I really rate Cerave highly, for the money, their hydrating cleanser and moisturising lotion are just brilliant for dry reactive rosacea type of skin - compared to the expensive boutique brands

To everyone asking if they can use this with retinol. She said in video you can! She recommended using retinol at night and this product in morning, just make sure you apply sunscreen afterwards. I would also recommend, because my skin is very sensitive to alternate the days using this and retinol. If you use this product tonight, use retinol tomorrow night! Good luck! I love Cerave!!
No it should be use alternating nights (one night retinol one night this)

Ooooo, Cerave bringing it. I’m trying their red line/itchy skin lotion for the first time. With the cooler weather and wearing high neck tops, my neck gets very irritated and itchy…hoping this helps. Thanks for the video, Happy Tuesday!💕

I’m very cautious with using cerave and cetaphil, both have irritated my skin so much that they have given me breakouts but I’ll check this out.
I like the fact that the Cerave Acne Control Gel is a BHA/AHA. I'm going to give that one a try.

I also use Vaseline around my nostrils at night when using an aha leave on product
I make stupid skincare mistakes when I get curious about new products -- I thought a BHA would solve my problems... So I overused it. My skin was dry, so I slathered on moisturizers that I *thought* would be nourishing. What I was left with was skin that always seemed dry/flaky no matter what, and clogged pores and breakouts. Then I had to start using more Panoxyl and wearing more makeup, which made it worse.
Long story short I am going back to basics and seeing improvement in congestion and dryness.
Products I am loving:
-Cerave Cream to Foam cleanser, and double cleansing
-Cerave Daily Lotion, or Aveeno Oat Gel Moisturizer
-Paula's Choice BHA salicylic acid 2-3x per week if I am noticing blackheads/congestion
-Peach and Lilly refining serum as needed
-just added this Cerave Nightly Exfoliating Treatment and plan to use 2-3x per week.
My wedding is in 5 months so I'm going to stick with this, stop getting curious about new products, and pray for the best!

I was hoping to see you review this new CeraVe product! I recently started using it at night under my moisturizer. It's very gentle on my sensitive skin and leaves it very smooth. I use it 3 times per week. So far I'm liking it very much. :)

thanks for informing us. I've got eczema prone, sensitive skin tho haven't had probs in ages for making sure of the products I use are safe. oooh good to know you use moisturizer over it. I'm going to give this a try.

@@umhi5743 I have dry/sensitive skin and it was fine for me without irritation. However, I couldn't stand the smell of it and stopped using it for that reason. It smells strongly of fenugreek seeds.

I would love to get your thoughts on aveeno new cleanser and daily moisturizer. .new items. O wasn't a big fan of calm and retore. The cleanser was ok,, gentle as it claims,but the moisturizer seemed more drying to the skin

I used to use nip & fab glycolic acid pads but it stunk lol so hopefully this doesn't have a weird scent.

I been using it for few months it has work really good resurfacing my mature skin.
I think it would be very helpful if you could also let us know what other ingredients each particular item does not play well with so we know what we can’t use it with!😄
I've only gotten a sunburn twice in my life.. the first time I was on the lake, in a boat, for hours as a kid. And the second time I unknowingly used glycolic acid in a skin mist before going to the beach. It was rough. (Yes I used sunscreen)
I wouldn't even use (low percentage) AHA's under spf 50 sunscreen in Australia. I did it one time without thinking and my face was burning. I can't wait for the ozone layer to come back one day... the difference to burning in Australia vs Greece had me literally gobsmacked when I travelled abroad. Australian and NZ sun is savage. I start burning after 15 minutes.

Love this product. On my second bottle. Makes my skin so soft with no irritation. It tried CeraVe after watching a video from a RUclipsr on skin care. I love their Hydrating Facial Cleanser and Renewing SA Cleanser and have used them for years. I have been using more of their products, some I like, some I don't, and this new Skin Renewing Nightly Exfoliating Treatment that I LOVE. My esthetician noticed the difference,
How has it help your skin overall during the months that you used it ?
@@nandaamaharajh It keeps my skin smoother and soft. I don't just use it just at night. I use it in the morning to sort of prime my skin for the day. My skin does really, really well with CeraVe and I've been using the cleanser and moisturizer for about 10 years. When my skin acts up from makeup or otherwise, CeraVe to the rescue. The only product I don't like is their eye cream. I have most of my routine CeraVe products on autodelivery through Amazon with a 15% discount.

@@nandaamaharajh I tried it because the skin around my eyes needed some help from the dry climate. I have really sensitive eyes. Some other creams irritate my eyes because they travel or accidentally get rubbed too near to the eye. The eye cream actually made my eyes worse.

Cerave is the GOAT. I love that they have such a large variety of products now. My routine is almost all Cerave lol
I have been using this product for a couple weeks in the morning b/c I don't want to mix it with my Tretinoin. It tingles slightly, but isn't uncomfortable. I love that it helps keep my skin bright.
I'm using tretinoin too!! Does it seem to aggravate your peeling? Any negative side effects? Thank you for sharing.
Not at all. But I've been on Tretinoin for years and I've never had any peeling with it.

I got this and its great so far except Found the pump to not work at all-i have the Cerave retinol and it seems to have the same pump, but that one works.

I'm waiting for the purple line to come to Australia 🇦🇺 we can get it online but its expensive. Apparently it's coming here in 2022 I use tretanoin I'm 58 have naturally dry skin. I use the crrevae moisturising cream on my face day and night best cream I've used I use to use high end which were not good like cervae. I get commented on my skin all the time since using it can't wait to try the purple night renewal cream and exfoliating.

Apply your moisturizer first, and let it dry completely. Then apply your mineral or chemical sunscreen...😊
Niacinamide is not what causes the burning and irritation in CeraVe products. All CeraVe products burn my skin, but I can use Bioderma and LRP products with Niacinamide high on the ingredient list with no issues. I think the culprit is the low molecular weight HA in CeraVe products

Hey Dr. Dray! Can you please review COTZ sensitive non-tinted mineral sunscreen SPF 40? I’ve found that this is the only sunscreen my skin can tolerate and I want others to know about it! I have Fitzpatrick photo type 1 skin that is very sensitive to fragrances, chemical sunscreens, etc the list goes on, I am acne prone and have combo skin. All tinted sunscreens are too dark for my skin type so I have to use the non-tinted version of things. Took me forever to weed through so many different mineral sunscreens before I found one that was gentle on the skin, had enough zinc oxide, didn’t make me break out, and layered well under make up! I also use tretinoin which makes my skin more prone to irritation! So go COTZ my forever sunscreen! Hope you see this! 💕
Is salicylic cleanser safe to use with the CeraVe Night Renewing Treatment, or should super gentle creamy cleansers be used instead? Yes, I've used it, am using it. I find tho' I slather & reapply zinc sunscreen that the sunspots darken. Perhaps salicylic cleanser is too much w the Night Renewing Treatment?
Positive note: seems hyaluronic acid moisturizer is super absorbed when using the Night Renewing. Face is SO plumped up!!😍
Hi, Dr. Dray! I love watching your vids. You could sell petroleum to Vaseline! Can you tell me how having my hormones altered (through a surgery for endometriosis gone wrong) could have caused rapid aging? I’d been taking care of my skin since my teens, and could have passed for for 10 years minus my age before the surgery. I lost all my face fat and have lines-out of nowhere! Can this be remedied somehow? One naturopath suggested it was a loss of progesterone. THANKS!

Would you consider this an alternate to the Derma E Overnight Peel? I really liked it but it has Lemon Peel Oil.
I would considerit an alternative, Good molecules also has an overnight exfoliating treatment that she recommends and I do too.

Any chance you could do a video on teen acne using OTC treatments? My son doesn't want to use the Biacna his GP prescribed because it made his acne much worse. I currently have him using Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant followed by The Ordinary Niacinamide 10%+Zinc1%. It has made a small -moderate difference but I wonder if this is the best treatment option? I don't want him to end up with scarring on his beautiful face! Thanks so much!
