectured. Falun will tell you a lot about Swedens historical background in mining and business. It is also where Linnaeus faced the demands of his future father in law.
If you should decide to go even further north, the High Coast are Is magnificent. Beautiful villages along the coast and the actual land-rise, visitors center and via ferrata along the E4. Kiruna is special, and the E10 from Kiruna to Norway is spectacular, I believe. A fantastic landscape during all seasons. Incidentally this landscape is superbly documented by the late Swedish aerial photographer Sten Hörnell.
And then you will find yourself I my home country Norway. Where you can go southwards, westwards, or further north.
    Thanks again!

Thanks for watching and your travel tips for a future visit to Sweden. Norway is also on my bucket list of places to visit. Very much looking forward.
