Dropping O'Driscoll worked like a charm.Well done Warren for showing some balls. The result speaks for itself. Some humble pie for quite a few people tonight I fancy.
Interesting.........Lieutenant Colonel Robert Blair "Paddy" Mayne DSO & Three Bars (11 January 1915 - 14 December 1955) was a British Army soldier, solicitor, Ireland rugby union international, amateur boxer, and a founding member of the Special Air Service (SAS), controversially denied a Victoria Cross.
I agree with Murray over Phillips, but JD for me has been the outstanding centre on tour. O'Brien played extremely well but the most outstanding difference in the back row was TF at 8. Warbs played out of his skin in the 2nd test and momentum shifted when he went off injured.
JES WE ALL LOVE THE BOD IN IRELAND ,HE KNOWS HES WELCOME ANYWHERE ,WELL NEVER FORGET HIS SPIRIT ,HIS PRIDE ,HIS LOVE FOR IRELAND AND RUGBY , THE TEST AND SERIES IS LOST ,THE AUSSIES KNEW THIS THE MOMENT GATLAND OPENED HISS GOB
BOD is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, it's no harm that he had the good sense to be born Irish either, surely anyone would have to question the decision to not play him. It makes no sense.
Rich, 1. Ireland is in the UK 2. Ireland crushed Wales in this year's six nations and 3. Ireland has beaten Gatland's Wales pretty much 80% of the time. The truce is over - roll on the Six Nations!
Loving all you Gatland doubters eating your words. I'm Welsh and would not be offended if anyone picked a majority Irish team. The only reason was because the Welsh team is by far the best team in the UK at the moment.
Yep - the one mistake in this hilarious spoof. I have watched it a dozen times and am still laughing. Thank God for inventing Wales. I'm waiting for a clip of Hibberd's big hit on G. Smith spliced with all the hype on the latter during the previous week!
Trust me I'm 26 and growing up watching Wales in rugby wasn't easy until 2005. I think people forget that we as a nation are overly passionate about rugby and we suffered a good 10+ years of hurt. I've always felt that Ireland have always missed one or two vital players and sometimes they are the better team but fail to punish sides. Ireland are my 2nd international side, with Scotland following. Can't stand France or SA. England is more of a rivalry but no hatred for them.
23 tackles and missed none not ringing a bell? His passing wasn't brilliant but the quality of the ball meant that there was nothing he could do. And Davies made 7 tackles and missed 3. What is infuriating is that even below par he is by far the BEST Number 13 on that squad and is getting dropped for no discernible reason.
It's is from a film called "Downfall" which is based on the German side of WW2. as we repetitively hear what life was like for the allies in WW2 we rarely here about the sacrifices and bravery made by the opposing side. i will just end this reply with the infamous quote "history is written by the victors".
I love it, very funny, nice touch with the translation, i.e. most people would just put Fuhrer but I love how you put my leader etc :P Very funny video! The only criticism is the fading, I don't know, but try without the fading text, see how that looks, you can make it sync better with the audio and seem like real subtitles :)
Funny thing is Sir Clive Woodward agrees with his decision to play Jamie Roberts and Jonathan Davies. I think I will go with he opinion of an expert who won the World cup
Although I actually agreed with Gats on his choices for the last test, I thoroughly enjoyed this vid. I can understand why people got upset over the call for 10 welsh boys and BOD being dropped but not to the degree they did. I've heard some people say BOD was the Lions 'best' player which is nonsense, anyone could tell who the best player for the Lions this year was, after all 95 points and a man of the series is just proof of that. HP world class
What an utter crock of shit. Bod doesn't deserve to be in the squad. People rant about his experience yet his "experience led him to make the word pass I've seen this tour followed by the worst kick from hand which put us under the pressure that cost us a try and the second test.
Funny vid but it needs pointing out that three of the Welsh starters on Saturday have experienced victory against Australia. Jamie Roberts Adam Jones and Alun Wyn Jones all played in the victory in Cardiff during November 2008.
which was 54 meters away, he barely kicked 49 meters, they had no choice but to kick because of how strong the defence was from the ozzies so before you start saying it's his fault see if you can kick that far.
Do you really think Horwill would be picked over better NZ players? I just hope that they will have an ANZAC team for a one off tour, 50/50 split. That would be a great event and and a fantastic advert for the game. Maybe in the UK against a Lions team, 25/25/25/25 split. Mouth watering. I bet the AUS media are hanging Horwill, and the coaches out to dry.haha.They protected him over his stamping (3 times in 12 weeks) and now they will turn. Typical hypocritical press, like the UK press. ASSES.
Jon Davies beat 3 irish defenders in the rwc 2011 ha, but seriously they arent welsh when they are playing, they are british and irish lions, that is what they have said, if only the supporters showed the same class as the players...
haha class, cheeky bugger with the Scottish reference mind you, especially given the players' on tour performance and their six nations results this year.
BOD didnt lose the game. He was 2nd highest tackler to Warburton. Davies was wrongly positioned for try cause he didnt trust O'Driscoll to make the tackle. BOD had already made 11 tackles and missed NONE.
I hate all this stuff ;it's the only time we all get together so lets just support OUR team , the British and Irish lions. I'm English , but Wales are a better team and should have the majority of the players this time.
Yeah, i'll accept that premise, although i reject the idea that the past victory record of welsh players should even be taken into consideration, very different situation and it's on the back of a triumphant six nations victory (though i don't even think that should be taken into consideration either)
Still at this moment in time Wales are the best side in the Northern Hemisphere, 4th in the RWC, a GS and 6N title. I like the way Ireland play though and I'll say this again as I always have, if they had beaten us then I would've supported them. I always find Wales vs Ireland is my fav 6N game, even though we lost this year the game was cracking, and that said in 2011 it was the best game in the RWC. Also just to clarify my standpoint, BOD=Legend
As a one off ANZAC (aus+nz) for the centenary of Gallipoli probably you would win, and what a game! As a SH side including SA then i would think it may just be to controversial. We have enough trouble and we are really one country. Put you 3 in a mix and i think there could be a war! Pick a Australian over a NZ player and questions would be asked in NZ parliament. Add SA and there would be real trouble if they felt hard done by. Would be nice to see every 4 years or so. I would pay no probs!
I don't think there is much love lost between BOD and GATS. There may be trouble ahead........as they say. The sad thing about all this is that it will forever overshadow what has been and interesting, and historical tour. Bet Horwill is having a shit time from the AUS press.
If you are British then you should get behind the team whoever is playing. In 1993, 11 english players started in one of the tests. Im pretty sure everyone got behind the team then as they knew it was their best chance of winning
Very funny, a pity the PC brigade had to poke their noses in. We Irish, Scots, English and Welsh have taken the mickey out of each other for many years, it's called banter. Lets hope these Welshmen are not the same ones Ireland beat a few months ago. "Come on the Lions"
I am behind the Lions, that's why i applaud the DOD (God to the Irish) decision and urge Gats to get rid of that second rate FH Sexton and replace him with that fine English FH Farrell. Glad we are both in agreement. I think Gats broke POC arm on purpose to stop him "fecking" up our chances. What do you think mate! Best fun i have had in my office for years!!!
I cannot believe people are still uploading Downfall parodies to RUclips in 2013. I just cannot believe it. I mean, people were posting RUclips Downfall parodies featuring Hitler complaining about the number of RUclips Downfall parodies as long ago as 2009.
Yes, but put Wales up against Ireland now with Gatland at the helm, Wales would win, hands down. The six nations will be decided by Wales and France this year, I would think.
"Don't worry, there's still no Scots on the team." I fucking lost it there.
One of the better ones . What amazes me is the speed it has been written and put together and edited . Well done !
I met Brian o Driscoll at the rds when my team were playing their at half time
Of all the uses this episode has been used for..this is by far the best. Thanks Connor...belly laugh stuff!
Funniest thing I've ever seen on RUclips. Loved the long pause after discovering B O D was dropped. Great footage, AND CRACKING SUBS!
Dropping O'Driscoll worked like a charm.Well done Warren for showing some balls. The result speaks for itself. Some humble pie for quite a few people tonight I fancy.
Genius Conor, funniest thing I have seen in a long time!
Brilliant funniest one I've seen for ages, well done :)
This, this right here, is what Gatland needs to see. Thank you sir, you cheered up my otherwise miserable morning!
BOD this is how much we love you! best there is and ever will be! #shouldbecaiptin
Fantastic, love these videos, they are so funny & to the point. Love the reference to Gatland going back to the Welsh Job.
Great comments mate, thanks for the info, everyone needs to know about this.
absolutely amazing.
I'm brazilian and this video shows exactly how we're suffering from this rather unhappy[not to say bitchly] decision from Gatland.
Love this scene...it's great to not have a clue about German, think I'll keep that up for the next installment of this.
"The nurses have been paid today"....priceless! God love em...I do!
its fantastic that the publisher is being paid for his efforts,
we need more comedy like this, and perhaps 250 is not enough.
cleverly done..
Absolutely Brilliant
Don't you love how quiet the criticism has become? we didn't need him and despite what people believed picking that many welshmen was a good thing.
Very well done!
How did I know someone would do one of these about BOD being dropped! Brilliant
At last - something the English, Irish and Scots can agree upon!
Well said. People got real mad from emotion. Coaches and management cannot do that.
Nice one directed by Austin Healey, assistant director Stuart Barnes, some one once told me about the last laugh!
I , as a true Rugby follower, and Irish, wish to say well done to, Bowe, O'Brien and Sexton for making their debut on the Welsh Team!!!!
Interesting.........Lieutenant Colonel Robert Blair "Paddy" Mayne DSO & Three Bars (11 January 1915 - 14 December 1955) was a British Army soldier, solicitor, Ireland rugby union international, amateur boxer, and a founding member of the Special Air Service (SAS), controversially denied a Victoria Cross.

This has brightened up what has otherwise been a dreary depressing day for rugby
Bendigedig !! Brilliant !! Who said we Cymru have no sense of humour ???
BOD is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, it's no harm that he had the good sense to be born Irish either, surely anyone would have to question the decision to not play him. It makes no sense.
That is one of the better ones. Really good job. 'At least there's no Scots'...harsh. Commiserations BOD, good luck to the Lions.
Thank you someone who see's the logic in Gatlands choices.
We won the series with a record win and their still whining about it.
Rich, 1. Ireland is in the UK 2. Ireland crushed Wales in this year's six nations and 3. Ireland has beaten Gatland's Wales pretty much 80% of the time. The truce is over - roll on the Six Nations!
Brilliant!!!
Brilliant. Thanks for making me laugh! :-)
Superb!
Wonderful, Weeping laughing, just hope we're in the same mood later on Saturday.
Loving all you Gatland doubters eating your words. I'm Welsh and would not be offended if anyone picked a majority Irish team. The only reason was because the Welsh team is by far the best team in the UK at the moment.
Well said !!!!!!!!!
Hope he doesn't
live to regret the decision, but there is none braver than the Welsh boys xx
Yep - the one mistake in this hilarious spoof.
I have watched it a dozen times and am still laughing.
Thank God for inventing Wales.
I'm waiting for a clip of Hibberd's big hit on G. Smith spliced with all the hype on the latter during the previous week!
Exactly, the only response is personal attacks
Brilliant!
Wow. Thanks for that ground breaking bit of news.
Trust me I'm 26 and growing up watching Wales in rugby wasn't easy until 2005. I think people forget that we as a nation are overly passionate about rugby and we suffered a good 10+ years of hurt. Why is everyone complaining. Bod was terrible in the first two matches. Winning now is more important than some history.
It's is from a film called "Downfall" which is based on the German side of WW2. as we repetitively hear what life was like for the allies in WW2 we rarely here about the sacrifices and bravery made by the opposing side. i will just end this reply with the infamous quote "history is written by the victors".
Absolutley fucking brilliant. Whoever did this is a fucking genius. Funniest thing ive seen in ages. Well done
This clip with the Vuvezela horns during Word Cup sub titles is so much better
I love it, very funny, nice touch with the translation, i.e. most people would just put Fuhrer but I love how you put my leader etc :P Very funny video!
The only criticism is the fading, I don't know, but try without the fading text, see how that looks, you can make it sync better with the audio and seem like real subtitles :)
Brilliant stuff and recommended to all my rugby mates!
Gatland made the worst desision possible
For the lions
But Wales 6 nations win in 2011 was done by cheating.
The last 2 times the Ozzies played against a team with 15 Scots in it they got beat. So a team with no Scots should hold no fear for them
Nice video, with O'Driscoll on the Aussies wouldn't have got put 16 past us. Still overjoyed by the series : ) LIONS!
Fantastic!
A fair fight is when you get the chance to defend yourself...not duped then dragged into those chambers to die...get yourself a concious
Lions have never won a game without a Scot in the starting lineup.
Funny thing is Sir Clive Woodward agrees with his decision to play Jamie Roberts and Jonathan Davies. I think I will go with he opinion of an expert who won the World cup

Excellent

Half time and so far Warren is looking OK with his
big call on O'Driscoll

haha class, cheeky bugger with the Scottish reference mind you, especially given the players' on tour performance and their six nations results this year.
i agree it just pisses me off when i read stupid comments like that
I'm not a rugby fan, but i still find this hilarious
Going through my history and here I am again just the best clip to watch ever I'm having another look 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best bit - "Don't worry, there still aren't any Scots in the team"
Execlent !!!

Me neither. It's an outrage.
Does anyone else still revisit this or is it just me lol

there we go,didn't need the old boy
Man I'm almost hoping for the worst. Let Gatland fall on his sword
As a Scot (who chuckled at the spelling mistakes in the English text) I'm still baffled. This is about rugby, right?
I cannot believe people are still uploading Downfall parodies to RUclips in 2013. I just cannot believe it. I mean, people were posting RUclips Downfall parodies featuring Hitler complaining about the number of RUclips Downfall parodies as long ago as 2009.

A seriously old meme, but very nicely done!
Nice one......................
Also the nurses in Sidney got paid today haha brilliant
had to have been posted by an irishman! haven't laughed so much in ages, but still p***ed off at the decision!
