Burrower's shell is so fucking underrated. Blows my mind that literally everyone wouldn't want one for pvp. I was lucky to get one in P5 and I don't think too many even knew what it was.
Answer is because 1 has to do a LONG grinding fight over time... and the other MIGHT have to do the same via jousting... over a LONG period of time. Ret is looking for good RNG on their first auto attack to go ALL IN on... Math says that is 1 in 7 or about a 15% chance. So you are dick out and taking in the face quite a bit in both cases. As such you ware the best sustain suit money can buy. Control Ret also NEEDS 3 Piece Marshals. So its that or the TOP one.
How does Thick Obsidian Breastplate work with regards to the proc? I've tried to find footage of it in action (which I can't), and outside of that, I've read mixed feedback with some claiming it does not absorb damage on the initial hit, it only creates the absorb AFTER the damage. It would be nice to get this cleared up.
It does what it says on the tin. You get hit with a non-AoE spell = 30% chance it grants you a shield. NO proc on being hit shield in the game (uthers str trinket for example) effects the damage that proced it. So you get hit... take the damage... game registers the hit and damage then rolls a D100 to see if you get a shield. I have a "Proper Paladin Play" video in era where I am spending WAY to much time talking about Drakova 1v2ing two Elemental shamans. You can see the Mechanics in action in that video for sure.
it absorbs the hit that procs it. But it also has a small ICD now per proc than during classic when it was an ICD per each magic type (you used to get all procs at once).
Between Lasting Judgements and one-handed weapon specialisation, you seem to prefer the former. From a pure PVP perspective, would you still prefer lasting judgements? If so can you please share your opinions on that?
Its a season to taste thing. Some fights it can be hard to keep JoCru on the target but with lasting judgements you at least have something. Iether one is 100% viable.
@@pallytime2156 Thank you for your reply. I do think maintaining Judgement on the target is important. One-hand WS doesn’t affect consecration, does it?
@@pallytime2156 I have one more question. How much do you value Improved Concentration Aura for reckoning builds? I believe you mentioned that you're confident in a duel with Shamans so that you don't spend points on it. I'd also like to hear your opinions on Shield Specialisation.
Shield spec is good but the talents arn't there to really get it. I don't take Imp Con Aura because of my gearing. I am doing a 5100hp, Thick Obsidian, T2 rank 3 gear mix with 200 Fire Resist. Its the resists making me want to use fire Aura over Imp Con. If I was using Hybrid Gear or Avengers or T3... gear with no FR on it base... I would use Imp Con Aura 100% of the time in all fights.@@Silaguk
Very rarely but I have it in bags. Mostly I use it when Heal Locked vs Casters, Ele Shaman specifically. If you have 3/3 Inp Con aura and that shield it gets silly.
Hey, for your holy rek build do you still use the fire ress encahnts on leggs and helm and the cromatic on shoulders or do you swap anything out when playing in Phase 6?
In Era you get the Stam Chant to shoulders and some gear such as rings might get updated. But generally you want to keep the FR rather high. I made a vid recently about how to be unkillable to a mage. In there you can see why FR being HIGH is the way to go. Not once do I mention Fire Mages which are the norm in Phase 6 not frost... for example.

Rank 10 gear works for everything honestly. Dragons Blood cape, Don Julios, Onny Neck, Dark Iron Ring and I think your 4600+ HP with 200+ Spell Power and decent crit. There isn't any better gear at that early phase so even Deep Holy uses that set if they want to do damage. There is just NO WAY to get more spell power than it until Tier 2 or Rank 13 (same difference). Point is... there isn't any better gear at that stage sooo... all specs?
How the hell did you come up with those HP breakpoints? What's the scenario? Gear class spec sequence of attacks, your own armor and resists and thick obsidian armor or not. Not to mention, which CDs were used and if the class can reset or not and try again. Such odd strangely specific breakpoints. I can't see how you have any real foundation for this but I'm sure you cooked up some odd hypothetical.
I’m glad you finally made this for us. Thanks dude!

agree
it goes for so much in the gdkps too. Last one was 30k :(.
Great video! Question: why shockdin and ret rec use same set? The one at bottom.
Context is about 6:18

@pallytime215 i dont see any bis list using full t2, is it worth using its my favorite set in the game
Nope. HP to Low

Most of these breakpoints are based around the highest amount of burst dps classes have in the phase.
