Roger Federer - Imitating Other Player's Shots

  • Roger Federer in an incredible player that is amazing at improvising and inventing new shots. However, sometimes, he likes to have fun during exhibitions and practices and imitates or resembles other player's shots. Even in real matches he still occasionally uses the Sampras slam dunk, the Connors skyhook smash, the two-handed backhand lob, and many more shots all featured in this compilation.

    Federer's shot variety is unmatched by any player I've ever witnessed. When the final tally is counted he might not be the best player ever but he is the most talented. Some of the shots he hits...i mean it's a highlight reel, so you're expected something amazing and still he amazes you.

    • @RobertHurleyJr

      Jay S. Tremendous point. Djokovic or Nadal may finish with more slams. But no comparison Federer has most variety and skill.

    • @dewman7477
      @dewman7477 3 года назад +10

      That's because Federer played in Sampras era back in 1998 when he started his career all the way up to Nadal/Djokovic era present. Playing serve and volley to baseline game has helped him develop an all around variety game where he is a hybrid of both eras of Sampras and Nadal/Djokovic

    • @srj34
      @srj34 3 года назад +6

      @@RobertHurleyJr Nadal may finish with more slams because on one of those surfaces he becomes Superman. You take away his French Open titles and he's "just" another all-time great; you include the French and he's a GOAT candidate. He is the least of the Big Three for that very reason.
      Take away Wimbledon and Federer has 12 slams.
      Take away the Australian and Djokovic has 9 slams.
      Take away the French and Nadal has 7 slams.
      He's a great, great player, but not up to the standard of Djokovic or Federer.

    • @HIMYMTR
      @HIMYMTR 3 года назад +10

      @@srj34 he is the least of the big three because he dominates djokovic and federer on clay? lmao, that's a point in his favor, how about we take away federer and djokovic's hard court titles

    • @srj34
      @srj34 3 года назад

      @@HIMYMTR So your way is to take away two slams from Federer and Djokovic compared to one from Nadal? What am I missing?
      Again: I took Federer's best venue away from him and he still has 12 slams. I took Djokovic's best venue from him and he has 9 slams. Nadal minus his cheat-code surface and he's got 7. What exactly don't you get about this? I would expect the best player of all time to be way up on the list even without his best surface. For instance:
      Minus Wimbledon, with 12 slams Federer is two behind Sampras and one ahead of Borg.
      Minus the Australian, with 9 slams Djokovic is two behind Borg, one ahead of Connors, Lendl, and Agassi.
      Minus the French, with 7 slams Nadal is tied with Mats Wilander and McEnroe, one behind Connors, Lendl, and Agassi.
      Djokovic is rather likely to add to that non-Australian total, maybe even catch Federer's non-Wimbledon total. Do you really think Nadal has three more slams in him outside of Roland Garros?
