Love the video! I enjoy learning from you and these kind of videos help bring everything home to what you are showing. Have you talked about using greater blessing of kings to hold aggro in raids? Our off tank is going that route and I’m trying to find any videos on what to do for that style of tanking. Thanks!
Just hit 28 using a mixture of stam/int/spirit. I’ve been using twisted blade since 21. I haven’t seen a decent upgrade that has a good speed yet. Should I just wait it out till 33 for knightly?
The warrior felt like your off tank, or you felt like his. I understand the process isn't perfect but I would like an example of how you would handle things if its just you and a bunch of squishy classes that cant handle the hits.
That doesn't really happen while leveling in Classes until you are in level 60 dungeons give or take. Most early mobs do rather sad amounts of damage. But lets assume this is the case. The first thing that happens is that the DPS learn to give the paladin a few more seconds before going Ham. This doesn't take very long. You can Blessing of Salv them as well for -33% Threat. Level 33 you get +60 more threat from your holy spells Level 38 you get seal of Wisdom. Moral of the story is that if X class NEEDS the tank to HOLD agro... and that tank is a Paladin = They best learn to wait 5-8s before attacking. You can also MARK targets Skull and X. Whatever target you are auto attacking will have NOTICABLY better threat on it. Most experianced players just attack the target you have judged wisdom on... so this isn't needed. Usually what happens is that you are moving at such a fast pace with Seal of wisdom + mana Regen that people spend 10s drinking while you have already pulled... giving plenty of time for agro to build up. You are Go Go Go with the healer... while the DPS are drinking to catch up.... gives plenty of time for agro... works great.
I think spirit also affects mana gained from drinking? At least it will be quicker because there is less mana to replenish with spirit gear, so it might still be a time saver.
@@bebaiz Yeah i think the point is to frontload threat and then 5 second rule mana back before the fight ends, more or less. This is highly dependent on group composition though, in a caster heavy group you might as well go int and drink with the mages. I tried spirit tanking a couple of times in sm in prev HC and it worked fairly well when going at HC pase, meaning slow af.
you are missing some crucial addons, my friend :) also some important WA to remind you stuff. that said, your vids made me level a pala tank, for the first time in 20 years, park it and w8 for TBC :)
@@sheeeeeeeesh9162 Oh... lol... yeah we get that in duskwood on alliance as well. TLDR there is stay out of STV if the ganking is heavy. Do dungeons or grinds mobs out of the way to get past those levels. Its only STV, Silverpine, and Duskwood that are the issue zones for that. Bottleneck zones basically... get past them ganking from high levels goes WAYYYYYY down.
@@pallytime2156 Funny I was just going to ask the same question. I think world pvp while lvling is some of the best kind. People aren't twinked out, the balance shifts due to keystone passives/spells being obtained. Im 53 deep ret, and wondering how going prot up to reckoning then going ret up to eye for an eye would work out
you did well. good group. chad was the only issue (probably in leather/AP gear, judging from the damage he was taking). i'm nearly always the healer, and low lvl pugs like this always give me PTSD.

I just healed a stockades group of three mages and a paladin. It went well, the mobs melted under all of the aoe.

Depends if HC or not. Generally level 24-33 I buy a cheep 2 hander off the AH.
Single target grinding = use a 2 hander... unless Hardcore naturally.
OK, I’ll give it a shot. I’m just on normal pvp anniversary server. Thanks for the reply!

@@pallytime2156 Alright, I will prepare for the worst and use what I've learned here to tank. Thanks for the in-depth answer.
@@Hironidin jugsoflight has some tanking videos if you want another perspective to look at of stam/spirit
Seems like int have more pros over spirit, isn't it? I mean 5s rule is working against you and you alsodrink after every pull

@@prm66 You'll need a whole lot of spirit to overtake the mana you get from int. As long as u can get proper lvl water int should be prio, afaik.

Do you already have a pvp leveling guide for paladins?
The hell is a pvp leveling guide? Like "I want to PvP while leveling?"
