Hardcore or Era? I have a list of mobs to to level on and where, undead and demons from level 20 to 50. I like to grind on them with Exorcism in between dungeons.

It really depends on level and play style. At certain levels with goblin mortar... gnomish net... swift pots... and nades... or discombobulators you get from doing the punch card quest in Gnomer... Only with at least 2 of these options can you really PvP. Deep Ret gets better with Repent but is still kinda balls cause you do low damage. Reckoning is the 1 major exception sense you can charge a bomb and touch people and they die. All that being said... get your "Catch a Fool" items + sit on them with DPS = They die as a general rule. Any build with a bit of MANA can make that work in leveling open world PvP. So at least 30% of your gear should be Stam/Int gear. Because part of sitting on people tell they die is you needing to HEAL yourself with 2 HoL's... then catch them again 1-2 times so your base mana bar won't cut it. Point is that the ITEMS > Talents BIG TIME

@@pallytime2156 okay make sense. Would you recommend holy/reck , ret/reck or deep ret then as fresh lvl 60 in blue rank 10 PvP gear and at best a mc or AV exalted 2h or 1h/shield with engi stuff. If your goal is just to roam the world and do solo world PvP and from time to time do random bgs for fun.

@@jarlfisk In Era? Get T1 as soon as possible. They sell in raids for like 20g a piece assuming they still do GDKP runs in era. Rank 10 is well rounded and VERY good but you have minimum HP requirements for PvP. T1 can get you up to 5000-5100hp WITH a good amount of Fire Resist. You want 140-160 Fire Resist if possible... Your HP Break Point on Era is 5400-5600... with Fire Resist its 5100 Rank 10 = Deep Ret T1 with FR = Reckoning Go look up a video called "Paladin Gearing in 2023" Or something like that.

Yes. 11/X/0 is usually the best build. 11 Points in Holy to get Heal in Combat and Consecration... then you into prot for +3% Hit... Redout and all the other good things in there. 2 Hander is when you are 1v1 in open world. Shield is usually when its 1v2 or 1v3 or worse. +25% armor on devo aura is HORRIBLE so most 2 hander Paladins take Redout even on on-hardcore servers. Basically sometimes your are FORCED to fight 1v3 for your life... its inevitable. Shield + Fast 1 Hander and JoL + SoL = no real way to for you do die. Redout is saves lives basically. JoL and SoL with Knightly Longsword will EASILY heal you for more then 1 mob can do in damage. Redout = Meh vs 1 Mob... but vs 3 Mobs it negates about 1 mob worth of damage. You combine the two and you can turn a 1v3 into a 1v1. Try it out and you will see what I mean.

LoH, Grenade / Mortar, Speed Potion and you're gone. You can see those bad times a mile away... Nade will only give you 1s of stun on Mobs... same with Mortar I think if you hitting that many... but you just need to not get dazed while you run. Worse Case = Bubble + Speed Potion... Cancel bubble then Hearth. If you bubble + Cancel mobs will kill EVERYONE else before they come after you... so you can easily hearth. The other steps are just to buy other TIME to get distance... giving you the 10s you need to hearth. If they all die... is fine.

Your Blazing Enchant from badlands quest is likely BiS for AoE farming. Otherwise Life Steal isn't bad. Spell Power is GOOD but expensive as hell and really doesn't do much for you

The weapon procs so rarely unless they changed in SoD and SoD is effecting ERA... blah blah blah... its not wort it. Crusader will NOT increase the procs damage... proc weapons do X damage... sometimes reduced by armor... and MAY have spell Power Ratio Behind them Halberd proc was reduced by armor if I recall. SoR will x2 the Proc but nothing else will... so no Life Steal. Spaming an attack like Wing Clip or Hamstring = Good to fish for procs. Jekliks Hammer is WAYYYYY better then just about any other "Proc Fishing" weapon for this though. It has a 20% Chance to Proc and its Procs can Proc... which is AWESOME. So try that also / instead... math says its WAY better.

What I find great about the pacing and difficulty is that killing mobs is HARD... but not super hard. Its a little brainless and slow... but gives you PLENTY of time to think "how can I do this better? How can I be more efficient?" And when you find those little increases it FEELS great. I remember being level 44... following some ret guide (barf) taking 40s+ to kill a mob. 6 years later I have sub 25s Kill Times... and I can FEEL it and its great. On right... 25s kill times and ZERO down time. Hell yeah.

Classic WoW is and was the peak of (mmo) gaming.

I suggest Stam/Spirt or Stam/Int/spirt gear at ratio... like 60/40. I have vids on it you can check out. TLDR here is that the ONLY source of Spell power you will have... or care about... is Judgement of Crusader. You pair that with SoR and Consecration with a fast 1 hander... or 2 hander... So you Run up... Judge Crusader + Seal SoR >> Consecration Rank 1 >> Rank 1 Con again 9s later >> Judge SoR + Reseal and then Chill tell mob is dead. Spell Power only really helps SoR damage... consecration damage scales VERY poorly off of Spell Power... Hense the Rank 1 usage. Rank 1 Consecration is like 8 DPS... with +80 Spell Power its 12 damage a tick (yay)

Nope. Speed is King. Iron Foe's proc rate is rather low... like less then 5%. I don't actually KNOW the proc rate of IF... but it wasn't blowing anyone's dick off soo... MANY 1 Handers are better for Reck-Bombs... IF is possibly 1 of them... so is Deathbringer for example. Generally speaking we BOMB with a slow 1 hander or 2 hander then swap into the best DPS wep we have... often that is a flurry axe. Some builds = staying Hand or Rag or 2 Hander in general. Kalmindor's Revenge at 3.2 is also good.

@@pallytime2156 I see, do you ever pair the flurry ax with items such as fiery plate gauntlets? If recall correctly the extra fire damage can proc wisdom as well

@@arickitchens3463 Tested a few of things things. Its usually not worth it or didn't work like people though.

Look up Fastest Warrior Leveling videos or guides. I think they are doing Stam/Spirt gear these Days. The TLDR behind it is that Melee Classes like Paladin and Warrior do 80% of there Damage, butt naked with a 2 Handed Weapon... 70% with a 1 hander and shield That Stam/Str Gear gives you a +25% Damage bonus. The Stam/Spirt gear Reduces your Down Time for HP recovery between fights by something stupid like 70-80% Hence why its better for leveling.

BTW, I just dinged 60 without any group content... all solo hardcore in everlook private realm.

Consecration = Stam Spirt Gear vs Mobs that you can't Exorcism. Aka = Run up... Judge Crusader... Seal Rank 3 SoR with a fast 1 Hander or Rank X with Fast 2 Hander. x2 Consecration... often Rank 1 cons... +1 SoR Judge and then Spirt Regen tell dead. VS undead or demons farming (I have a list placed to go all the way to 60) Consecration = not needed... just judge SoR Damage and Exorcism. All Ranks of SoR have same SP ratio now on ERA servers... Blizzard Changed it for SoD and it bleed over to ERA. Frost Oil = Cheaper and Better then Shadow Oil. But its VERY complicated. Shadow Oil is better for leveling... better with slow 2 handers... It has a 10s ICD... so only 1 proc possibly every 10s... 60% Spell Power Ratio though. Unknown if it x2 Procs with SoR (Likely does... but still only 1 proc per 10s). 120 Base Damage Frost Oil = 28% Spell Power Ratio. 30 base Damage... x2 procs with SoR and has no Internal CD. So put that on a fast 1 hander with any SP gear and its great.

​@pallytime2156 well i was wondering if you were aware of a bunch of SoD stuff affecting era mostly. In era you now can twist seals and judge both effects at the same time like in sod, and hammer of justice, for instance, seems to be resisting faaaaar more than it should, like its suffering from both normal stun resistance and spell resist at the same time. Damage judgements are also scaling off of spell hit instead of melee hit like theyre supposedbto. Hammer of wrath can both miss AND resist. SoR seems to be normalized now, as in rank 3 is doing ess than max rank regardless of spell power, and isnt scaling like how it used to, seemingly. Theres probably a bunch of other shit SoD screwed over in era but i cant think of anything else rn

Also im wondering what enchant to put on malistars defender. Got mine recently. And is lifestealing still the best holy/reck ench across the board? Thanks.

@@kingbata3956 Ummm.. Yes Life Steal is still just great. I put +7stam on Malistars for PvP... PvE is skullflame with Shield Spike You can Spike your Malistars if you like... Imovable Object from AV Grind with +7stam is BiS if you need a stam off hand for some reason... usually to help survive Shaman or Mage Burst.

​@@kingbata3956 Yeah some changes in SoD have Effected Era... most notably SoR Ranks are all same ratio now. HoJ = Uses Melee Hit (or is suppose to) Hammer of Wrath = Uses Melee hit (or is suppose to) That's why it x2 crit damage and not 1.5 like a spell. Judgement = Uses Melee Hit (or is suppose to) it all = "Meh" to me honestly.

Not unless they buff stuff in Classic. Paladins Tank using Armor and nothing else. Sounds odd? Do you think those duel Wielding Fury warriors that are the #1 Best tanks in Classic have any Defense, Avoidance, Block, or Crit Immunity? Thy got 66% Armor, 10k HP... and just get spam healed. TLDR on Classic Tanking = Can you Survive 2 Back to back Cirts? Yes? Then you can line anything. Gets even sillier when you realize you are going to get healed for 2k before the boss can hit you again.

Yes and No Human is good for PvE and Dwarf is good for PvP. The issue is that MANY of your best weapons, cheep and easy to get while leveling are polearms and axes off the AH... Why? Because they are FAST and no one wants Axes or Polearms... EXPECIALLY fast ones Alliance side. Flurry Axe = An Axe... best single target damaging axe in the game for Paladin... level 42 BoE Epic. Stuff like that.

Well they coming out with HC fresh Classic Servers... and now that its Microsoft and not "Actively dont' care about you" aka Activition... the servers are MUCH better. The whole time I was playing SoD I was waiting for a DC where if it was HC I would die... Never happened. So I am down to get that 60 on HC. Can't be "They guy who makes HC guides but dies"

You can't compare popularity like that. Release SoD fresh and Era fresh side by side. Era would be more popular.

Everything has a time. Sod was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I will always hold true classic in my heart but after having done it 25 times I’m ready to put that to bed for a good many years

@@VegetoStevieD a downgrade implies it’s trying to be the same. People seem to lose sight of the fact it’s a seasonal experiment… it’s not a replacement for classic. But for a lot of people it replaces the time they’d spend playing classic vanilla. People just need to relax and if they like era keep playing it… sod is in a different swim lane. I’m burnt out on pure vanilla because I did it for 10+ years over and over.
