Hi, Melissa! First, thank you for your videos. You have saved my face from many chemical burns and irritation 😅. Second: I am a Med Tech/RCA (Resident Care Attendant). Currently, we are having a Covid breakout in our facility...So we are stuck wearing N95's, surgical masks over that, and then a giant plastic shield over all of that. My skin is looking tortured and tired. I use CeraVe daily as I have PeriOral Dermatitis. Tonight I bought the skin-renewing exfoliating treatment, skin-renewing night scream, and skin-renewing Vit-C cream. Usually, I use either my Neutrogena hydro-boost fragrance-free, Vit-c, and Niacinamide during the day and at night the Hydro boost and at night I use my Versed daily brightening solution (twice a week) and Urban Skin Rx-Even Tone (has REALLY helped my PeriOral) I also wash my face with CeraVe cleanser. I apologize for this long comment, but I figured it was best to put everything I use, as it would help me. I would like to know what exactly I should and shouldn't mix? I am considering switching over to CeraVe completely. If I did that, can I use all 3 products I listed above together??
Hey! :) Oh no! The current situation does not make anyone’s skin look the best...😔 You can do it like this: AM: - Urban Skin Rx or Cerave Cleanser - Cerave Vitamin C - Neutrogena Moisturizer - SPF (when being exposed to the sun) PM : - Cerave Cleanser - Cerave Renewing Exfoliating Treatment or Versed Daily Brightening Solution - Niacinamide - Cerave Renewing Night Cream This would be an example AM and PM routine! :) Of course, adjust the frequency of your exfoliating acid products that you use in the PM.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you SO, SO much for this!! I really appreciate it 💜 I absolutely love that you take so much time to break each product down for people and also will reply to poor souls who can not figure their skin routine out 😅! I look forward to more of your videos !
@@jammieperez1237 You may be able to use them in the same routine. However, I recommend using them in separate PM routines to see how your skin is reacting to this combination before using them together. Also, if you can use them together, keep an eye on the frequency of the exfoliant. You may not be able to use them daily together in the same routine. This can increase the likelihood of experiencing irritation.
I bought the nite time exfoliation , I love it. I’m glad I checked your you tube video I use the cera ve lotion in the tub, because I’m just getting over breast cancer n nothing worked for my skin. I don’t go day with out the lotion. So I’m going to go get me some more product for my face!,
Hi! I tried this for the first time today and as someone with combo to oily skin, I agree it makes my skin feel and look oilier. What exfoliant would you recommend for combo-oily skin?
It may work, but sometimes it can be drying. Generally, it's best to use a hydrating or foaming cleanser to avoid irritating the skin any further. Choose the one that best fits your skin type.
If you really want to use both, then I recommend using them on alternate days. However, make sure not to overdo it, as daily use may lead to irritation over time.
Hey Melissa, I am a new subscriber. Your videos are to-the-point, detailed and honest. I am new to such skincare. I have tried to put together a routine for myself. Please let me know if it is fine. AM Clean with mild facewash Toner (opt, like rosewater) Vit c serum Wait for 30 seconds Hyaluronic acid Sunscreen PM Clean face Toner (opt) Alpha arbutin Niacinamide Hyaluronic acid Once a week AHA BHA peel Niacinamide Hyaluronic acid
Hey! :) The order of application looks great! :) You can also add Retinol and/or Lactic Acid into your routine. However, I recommend adding one of them at first and then adding another one in a few months. This way, your skin has time to adjust. Avoid using Lactic Acid and Retinol in the same routine. Avoid using the Peeling Solution and Lactic Acid in the same routine. And avoid using the Peeling Solution and Retinol in the same routine. Either start with The Ordinary 2% Granactive Retinoid or 0,2% Retinol.

Hi melissa.again nice video.give your reviews on dermalogica daily scrub if possible.
Hi! I tried this for the first time today and as someone with combo to oily skin, I agree it makes my skin feel and look oilier. What exfoliant would you recommend for combo-oily skin?
I recommend looking into an AHA + BHA combo or just a Salicylic Acid exfoliant :)
Saludos Melissa! hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Hey! :)
We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Luxembourg, however I hope that you enjoyed it! :)
Can I use this exfoliation serum with cerave hyaluronic hydrating serum in the same routine .
yes you can :)
AFTER WASHING THE FACE WITH CERAVE. CAN I USE THE CERAVE NIGHTLY EXFOLIATING TREATMENT AND CERAVE SERUM WITH VIT C BEFORE BED TIME? THANK YOU

BUT IN MORNING BEFORE I WORK CAN I USE CERAVE SERUM WITH VIT C THEN CERAVE MOISTURISER? THANK YOU.
IN THE EVENING CERAVE CLEANSER-- NIGHTLY EXFOLIATING TREATMENT -- MOISTURISER? IS THAT RIGHT ROUTINE MAM MELISSA? THANK YOU

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Tyyyy :)
So I can’t use retinol if I use this?
I wouldn't use it together. Best to use it on different days/times.
If im using BHA already then how should I adjust AHA with BHA in my skincare routine?
If you really want to use both, then I recommend using them on alternate days. However, make sure not to overdo it, as daily use may lead to irritation over time.
