First watched your vid last year on HC release and managed to hit 60 (on my 2nd go…I’ve always main’d Rogue, lol). Pleasantly surprised to see an updated video from you - thanks so much!
your vids have alot of good info, i just wish it was condensed into a shorter vid. i appreciate all the work you put in, it just gets a little confusing at times sifting thru your vid trying to find answers to my questions
I am currently playing Classic rolling a tank/dps hybrid with focus into holy/ret trees using 3.20 speed Verigans Fist 2 hand, using JudgeCrusader reseal SoComm "rotation" and focussing mostly single target for levelling. Stats are primarily strength / stam. I seem to be managing my mana pool well with R1 BoW so far. I am around lvl 30 and my DPS seems really silly, usually topping dps in dungs. I can comfortably tank about 2-3 mob groups of up to 3 elite enemies in dungs without going OOM (assuming it doesn't get too hairy). Question is, does this style significantly fall short over your recommended one hand builds in later levels (given i do not play within the elite space, and I am a casual at best)?
1. Are you having fun? Yes? Keep doing that then. 2. Mobs power spike level 31-40 and then again 41-60... so you will feel VERY differently about your choises around these points in the game. I can't give you good advice here... because part of why many paladins LOVE stam/spirt is because we have tried str/stam before and know how bad that is come level 44ish So I say keep doing Str/Stam tell level 40. But come level 40 you going to want to decide stam/spirt... int... or str. You won't like str... = my advice.
I'm leveling in fresh HC right now and came to see how other people level. Honestly this is a lot of extra work i think. I am easily 1v3ing mobs of my same level as just full ret (well technically 0/8/x) 1-20 was tough but 20-40 has been a breeze with the Verigan's fist and just 2-5 shoting mobs of the same level, with lots of seal twisting ofc. I guess my point is I think i'm missing something, why even level as holy/prot, it doesn't seem faster and maybe just a tad bit safer?
Rets fine as long as you ware Stam/Spirt gear. It gets a bit rough past level 40 though because the mobs start scaling rather quickly in power. Other classes get Mortal Strike and Shadow Form... Power-ups on par with your Seal of Command (+1 attack on a 9s CD). Paladin gets AoE Farming at level 41. Deep Ret gets Repent. Blizzard scales the mobs level 41+ has if you had a power spike. Which all other classes get except for Deep Ret. Holy/Prot has similar leveling speeds to Ret... its about 10% Slower... but you are mathmatically 4 times harder to kill. And no I didn't pull that number out of no where I made a video on it a while back. Holy Prot also has INSANE DC protection level 41+ sense it takes mobs 1m+ to kill you. Sheild, Plate, Blessing of Sanc, Block, Redout... good stuff.
@@pallytime2156 I havent leveled pally since 2019, but I remember at 45 going reckoning and SoC and that was really good, between reckoning and increased parry, you had a lot of chances to attack an additional time. BUT i think you could still stack some reckoning by sit/standing back then, So I assume it's probably not as good now?
For other fast weapons you can go for Crescent of Forlorn Spirits from the Stalvan quest line and the Hacking Cleaver which has Eagle, Whale and even Healing Power versions. Lvl 28, 1.90 speed.
The none-stam based gear is perfectly fine for none HC servers. On non-HC servers 50/50 is about as far as you want to take it. So like 50% Stam/INT and Spirt/Int gear. If you are AoE farming about 1/3 of your gearing Int/Spirt Gear is mathmatically correct. For Single Target Boar gear is good... Str/Spirt.
I love this and I'm definitely going to try swapping my lvl 20 hc ret pal with str/stam gear and a 2h over to a 1h stam/spirit spec. I would have expected the gap in single target kill times to be bigger but I'm sold. If you can stand your ground and fight 3-4 mobs, there aren't too many spots in the game I can think of where you're going to get more aggro than that if you don't panic and run around pulling even more.
You can use Stam/Spirt with a 2 hand wep as long as the wep is decently fast...just make sure to have shield and 1 hander in you back pocket for when things look ugly. Speed pots too... never forget those
you are a fucking legend my guy!!!!! i posted a comment maybe a week ago? u respond so fast, so thorough, thanks alot! with this i start my HC SSF adventure! kiss
Whale has another hidden advantage, it's way cheaper than eagle or bear. People considers whale to be trash, only worth for enchanter to get dust, that's why you can get really cheap piece in the AH.
Not really in classic No... 6 Deamon still has 100% spell Power ratio but your Spell Power will be so low for so long that it will hit for 400 damage at best. Shock Eye is fight 31/3/17 A holy shock build with Command to twist and Eye for and Eye. In Classic if you arn't Reckoning or Deep Ret its questionable what you are doing. Goblin Mortar and Gnomish Net are your best trinkets usually.
been casually leveling a hardcore paladin (@27) while waiting for their assumed fresh servers, never really done much with classic paladin, i like this playstyle its very chill and will continue with the path of light
Hey Pallytime, I leveled a stam/int/spirit paladin in HC as tank tanking all the way to brd, back now from a hiatus, i heard something about blizzard normalizing SoR(R3) sometying about them changing it in SoD and the update spilling over or something, is that something you've noticed?
Yeah that is correct. ALL ranks of SoR now have same SP ratio as Rank 3. It doesn't change much sense you don't have any spell power gear while leveling but it is a small damage increase at the cost of more mana. Which for us and our excess mana Regen... is good.
Exactly the resource I was looking for, thank you! While I'm here, me and a friend are looking to possibly do a duo hardcore playthrough. We have a bit of experience, but no classic vanilla. I'm looking to run as a pocket healer, and I'm torn 50/50 between Priest and Pally. Both seem fun for different reasons. I always thought shadow priest seemed cool and it seems like you can run shadow and still heal very well throughout leveling. While on the other hand, I like the safety of Pally with it's higher armor, and better protection/single target healing for my duo. Consecration also seems like it might be good with my duo who will be running either Warrior or Pally (I feel like Retaliation + Consecration or Consecration x2 paired with Pally's protection and single target heals could possibly open up AoE farming for us later, while Priest might not allow that, but might be better in things like Elite quests) Any suggestions?
That's a hard one. Priest also wares Stam/Spirt gear and is INSANELY tanky and hard to kill as long as they have mana. Paladin on the other hand eventually catches and surpasses Preist tankieness... FREEDOM is huge for survival for paladin as well. Paladin can duo with anything. Look up "'Kargoz: Dual Leveling... if his vids are still around. Calamity has a video on leashing mechanics you REALLY need to watch... because running mechanics are different for groups... they will chase YOU X seconds... then you boy X seconds... then the next guy... and the next before F'ing off. Paladin is better at holding agro and she can both heal and tank same time. Either pick is good though. Jugsoflight has a RFD tanking vid where he is pure stam spirt if you want to see how CHAD it is to be a paladin with stam spirt. About all I got. Preist + X = Top Tier Dual leveler Paladin + X = Top Tier Dual leveler Nothing else comes close.
@@pallytime2156 Hey, i'm new on ur channel and still didnt seen video about talent point for prot tree, just wanted to ask u about it. If i'm planning to take "Blessing of Sanctuary", is it worth spending points on "Devotion aura" for +25% armor (bcs mostly on stam/spi/int build u use that aura) or its better to take "Toughness"/"Rightneous Fury". Maybe scaling from "Toughness" better for late game plate armor and shield, like 2% for each point (10% in total) is better?
@@DrawChillNya I can make a video... but its Redout 5/5... Imp Devo aura is HILARIOUSLY BAD. Even if you are 2 hander leveling there are times when you want a shield suddenly not to die or to tank a dungeon... and redout is SUPER good when fighting multiple mobs. After that its 3/3 Percision and 2/2 Guardian for faster BoP's and Freedoms... its the FREEDOM that is HUGE for HC. It makes your Freedoms last 16s with a 4s CD. Mobs will chase you for 10s low level and 16s at level 50+ After that I put 4-5 Points in Toughness... IMP HoJ Stun for casters... and then you have Sactuary. You should do all this AFTER putting 11 points in Holly though. Build is 11/X/0 for a damn good reason. Consecration is a nice front load damage source... but REALLY what you are after in the Holy Tree is 70% pushback on your heals. Its bigger then just about anything.
@@pallytime2156 Thanks for complete answer, i was pretty sure that redoubt, precision, guardian fav and shield spec are must have, but just wondered in clear comparison between imp devo aura and toughness, mb its worth to take both, like 2/5 devo and 5/5 toughness instead of imp HoJ
@@DrawChillNya IMP HoJ should be taken for anti Spell Casters. Shield Spec is "Good" like "REALLY GOOD"... but the block damage Reduction is AFTER Armor... so its like 100 damage hit... minus 50% armor = 50 damage... Block = Ruduces 50 buy 20 or so... So Toughness is there for you when you FAIL to block and is there for you when you DO block... soooo... yeah. Get both if you can but I think you can only put 2 points in it at best.
Depends on a number of factors. Namely how fast or slow are the mobs you are fighting attacking. Faster = Ret Aura... Slower = Armor. VS Elites you want armor aura because its more of an endurance fight. Anytime its an endurance fight you want the armor. One of the advantages of Stam/Spirt is that you have the mana to go Ret Aura.
Mr Pallytime, do you have any advice in regards to playing Paladin in a Duo/Trio setting, ideal scenario a trio leveling group with Warrior and Mage, how would you tweak the build in that situation?
No tweeking needed... Stam Sprit still BiS. You still get Knightly Longsword at level 33. You are just an auto-attacking mana batterry / tank with consecration
Would you say that paladins are totally relegated to healing in classic? Id like to tank, but not sure if i can make it work in raids. I heal in retail, but having to mix and march +healing gear to make my character look insane kinda turns me off
Paladins heal in raids 100%. They can't really tank in Classic. They are the best Dungeon Tanks though by FAR. Your +healing gear for raid comes from dungeons... and doesn't upgrade tell AQ. We just put that on, heal, take it off... and go back to what we doing.
Hey Pallytime, love your videos. I've been leveling a Pally via questing and I'm at 32 right now. I was wondering what your approach would be if you were going to level solely by questing and you weren't on a HC server, just Era. I do want to make another Pally at some point to try out the AoE grind, but on this first one, I'm just questing through totally solo for the immersion. You've said before that if you were just questing, you would use a 2H, but would you still go for the stam/int/spirit gear even with no plans to eventually AoE? And if so, would you use a slow 2H with SoC, or a fast one (Pummeler?) with SoR? Would this change once you start to get some spell power? Thanks.
I don't think there is enough XP to level purely through questing... but good luck. I would still you Stam/Spirt/Int Gear... 70/30. It synergizes well with all weapon types, though faster is better. I would do this for 3 reasons. 1. +100% Spirt Regen > +130% mana > +25% Damage. 2. Weapons are CHEEPER and EASIER to get off AH as the weps you want, especially 2 handers, are FAST and CHEEP. Super big help if no dungeon farming. 3. Some quests are endurance fights and a Paladin built for just such an occasion won't lock you out of quests. Where as if you were +25% Damage, then many an Escort Quest is likely a bridge to far to solo. Many quests are also 1v3 or worse fights... and the endurance build is BiS there as well.
@@pallytime2156 So if you were mostly just fighting mobs one at a time, would you still use Consecration in your rotation, then? Would judging Crusader first boost the damage of it enough for it to be worth the mana on just one target? Like Judge Cru > SoR > Cons > wait for spirit ticks?
@@roboturner You still use Consecration... rank 1 with JoCru or Max Rank with SoR. Example 1: Fast Wep = Judge Crusader + Seal SoR >> Consecration Rank 1... 8sec Judge SoR + Seal SoR >> Judge Con 1... then spirt Regen. Example 2: Slow Wep = Judge SoR + Seal SoR >> Max Rank Con... 8s Later Judge SoR + Seal SoR >> Max Con... then spirt Regen. You just have to see which rotation is better for what weapon combo you are using. If you DO NOT consecration then you mana will always be 100%... if you Judge on CD you get 2 spirt ticks every 10s at best... for a 20% spirt up-tick time. Where as these rotations give about a 50% spirt uptick time. Consecration is litterally just there because we want 5/5 spiritual focus... and if we didn't have Con then we couldn't convert spirt into Damage very well.
Pure Stam/Int is BiS for PvP while leveling but Spirt with some Int is also really good. Just alter your play so your mana and HP are kept REALLY HIGH and Horde never want to gank you.
2 Hand Paladin is best PvPer while leveling in the game if you go 5/5 reckoning at level 35 and have Goblin Mortar, Nades, and Gnomish Netomatic. 2 Hand Shaman is a faster leveler and also very good in PvP. Paladin leveling goes super sayan in duo levelign comps
Get a Knightly at level 33... its BiS for a fair few levels... falls off around level 40... but picks back up again for AoE farming BiS at level 41. 2 Handers are also fine. Just whatever is cheep. Go kill the demons outside the Flight path in desolace... then later the UD south of there.
@@TheFlyingPiggeh The only thing that will replace your Knightly is Flurry yes. But you can get Flurry later at level 60. Judge Crusader... use SoR... fast 1 hander. You can get a 2 hander around level 36 if you want... especially if not hardcore. My plan on hardcore is to just live with Knightly for a long time even though I know it has some painful levels... level 41 = kill 2-3 mobs at a time with AoE... which means Knightly or Flurry Axe.
@@pallytime2156 I tank most of the dungeons I run like this and it has been very smooth, rank 1 consecration, fastest 1 hander i can find, never had any agro problems really. It is very fun to play paladin like this! But I was wondering, about the 2 hander.. When I dps in dungeons, should I still use 1h + shield or is it better to just find a fast 2 hander? Lvl 33 now and still using Verigans Fist.
Hey love this. New-ish to pally and to Alliance really lol....but I've seen the light...thought I jump in the deep end with HC ssf paladin. Only lvl17 atm but having fun. Trying sword n board but could u give plz some insight on the juicy mace u get in the 20s. Stats are nuts and hits hard but since I'm ssf I can't really guarantee a decent shield so wondering if rocking this the go. And if I do use this should I wait till later before putting points in redoubt. Keep up the good work x
Do you just keep the Knightly longsword all the way to 60? I'm currently in the 40's on the fresh servers and I feel like my damage is falling off dramatically
If not hardcore then you use a fast 2 hander... or a slow one... just whatever is cheep off the AH or from a dungeon. Its really your stam spirit that is doing it.
Look into Turtle Scale gear from Leatherworking, it has stam, int and spirit. can start being crafted at lvl 36. also they updated the scaling of rank 8 SoR to be 20%, pretty insane
Test it if you like but if I say... divide 80 by 100... to figure out... say... in Stam/spirt I do 80 DPS and in Str/stam I do 100 DPS... I get .8 What this is TELLING Me is that it is a 20% Damage Reduction... but what its NOT telling me is that it is a 25% Damage increase... Getting one number is easy getting the other is hard. Recently I doing video on Battle brothers and I using these weps that do 70% damage to armor but can Legendary up to 100%... Going from 70% to 90% is a 29% Increase in Damage... going 90-100% is 11%... and 100-110 is 10% Point is 90% + damage is fairly liner in scaling. But anything below that starts dropping rapidly. 80 to 90 would be +12.5% Damage. Or Faster Leveling speed if down time wasn't a thing... you get the idea. Yeah so... getting % Reduction is easy... getting the % Increase is hard... or maybe there is a formula I don't know
Hey! Been watching your videos ( too late of course so I spent lots of gold jumping between specs not really getting the hang of paladin. So I went 11/X/12 to get PoJ,but that of course means I won’t get BoS until level 53 or something. I’m running a mix of whale and eagle gear. Currently lvl 48 I’ve also watched your holy reck video and was wondering if that is actually a viable leveling spec? Kinda fed up with the respec fees and when I hit 60 I would like to do a mix of PvP and dungeons, at this point I would like to make some sort of final choice that also works when I hit 60.
27/26/0 Holy Reck is a spec you will never have to re-spec out of in Classic wow. The Reason for this is that you are about 97% as effective a healer as a 31/X/0 Holy Paladin and you bring Blessing of Sactuary to any raid you are in. Not that that will ever matter because Raids need 4 Paladins and are often just happy to have any Decently played warm body paladin that can keep the tanks alive. You can HEAL and TANK in 27/26/0 There are 2-3 floating talent points you can put where you like... 3/5 1 hand wep mastery... or 3/3 lasting judgement. I always do 3/3 Lasting judgement for PvP And in PvE judging a 40s JoL on say, Firemaw and Geddon Makes the raid love you. You Healing will be LOW cause you are doing JoL / JoW... but no one will care.
Hardcore I prefer 1 hander. Otherwise its 2 Hander early levels. I think its the Defias Rapier that causes me to go 1 hand SoR. Mostly I just work with whats cheep on AH early levels. Its level 20 things get serious... aka when you done grinding crabs on the beach in Westfall
@ Thanks, crazy fast reply. Do you have a 1-60 video guide or something like it? I was planning on going paladin 2h up to 42 and then go ZF solo pull. But changed my mind seeing some of your vids.
@@Dsdler You can do 2 hander whatever as long as you know the value of spirt gear. Ret or 11/X/0 At level 41 you will go AoE farming though... or just keep it up with 2 hander you call. Level 41 is when you can have consecration and Blessing of Salv... but you want Int and spirt gear. Personally I just going Stam/Spirt all the way with some Owl pieces. Look up "Jugsoflgiht tanking dungeon" he does lots of spirt gear stuff. The int/stam gear pulls 4 mobs, kills them, drinks. Stam Spirt is 3 at a time with faster recovery.
I really want the good information that exists in your videos but it's like dropping a small chocolate in a giant pile of shit and trying to find and clean the chocolate, it's just not worth it.
Savage but accurate. This channel would have a lot more subscribers if the content was trimmed down and edited. It’s a case of great knowledge, weak presentation. 10 mins of info in a 90 minute video.
Isn't 2shotting a mob in retri safer than tanking 4 mobs easily, but killing them for like 5mins? Like you are super safe in different situations, but it looks like it's faster to level retri 40, die and level 40 again than 1-40 in this one
Your logic here disturbs me. I suppose IF you could 2 shot mobs then this would be true but lets look at the facts. Fact 1: It takes Deep Ret about 20s to kill a mob then +5s of down time for mana recovery on average. 20s of combat = 6-7 auto attacks at 3.6s speeds. Fact 2: "Seal of Casino"... about every 1 in 25 mobs you will Miss, Dodge, Parry with your attacks so much that it will take +50% longer to kill said mob. About 1 in 40 it will take +100% Longer. Seal of Casino, refers to Seal of Commands double dipping of Miss, Dodge, Parry as it needs the white to HIT... then the Seal Proc to not miss, dodge, parry. While leveling deep ret you are likely to have a -15% chance to hit the target or worse... These means White attacks have a -15% hit chance and Command has a -28%... or put another way... Per weapon swing Seal of Command has a 40% Chance to Proc round abouts... But once you factor in Seal of Casino while leveling its more like 30%. Fact 3: DPS Paladin 1 Hand DPS is about 80% of the damage output of 2 hand DPS. Butt Naked with a 2 Hander you can do 80%. Hence all your Str/Stam/Crit/Hit gear really only increases damage by 25%. I could go deeper into the math but you will find that 1 Handers kill mobs in 25s while 2 handers kill in 20s... Stam Spirt = no down time for the 25s so its competitive. Fact 4: The Longer Deep Ret takes to kill a mob do to bad RNG or 1v2 the more DOWN TIME the build has to recover or run away = Bad. 1 in 40 Mobs will take so LONG to kill it can actually be lethal. Deep Ret with Stam/Spirt = Good but Deep Ret Str/Stam = Bad beacuase when you find your self in one of these... 1v2 mob fights with RNG going badly... at LEAST Stam/Spirt can Regen you so much mana you can SURVIVE but in Str/Stam Gear you die do to just miss, miss, dodge, parry, miss. What damage you lose in STR you make up for in Judgement Damage do to excess mana. Fact 5: Seal of Command has NO heal in Combat so... yikes?
@@pallytime2156 English is not my main language, sorry in advance, maybe my first comment seemed a little mocking. sorry, didn't mean to. I'm not here to argue, maybe im doing something wrong, I dont know paladins math at all, I'm not making anything up because there is no reason for that an here is whats going on: Im playing HC , 38 level, all best str+stam greens from AH, cobalt crusher 2h, full ret, literally 15second/mob, and up to 30 when there are some bad misses etc. Mobs are like 1000-1200hp and my auto is around 200 non crit, sometimes you literally oneshot them with crit+crit proc, never drink, because all you do is autoattacks+1 rank casino cost is nothing, but if there are 3+ mobs you are definitely in danger, but its so rare if you are careful. So my leveling was just cruising and smashing mobs with big but slow hits. Yesterday I Got Green Tower drop(not the best for this build, I guess? gnomeregan shield feels better in terms of damage?), and ret pal was boring af, so I decided to try this build, bought all stam+spirit/int gear, 1.50sec 1h knightly sword, and now Im effing immortal, but holy f, killing 1 mob is literally minimum 30sec. I can pull 5+ easily, but most of the time I just kill them 1 by 1, because in 80% situations all the mobs are spread or quests require you to kill a certain type of them which are not so many and you don't need others standing near.
@@slayclovekach6699 Ahh not first language got it. If Ret was better I would tell you. There is a "Of the Tiger" Deep Ret Build that is Really good... Agi/Str... but that's for non-hardcore chars and all you do is kill mobs 1 at a time tell 60. Deep Ret is really good below level 40... around level 40+ the mobs begin scaling in stats rather hard.... ESPECIALLY with HP. So for example 10 Levels from where you are at level 48... Mobs will have 3,000 HP give or take. Its like every level +150-200HP and +8 Damage. Game basically expects your level 40 talent to ++ your damamge... mortal Strike... Shadow form... AoE Farming Palading starts at level 42... It gets bad.
@@slayclovekach6699 Kills 1v1... because mobs are spread out? Hmmm. You need to go watch a Paladin AoE farm vid. TLDR = Use Rank 1 Consecration spam to gather up as many mobs as you like. I like using fast 2 hander and exorcism. Level 41 is when AoE REALLY happens do to having consecration AND Blessing of Sanctuary.
"as you can see, the fight against these three ogres was way easier." (blues, pots, had to bubble) "by the time I kill this guy I'll be full mana." (at 70% mana when he dies) slurps water*

That a bible question? There is no line or passage in the Bible that is anti-gay. Hence why they can never cite a passage on it. Some is anti Sodomy.... but that is Grape in the Butt. Not really the same thing.
@@pallytime2156 I will preface my following statement by saying I am no longer religious, nor do I subscribe to any specific predetermined set of morals, but yes, there are verses in the bible that are anti gay. Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13 are the main ones everyone cite. In every translation they are anti-gay verses. Other verses are: Romans 1:26-28 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
@@skreelthebarbarian True... but you have to be careful with bible verses. For example on the subject of women I think think it was... Pual/Peter (always forget which one) starts by saying "on the subject of X I have nothing from God to tell you on the subject..." then goes on to give his own personal opinion on the matter. I like to point out that even IF God is anti-Gay... that all "Sins" "Separate" you equally from God... but not all sins are equal to each other. God often can be seen saying X sin = Burn in Hell and of Y sin = Eww gross, me no like or think it good for you. Effectively. So I would have to analyze said verses. But it seems like a minor sin if it is one. We are all sinners... all have to ask forgiveness... I fail to see how said "sing of gay" is any different then me saying "God Damnit" or the like. Minor sins... Repent... Move on.
@@pallytime2156 Yeah man I agree with your thought process. My main point was that "There is no line or passage in the Bible that is anti-gay." is false. There are anti-gay verses. Im not arguing that it would be considered a mortal sin or a minor sin, or even whether there is a distinction between the two, just that theologically speaking, it is considered a sin and the bible is against it. I am not a christian any longer, I left the faith a long time ago. I don't know why I even care enough to post about it, but here I am. Maybe I find it hypocritical that chistians often pick and choose which verses they want to consider divinely inspired. There are vast differences in belief even within the christian faith though, as Im sure you are aware. I grew up in a denomination that believed the entire bible was the infallible word of god, however I have met people of other denominations that believe it is more of a guide and not necessarily all from god. Anyways, I like your paladin videos. Lux Vult
@@skreelthebarbarian I hear that... yeah that "infalable word of god" thing some morrons believe always makes me laugh. Because I can tank to God. I read the Bible back to front. Its FULL of people having relationships with God withou the Bible even existing. Then there is the part where Jesus says he is but a stepping stone to the Lord. The Bible is great, but if you can litterally TALK TO GOD... Voice in Head God... The hell do I need the Bible for? If Bible says 1 thing and Voice in Head says something else = what do? For me = Fallow voice tell it proves to be wrong. So far hasn't seemed to let me down. I wasn't raised Crhistian or went to Church. I use to think God was made up fiction for people to WEAK to handle life without it. But then I got to thinking "50% of the human population says something worth a damn is over here... wouldn't I be remiss? Nay a COWARD even? If I did not go do an investigation myself?" So I did and these Morrons kept telling me they could talk to God as a voice in there head. So I tried it and rest is history I supose.
I like that math sometimes... but I kinda give up on it some times sense often things can be like "20% Reduction and 25% Increase = same thing?" Aka 80 x 1.25 = 100 100 minus 20% = 80. So for example when I say "1 handers do 80% of the damage or 2 Hander builds" that is technically a 25% increase in damage or a 20% Reduction. Or when I point out that you do 80% of your damage as a Paladin butt naked with a good 2 Hander... and the totality of that str/stam/crit gear you have on amounts to +25% Damage at most... But yeah... that math worked in this case... +88%... likely 100% if buffed and better geared.
does the official hardcore server have different formulas for some spells? rank 3 seal of righteousness does not result in more damage from SP comparatively like you’ve show in previous videos.
After 20 some odd years, they fixed the scaling in later ranks of SoR February 16, 2024 WoW Classic Era Paladin Fixed an issue where Seal of Righteousness ranks 4 and higher did less damage than rank 3. This fix has been applied to Season of Discovery and Classic Era.
First watched your vid last year on HC release and managed to hit 60 (on my 2nd go…I’ve always main’d Rogue, lol). Pleasantly surprised to see an updated video from you - thanks so much!
wooo! hour and a half of unorganized paladin rambling! ❤❤
you don't have to stay.
@@VictorVonVikernes-cm2wh he not gonna let you hit buddy
thank god i found your vids. subbed. i just hit 41 on anniversary era and i was REALLY itching to get out of the slow swing build.
your vids have alot of good info, i just wish it was condensed into a shorter vid. i appreciate all the work you put in, it just gets a little confusing at times sifting thru your vid trying to find answers to my questions
this build is what got me to lvl 60 on my hardcore character last year, will do the same for fresh because it's way more fun than pure ret
Love the long form guides!
Great video! Looking forward to more from you :)
I can't give you good advice here... because part of why many paladins LOVE stam/spirt is because we have tried str/stam before and know how bad that is come level 44ish
So I say keep doing Str/Stam tell level 40. But come level 40 you going to want to decide stam/spirt... int... or str.
You won't like str... = my advice.
the most angry paladin you will ever see
Just in time for FRESH
YAAAASSSSS!
THIS is what I have been HUNTING for since hearing about Fresh.
Thanks for the video!
Nice guide again! Ty m8!!
Love your videos ive been watching them all to be a great paladin, but i would suggest if possible to divide the video into sections!
For other fast weapons you can go for Crescent of Forlorn Spirits from the Stalvan quest line and the Hacking Cleaver which has Eagle, Whale and even Healing Power versions. Lvl 28, 1.90 speed.
Hey man, ive noticed you havent tried gorilla gear. Can you speak on that for str and int, mana and bonks? I understand stam is huge, but also *heals*
Str/Spirt.
I'm following this build. lvl 27 in fresh HC servers having a lot of fun.

34:26 Did you mean BEFORE armor? Otherwise what sense does it make. After armor it would be borderline broken.
There’s a lot of things that are ACTUALLY pissing you off!
Whale has another hidden advantage, it's way cheaper than eagle or bear. People considers whale to be trash, only worth for enchanter to get dust, that's why you can get really cheap piece in the AH.
Stockadin with Six Demon Bag still viable? It worked wonders for a few weeks in TBC.
Not really in classic No... 6 Deamon still has 100% spell Power ratio but your Spell Power will be so low for so long that it will hit for 400 damage at best.
Shock Eye is fight 31/3/17
A holy shock build with Command to twist and Eye for and Eye.
Which for us and our excess mana Regen... is good.
@@pallytime2156thanks, you're actually commenting on it in the video
Exactly the resource I was looking for, thank you!
While I'm here, me and a friend are looking to possibly do a duo hardcore playthrough. We have a bit of experience, but no classic vanilla. I'm looking to run as a pocket healer, and I'm torn 50/50 between Priest and Pally. Both seem fun for different reasons. I always thought shadow priest seemed cool and it seems like you can run shadow and still heal very well throughout leveling. While on the other hand, I like the safety of Pally with it's higher armor, and better protection/single target healing for my duo. Consecration also seems like it might be good with my duo who will be running either Warrior or Pally (I feel like Retaliation + Consecration or Consecration x2 paired with Pally's protection and single target heals could possibly open up AoE farming for us later, while Priest might not allow that, but might be better in things like Elite quests)
Any suggestions?
Preist + X = Top Tier Dual leveler
Paladin + X = Top Tier Dual leveler
Nothing else comes close.
Mobs will chase you for 10s low level and 16s at level 50+
After that I put 4-5 Points in Toughness...
Light be with you!
Is ret aura the best aura for leveling as 1v1 holy shock build? Or devo can save you more health/mana?
@pallytime2156 but the drip.... :(
Hey Pallytime, love your videos.
Video is great and really helpful, this could’ve may been 15 minutes. It was an hour and 20 minutes of repeating the same thing.
Is the Stam spirit w some int palu leveling build good for world PvP too if someone ganks u would u have the dam to kill horde
Pure Stam/Int is BiS for PvP while leveling but Spirt with some Int is also really good.
Just alter your play so your mana and HP are kept REALLY HIGH and Horde never want to gank you.
What’s a faster leveler in non hc realms 2h Enh sham or 2h pally for questing and more livable in wpvp
Dude I really wish you would show a gear progression guide from 1-60 for Paladin. I saw your "gear progression" guide and it starts at like level 30.
buy whatever is cheap off the AH... or use whatever you get out of dungeons. Really that simple.
@pallytime2156 awesome, thanks! Happy new years brother.
Do u always use rank 1 concecration?
No we have new rotation these days... use Max Rank SoR and Max Consecration with no judge Crusader
@pallytime2156 cool, thank brother. So just dont judge crusader and keep SoR? Do u jodge SoR for damage?
Hi, I was wondering what two handed weapons I should go for post lvl 30, will any around 3.0 or faster be good?
Get a Knightly at level 33... its BiS for a fair few levels... falls off around level 40... but picks back up again for AoE farming BiS at level 41.
2 Handers are also fine. Just whatever is cheep. Go kill the demons outside the Flight path in desolace... then later the UD south of there.
@@pallytime2156 Ty man! Just hit 33 and got my knightly longsword. Is the play to keep it until I can get a flurry axe ?
With Verigans fist, would it justify using it over a 1h/shield at this level range? (Speaking from a hardcore, non self-found perspective)
Verigan' Fist is very powerful until about lvl 28. I would use it but keep a 1h and shield in bags with me
Hey love this. New-ish to pally and to Alliance really lol....but I've seen the light...thought I jump in the deep end with HC ssf paladin. Only lvl17 atm but having fun. Hey great content as usual!
Can you show the stamina / spirit Ret Paladin in th future ?
Do you just keep the Knightly longsword all the way to 60?
I'm currently in the 40's on the fresh servers and I feel like my damage is falling off dramatically
If not hardcore then you use a fast 2 hander... or a slow one... just whatever is cheep off the AH or from a dungeon.
Its really your stam spirit that is doing it.
AoE tanking is level 42ish... you Knightly for that but 2 hander is usually better for single target.
Appreciate it 😊
Look into Turtle Scale gear from Leatherworking, it has stam, int and spirit. can start being crafted at lvl 36. also they updated the scaling of rank 8 SoR to be 20%, pretty insane
This has such a great meaning followed by you not realizing that you can divide rather than guessing multiplications? gg
Test it if you like but if I say... divide 80 by 100... to figure out... say... in Stam/spirt I do 80 DPS and in Str/stam I do 100 DPS...
I get .8
What this is TELLING Me is that it is a 20% Damage Reduction... but what its NOT telling me is that it is a 25% Damage increase...
Getting one number is easy getting the other is hard.
Recently I doing video on Battle brothers and I using these weps that do 70% damage to armor but can Legendary up to 100%...
Going from 70% to 90% is a 29% Increase in Damage... going 90-100% is 11%... and 100-110 is 10%
Point is 90% + damage is fairly liner in scaling. But anything below that starts dropping rapidly.
80 to 90 would be +12.5% Damage. Or Faster Leveling speed if down time wasn't a thing... you get the idea.
Yeah so... getting % Reduction is easy... getting the % Increase is hard... or maybe there is a formula I don't know
HERE WE GOOOOO
Hey! Been watching your videos ( too late of course so I spent lots of gold jumping between specs not really getting the hang of paladin. So I went 11/X/12 to get PoJ,but that of course means I won’t get BoS until level 53 or something.
I’m running a mix of whale and eagle gear.
Currently lvl 48
I’ve also watched your holy reck video and was wondering if that is actually a viable leveling spec?
You can HEAL and TANK in 27/26/0
There are 2-3 floating talent points you can put where you like... 3/5 1 hand wep mastery... or 3/3 lasting judgement.
I always do 3/3 Lasting judgement for PvP
And in PvE judging a 40s JoL on say, Firemaw and Geddon Makes the raid love you.
You Healing will be LOW cause you are doing JoL / JoW... but no one will care.
Is there any chance to get a HC serveur in SOD ?
Yo! Thanks for the long guide.
One question. Do you transition to Sword and board as soon as u get lvl 6 with Sotc?
Ret or 11/X/0
At level 41 you will go AoE farming though... or just keep it up with 2 hander you call.
Stam Spirt is 3 at a time with faster recovery.
can you talk about dwarf vs human?

That's what the TLDR in the comments if for.
LoL
This is fucking hilarious hahahahaha.
Savage but accurate. This channel would have a lot more subscribers if the content was trimmed down and edited.
It’s a case of great knowledge, weak presentation. 10 mins of info in a 90 minute video.
Wow this comment is so key. I have scrolled through dozens if this guy's videos just to find the reckoning build.
I run strength int gear with stam spirit gear to fill out the blanks
Fact 3: DPS
Paladin 1 Hand DPS is about 80% of the damage output of 2 hand DPS.

At level 38, I head to the Undead in Desolace you see me killing in many a stam/spirt guide video.

Return of the pallytime HC videos?!
25% Eagle
75% Whale
...But Silvered Bronze is good in place of some of your Whale
Dude, you said I was dumb for running anything but stam+int…. What the heck, man?
Still works, but with a lot more drinking. ^^
Spirit+stam still OP
There was a fresh hc server announcement?
Its rumored.
Does this apply for low lvl pvp too?
Hahahaha... hell no. Low Level PvP is Reckoning, Stam/Int Gear, Goblin Mortar, Nade, Swift Pots, and Rocket Boots.
Stam/Int usually BiS for low level PvP
@ ok thanks! And do you go shield and one hander?
Dude,... math... divide the new number by the old number and you have your increasement number ;)
Eng or alch though my man?
max rank SOR now?
Yes.
Am i allowed to play the paladin class if i like men?
That a bible question?
There is no line or passage in the Bible that is anti-gay. Hence why they can never cite a passage on it.
Some is anti Sodomy.... but that is Grape in the Butt. Not really the same thing.
@@pallytime2156 I will preface my following statement by saying I am no longer religious, nor do I subscribe to any specific predetermined set of morals, but yes, there are verses in the bible that are anti gay.
Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13 are the main ones everyone cite. In every translation they are anti-gay verses.
Other verses are:
Romans 1:26-28
1 Corinthians 6:9-10

If I did not go do an investigation myself?"
So I did and these Morrons kept telling me they could talk to God as a voice in there head. So I tried it and rest is history I supose.
Wish I had a rundown of your gear you had at this point. Seems twinked out as fuck.
Medium Level Twinked. Its AH greens with a blue wep. Some armor kits... about it.
Nothing out of reason even on fresh server right now.
@@pallytime2156 Yeah it's just I noticed the blue items but I guess you could get them from dungeons as well.
i think you like to play paladin
Pallytime"s2speed"
Ah shit here we go again
tl;dr pls? good info, but too much yapping
Yo my guy I appreciate this guide… also just divide 47/25 next time plz lol I way dying
I like that math sometimes... but I kinda give up on it some times sense often things can be like "20% Reduction and 25% Increase = same thing?"
Aka 80 x 1.25 = 100
100 minus 20% = 80.
+88%... likely 100% if buffed and better geared.
man this is unironically unwatchable. you're all over the place.
Why not just say Stam/Mana is good. It's classic, if it's new people they're 7 year olds.
Need to cut your guides shorter my guy...
does the official hardcore server have different formulas for some spells? rank 3 seal of righteousness does not result in more damage from SP comparatively like you’ve show in previous videos.
After 20 some odd years, they fixed the scaling in later ranks of SoR
February 16, 2024
WoW Classic Era
Paladin
Fixed an issue where Seal of Righteousness ranks 4 and higher did less damage than rank 3. This fix has been applied to Season of Discovery and Classic Era.
