I'm Irish and Safin has always been my favorite player even more than Nadal.I often think if Safin had Nadal mind and love for tennis he'd have won alot more than 2 slams and 5 master 1000 and I don't think injuries would have kept he out for over 4 years throughout his career and he certainly wouldn't have retired at 29 which is coming into your prime.He also won 2 Davis Cups where he was the best player and he's 1 of very few to reach at least the semi final in the 4 Slams.

Safin played and beat Novak Twice.2005 Australian open which Safin won and the second round of 2008 Wimbledon where Safin lost in the Semi final against Roger and btw it's 6-0 to Safin in sets played.
